This place is so great. I love to order the spicy pho and a bbq pork bun mi and eat it like a French dip (dip the sandwich into the broth).

Have you ever gotten that Pho-ny feeling and get that craving for something hot, spicy, sour and oh so tasty? Well, Pho Vietnam popped up on my radar when I got that feeling and I knew I had to stop by. Honestly, I have to admit, when I pulled up out front, I was a little taken-aback, it's quite an interesting spot, definitely taking over an old fast food joint or something to that affect. The building needs a face lift for sure, but does possess, oddly enough, a large patio out front. We started with a passion fruit smoothie (the sweetness will WAKE you up!) and fresh pork spring rolls (although the shrimp spring rolls looked fantastic!), it was a home run there! At $5 for two rolls, it's a great appetizer. Onto the main course: Pho with the top three (out of six) meats for me and vermicelli BBQ pork for the man. The pho was good but not great, it comes with the typical toppings and satisfied my craving, but just that. The vermicelli pork bowl was delicious, although I needed to add a little spice. Overall, kind staff, odd atmosphere, good food and good prices, it's a sold 3.5 stars that I'm giving a 3 until a future visit. I'd go back to try more items on their menu for sure! read more

5 stars for my favorite Banh Mi in town. We always buy 4 or 5 BBQ pork Banh Mi from here to have for a couple meals because it tastes delicious - there's a grilled char to it which I love with generous meat portion on the sandwich. I've had bun bo hue and pho here and both are decent (I'm Vietnamese so I'm more picky). Would highly recommend this place if you're new to Vietnamese food. Everyone's friendly and the food comes out quick. read more

Located in the old Hot Point Cafe space, Pho Vietnam is bringing some authentic Vietnamese flavors and eats to this area right on the Raleigh-Cary line. While it has a small menu, the place just opened up so it's still in its shake-down phase. The space has been lightened up but is the real deal VN cafe with Asian soup spoons and chopsticks at each table. We order up summer rolls, a pho and then I toss in a pork banh mi on the side. And it's all solid with the proper flavors but a little bit less authentic then I like it. The broth for the pho was not very flavorful and the summer rolls a bit heavy on the green stuff. With prices slightly higher than what I'd find at Pho Far East, it puts Pho Vietnam a bit lower on the scale for me. But still, this place is authentic and will hopefully get better over time with its newbie owners. So here's to crossing my fingers, Pho Vietnam is on the right track but still has a ways to go for four-star territory! read more

THIS PLACE HAS NO COVID-19 SAFETY STANDARDS. This makes me so sad to write this review because this is actually the most decent Vietnamese food place in the triangle. Coming from California, this food is not comparable but one of the better ones in the state/triangle. We came in at 12 pm on Sunday and only half the restaurant was full and they seem to try to seat us at least one table apart from the next customers. But as more people came in, they just packed everyone in there literally back to back. We felt soooo uncomfortable but we already all ordered noodle soups and they were already served or else we would've packed up and booked it out of there. NONE OF THE STAFF were wearing masks (except one server)- they were just wearing face shields instead. Then as we were leaving, we saw a household of 5 people entered and 2 of them were not wearing a mask and the restaurant owner/servers didn't say anything and just seated them. It's truly LAWLESS HERE. Giving it a 2 bc it is decent food. But will not be back- that meal was anxiety inducing. read more

BEST method of sending to-go orders, they use these to-go dishes that separate the broth from the noodles and meat, keeps everything fresh on its way to you and saves you the trouble of finding a bowl in the house that your pho will fit into--the servings are plentiful! Authentic ethic Vietnamese food. Great for a good day. Instead of ordering soup, you can have your fill with a big bowl of pho (pronounced fuh). I am a big fan of the pho tendon and you know it's a good Vietnamese restaurant if they offer tendon. Order the spring rolls and the banh mi. Service was quick. read more

I never visited the actual store due to COVID, but I always order delivery on cold rainy days. Food is always packed to keep the soup hot and vegetable ingredients fresh. They give good portions and their pho is yummy! read more

I came with a group of friends at peak lunch hours on Sunday and the service was both sloppy and slow. In a rush to get the lunch crowd seated, the waiters were spilling things, leaving customers waiting, and taking a long time to settle the check. I even noticed one party who got seated but got so frustrated trying to flag down a waiter that they just got up and left. As for food, my friends commented that their pho was just average (and small!) while I thought my "bun bo hue" tasted nothing like it should have. Bun bo hue is spicy Vietnamese beef noodle soup that should have a predominant spicy lemongrass flavor, but this restaurant simply added some chili flakes to the regular pho base and branded it a bun bo hue. Now, I'm no Vietnamese food critic, but I knew that this tasted totally wrong. Next time I'm craving pho, I'm heading back to Pho Far East. read more

Tried to go to grand Asia for groceries and saw this place so we went to go eat here first lol We had ordered the egg rolls, Banh mi and two pho tai's. I love this place. Anytime I am starting to feel a cold coming on, I come straight here and order a rare beef pho and add a little bit of chili oil. Pho has healing properties and the chili oil really clears out my sinuses. Very much recommend stopping by and getting a bowl for yourself, sick or not! read more

I'm sorry but as someone who is vietnamese and raised in a vietnamese family these banh mi's were horrible. We had ordered the egg, ham, with liver paste and the grilled beef lemon grass and both was just not up to the standards when I have had the same banh mi's anywhere else. The ham was cut so thin and had hardly any on the sandwich itself, the beef looks like it was some sort of ground beef and looked like it was cooked too long because the lemongrass was burnt and crispy. For almost 5 dollars for each sandwich is really pushing it for this quality and the vegetables pretty much covered up the meat so you wouldn't see. I have lived in New Orleans for 21 years and Orlando for 4 years and they had much better vietnamese food and banh mi's in general. read more

I have been back here four times since ownership has changed. I just wanted to give them a chance to settle down. I am impressed how the food and the service have improved significantly ( new cook) and more servers since then. Ryan (manager) and Elaine (owner) are friendly and eager to please. There is plenty of space outside to socially distance and each table has an umbrella to provide shade when needed. I would say that this is the best Pho in Cary, NC. The small is too small for me so I usually get a large. The pho has improved tremendously over the years. Recently my new obsession has been pho. Disclaimer: My expectation might have been higher because of Chinese New Year and all the really good food surrounding me. After the crammed shopping at Grand Asia Market (because of Chinese New Year), our stomachs were craving some type of asian cuisine. Pho Vietnam was conveniently right across the street. For 10 dollars, I was expecting more meat than I got. Most other pho places I have been have also given more of the bean sprouts and lime than just a small plate split between two people. Ultimately, it was average pho. I wish I had gotten more meat. The broth was delightful with a slight salty but beef filled aroma. Even my mom said she could taste the beef just in the broth. It is good for a quick stop. It is quite small but the owners do make use of the space. The service was nice. Our waitress seemed a bit timid, but overall helpful. It is worth a visit. read more

They still have the best authentic pho in Raleigh. I was just disappointed the last time though when I ordered pho, they gave me cooked beef (traditionally it's thinly cut raw beef that gets cooked in the hot soup). But it was good anyway. Tip: order extra meats (meatballs, etc) and ask for more Thai basil for a more hearty and fragrant soup. read more

Stopped by Pho Vietnam because of the great reviews when I was in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, the place was very fresh! It was neat and cozy and I actually like the fact that you can see straight into the kitchen (talk about transparency). I ordered my food to go because i was in a hurry. I ordered my usual at Vietnamese restaurants, vermicelli with bbq pork and was SO happy that they had soursop smoothies available. I'm a Caribbean girl and I grew up on Soursop and unfortunately not all Vietnamese places has it as an option. The smoothie was good, a bit more sweet than I would have liked but I love the taste of soursop!! My vermicelli bowl was good! Can't say it was better than any other restaurant that I've been to but it definitely was good! From reading more reviews I plan on coming back to try the Pho, and actually sit in and enjoy the freshness of the place. read more

INTRO: Pho is one of my favorite foods to eat, especially during the winter. It's the perfect hangover cure for Sunday lunches. I had a Vietnamese restaurant right beside my college campus in Boston, so I went there almost every Sunday. I would say that I'm well-versed in pho. You can definitely trust my review. ENTREE 1: Combination Pho (includes all meats) - 9/10 I've tried a bunch of Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Triangle area, and I would say that Pho Vietnam has the best pho at the best price. I've had the pho here at least 10 times, and each time I visit, the pho has never failed me. Their broth is extremely flavorful (I recommend drinking it when it comes out so you can have it warm). Their meat is pretty good quality too, compared to the other places around town. DRINK: Vietnamese Coffee - 7/10 Your standard Vietnamese coffee, nothing too special about it. Doesn't taste bad, but the flavors don't really stand out to me. They don't add too much condensed milk (thank God), so it's not unbearably sweet. I would recommend this if you wanted Vietnamese coffee but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. WORTH IT? Yes. *PLEASE NOTE: I had to take off 1 star because the have a fly problem. Every time I go, there's always a handful of flies flying around. Also, during the summer, they don't seem to turn down the AC, so the restaurant is quite hot. However, speaking strictly food-wise, I do recommend getting the pho here. read more

You know I'm a fan of any place that can offer delicious pho and yummy entrees in a speedy fashion! It's a small restaurant with big flavor! The pho was tasty- loved the broth. The spicy lemongrass chicken was scrumptious. The chicken was not overcooked so it was absolutely juicy. My main criticism would be that the dish was more onions than chicken. Also, it wasn't nearly spicy enough in my opinion. Service is very casual. You might get your water filled by a server or you might get some yourself! Entrees are priced well and portions are decent. Their menu is pretty limited- some pho, a couple of entrees and appetizers and that's pretty much it. I just wish they had a more diverse menu because I'm all about trying new things! read more

As a noodle loving Asian, I can't stress how glad I am that there's a pho restaurant in Cary now! Technically, it's in Raleigh, but close enough. I don't have to drive all the way to Capital anymore! I went for dinner with my significant other a few weeks ago and had fantastic meal. I guess during lunch you order at the counter and for dinner you sit and place an order at your table. We started with the shrimp spring rolls. Not sure why another reviewer complained about the amount of shrimp in them. It's a spring roll. Not a shrimp roll. I must agree that it wasn't rolled that tightly and kinda fell apart when dipping it into the sauce; however, it was still delicious. I ordered a large eye round steak pho while my significant other ordered a large pho with all the meats. He couldn't have been happier with it. I loved the clean, fresh broth. I only wish I could've had more noodles! I did notice that the mung bean sprouts weren't that fresh. Not sure if it was because of the snow? I also ordered a BBQ pork banh mi. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT THEY BAKE THEIR OWN BREAD. The pickled vegetables in the sandwich were perfect. I just had to order another one and bring it home. 2 large bowls of pho, an appetizer, and 2 banh mis for $34 including tip? Yes, please. I hope to be dining there tonight! read more
