We love Pho Thanh Binh and have been going for years. The chicken pho is delicious and we spice it up with added jalapeños they serve along with spicy sauces. My son loves the egg rolls and the fried rice, while we also love the red curry with noodles. We highly recommend getting this food for takeout, especially when you aren't feeling well; the chicken pho is the answer! Pho Thanh Bing is my go Vietnamese food in San Clemente. I order the vegetarian pho with beef broth and the eggs rolls! You can't go wrong with a simple order like that when you want soup on it rainy day or something light on the stomach! The ingredients are so fresh and delicious. The rice noodles, tofu, sliced carrots, broccoli, bok choy, cabbage, onions, with beans spout, jalapeño slices, mint, fresh slices of lime on the side and also hoisin and chili sauce to make it sweet or spicy as you want! The beef broth (homemade bone broth the own shared with me) is so delicious. The egg rolls come in three with lettuce and pickled carrots and delicious cold dipping sauce. We came to this pho place to try to dine in. But we were welcomed with such rudeness. The guy in the front said we could not dine in even thoe it was 45min before closing time. It is pretty much the only legitimate Vietnamese restaurant in the Dana Point/San Clemente area plus their prices are SIGNIFICANTLY lower than any other Pho place in Orange County, seriously! Their broth is probably the best I've ever had and they are unbelievably fast. We get our regular order of 2 small pho and a Bàhn Mí sandwich. It takes them typically 2-3 minutes for them to bring the whole order and it's $38 bucks out the door with 20% tip... I'm tell ya, go check it out! Also the staff is usually very friendly. read more

This spot is known for mediocre food and service, but we always tend to go after surfing at sunset. its nice to have warm broth when everything closes early in town. but now, this is a no go zone. we dined in about a month and a half ago. keep in mind, we always pay cash because a few years prior, they added a bigger tip to our credit card after we left. didn't fuss about it, but took note of it. I figured maybe the sever really needed it, but i'd pay cash from here on out. any ways, this recent time, our bill was $30 and some change, so I gave them a $50. they took along time to come back and no kidding, we were literally joking around like " won't be surprised if they don't bring us our change back " ( its just that kinda place ). we were the only people dining in. - they come over and only brought back 5 dollars. I asked the server, is this all of my change and he said yes. so I went to the front, to ask the gentlemen handling the books if I could have my entire change back and receipt ( they didn't give me a receipt either which was weird ) . I said I gave him a $50. he said " you only gave us $20 " I responded the bill was $30? why would I give you $20 and you give me $5 back? he opened his drawer and says " see there's no $50 bill " as he's quickly grabbing it and putting it under the $20s . I said wait, what? I literally just saw you grab it and put it under the $20s ??? " he said, oh, Im sorry. okay here's your receipt and here's the rest of your change.
