Feeling under the weather and had to run an errand but decided to get some pho for takeout. Called in to place my order and although the staff was friendly I thought it was odd they didn't ask for my name and also hung up before giving me the total. But other than that, the rare steak pho was delicious. Ordered the large and it could have easily split it with another person. Coming from So Cal with access to Westminster and the San Gabriel Valley Pho shops, my standards have become pretty high when it comes to Vietnamese food. Pho So 1 stood up to most. Can't say better, but good enough. The service was very good too. my GF's coffee was very strong, so they kept bringing her extra milk until she was happy. I tried the Bun Bo Hue with Oxtail which didn't arrive spicy, which surprised me, but they give you the sauce on the side so you can add the spice yourself. I guess that's a good idea, since I like it really spicy, but caught me off guard. Was good and hit the spot on a cold LV afternoon. This is my favorite place for Pho in all of Vegas. The broth is the star here and you can tell that they simmer their broth with lots of bones because your leftovers congeal from all the collagen that's been rendered into the broth. It is not for everyone, but certain regions of Vietnam the people enjoy the extra fat for taste and warmth. Try not to drink the beef fat thinking it is a cleanser. You will have a face that the patrons will laugh at. I'm not saying that I did it but you never know... Also make sure to order Freshly Made Coconut water - Nuoc Dua - 5 Stars. It was worth the hype! Yelp definitely nailed this one. The ox pho was huge and delicious. The tables were packed on a Tuesday afternoon. Love love love this place! My pho cravings are undoubtedly always satisfied here. Right when I walk in, I'm immediately seated. The vibes of this restaurant are comfy and homey. I have two go-to orders. Starting off with the appetizers, the fresh spring rolls are one you wouldn't wanna skip. It's refreshing and has an amazing peanut dipping sauce. In my opinion, their peanut sauce is one of the best out of all the fresh spring rolls I've tried. As for my entree, I like the beef pho with rare steak and brisket. I first tried here back in my high school days. Over the years I've been many times. It was always my favorite pho spot amongst the limited choices we had. Had a craving for Bun bo hue, this is the 3rd bowl of bun bo hue at 3rd different restaurant within Las Vegas that I have tried so far. I am a new transplant so I've been searching for where my new go-to spots are. Of the 3 so far, I would rank this Bun Bo hue at number 2. Everyone's looking for that hang over cure. Love the parking lot here, it's shared with a big Asian grocery store so we don't have to fight for parking. Inside is your very typical Vietnamese pho shop. Tables turn around very quickly so we were seated and ordered right away. Along with the Bun Bo hue we also ordered the eggrolls. Seems pretty average around here that a plate of 4 egg rolls with all the lettuce and herbs to wrap rings up to $10 for an appetizer. I hate to be that person but "I remember when I could get a bowl of pho for $10" lol. At least with these eggrolls they were of the heftier size. The dipping fish sauce had most of the flavor paired with this eggroll. Now why is this bbh number 2 and not at number 1? Well for my preference, I want to see some blood curds in my bowl. We didn't have any here. More importantly though the broth fell just a tad short. I feel like It definitely needed a little more umami. Nothing fish sauce or shrimp paste couldn't fix but there is that 1 spot that just had a great broth that needed no additions. The portion size was great and had lots of meat but my sister who also ordered bbh said her bowl was full of broth and not enough noodles. Came here with my wife to try out after going to a nearby Asian Supermarket. It was a chilly day that day and figured perfect time for a bowl of pho. I find this place to be a typical nondescript establishment that has seen better days with big huge sign. The place is echo-y inside with metal chairs on tile floor. With the naked eye, the place appears to be clean, although, half way through our meal I did catch a six-legged critter scurrying across the floor and under a nearby table. Thankfully, one of the workers saw it and I believe caught it....I think. To be completely fair, I was a little under the weather and the flavor of the Ribeye Pho couldn't be fully assessed. I could taste the broth but was rather faint. The beef had decent texture and was plentiful. My wife enjoyed her food and had nothing to critique. Not a big seafood fan, therefore, didn't taste any of her food. The fresh spring rolls were fine, though, a bit on the small side in my opinion. Peanut sauce was decent but nothing to write Mom home about. It's evident that quite a few people really like this place (hence, a lot of reviews) and it showed when we were there. There were more than several parties enjoying the food during our patronage. For me, it's fine. It works. A bit spendy for what we got in my opinion. After tip, we paid about $60 without ordering beverages (just water). However, probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here again unless I wanted to have Pho and there was no other option nearby which it's probably not the case since, well, its Chinatown. Because you can never have enough pho. SIL/BIL chose this place since we saw it on our way back from AYCE the evening before. I was only able to get photos of my own order the BBH, and it did not disappoint. I opted to get it without the oxtail since I normally do not eat the meat. I give it to the hubs. And the oxtail was an additional charge if you order with the oxtail ($19.95 I think it was) the flavor is there and they do not skimp on the meat. The beef was nice and tender and generally I do not eat the tendon and today I was brave and it wasn't made. The cha that was in the bowl had a lemongrass flavor to it when I but into it so was interesting. It's not as spicy as other BbH I've tried but I say it does satisfy my pallets. The BBH only comes in one sizes. Most of their regular noodles i.e. pho ga, pho dac bite have S and L. Also ordered a S pho ga for my two younger kiddos to share and they gobbled it up. The chicken is breast meat only, my kids like dark but they did eat some. My oldest ate the chicken on its own. The soup was flavorful and not too salty so that's a plus. read more

This place doesn't just only serve pho but they have a ton of other dishes such as fried rice, meat plates, and tasty Vietnamese-style drinks. It was busy when I was here maybe because of the time and maybe because this place is quite authentic. I enjoyed my dish of the deep-fried cornish hen. It comes with a small bowl of dry noodles from your choice of egg noodles or rice noodles. And also a small side of soup. This place is always busy!! But, don't worry because they turn tables fast. We only waited 10 minutes for a table for 2 people at around 11am on a weekday. They have really good egg rolls, pho and vermicelli!!!! We put our names in and decided to walk next door at Ranch 99 and by the time we finished walking out table was ready. We sat down at our table and ordered right away. The food came out in about 5 minutes! The servers and staff were all very friendly. It was nice to see friendly smiles on the ladies faces. Bbq pork chops were really dry and I had better. Short ribs was good tho. My niece ordered a bbq chicken plate and loved it. But hands down with the Pho noodle soup. Is it just me, or is this place not the same as it used to be? I've been a fan of this place for a while, but my recent visit left me wondering if things have changed--because it just didn't taste the same. I ordered Phở, which still had that signature aromatic smell I remembered. But the taste was off. The rice noodles were a bit soggy/mushy on the first bite, and the broth lacked that rich, deep flavor it used to have. I suspect they might be using more MSG now. I can't say for sure, but whenever I consume a lot of MSG, my throat feels slightly swollen and I get really thirsty--and that's exactly what happened this time. I've never had that issue at this restaurant before. I also tried the Cơm Tấm (Broken Rice), and I wasn't a fan of the BBQ pork chop. There was a noticeable curry flavor in the meat that really threw me off--it just didn't taste right for this dish. I haven't tried their Bún Bò Huế yet, but according to my sister, it's still pretty good.
