Cheap easy grub. This restaurant is currently only doing takeout. We came for dinner takeout one night recently and the experience was very easy. Ordered the rare beef pho, and one of the stirfry dishes with rice. Service was friendly, and very quick. We got our food within 10 minutes. Portion sizes big, and the prices is very reasonable. Tried this gem out on a rainy day and what is better than Pho when it's chilly and gloomy out?! The "Xpress" in the name is no joke I came in, ordered, and walked out with my pho in less than 10minutes. I did order to go so maybe that's also part of why it was so fast. I ordered their number #25 Chicken Pho. Their to-go packing was good in my opinion, they used a styrofoam container for the broth which keeps it hot and put the meat, onion, and cilantro in another paper typical to-go container. The sides come with your typical baggy of onion sprouts, lime, serranos, and Thai basil. Surprised there was no mint though. The guy at the register did ask if I wanted extra of any side sauces and let me know it came with one of each. I asked for an extra side of chili oil because I like my pho spicy. I was a little surprised to see that they use the actual to-go packets of hoisin sauce and sriracha . I'm used to have the little to go containers with those sauces. So I could of asked for extra of both. Overall the flavor of the broth was a 9/10 for me. Very flavorful! Not a 10/10 just because I would of liked a little more of the hoisin and sriracha in my broth. Will definitely be back to try other pho's and maybe some of their appetizers. Being Vietnamese and growing up eating Pho, I'm a bit biased and think this place is just "okay" according to my liking based on broth, aroma, and vegetables. Immediate smelled the pho aroma upon entry. We ordered 3 egg rolls - The egg rolls tasted like vegetarian ones from the temple. The plate of vegetables with 2 lettuce leaf and basil was fresh. It was not wilted or dirty. Pho Tai - The veggie plate was a disappointment compared to the egg rolls. We asked for extra lemons and used bean sprouts. The broth was so-so. I always check for wateriness, meaning did they dilute the broth to reduce the salt to get another day out of it? Or I taste the broth to see if it's overly salty. Fried rice combo - You can't go wrong with fried rice. This wouldn't be my go-to Pho restaurant, I would drive further to Convoy or Eastside area. After trying a bunch of different Pho spots, this is our go-to. We end up eating there nearly every week for takeout. The pho is amazing, I especially love their tofu and veggie pho, it comes with lots of fresh vegetables. The broth is flavorful and they are generous with the toppings. The rice vermicelli is awesome as well. We also love the tofu rolls (wrapped in rice paper like summer rolls) and the fried eggrolls are really good as well (though you need to request sweet and sour sauce). My husband frequently stops by for Thai tea with boba. They do everything very well!! The Lo Mein/Chinese dishes are also good if you are craving Americanized-style Chinese food.
