I was happy to see this location had great reviews and was nearby I ordered pick up and my food was ready in about 20-30 minutes which was nice It smelled delicious and looked pretty yummy I ordered the Shrimp w/ veggies & chicken broth Which was decent I didn't enjoy the Seafood fried rice as much as I hoped It lacked seasoning and the seafood didn't taste fresh but it was okay The soft noodles with seafood may have been my favorite I'm just not a huge fan of imitation krab or overcooked seafood It was very chewy For all 3 of these items I paid $45 The place was empty when I picked up my food Staff wasn't as friendly as I hoped either I told him I was picking up my order and he said "yes?" Updating my review to 5 stars. Went on a Tuesday night. Pho noodles were a little clumped together due to probably waiting a little longer to pour the hot broth in the bowl but everything else was excellent. The flavor of the broth was aromatic and super hot which I loved. We got the Pho Combo 1. One with rice instead of noodles. Shrimp & pork spring rolls were fresh and tasty. My second time back in a week. I order the Pho Combo 2 - Choice Of2: rare beef, and brisket and I added filet mignon The broth is sooo delicious. I always ask for extra cilantro and onion because I love it and the server Muoi remembered me and asked if I'd like that again before I could even ask. It's great customer service when the staff remember your order even though they must see tons of people every day. The staff here are all so friendly and accommodating. I don't live in this area and drive out of my way because in my opinion it's the best Pho in San Diego, well worth the drive! The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the jasmine green tea is amazingly refreshing! If I could give 10 stars I would! Love this gem! See you next week!! read more

I came here for the first time a few days ago after many years of not visiting. I think it is now under new ownership. Food I tried: Egg rolls: I was not impressed as there was hardly any filling inside the shell. I wouldn't mind paying more if I get to taste more of the filling. It would have been nice also if the rolls were made with rice paper. BBQ pork: Tasty albeit a little on the salty side. Pho: Salty, and beef flavor was a little too strong for me. Spicy Beef soup (Bun Bo Hue): There was potential here as I could taste the lemongrass flavor, but the broth was way too sweet for my taste. I had to pour a lot of the shrimp paste in to offset the sweetness. Fried Tofu appetizer: Crusty the way I liked it, but the size seemed smaller than what was shown in the menu photo. Steam broccoli as side order: No quality control here. The broccoli was not fresh. I threw most of it away. Customer service: The younger men there were more attentive or friendly. There was a middle age man there who normally hovered around the counter who didn't seem to have any idea about customer service. I came up and stood there for 10 seconds and he was busy with his phone device and didn't bother to look up at me. I asked for a specific takeout container. He didn't say a word, looked at my table to see what leftover food I had, and decided to give me a different container. No word exchange but a very cold and indifferent look. A wonderful addition to Poway! I'm Vietnamese and took my dad to try it out and learned that this place has only been open for a few months. It's clean and well lit, great for a casual meal out. You can order on the iPad or with a staff member, whichever is easiest for you. The staff were so kind and attentive, and took the time to explain the menu. We had the pho and the crunch noodles with beef. The beef on the crunchy noodles was incredibly flavorful, and the portion size was perfect. The pho was delicious! I also loved that the condiment station at every table was packed with things you typically don't see being set out - Shrimp paste (we tasted it and it's legit), fish sauce, satay, chili sauce and hoisin sauce. We ordered: -Summer rolls ($6.25) came w 2 -fish sauce wings ($13.25) -pho filet ($15.50) -broken rice grilled pork, steamed meat loaf and shredded pork ($13.99) -Custom Pho ($13.99) The food here was average, could be better. Nothing special with summer rolls. The pho broth tasted diluted and not much beef flavor or aroma. I feel like it contained msg because I'm sensitive and I was having dry mouth and thirsty throughout the night. The pho filet was sliced a bit thick for being filet but it was very soft and chewable. Both pho had lots of meat. Wings were okay. Had better but I enjoyed the sauce. My favorite dish was the broken rice dish. Great price for the portion you get. On the smaller side but perfect for me. The steamed egg loaf was moist. The grilled pork was a bit salty but had a lot of flavor. Wasn't as tender but still good. I like how the prices are kept low. The food at this place is definitely superior to the many mediocre Vietnamese restaurants in the area. While I didn't try everything on the menu, the bun combo I had with shrimp and chicken was excellent. The shrimp had a nice char, the chicken had a delicious lemongrass flavor, and the dish was artistically presented. I asked them to hold the noodles and substitute vegetables. It's my new favorite. I tried their signature pho with the bun bo hue broth and it was really good.. the flavors--the freshness of the lemon grass with the right balance of richness, salt, sweet, and spice--really comes through. I don't always finish my broth, but here, I slurped that up. Not to mention the temperature of the soup was perfect to my liking. It remained hot for the majority of my meal, which I've never experienced at other pho places! I also tried their beef broth, and that was also reallyy good too! I'm super picky with food and I must say it was really fresh and tasty! the environment was clean and friendly... our server was a young lady extremely friendly and sweet had lots of patience and explain the menu to us. We're Vietnamese so we're pretty picky when it comes to Pho, but this place is probably the best pho we've had in San Diego. Clean broth, nice atmosphere and music. Friendly service. Being raised in the restaurant industry myself with my parents owning multiple Japanese Restaurants, I think it's important to be in tune with what the customers would like to watch on the TV. For a busy dad like myself, sometimes the only time we get to relax in front of a television is when we are out at a restaurant. I asked multiple times to watch March Madness college basketball and although you guys accommodated, both times the channel found its way back to a food channel where we were watching Vietnamese food being made. March Madness is a pretty big event in sports and I'd say a majority of your customers would prefer watching the games rather than watching Vietnamese street food being made. It would be one thing if you had a secondary tv showing the Vietnamese street food as ambiance but since you only have one TV, you should utilize it to entertain the customers. I may have stayed longer to have another drink or appetizer to enjoy the game but instead we ate and left. From a customers perspective, I'm not sure if I'd be interested in watching Vietnamese food being made on TV when you guys do not serve those dish being displayed. A little puzzling to me why the kitchen staff decided to change back to that channel twice. Anyway, I hope that the restaurant does well and I look forward to my next visit when we are craving pho. Lastly, no cafe phin? That a huge miss in my opinion. People go for pho partly to see their coffee dripping in the glass in front of them and being able to control how much or how little milk that is in my coffee is important. We've been looking for a pho place in the Poway/Sabre Springs area and this is it! We ordered takeout and had the pork and shrimp spring rolls and the chicken pho. Both were amazing! The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was some of the best we've ever had. The chicken for the pho was all white meat which can sometimes be hard to find at pho places, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Stopped in after my workout and wow... impressive. I've been eating Pho for over 3 decades, and I have to say, this may be now my #1 go to. The egg rolls were so delish and they give you enough lettuce for them. I went with the Pho with rare beef on the side and a side of white onion with vinegar (if you haven't tried them this, you're missing out). The beef slices were top tier quality and the broth was so flavorful without adding any condiments to it! It came with plenty of noodles for those who prefer a greater noodle ratio. If you want good pho, this isn't the place unfortunately. The broth is very, very sweet and more oily than most other pho spots. The noodles are stale (proportioned bowls but it dries out and texture becomes brittle and soggy when hot broth goes on). Had to douse in condiments and lime to balance out flavor. Price of 16 dollar average is also not great compared to alternatives in Convoy. Great, friendly staff (not very attentive but pleasant)! Only redeemable aspect of the dining experience. read more

Hands down the best pho spot in Poway...maybe even all of North County!! A little pricier than other spots (I get it...Poway rent is not cheap) BUT they are not stingy on the meat whatsoever, definitely makes up for it! Customer service is also great.
