    Brisket Benny ($15.99), Pancakes ($6.99)
    Wendi K.

4.5 Stars A cute lil diner with classic, stick-to-your-ribs brunch food with a Southern twist. Food: Brisket Benny ($16.99) was hefty. They did not skimp on the biscuits. The biscuits sort of taste like sweet cornbread. The hash brown casserole was rich and creamy. The pancakes ($6.99) - were nice, lots of blueberries! Staff were really nice. Only nits: There was obnoxious pop music playing the background. It's not their fault I hate pop music though, lol.

The Phoebe's Diner downtown location is much bigger and nicer than the Oltorf location in south Austin. There's free street parking directly across the street, which is a big plus downtown. The service was very warm and friendly but not as attentive. The yogurt parfait was delicious. I ordered it without the lemon curd and it was still fantastic. The portion was very generous so I couldn't even finish it. The tater tots were perfectly crispy and soooo good dipped in ranch. A few sides were a bit disappointing. The mushrooms and spinach were a bit too salty, and the side of scrambled eggs looked very dry - my friend didn't even eat them, and the bacon was so thick it tasted like ham. I would come back to try some other dishes.

    Migas and OMG!

Came here based on Yelp reviews as Austin visitors and wish we could have gone again! My migas were to die for! Hubby had half order of biscuits and sage sausage gravy and it was good too! Fun servers, good coffee!

The service is incredible, our server was so kind. The food, very yummy! Especially their masa balls. We ordered the beef hash and migas plate! The place was busy but not where you couldnt have your own convo. Everything was very enjoyable and we'll be back :)

Had a great breakfast date here! We shared the brisket burrito and two pancakes, which was a good portion early in the morning that didn't leave us feeling heavy. Not many restaurants open at 7am, so this was the perfect spot. The smoked brisket burrito was absolutely delicious. I tried a little bit of the salsa, and I preferred the burrito without it. The potatoes were too dry and bland for my liking. The buttermilk flapjacks were great as well, and I really liked how they had a sweet flavour to them even though we didn't get any add ons.

I wanted a hearty brunch, so I found a cute, upbeat, and lively restaurant on 11th Street near my hotel -- Phoebe's Diner. The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was amazing. The staff showed incredible hospitality, creating a comfortable and joyful dining experience from the moment I walked in. We had an amazing waitress named Mallory, who recently moved to Texas and provided me with a great list of local attractions, photo opportunities, bars, and restaurants to visit. She was very attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful throughout the entire experience. The food was outstanding. I had the brisket burrito and the chicken with tater tots -- both were phenomenal. And you definitely have to try their sauces! They're unlike anything you can imagine and truly elevate the entire meal. Visiting Phoebe's Diner was one of the best experiences I've had here in Austin. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty and memorable brunch!

Shrimp and Grits with Green Churizo

Phoebe's Diner is a cutesy Brunch place in Austin that we got to try. The place gets busy but you can get on the waitlist through Yelp. We had to wait probably for 5mins on Thanksgiving day. The place some great breakfast options as well lunch sandwiches. I went for the green Churizo shrimp and grits which were creamy and cheesy. The shrimp was grilled which added so much flavor. This was my first time trying the green Churizo and I simply loved it. We also tried the Fried french toast which was really good. It was fluffy with a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg, whipped butter on top took it to another level. The ambiance is good, they have patio seating as well. They play soft mood music which adds to a calming atmosphere. Definitely try them out next time you are in town.

First time in Austin and we wanted a good brunch place- Phoebe's didnt disappoint. We didnt have a wait, being seated immediately before the rush. I knew it was a good place with the portrait of the Anthony Bourdain on the wall. I got the thick French toast which was beyond delicious and gorgeous looking. Also got to try the homemade biscuits and jelly.

Great overall experience and an easy 4 stars. The Cheeky Monkey dish is the move, super flavorful and the standout on the table. Service was friendly and stayed on top of refills even when it got busy. It can feel a little crowded and not every bite wowed like that dish did, but portions are solid and it is definitely worth a stop.

Blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. Perfect!!

No one likes jury duty...no one. I was annoyed to have to drive downtown and I was hungry on top of that. On a whim, I decide to try Phoebe's Diner and I was so glad I did. The staff was friendly and the pancakes are crispy on the outside and super soft and fluffy on the inside. I ordered a side of bacon thinking I would get two small slices and I was thrilled to see a single thick slice of bacon that was cooked to perfection! I have only tried breakfast, but I am planning on bringing my wife and kiddo back here as soon as possible. Thank's Phoebe's Dinerfor helping turn my morning around!!

    Brisket Benedict.

Visited the downtown located on 3/5/26 and was not disappointed! If you get a chance to dine here, try to sit at the counter if you are not with a large group. Sitting here gives you the opportunity to see the working of this fantastic restaurant and interact a bit more with the staff. Servers were fantastic and very personable. Don't know who sets the standards for service here but the bar is high. Food is delicious! Wife had the brisket benedict and she would not share any so I know it was good. I had the chicken fried ribeye and it was AMAZING! So tender I could cut it with a fork. Wish I could come here every day!

Phoebe's Diner delivers exactly what you want from an Austin eatery: hearty, well-executed comfort food in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. It's a fantastic choice for both families and anyone craving a satisfying brunch or lunch while in downtown Austin. The Fried Chicken and Grits (4/5) is a must-try if you're looking for something savory and hearty, featuring a perfectly crispy, well-seasoned crust that pairs beautifully with the creamy, cheesy grits. I prefer a thick piece of juicy thigh but the breasts will do. The Chicken Fried Steak(3.5/5) is decent, generous in portion and smothered in a flavorful sage gravy. For starters, the fried mozzarella (4/5) was a tasty with a kick of spice from the dipping sauce, a step above the typical classic. The kids' menu was a success for our kiddos. The bacon and eggs (4/5) were cooked just right whoever, portion is too small IMO. Nice thick piece of bacon but they only give the kid half a piece. The blueberry pancakes (4/5) were fluffy. Kids can choose either fruit or tots and they each opted for each. Fruits cup has typical fruit choices but the highlight is truly the tater tots which has a perfect crisp. We also ordered the Vietnamese coffee (3.5/5) and it was strong and sweet like a typical Vietnamese coffee but it has this odd after taste of possible burnt beans. Phoebe's is a reliable and delicious diner experience. Be ready for a line but they do allow you to call and get on the waitlist so choose that option if you are able to plan ahead.

    Hashbrown Casserole, Crab Cake Benedict
    Tiffany T.

Absolutely one of my favorite brunch places to go to in Austin! There is one dish here that I come for, and it's the crab cake Benedict. The dish is very well executed and has the perfect amount of richness to it. The crab has always tasted fresh, and there is definitely a good amount in each crab cake. This dish comes with one side and I like to get their hashbrown casserole. Service is typically good, and it's definitely a great restaurant to visit with family and friends. They always put a "joke" book on the table, and I feel like it's a family centered environment. I've been to another Phoebe's location in atx but I find that this one is my favorite. Overall, love Phoebes!

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving.
