Best Pho in the south Seattle area. Great portions and prices. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

Not my go to for pho because in the past the quality of food was lacking. But I was starving and brought my baby with me. When I walked in the server told us to sit by the door and I asked for a high chair. She pointed with her chin saying it's over there. I asked if she could bring me one and she said no. I asked her why and said she was busy. I responded to her saying, you're too busy to bring me a high chair? Fuck you. I walked out and left to go to the pho tai in Burien where they brought me a highchair and the food was so much better especially the egg rolls. read more

I don't recommend ordering the Chicken Teriyaki because it didn't taste right, chicken didn't really have that good color(it look like a grey brownish color together), it tasted dry, not really any flavor to the chicken, didn't really have sauce on it, and if you're taking it to-go and open it really doesn't look right at all like you'll see chicken doesn't actually have no sauce on it which usually the chicken would have the teriyaki sauce on it already and it only had it on the rice which surprisingly the rice didn't taste weird. Was driving down the street looking for some Pho and happened to just stop by here. The place was pretty clean and had a wide variety of options for all of us (meat eaters/vegetarian)! We were greeted with a warm welcome by one of the hostess' who made sure to check up on us occasionally. Food came out at a decent time and tasted really good!! My fiancé and I were looking for some noodle salads and we ended up at Pho Tai. After we ordered our food, I decided to read their yelp review. To be frank, it was not good. I was reading that customers found BUGS, DIRTY UTENSILS and GREASY FOOD. After reading, I had second thoughts about coming here. I was thinking perhaps, I should leave, since I didn't pay yet or should I just give it a chance and take the risk? I decided to stay and give it a shot. My fiancé and I got home and opened up our to go boxes. The food was delectable. NO BUGS, NO GREASY FOOD AND NO DIRTY UTENSILS. Nevertheless, I decided to use my own utensils. I have been to this place a good amount and every time I leave happy. I like coming here because you usually have good service, sometimes I have had it where they take awhile when ordering iced coffee but nothing to worry about. The place is always clean and everything that comes out of the kitchen looks very good. I usually only order pho and spring rolls, I dine in and to go and it is always good. This time I wanted chicken katsu and it was a Sunday which means usually every teriyaki shop is closed... I went in on a hunch and was greeted right away and I grabbed a menu to look it over. To my surprise they made chicken katsu and I ordered it to go with excitement, The lady took my order and gave me a huge glass full of jasmine tea. I assumed I was going to wait awhile since she gave me a huge glass, it was very thoughtful but I couldn't cool it down in time because my food surprisingly came to me fast. I told her sorry the tea was to hot, I tried to drink it to be nice but I decided burning my taste buds would not be a smart decision. When I got home and opened my meal it had a very nice presentation and looked so good, the panko breading was a nice color and still was perfectly crispy, it reminded me of when my wife makes it (she still makes a better katsu). All the sauces tasted really good, they also had a respectful amount that gave you the decision to use it on everything if you wanted and that's a plus. They don't give you a huge amount of rice but instead a perfect amount, I have seen a lot of rice from other establishments serving teriyaki before and to be honest, you shouldn't be eating that much rice anyways... Every meal I have had here has tasted very good and I always am very happy to come back because I know I'm going to eat some good food and the staff is always friendly especially when I bring my kids in, a couple times our server complimented my wife and I on how well behaved they were. The atmosphere seems a little cramped when you walk in but it is a decent size place if you're dining in, you have plenty of tables to choose from, I recommend a table by the windows or a table by the wall. That way you have a better view of the street by the windows to let your mind wonder while you eat or a table by the wall that gives you a more private feeling. Once you sit down you will notice it is actually a relaxing spot and if someone is sitting by you if its busy, I have never had a problem and have found that most people keep to them selves or are very nice. read more

Pho Tai is one of my favorite spots to grab take-out. $7.95 for a huge box of noodles, bbq pork, veggies, and an egg roll is an unbeatable deal. One complaint: often when I come in here, even at off-peak times, all of the tables have had people's dirty dishes on them. Clearing tables should be a high-priority for the staff and unfortunately it isn't and just makes the place seem dirty and unkempt. read more

Solid and reliable pho. Great Vietnamese food. Generous portions and friendly service. There's like 4-5 other pho spots in the area of similar pho quality. Go here if you're relatively new to pho or prefer a spot that's bright and clean. Another edge I think they have is that a lot of their non-pho offerings are great. The rice dishes and vermicelli bowls are excellent. I wouldn't necessarily drive across town for the pho here. But I definitely would for the pork chop. I was so surprised to look this place up on yelp and see it has such a low rating! I was desperately in need of a quick lunch one day, and driving along 16th in White Center I decided to stop in and eat here. It was mostly full of Vietnamese folks, which I always take as a good sign. I ordered a small chicken pho, as usual, and it came out very quickly, as usual. But this pho! Hands down, best broth I've ever had. Ever! And I've tried all the other supposed best pho places in Seattle. This broth was rich, complex...yum! The chicken was like real pieces of chicken too, not those creepy composite looking things that some places try to pass off as chicken. Like most pho places, you pay at the counter, not the table. The only place open on Christmas... we HAD to. we just HAD to. I tried this place because it's conveniently located and I needed some pho therapy for my cold. Sadly, it was not a therapeutic experience. They have only small and large sizes of pho and the large size ($6) was more like the size of Than Brother's medium. The broth was so-so and the meat didn't smell too fresh, ew.... I give it three stars because the young woman, Andrea, is amazing and deserves ALL THE CREDIT IN THE WORLD!!! I have spent my last dime in the past two weeks before my Unemployment runs out b/c I love PHO! It is a comfort food for me and I need a lot of comfort during this times. I paid a little too much for it, but Andrea was so sweet to me that I did not complain to her about it as she is young. My mother passed away of Coronavirus and I have three high risk condition and I was in there when it was very busy and I was upset b/c people eating in the restaurant were not wearing masks. She said she shared my story with others to encourage them to wear masks, but that they just did not care. I find that unbelievably and tragically said. The PHO NOODLES AND VEGETABLES ARE AMAZING, but the problem with this place is the meat...it is rubbery and there is not enough, like they are trying to save money on the meat. It's a gamble! This is where I got my pho cherry popped...so of course, it will always hold a place near and dear to my heart. I do have to say however, that depending on who knows what factor, your order may get mixed up, there's a chance that you'll be rushed out the door, and/or that your meat is not fresh. I used to go to Pho Tai all the time when I lived near White Center, because it looked the cleanest out of all the pho places in the area. So I was pleased to see that this was still here when I came to visit the West Seattle area. Since it was a gloomy day in Seattle while taking my boyfriend's little cousin around the city, we decided on some pho. I ordered the pho ga and she ordered the pho with steak on the side. We were both very pleased with our bowls. Although, it seemed as if my bowl had more noodles than hers when we got the same size. I had to give this place only 3 stars, because the service has lacked since I haven't been here in nearly 4-5 years. And it doesn't seem all that clean as it used to be. Pho Tai is my go to Pho spot in WC. My bank teller (and self proclaimed taste maker of white center) referred me to this restaurant and I'm so glad o took his recommendation! Their broth is on point with just the right amount of anise, and they don't skimp on the meat. The tendon has the perfect amount of bite to it, not too soft or chewy. The vermicelli bowls are so good! The pork is perfectly marinated and charred, I can't get enough! The location is humble and the owners are very friendly. Went there prior to bowling, party of 10. Accomodating when I requested to put our cake in their fridge while we ate. Food was good, meat was tender, noodles galore in each bowl. Appeared to be fairly clean. I, nor any of the party members visited the bathroom -therefore cannot speak for it. Why the 3 stars if everything sounds fine? Well, its because of the service. We had this waiter who either did not pay attention to what I stated in the orders or just forgetful. I've repeated myself couple of times, no biggie. I received the most welcoming smile the first time I came in. I've been coming here frequently for a few months now (it's the closest Pho from work). The noodles are great but I never get a Hi, Hello or a smile from the main server anymore. She will thank the other customers but she stopped acknowledging me shortly after the initial visit. I order a large chicken pho. I asked the server what broth was in the chicken pho and she said it was mixed chicken and beef. I said why did you do that? I love pho broth. She said that it tastes much better. Apparently, I'd be fine IF I saw on the menu that says chicken pho contains beef and chicken broth. I DO NOT want beef broth on my chicken pho. And the menu didn't labeled it BEFORE I ordered it. I felt this chicken pho was misleading and it should be labeled on the menu. No wonder why I've been going to the Burien one for 18 years. Same name, same logo but not related at all. Never effing again will I waste money at this place. Literally ended up throwing it away.
