Saigon Eden offers a large selection of Vietnamese dishes, making it a great spot whether you're craving pho, rice plates, vermicelli, or specialty items. We started with the rice cakes and pork spring rolls. The rice cakes were soft and delicate, while the spring rolls were packed with fresh vegetables and had a nice balance of textures. The Vietnamese crepe was one of my favorite dishes. The crepe itself was crispy and filled with bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork, creating a flavorful bite with plenty of crunch and freshness. The broken rice plate was another standout. The sweet and savory fish sauce soaked into the rice perfectly, and the assortment of meats was well-seasoned and flavorful. The vermicelli bowl was fresh and satisfying, featuring aromatic lemongrass pork that was beautifully charred. The pho was the highlight of the meal. The broth was rich, fragrant, and full of beef flavor. The noodles maintained a great texture, and the meats were tender. The fall-off-the-bone beef rib was especially impressive and made the bowl feel extra hearty. To finish the meal, they even provided complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and there was plenty of variety on the menu. If you're looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Alhambra area with lots of options and solid execution across the board, Saigon Eden is worth checking out.

This is a solid Vietnamese food restaurant. The service was quick and the food came out fast. I got an order of the pho with well cooked beef (#25) and an order of the spring rolls which came with a peanut dipping sauce. The sauce really elevated the spring rolls, which was fresh and delicious!

I've been here for Vietnamese pho before and thought it was just okay, but after coming back with friends, it was a disappointment. The beef stew served with a French roll was the worst dish we tried. The meat was tough, and the broth was thin like a soup. We expected it to be thicker--more like a sauce for dipping the bread. We also ordered the oxtail pho, and it came with a lot of excess fat that hadn't been trimmed. My friend had to spend quite a bit of time removing it before eating. My pho with rare beef, brisket, and tendon was fine, which is probably why I didn't think much of the place before. But after trying more of their specialty dishes, it's clear they struggle beyond basic pho options. One positive is that they are generous with the meat portions. Overall, not a place I'd return to, and my friends felt the same.

I've been here several times and the Pho Tai has been consistently great. Saigon Eden, both the Alhambra and SG locations, is certainly my go-to for affordable and fulfilling Pho.

I liked it. With this rainy weather I was craving some pho and this place hit the spot. Came in on a packed Friday night. Inside is simple with a good amount of seating. It's a good place for small groups. I got the #19 ribeye beef. It was good! My friend got the udon noodles and they liked it. E also shared some yummy house rolls. They also have rice dishes. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Efficient staff. There's parking lots within a block or two.

There's lots of plaza and structure parking nearby. There's a front and back entrance. It's a great place for large groups with lots of seating. The staff are really friendly and quick. You'll definitely get a good portion of food for the price. I barely was able to make a dent on my plate. The rice was good. The imperial roll was really crispy and hot inside. I really enjoyed it. The garlic green beans were super tasty.

From eating here and reading the other reviews written, I'm wondering if we are at the same Saigon Eden lol. The spring rolls crispy and absolutely delicious w the dipping sauce. Would def come back to order just that. The pho though... the noodles were all stuck together and didn't taste like fresh noods. The meats for the beef rib and the oxtail were not tender and didn't fall off the bones. Again, didn't taste fresh. We left a lot of food on the table bc it really was not good at all. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't. 1 star for the phos. Service was quick and fast granted we came on a weekday around 4pm. There were only like 3 other tables. Parking structure is literally behind the restaurant like a quick little walk away. Otherwise you can street park also.

Delicious rich authentic broth. The bun rieu is rich and has depth of flavor and they let you choose the kind of noodles you like inside. I got glass noodles instead of rice noodles. The prices are super affordable in this economy. Definitely a no frills place but you'll get good home cookin

Have come here quite a few times over the years and it's a solid pho place. Usually quick with no wait and a wide selection of Vietnamese food. Good for small or large groups Food 9/10 Their pho is delicious. Nothing above average, but it's consistent and flavorful with tender meat and fresh garnish. We asked for some extra limes and they gave us a whole bowl full of them which was perfect for me and my group as everyone loves limes to flavor their pho broth. Their che ba mau dessert was pretty good, but wasn't cold enough or didn't have enough ice causing it to become warm fast. Their warm sago dessert though was so comforting, not too sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Service 10/10 Attentive, quick, and cheerful staff! Atmosphere/aesthetic Clean and modern interior aesthetic. In a great location with a parking garage nearby and lots of other restaurants, cafes, boba shops, dessert places, and stores close by. A safe area to walk around after a meal. Will continue to come back here!

The pho was so amazing here. The broth was very rich and savory. The food came out pretty quick. The service was really good. I wanted to try the eggroll. It looked really good too. The portions are very filling. The prices are really good too, and the ambience is pretty quiet a nice four dining with your friends or date.

The food was delicious. the broth was piping hot which allowed the meats to cook very quickly. food came quickly and they checked on us as well. it took a bit to get refills which we both didn't mind however one thing to note. only certain drinks allow refills as well as they charge $1 per person for hot tea as stated on the menu. the restaurant was quite big which was surprising but overall looks nice. 10/10 would visit again

I haven't been here since the days this place use to be called PHO 79. I remember falling in love with the charbroiled pork PHO and I'm so happy they still have it! CHARBROILED PORK PHO: 5/5 The broth is out of this world! Smokiness from the charbroiled pork enhances the broth to the NEXT LEVEL! SERVICE: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Everyone was so welcoming with lovely SMILES on their faces and the waitress was so patient with our order. You don't feel rushed here instead they make you feel comfortable like HOME. PARKING: I had to park on level 5 because we came during RUSH HOUR on a Saturday night evening. ROCK ON SAIGON EDEN!!!!!!!

Kobe Pho; add on meatballs. Very Good.

On a Saturday evening, my husband and I decided to grab dinner here. Because we parked in the shared parking lot, we entered the restaurant through the back. We were immediately greeted upon entering. After being seated and looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Fish Tofu Congee, $10.50 prior to tax- This meal truly nourished my soul because I was really sick a few days before and hardly ate anything. The congee was nice and hot and thick, just the way I like it. Portion wise, this is perfect for 2- 3 people to share. But again because I had not eaten much for the last few days, I ended up eating most of it (lol, had not realized how hungry I was until I was eating this). My husband did enjoy this congee too. Beef Stew Noodle Soup, $14.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish and thought the soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice chew. I also liked this dish and thought it was delicious. My husband finished most of this dish. ------------------------------ (Total= $28.10 after tax, prior to tip) Service was friendly. And because the restaurant is on the small side, it was very easy to get a server's attention if you needed something. Although I did speak mostly Cantonese when I was here (I am actually trying to make myself speak Cantonese more), you can order in English. So you shouldn't have any trouble when you dine here. Overall, coming to The Congee was the right choice for dinner and so glad we did. I do see myself coming back here for another meal in the near future. Please note that there is a unisex restaurant towards the back of the restaurant, right next to the back entrance/ exit. The restroom itself had all the basic essentials (running water, toilet paper, paper towels and soap) but wasn't the cleanest. It was decent at best.

They lacked both the expected spiciness and the salty flavor. I believe I had anticipated a taste similar to crispy spicy salted pork chops. The dish featured four generously sized shrimp wontons, all amply filled with shrimp. I did sample the noodles, but unfortunately, I was too satiated to fully appreciate them. I am looking forward to returning for the Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Soup.

The jiajiang noodles was just a good combo of cool from the cucumbers and the noodles and minced meat were good. The beef noodle soup was fine but I think the soup could've packed a bigger punch. It felt almost watered down but I say the piece of beef were great. Overall, the meal came out to around $65 and it is pretty standard now but $13 for 8 wontons or 8 potstickers just feels a bit nuts still. It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.
