Very great traditional pho, fast service and great workers!

Horrible experience..... Stopped by after work this afternoon, I order some fried rice and vegetables to go and the lady taking my order gave me an angry look when the whole time. My sister was craving soup last night so we went there around 9pm, an hour before closing(stated online) but unfortunately we went in and they were closed. That was fine with us and we came the very next day during lunch hours. At first everything runs smoothly, we get seated, immediately served water without asking, order food, and immediately got our pho as well. After that it was as if they were finished with us. Owners/servers talked loud across the room in a silent restaurant (no music, only news on TV), the broth in the food was good but there was hardly any meat, and we had to get up and awkwardly stand in front of the cash register for a good while to pay for the food. I work in fast food service and the basic minimum service was not good and paid for a soup with little pieces of meat. I would come here for take out if I was really craving some soup since I don't live far. read more

This restaurant does not do pho justice. Broth was extremely oily and had a weird flavor. Had to drown it in sriracha. Bowl it is served in is huge, however it is mostly broth. The only pros were the quick service and prices. Probably won't come back. read more

I work across the street so I'm always ordering food from here for lunch. I usually get the grilled pork sandwich and an iced coffee and it never fails! Always SOOO good!! The coffee is your classic Vietnamese coffee, so be prepared because it's strong lol. And the grilled pork banh mi is one of the best I've had! I never get tired of it. Never dry and always a good amount of toppings. I've also had the pho ga (chicken soup) and it was yummy, just your classic pho. The employees and the owner are always nice to me when I come in. Food was ok not on the good side. Fish sauce was off like cheap knock off brand. Viet style ice coffee was very generic not the good stuff like at an authentic Viet place. Tried them twice don't think will be coming back both times bad service. The young skinny boy looks to be coming out the closet with major pms and acts deaf or mute. But I heard him talking to another lady who came in speaking Rudely and loudly at him. May be he only responds to people talking to him in that manor. If your polite to him he'll act mute and look at you weird. The dad was not too friendly himself during both visits. Very rude staff and do not give you a welcoming greeting. Food takes a long time to arrive and they drop off the items and don't check up on you or get you refills on your drinks. The old man too cheap to give me a plate to eat on. I had to eat over the white paper table mat. I guess this place has the reviews based on limited Viet places available in P-town. Went here a few days ago and I have to say I loved the food and service! The servers were very kind and patient. Came on a not so busy day so service was very fast, the menu had reasonable prices and I'm glad with what I ate. The food was very delicious and filled me up, would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to have an afternoon lunch. read more

Got the number 10. Soup was very bland and water down. Noodles were not soft, they were kind of hard? The tripe had a funky sink flavor... The meal had 3 to 4 pieces of rare meat. One beef meatball, 2 tripe pieces. The whole meal was very bad... Skip this pho restaurant if you want good pho. read more

Came I'm no greeting for 10 minutes, waitress that served me was In a hurry. I've ordered Chicken egg and rice noodle. What I got was egg noodle only and shredded chicken that tasted like cardboard. Noodle was bland and broth soup was not that great. I left that on the side and ordered broken rice chicken and Korean bbq which was good and reason for 2 stars. Customer service sucks. First time here today. Lunch for 1. Got the charbroiled pork and egg roll, Vietnamese coffee and a chicken Banh Mi. Cause you know gotta try it all. Really good option for Pomona. Probably won't top my go to in Diamond Bar, but I would come back. Great to see that they also serve beer, maybe wine too, but a beer with Vietnamese is perfect and not many places have beer! For that reason I would come back alone. 4 stars because the pork was super lean, could have used some more fat and gristle, fish sauce was a little bland. Tried this place seeing it is a new place and reading all these positive reviews. Sadly, it did not meet my expectation at all. The service was awkward and terrible. The food was medium. The atmosphere was pretty gloomy. Ordered a drink but more it was overfilled with ice. Had to ask for utensils. I can only guess that a lot of these new reviews are from the owners family or friends as it was wayyy below my expectation. I don't see myself as a picky guy but you can try and see what I mean. read more

Let me add to the growing list of reviews extolling the change in ownership and the return of good food to this corner pho joint. I moved to this neighborhood 2 years ago and what I had considered a good pho spot in the beginning, unfortunately started going downhill soon after that. I experienced all the things everyone previously complained about and it was made worse by the fact that the restaurant would stare at me through my windows in my loft. It was torture living so close to a pho restaurant and not being able to go because it wasn't good and the service was terrible. I've gone twice since the change of ownership and I have to say that I'm very happy with the changes and I will definitely be returning. read more

Wow best hidden little treasure in Pomona!! I've been looking for good Phó restaurant for a while now. I would always drive by, finally I decided to try it, it was the best Phó I've had. The food here is really good and fresh. I usually get the combination pho and pork spring rolls and never been anything other than satisfied. The only reason i give it 4 stars rather than 5 is because customer service was non-existent. The lady is very rude and just takes your order and thats basically all the talking she does while you're there. She drops off the food without saying anything and does't return to check up on you. I've had better. I ordered their Pho soup for a friend and I for take-out. The broth is good. Has good flavor. But they forgot some ingredients in both of my orders. The bean sprouts & jalepenos were missing. Plus the Thai Tea I ordered was not filled all the way... Also, the place could be cleaner. Lots of little flies at the counter. Their charbroiled beef broken rice is amazing and they have larger than average pho portions. Love coming here for a nice meal or ordering ahead to take our, very authentic vibes. Family staff can come off as rude probably due to some language barriers but cater very well dining in. read more

I live right above Pho Vina in the founders building. All I have to say is this place is amazing. The food is delicious and the new owners are friendly and have really turned the place around. The new decor is great and the difference in the food is very noticeable. I eat here multiple times a month and ever dish I have ordered has been tasty. Chicken pho was good the service was terrible!!! Not even a hi or nothing took 2o minutes for them take our order... never going back

1st time going in here today. Placed a to-go order. The lady who took my order looked at me crazy and then was rude when I placed my order. She had a stank look on her face the entire time I was talking to her. Then while I was waiting, I noticed the same lady making an iced tea, she poured the tea into a cup then put something in it, took some type of stick to stir it, put the stick she was stirring the drink with in her mouth to taste it, then she put that same stick that was in her mouth back in the cup to stir some more then took it out and served it to a customer!!!! I was in total shock! I won't be back. That's just plain old nasty. I'm sure no one wants her germs. I can't believe she did that! read more
