Returned again but tried different dishes! Their parking lot was pretty full this time but we still found a spot and were seated right away. Ambiance was busy but still clean and attentive staff. We tried their vermicelli dishes, the lemongrass chicken, grilled pork, egg roll, and grilled shrimp. For $17, the portion isn't bad but could have more meat. No complaints on the taste- everything was delicious.

    So delicious

Pho South Bay is the kind of place that reminds you life isn't so bad, because even if everything else is chaotic, at least your pho is consistent, your rice is garlicky, and your egg rolls are crispy enough to heal emotional damage. The service here is smoother than your last situationship escape. Friendly, fast, and on‑point, they take your order, bring your food. It's hospitality with main‑character energy. You can't come here and not get pho, that's basically illegal. The broth is rich, aromatic, and tastes like it's been simmering since the early 2000s. Every bowl hits with that comforting, soul‑warming flavor that makes you rethink all your life choices and decide you're actually doing great. The Noodles are Silky. The herbs are fresh, and the portions are very Generous, enough to make you question if they're trying to adopt you. The spring egg rolls come out crispy. Golden, crunchy, and packed with flavor, the kind of appetizer you promise to "just have one" and suddenly you're inhaling the whole plate like a vacuum. No crumbs left. No regrets. The garlic fried rice is dangerous. It's fluffy, fragrant, and so good it should come with a warning label. You'll be halfway through the plate thinking, "I could live off this." Honestly, if they sold it by the gallon, you'd consider it. The place is very Clean, welcoming, and chill, the kind of place where you walk in and instantly feel safe, like your stomach is about to be blessed. Bright, tidy, and comfortable without trying too hard. It's giving: "Come in, eat well, and forget your problems for 45 minutes." This place serves comfort, flavor, and good vibes all in one stop. Great service, crispy egg rolls, addictive garlic fried rice, and pho bowls that hit you right in the feelings. It's the kind of spot you leave saying, "Yeah... we're definitely coming back." Total rating 4.5 Ordered Short Rib Pho Output time -5 minutes Price Taste 4/5 The broth is a little too sweet for my taste buds. I just wish there was black pepper provided along the condiment section which would have definitely make the pho better IMHO. Quality on freshness - The basils were great as no signs of wilting. Portions- You get ton of noodles as I couldn't finish all of them. The beef ribs were not tough at all. They have scissors upon request. Service 5/5 Staff are courteous Environment - casual and overall very well kept. Would definitely try other menu items when back.

The portions are great and the staff is friendly. Everything tasted fresh Came a few weeks ago and ordered pho, garlic noodles with beef, and egg rolls The garlic noodles with beef was okay, there wasn't much flavor in the garlic noodles but the beef was good. The pho tasted fresh but had a strong cinnamon punch at the end which I didn't prefer. Overall still good

Came here during soft open. Got the following items. 1. P9-Pho with brisket, filet mignon, and tripe: Nice flavorful broth. Comes with a lot of noodles and enough meat. 2. C3-Grilled pork chop with rice: Pork wasn't tough and had good flavor. Liked the pickled vegetables. 3. A2-Shrimp spring roll: Rolls were a good size and the peanut dipping sauce wasn't too thick and had enough sweetness. 4. A10-Fried wonton: very crispy with a lot of meat. Flavor of the meat and the sauce was not to my taste 5. N4-Seafood noodle soup: light broth. I think I've had better version of this soup elsewhere 6. C7-Rice with shaken beef filet mignon: Tender meat with good seasoning. Took about 10-15 minutes for take out. Everything way packaged well. Would come back for the Pho, spring roll, grilled pork chop and the rice with filet mignon. Overall 4.25.

Another new solid pho restaurant in the South Bay! +located in the small plaza across from Target in Redondo beach blvd--it took over Miyabi uni. Small parking lot is available +service was good--Al the staff were nice. Not sure if it's because it's opening day but they have chilled bottled water if you ask for water. You might have to wait a bit to get your food but we went in soft opening day so it's understandable that wait time is long since they're trying to figure out logistics. +food was solid! Both my mom and my boyfriend's pho was good. The broth had hint of sweetness but the soup was really broth-y and had depth to it. My mom wanted to highlight that her shrimp pho had deveined shrimps, which she really appreciated. I also liked my BBH--the broth for BBH was also hearty and I would say it's one of my favorite BBH broth in South Bay. -the only critique I had was my BBH noodles. The noodle wasn't absorbing the broth--the noodles needs to be dried out a bit after it's boiled so the noodles can absorb the broth when it's served. Hopefully they can adjust it next time!

Just had dinner at this place! Was welcomed and sat right the way! Food was amazing, pho was good, the meat was tender! Service was amazing, my boy Skyler when above and beyond to make sure we were taken care off! Will be back for sure! This place rocks!

Soft openings are usually a gamble, but Pho Southbay hit the ground running at a full sprint. The Food: The broth is incredible remarkably clean, deeply complex and packed with rich flavor. The meats are premium and melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the herbs are perfectly fresh. The Vegetarian Options (Insider Tip!): They actually offer 100% vegetarian pho and other vegetarian plates. They aren't printed on the menu yet, so just ask your server, they'll take care of you. The Service: Flawless and super attentive. The team is welcoming and sharp, hitting their stride right out of the gate. The Vibe: Spotless. The space is immaculately clean, bright, and really comfortable. The Perks: Parking is a breeze, which is a massive plus for the area. Pho Southbay is exceptional by any standard. Bonus: they're currently offering 10% off for their soft opening. Get here before the lines wrap around the block.

Stumbled upon this place when in search of soup on a rainy day. This place is a GEM! Service was fast and servers were very attentive throughout our entire stay. Food was delicious! Everything we tried was very tasty, definitely will be one of our go to spots in the South Bay. Can't wait to return and try more items from their menu :)

Food is delicious Service is great, friendly and fast the only 2 little things I don't like is the sauces for the fried shirmp isn't good and there were 2 flys fleeing around our dish over all i like the food and the experience i will come back again !!

    Special Noodle Combo (Soup)

Just went here again and we were again...happy with the food and service. I had their Special Noodle Combo as a soup with egg and rice noodles. The combo came with shrimp, ground pork, bbq pork, fish cake, fried wonton dumplings, with chili peppers, lettuce, and steamed bean sprouts. It was DELICIOUS! Can't wait to go back and try something else on their menu.

Amazing Pho restaurant!!!! Food was delicious and all the staff were really kind. The place is simple and clean, just the type of place you would want to eat a big bowl of pho !! Definitely coming back to this Southbay GEM !

Broth was very good even without the usual add ins, but they are available
    Randy M.

Went for a wonton/bbq pork noodle bowl and it was very very good. It even had bits of crispy pork in it. It came with a generous amount of egg noodles and I was full. We'll let me add, I also had one egg roll (idk I always get it wrong in what season it is, but it's the fried one lol) served with crisp romaine lettuce. One could say $12 for four egg rolls, but cmon these days I think it's the norm. It would have been enough for two hungry adults sharing so... I enjoyed it and staff was attentive. It's also really clean and nice in there and can I add the stylish restroom? lol go try it, you won't be disappointed

I just remember working nearby when I was younger and Saigon Dish becoming part of the routine. I came constantly. Sometimes practically every day. This was before the larger setup they have now, when the whole operation felt smaller and you got to know the person behind it pretty quickly. That person is John. And before we get into pho, John deserves his paragraph. He is one of those increasingly rare restaurant owners who makes you genuinely happy to hand him your money. In the early days, before I became the longtime regular who mostly gives him shit, I remember him talking me through ingredients. Why he chose something. What I should order. What was good that day. There was an intentionality behind the food that told you somebody was paying attention. And that's the thing I respect most about this place, he never let it go. The restaurant grew. Life moved on. I stopped working nearby. I got older. I brought coworkers. Then friends. My parents. My sisters. Eventually my wife and kids. And the pho is still good. I should establish that I'm obnoxious about pho. I've eaten a lot of it, from tiny places where nobody particularly cares whether you know they exist to polished restaurants charging you for the privilege of sitting underneath an Edison bulb. There are spectacular bowls all over California. So I'm not going to tell you Saigon Dish serves the single greatest pho ever created by mankind. It doesn't need that kind of BS. What it does incredibly well is balance. The broth is clean. That's the word I always come back to. Clean. Deep enough that you know something happened before it reached your bowl, but it doesn't club you over the head with star anise and herbs. And it isn't the sad, watery approximation of pho you sometimes encounter when you wander too far west and somebody has decided broth should taste like hot water that once met a cow. This tastes like pho. The filet mignon is consistently tender and smooth. The tripe is properly cleaned. The tendon is cooked beautifully, soft and gelatinous without disintegrating, which is where tendon should live. The meatballs are surprisingly good. The well done beef can occasionally lean a little dry for my taste, but that's what the bowl of broth and a little sriracha are for. I've also eaten my way through so much of the menu that reconstructing it would require archaeological work. Egg rolls? Get them. Rice dishes? Yep. Noodles? Yep. Vietnamese coffee? Obviously. Coconut drinks? Go for it. I've brought an absurd number of people here over the years and the remarkable thing is how universally the place works. Pho nerds can find something to obsess over, but you can also bring somebody who barely knows Vietnamese food and they'll be completely comfortable. And then there's the operation itself. This isn't some immaculate Beverly Hills dining room designed by a hospitality group. Thank God. It looks like a South Bay Vietnamese restaurant. Every available corner seems to have acquired a purpose. People are moving everywhere. Tables are turning. Someone needs extra onions. Someone wants another bowl. Someone's asking for sriracha. Somebody's kid needs chopsticks. Water appears before you realize you need it. And somehow it flows. That's harder than it looks. Service here has always felt unusually effortless to me. Not performative. Nobody is giving you a TED Talk about the provenance of the bean sprouts. They just take care of you. Parking occasionally becomes its own little hunger game. Don't panic. Circle around, wait a few minutes, somebody will finish their pho and leave. I've written a lot of reviews and I don't throw five stars around because then five stars stop meaning anything. But how exactly do you rate a restaurant you've voluntarily returned to for close to thirty years? At some point consistency becomes the review. I've watched Saigon Dish grow from the little place I remember into what it is today. I've sent coworkers here. Friends. My parents. My sisters. My own family. I've probably eaten enough of John's pho at this point that some measurable percentage of my body belongs to the restaurant. And I'm still coming back.

You order inside and pick up your food at the window outside, and the whale mural surrounding the pickup window is such a fun, memorable touch. There are a couple of benches outside if you want to eat there, although I noticed most people seemed to grab their food to go. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the Cash Burger, and it was packed with flavor. The burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Even a simple burger here tastes like it was made with care. The truffle Parmesan fries were another standout--crispy, flavorful, and completely addictive. We also tried two dipping sauces: the habanero cream and the chipotle. Both were delicious and added a unique twist to the burger and fries, but the habanero cream was definitely my favorite. It's not often you find sauces that elevate an already great meal this much. My only suggestion would be to improve the outdoor seating area. The benches could use a little more attention, and having a better trash setup would make eating outside much more enjoyable. One thing that really sold me was my one-year-old. She absolutely devoured the burger! I usually have to work to get her to eat anything besides quesadillas, and even In-N-Out can be hit or miss with her, so that says a lot. Overall, I'm so glad we stopped here. Between the amazing food, fun atmosphere, and beach-town vibe, I'd happily go out of my way to come back. If you're anywhere nearby, don't miss this spot!

Everything was ordered EXTRA SPICY -- Level 5 through the online menu. When we got home, we took our first bites and immediately thought, "Wait... did they give us someone else's food?" No spice. Zero. Barely any flavor at all. This wasn't Level 5. This wasn't Level 1. This was apparently Level 0: Thai food for people who are afraid of black pepper. So we called the restaurant. The woman who answered told us, incredibly confidently, that they don't make their food spicy. Excuse me... what? This is a Thai restaurant. We have ordered spicy food from Swan Thai before. And, more importantly, your own online ordering system literally has spice levels, including Level 5. So either the online menu is completely meaningless, or someone in the restaurant has decided that customers no longer deserve to know what they're ordering. We asked to speak with a manager. Apparently, there was no manager. We asked for the owner. We were told the owners "come and go as they want." So who exactly is running this place? Is it just a group project where everyone shows up, does whatever they want, and hopes nobody asks questions? The food was so bland and disappointing that we barely ate it. And honestly, after the ridiculous phone conversation, we didn't even have much interest in finishing it. What makes this worse is that I used to like Swan Thai. That's why this was so disappointing. Restaurants can have an off day, but when the food is wrong, the online menu contradicts what an employee tells you, and there apparently isn't even a manager available to address the issue, that's more than an off day. Swan Thai, you used to be much better. Somewhere along the way, the food lost its flavor and the customer service apparently lost its direction. I won't be making the mistake of ordering here again.
