My family has been coming here for years and we've loved it every single time. We just visited recently and I wanted to share our experience. Our server was incredibly helpful with our questions and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing, as always. Items we ordered: Ordered: Summer Rolls Spring Rolls Fried Tofu Charbroiled Pork, Shrimp, and Vermicelli Eden Special w/ oxtail Beef Rib Pho Drinks: Avocado Smoothie Fresh Coconut Everything we had was so flavorful and their vegetables were so fresh. Plenty of parking as well! Lots of tables to bring a large party with you! They're currently raffling off some Chris Brown/Usher tickets so make sure to check out their IG page as well. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back!

Saigon Eden offers a large selection of Vietnamese dishes, making it a great spot whether you're craving pho, rice plates, vermicelli, or specialty items. We started with the rice cakes and pork spring rolls. The rice cakes were soft and delicate, while the spring rolls were packed with fresh vegetables and had a nice balance of textures. The Vietnamese crepe was one of my favorite dishes. The crepe itself was crispy and filled with bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork, creating a flavorful bite with plenty of crunch and freshness. The broken rice plate was another standout. The sweet and savory fish sauce soaked into the rice perfectly, and the assortment of meats was well-seasoned and flavorful. The vermicelli bowl was fresh and satisfying, featuring aromatic lemongrass pork that was beautifully charred. The pho was the highlight of the meal. The broth was rich, fragrant, and full of beef flavor. The noodles maintained a great texture, and the meats were tender. The fall-off-the-bone beef rib was especially impressive and made the bowl feel extra hearty. To finish the meal, they even provided complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and there was plenty of variety on the menu. If you're looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Alhambra area with lots of options and solid execution across the board, Saigon Eden is worth checking out.

Haven't been here in a while and was really pleasantly surprised on how tasty all the dishes are. I ordered the grilled pork and egg roll bun and it was large enough for my dinner and lunch the next day. We also got the pork chop and egg roll broken rice. The pork chop was perfectly grilled and carmelized. The service was a bit off putting at first since we were not welcomed greeted and had to ask to be seated when there were a lot of employees just standing around. They were actually nice just not highly focused on customer service

I personally thought they were ok. Not a restaurant I'd keep in my regular rotation. I think they've been on the social media promotion band wagon. When we visited this weekend, there was a table with 3 ladies speaking quite loudly and proudly that they were influencers. They had ordered a huge spread across two tables for 3. Needless to say, there were a lot of take out boxes. I don't care for the social media hype. I care about the food and service. Service today was fine. There were several staff members around and it was easy to flag them down whenever we needed something. They also did come around the table occasionally to check on us. Food is where it fell flat. Overall, the food ate heavy and greasy. This is rare since Vietnamese food is often known for it's freshness and healthiness with all the veggies etc. We ordered a pork chop over broken rice with shrimp paste in soy paper. The rice was perfect broken rice, the pork was perfectly seasoned and fried nicely, has some nice lean bites and fatty bites. The problem was with the shrimp paste. It tasted stale and old and hard. It was off putting and really needed the nouc cham to help masks it. Second dish was what I usually order at all Vietnamese restaurants. Grilled pork with vermicelli. The one we got included 2 fried spring rolls (or ja yo). The spring rolls were good, I enjoyed them! The pork was a bit dry. Vermicelli was fine. Veggie mix only had romaine, cucumber, and bean sprouts. No basil or mints. The nouc cham was too bland to fix this dish. We needed more acid. There were too many raw garlic in the sauce that it gave us heartburn. The best thing we had was my ice tea. Simple jasmine tea was nice and thick, not watered down. Very refreshing and comes with refills. They have been here for a long time, and I want them to do well but I can understand why business has been slow of there are way better options out there right now.

    Pho with well cooked beef

This is a solid Vietnamese food restaurant. The service was quick and the food came out fast. I got an order of the pho with well cooked beef (#25) and an order of the spring rolls which came with a peanut dipping sauce. The sauce really elevated the spring rolls, which was fresh and delicious!

I've been here for Vietnamese pho before and thought it was just okay, but after coming back with friends, it was a disappointment. The beef stew served with a French roll was the worst dish we tried. The meat was tough, and the broth was thin like a soup. We expected it to be thicker--more like a sauce for dipping the bread. We also ordered the oxtail pho, and it came with a lot of excess fat that hadn't been trimmed. My friend had to spend quite a bit of time removing it before eating. My pho with rare beef, brisket, and tendon was fine, which is probably why I didn't think much of the place before. But after trying more of their specialty dishes, it's clear they struggle beyond basic pho options. One positive is that they are generous with the meat portions. Overall, not a place I'd return to, and my friends felt the same.

    Charbroiled beef with rice
    Lennie H.

I ordered a thit nuong (charbroiled beef) with rice, my beef did not taste like charbroiled beef. To be fair, I knew it was going to be off when I saw it come out, but I was too nervous to double check to see if it was actually the correct order. The color did not look like how the beef is usually cooked, nor did it have the same taste, and the cut was a bit thick. It felt like they gave me pho meat and grilled it. My friend had the pork chop and we shared an order of egg rolls, and that tasted okay! Everything was on the more affordable side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants these days. But I think you get what you pay for.

    #19 ribeye beef pho

I liked it. With this rainy weather I was craving some pho and this place hit the spot. Came in on a packed Friday night. Inside is simple with a good amount of seating. It's a good place for small groups. I got the #19 ribeye beef. It was good! My friend got the udon noodles and they liked it. E also shared some yummy house rolls. They also have rice dishes. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Efficient staff. There's parking lots within a block or two.

I've been here several times and the Pho Tai has been consistently great. Saigon Eden, both the Alhambra and SG locations, is certainly my go-to for affordable and fulfilling Pho.

There's lots of plaza and structure parking nearby. There's a front and back entrance. It's a great place for large groups with lots of seating. The staff are really friendly and quick. You'll definitely get a good portion of food for the price. I barely was able to make a dent on my plate. The rice was good. The imperial roll was really crispy and hot inside. I really enjoyed it. The garlic green beans were super tasty.

From eating here and reading the other reviews written, I'm wondering if we are at the same Saigon Eden lol. The spring rolls crispy and absolutely delicious w the dipping sauce. Would def come back to order just that. The pho though... the noodles were all stuck together and didn't taste like fresh noods. The meats for the beef rib and the oxtail were not tender and didn't fall off the bones. Again, didn't taste fresh. We left a lot of food on the table bc it really was not good at all. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't. 1 star for the phos. Service was quick and fast granted we came on a weekday around 4pm. There were only like 3 other tables. Parking structure is literally behind the restaurant like a quick little walk away. Otherwise you can street park also.

    Pho and Che Ba Mau
    Halle P.

Have come here quite a few times over the years and it's a solid pho place. Usually quick with no wait and a wide selection of Vietnamese food. Good for small or large groups Food 9/10 Their pho is delicious. Nothing above average, but it's consistent and flavorful with tender meat and fresh garnish. We asked for some extra limes and they gave us a whole bowl full of them which was perfect for me and my group as everyone loves limes to flavor their pho broth. Their che ba mau dessert was pretty good, but wasn't cold enough or didn't have enough ice causing it to become warm fast. Their warm sago dessert though was so comforting, not too sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Service 10/10 Attentive, quick, and cheerful staff! Atmosphere/aesthetic Clean and modern interior aesthetic. In a great location with a parking garage nearby and lots of other restaurants, cafes, boba shops, dessert places, and stores close by. A safe area to walk around after a meal. Will continue to come back here!

Are the egg rolls the same as Pho 79's?

Yes they are exactly the same; the quantity, the way it's cut, the sauce, the herbs, and how they are packed. No changes at all. As mentioned on my review, Saigon Eden is essentially Pho 79 with all the same employees. They have not closed but only…

They had a Chinese menu and a Vietnamese menu. Honestly, it was a tough choice. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls , and the bun Bo nuong cha gio. The dishes were prepared with quality and patience. Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town.

The meat tasted old, the rice was poorly seasoned, their complimentary soup you get when you first sit tasted like poultry. I know there's chicken feet in there but it didn't taste like 'chicken' it tasted like when you walk in to a poultry soup. It tastes like how the poultry shop smells. If you haven't been to a poultry shop, it tastes like if you're around a lot of live chickens. My brother got the brisket. It was the worst he's ever had too. He said it was chewy and lack flavor. They might be cutting costs because the economy is bad. I notice a large portion of their menu was covered up or dishes crossed out. Even the beverages got cut! You can only get like 3 different beverages which are ovaltine, coffee, and something else. They even cut out lemon ice tea. They're a mom and pop shop and it would be sad if they're out of business because of that reason, but the food was unfortunately not good. Service was really good though, but we were the only ones there majority of the time we were dining. The price for the hainan chicken was about $17, brisket was about the same. I don't remember the exact amount. Just listing that here because Yelp's prices are way off. Could be old pricing from a while ago.
