    Satay beef Nissin Noodles
    Derek S.

Came by for breakfast the other day and it was a tasty experience, although I had some stomach issues even before leaving the restaurant... HK Macau Bistro II seems to have remodeled the former Tam's Noodle House while keeping the same ownership. The restaurant was freezing cold while the staff wore their uniform t-shirt and some opted to wear gloves. Opted for the satay beef Nissin noodles and it was tasty. The satay beef may have been undercooked and/or gone bad, resulting in a bathroom visit. The breakfast combo came with stir-fried eggs along with a dinner roll which were decent. The hot milk tea was tasty. ~$12/head after tax and gratuity for breakfast.

I dig this place. My old stumping grounds of delicious food corner in MPK got bought out. So here I am. These guys also have a tea time menu which I like. However if you want a drink with your food it'll cost you. So I bought my usual lemon tea for $1.50. It's sweeter than I like and they do offer a to go cup. We ordered: wonton noodle soup (skip) Beef noodle soup (good 8/10) Beef chow fun dry (good 8/10) Pork and egg ova rice (7.5/10) tad too sweet Hainan chicken (9/10) did not like chicken super cold tho I do love the service here, they're pretty on it when you can hail a person down. They do speak Cantonese here and I'm too rusty so English it is. The whole place has a mahjong theme with street sign that some I've never heard of. I'm a fan and will be back on weekends during tea time.

This HK Macau Bistro II is pretty darn legit, authentic & good for Hong Kong/Macau style foods. Great find. Environment is well decorated with Mahjong pieces at the tables and there's plenty of seats/couch spaces inside. Very good vibes. Lots of people speak Cantonese and Mandarin/Chinese here. Staffs are professional and provide good service as needed. Very clean and modern. Macau pork chop buns and french toasts look very delicious and tempting. Prices are decent. You can choose from all kinds of rice rolls, rice plates, noodle soups, sandwiches, snacks, stir fried entrees, etc. and they even serve breakfast. Nice. Good menu variety. I had the $9.99 golden yellow salted droopy egg yolks french toast which was topped with custard syrup, pork sung meat floss toppings, peanut butter, etc. It was so droopy good and filled with juicy salted egg yolks. Great flavors. Huge portions. Worth it for afternoon snack. French toast was really made fluffy with egg ingredients. Sweet! Great value. $13.99 fish ball/fried fish cake noodle soup was fulfilling. Good balance and good food presentation. Loved all their colorful plates/bowls. Added a red bean iced beverage and iced coffee to go. Good feeling eating inside the place. We will definitely revisit in future. Service was very memorable. Great atmosphere.

If you know, you know... Hong Kong café vibes hit different HK Macau Bistro II brings that classic cha chaan teng experience, fast service, bold flavors, and a menu full of comfort favorites. It can get busy (for a reason ), but totally worth it. I ordered: Beef stew with flat shrimp-roe noodles Steamed rice noodles with BBQ pork And of course... had to try a little bit of everything from the table Flavor-packed, satisfying, and perfect for sharing.

Open late and tasty! This place is a win in my book. The servers were efficient though not the friendliest- I chalk that up to the language barrier but that did not detract from the overall experience and meal. The restaurant has a lot of casino decor and was very festive- I love the mahjong tables. Their chow fun was superb and really hit the spot- I am sure I will be back to try their congees and other items when I am in the area as they have an enormous menu!

Great spot for delicious and affordable food! Pineapple bun was especially tasty-crunchy and soft inside and perfectly sweet. We ordered lobster with sticky rice and chicken rice pot. Very delicious.

Came with a big party today. It is easy to get a table if you have a party of five or more. They only two big tables, but most of the people come in four or less. We ordered two porridge breakfasts, one pork chop sandwich, and one pork chop plate. That was enough foods for the eight of us because the porridge breakfasts come with two side dishes. Lot of foods and we have leftovers. Good foods, good companies! Ray out!

I'm a fan of the other location, so I'm glad that another one has opened a bit closer to me. My family and I went on a Thursday afternoon during lunch and the restaurant was PACKED but we were seated immediately in a back booth. It's busy, but luckily it's a larger restaurant with lots of seating and tables, but I can only imagine that it's even busier with a wait during other times. LOVE the decor here. Everything is so themed to HK. The street signs, double decker bus, mahjong tiles in the table (different themes to this, we were seated at a Snoopy and Crayon Shin-chan themed ones), the cityscape on the wallpaper, and much more. Menu is MASSIVE. There's breakfast foods, soups, noodles, rice dishes, rice noodle dishes, western style dishes and much much more. Very easy to share food family style so you can try a little bit of everything. Apparently, when we went if you spend over $100 you get a plate of lobster for free! It was a smaller lobster, but it was a nice surprise! Meat was tender and juicy. A little bit salty, but it's something to eat with rice, so this is perfect. For our lunch, we got the: 1) HK Milk Tea (hot): -Comes in a cute thicker tea cup with the condensed milk cow logo on it. Perfect for photos. They give you a side of condensed milk to sweeten it to taste. It comes out SUPER strong and tea tasting, so I did have to use a bit of condensed milk, but it became the yummy classic tasting HK milk tea after. 2) HK Style Coffee: -It's a bit sweet if you're more into stronger coffees, but it's a nice sweet treat and pick me up. Dad had his to go and my brother downed his in one go. 3) Honey Lemon: -This confused my mom a bit since it comes with 2 different hot cups. One is more tea based and you can mix it in or dilute it with something, the other is just actually hot water with honey and lemon in it. They also give you a side of honey if you need to sweeten it more too. Easy to drink if you need something warm and good for your throat. 4) Malacca Seafood Fried Vermicelli: -HUGE amount of food for this. My parents were baffled. Lots of squid, shrimp, and fish. Truly a seafood dish. -Has a slight spice taste to it (not spicy) and there's beansprouts mixed in. Despite everything, this was a leftover we didn't get sick of each time we had to reheat and eat it. 5) Tomato Egg and Beef Macaroni: -I know this is like a dish for a child to eat, but it's one of my favorite and go to's every time I see it on the menu. -Lots of macaronis and the sauce is tangy and sweet from the tomato. Some little bits of tomato and egg in it and a good amount of beef. -Delicious! 6) French Toast: -I got this plain. Huge part of a brick toast. Nice and crispy edges and comes with a pat of butter on top and a side of syrup to add it to your liking. I drowned mine in syrup to make up for the bready parts on the inside. -it's not as sweet as western French toast, so I liked that a lot. Really something I'd order if I was craving it. 7) Beef Chow Fun: -This was so good that my dad was the only person who finished his meal out of the entire family. -Love the chewy texture of the noodles and my dad agreed too. Said it reminded him of the Cantonese noodles he'd have back in Vietnam. -Noodles were nicely sauced and not too salty and comes with a good amount of beef and some veggies mixed in too. 8) Rice Noodle Sheets with Shrimp: -I don't remember the exact name for this but it's those rice noodle sheets (think a bit like banh cuon) but slathered in the sweetened brown sauce (reminds me of hoison sauce) and has some egg and shrimp on top. It's a nice easy to eat snack food. My dad didn't like it, but everyone else at the table found it yummy and inoffensive. 9) Hainan Chicken Rice: -This was the first dish to come out and the chicken is cold. I haven't had it that way before and my brother didn't expect it, so he saved it so he can take home and reheat. The rice is cooked with tumeric so it's pretty strong in that flavor and comes in a vibrant yellow color. -We got all of the sauces for the Hainan chicken and when we asked for the little cups to go, we just got some new ones. Thank you! We had WAY too much food leftover for dinner and the next couple of days. The portions are pretty generous here, and we ended up only taking a couple bites of the pasta, seafood noodles, and chicken rice, literally full meals for us the later days. They take Apple Pay, but you have to walk to the front, but that was fine since you can leave and exit much quicker. This place is open until 2 AM. Perfect for stopping by if you're done with a concert or late night hang out!

My friends and I were stuck in the area late at night and starving. This restaurant was one of the very few still open, and I couldn't be more glad we decided to give it a try. Some of the best Chinese food I've had the opportunity to indulge in. Went family style on the beef chow fun, salt and pepper pork, honey walnut shrimp, lobster fried rice, and the Singapore fried rice vermicelli. All dishes were a hit, and I don't have a single complaint! Service was quick and attentive.

Nostalgia in a cup is how I can describe HKMT! I'm always looking for a good Hong Kong cafe spot and the service here was too notch! Terry was super friendly and accommodating. Some stand outs were the spare rib pot rice (super flavorful and the rice had a good crisp), the beef chow fun (great wok hai), and the black pepper chicken steak. Of course, must get the hkmt which comes with a free refill!

I've been here a few times for lunch and dinner, whenever I crave Cantonese food, this is the spot. Their stir fry's remind me of dishes you get at the stalls back in the day on Hong Kong streets. They have good breakfast specials that provide a congee, noodle or noodle like side, and also a pineapple bun. My favorite things to get here would be the stir fry's dishes and if I'm really hungry perhaps the pork chop and chicken steak combos with rice. The service is your typical Chinese restaurant, the waiters and servers are quick but it won't be the best service. Usually it's pretty busy in the mornings and nights so go early to avoid a wait.

We decided to have a family dinner at HK Macao Bistro II. It was our first time here - or so I thought - until I found out my mom is actually a regular. That alone says a lot. The decor is very mahjong-forward, which I loved. Every table is decorated with mahjong tiles, and ours had pink Hello Kitty mahjong tiles. Super cute and such a playful touch. As for the food, we ordered quite a spread: * Squid in black bean sauce - really good * A variety of steamed rice noodles - excellent * Beef chow fun - excellent, nicely wok-fried * Mixed mushrooms with pork jowl - just okay * Salt & pepper pork - also okay Everything came out hot and fast. I believe we may have even scored a complimentary lobster dish after hitting a certain spending amount. It's always nice getting together with family over a tasty meal, and this spot made for a fun, lively dinner. I can see why my mom keeps coming back.

I came here with family and waited a few minutes before getting seated. Interestingly, some of the staff wore shirts that said "Tam's Noodle House" on the back. That's the incumbent business for this location, but HK Macau Bistro II basically serves the same big menu of Cantonese cuisine. The first observation that struck my interest is that this restaurant operates nearly all the time as they open at 8 am and close at 2 am the next day. We ordered braised tofu with brown sauce, Macau-style curry beef stew, and crab meat with fish maw soup. The tofu and soup came a long time before the curry, so there was a wait. The braised tofu didn't have a slurry like in other restaurants, but it still had delicious taste. The curry also had potatoes with a slight crisp to them, so they weren't soggy. It was filling and had a good amount of spice. The soup was solid, and there was plenty for us three. Noon is a peak time, so you can expect to wait and dine in a loud setting. The restaurant was really busy, but the servers weren't too hard to flag down. Unfortunately, there was a fairly large moth that appeared around our area, and another table swatted it inadvertently toward us. This restaurant serves solid quality in large portions, and prices seem similar to the current market.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.

We were placed in the back room, which felt a little more calm compared to the main dining area. Service was good. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and really on top of things, which made a big difference since it was packed. Ordering is simple, they give you a paper menu where you mark what you want and hand it back. We ordered tea for two and picked a bunch of dim sum: jumbo shrimp har gow, shrimp fried wontons, steamed rice noodle roll with shrimp, baked abalone sauce BBQ pork bun, poached Chinese broccoli, and custard egg tarts. Everything came out fresh and hit the spot. The har gow were plump and juicy, the rice noodle rolls were soft and silky, and the BBQ pork buns had that perfect slightly sweet, fluffy texture. The egg tarts were a great finish--warm and flaky. We did end up only getting 5 out of the 6 items we ordered, but honestly we were already pretty full at that point so I didn't feel like making it a big deal. Also... we were so hungry we totally forgot to take pictures of the rest of the food Overall, a good dim sum spot, however I felt like the prices were a bit higher than the other dim some places I usually go to. To our surprise, when the dish came, the chicken portion was small enough that it's about half the size of what they normally give you. More noticeably the dark meat part. The char-siu had a few few pieces on top, the rest were little bits and pieces underneath it. for $17.99 , that's quite expensive. We could and should have asked to return it like a couple of other tables next to ours did. But they got theirs after us. Needless to say, this will be our last time to go there. I decided to give this location a try. I ordered togo, however when I picked up my order, I saw there were many seats available. Everything was packed very well and they didn't forget anything. I had two orders of Yang Chow fried rice (which included shrimp and bbq pork), and two orders of pan fried chicken steak + pork chop combo, which came with some steamed veggies, mushroom sauce, and a side box of white rice. The fried rice had wok hey and was good. The bbq pork was a bit tough/hard though. The chicken steak was pan fried really well and well cooked. The pork chop was a bit thin, but was crispy. I love how easy to eat the steamed veggies were. Everything was fresh and clean. My order came out quick and hot!! I am pleased to say this passed my quality of Hong Kong cafe test. I love going to hong kong cafes and trying each one out. I would definitely order again!

Usually, I would come here during dinner time and the place has great service. Staff members are always friendly and ask if you would like a refill on your iced lemon tea which yes you should get! They have it with sugar or without, I tend to get it without sugar but most people love and enjoy it with sugar. My favorite items are probably their pasta dishes and also their deep-fried chicken wings! It might take a little while to get but it is worth the wait. I love how crispy and juicy the wings are. Plenty of tables for large parties or small sizes but coming here with a group is nice to share and enjoy together.

My daughter I ordered 3 separate dishes to share and my favorite was the Baked Cream Sauce Fish Fillet with Rice. Hers was the Baked Chicken with Pasta. Also got the Curry Chicken and surprisingly, it had more chicken than potatoes (fine with me since I am not a huge fan of potatoes). Their iced Lemon Tea passed my taste test. Decor here, like other Hong Kong cafes, is cute with replicas such as an old school phone booth and various memorabilia. Since I was born in Hong Kong, it sure made me felt a bit nostalgic. I look forward to coming back soon to try out their breakfast menu.

The rice and minced pork was super good. Good sweetness and texture. The chow fun was good but I think I would have preferred soy sauce option over the black bean option. The crispy noodles had a really good texture that I really liked, but I wish they were in a diff sauce. A more savory soy sauce or a more salty peanut sauce would have been great. I also like the ambiance and service was also pretty good! the food did not take that long to come out. Everything was pretty affordable and parking was really simple to find as well! Overall, I would recommend going to this place! I think most people would really enjoy it!

I order through the app and pickup later, food is always right and ready at the counter. No problem with that at all. We also dine in there a few times and the food was delicious. They had a promotion of 4 items for dinner. That includes the lobster noodles, salted chicken and 2 stir fry dishes, Service is pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is always busy, people line up for togo orders for the BBQ . Come try their variety of options, if you're craving for BBQ pork and roasted duck!

The dishes no longer have that proper wok hei flavor, and the food tasted bad on my recent visit. What made the experience even worse was the service. The staff were rude, dismissive, and acted annoyed that customers were even there. One of the girls, the one with the ponytail, was especially rude and needs to learn basic manners. Another staff member was also unfriendly and gave attitude the entire time. I also did not appreciate being pressured about tipping. A tip should be optional and based on good service. If the service is poor, customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or confronted over it. On top of that, they add extra charges when using a credit card, including a fee if you spend under $30. That already feels frustrating, but the bigger issue is the attitude and poor treatment from staff. Customers are the reason businesses stay open. No one is asking to be treated like royalty, but people come in to enjoy a meal and should at least be treated with basic respect. If I am going to be ignored, rushed, and given attitude, I would rather stay home and eat in front of my TV. I will not be coming back .. food quality and customer service Nate major improve.
