Cozy spot here, near Wilton off of Grant line Road. This is definitely my pace of environment. I arrive with a few guests and we were able to have conversation without shouting at each other like so many other restaurants. This place is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs refilling our waters as needed. The food was also very delicious including the photo I ordered and the spring rolls. I can't wait to go back there.

Nice that there's a pho place near Wilton. (Pholicious borders Elk Grove and Wilton.) I tried the following: Pho Filet Mignon (P2), Crispy Egg Rolls (A1), and Spring Rolls (A2). I thought the pho was a bit on the pricier side for the portion of noodles. While the broth was on the oiler side, but the meat was very tender. The rolls were fine, but did not stand out from other places in my opinion. I very much enjoyed their chili oil - to me, it seemed to have a heavy garlic presence, which I liked. Friendly service. I will be back when in the area!

Coming from a rainy/hailing day in Tahoe we were looking for a pho spot on the way home. Found this spot and the reviews were promising. It's in a very random area deeep in Elk Grove and far off the freeway. We ordered the umami wings, flavor profile was viet fish sauce and it was pretty good, tasted even better when we squeezed lime on there. It was saucey, crispy, tangy and just the right amount of fish sauce, the added lime pulled all the flavors to balance it out. We also ordered the P2 pho filet mignon - I really liked the broth! Meat was tender and tasty. They have their own small parking lot around the building. Not sure if it gets busy but we came on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. Would come here again if it's on the way for us!

A solid Vietnamese place in Elk Grove. We wanted to try a Vietnamese restaurant that we haven't been to before so we decided on this place. They have their own parking lot but a bit small and narrow. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side. Came here Sunday evening and they were busy. Luckily there was no wait. I got the grilled pork vermicelli combo. Flavor was good. Portion was decent. Good amount of pork. Service was friendly. They were busy so service was a bit slow and a bit lacking.

I decided to come here on New Year's Day with my friend around lunchtime. It kinda sucks that their location is really in the rural part of Elk Grove, but they seem to still get a lot of business, which is great! Their parking lot is on the smaller side. The restaurant is also pretty small, but at the time that we came, there was still space. They did seem to fill up quickly after us! The Elk Grove calendar also had a coupon which encouraged us to make our way out here. Our deal was a free appetizer with the purchase of two entries. We opted for crispy egg rolls and it was delicious! The egg rolls had the wrapper that is the delicate nest kind, which was crispy. It came out fresh and hot! There were 4 rolls that come with a side of fish sauce. The fish sauce wasn't too fishy, which I enjoyed. As for the pho, we both ended up getting the special (#1). It had a fair amount of meat and noodles. I was pretty full after finishing it. The soup was hot, which is good. The soup itself was lacking the flavor that I would have hoped...it's not as strong, hearty of a pho flavor (this is coming from someone whose mom cooks pho!) The pho does come with the side of fresh veggies. Staff were friendly! The restaurant was clean. Overall, it was a good experience!

Finally tried out this spot since we got some mail coupons it's definitely is further away from the house but glad the food was worth it. We got a chicken rice combo (come with grilled chicken, grilled shrimp and one of the egg rolls). My bf enjoy it and it was a lot of food. Also got the egg roll appetizer. They use a different type of wrapping that's soooo crunchy. Add a little bit of the pepper they got there and it was chef kissed. I also got a Hu Tieu Xa Xiu dry style as well. It come with a bowl of broth. We also got a pho broth on the side because the place is call Pholicious after all both broth was great. Really nice deep favor. The Hu Tieu Kho is ok. The sauce could be stronger - though I added like a lot of pickled jalapenos to it and then it was great Service was quick and easy. You'll go to the counter to pay. Take our order quickly and the food maybe take 15+ min to come out - I wish everything could come out together, or if the appetizer could came out first but I guess that's not a big deal. They also serve water with that crunchy ice which I like Slightly small so the whole spot was pretty full. They also had a lot of delivery going out but look like they do a pretty good job of taking care of those as well. I do need to return because on weekends they have different specials all the time and I'm really excited to try some of those different regional noodle soup, beef stew and bò né

Me and husband just wanted to try this since it's just few minutes from the house. We ordered to go.. Crispy Spring Rolls- it's okay it's not as crispy as we had from other restaurants . Rocket Shrimp-it's okay nothing special just shrimp wrap in wonton wrapper or spring roll. Bun Bu Hue- its more on lemon grass and taste plain and very simple broth. A little random pho restaurant in the least expected area off a busy road, in my pov. Always drive by & say I'll go try & now I have. Ordered a BBH, pho, and spring rolls. I'll just say I needed something to revive me when I went this morning. So couldn't even tell you if the BBH was flavorful. The spring rolls could use a bit more protein. I'll have to go again!

I can confirm pholicious is delicious. We ordered the tofu spring rolls and chicken wings to start. The tofu spring rolls were good and the peanut sauce was amazing, I wish I knew how they made the peanut sauce because it's damn good. Also, not sure why my husband ordered the tofu spring rolls since I'm sure there was probably a nem nuong/grilled pork version of the spring rolls but whatever tofu was fine anyway, but now I feel like I have to try the meat version next time. Okay but the chicken wings--excellent and kudos to the kitchen on making these crispy and sticky good tasting. Chicken wings were 5/5 Bun bo hue - their spicy beef noodle soup is a bit different from the version I'm used to but it was still pretty good. There's plenty of lemongrass and they had these pretty good meatballs in them. I would rate the bun bo hue 4/5 Pho ga - Chicken pho broth was really good but their noodles could have been a little better but overall the dish was still good. The service was quick, we were checked on, and staff were friendly. It's a small place inside and for coming on a Wednesday for dinner, they had a good amount of tables filed but they quickly cleaned each table as customers left. They have a lot of great items on their menu that we plan on coming back to try.

A Vietnamese restaurant on Grant Line? Wow -- what a great addition to the area! The food was pretty authentic and definitely hit the spot. I tried the pho, bun bo hue, and a vermicelli dish; all were good, flavorful, and satisfying. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, a solid spot for Vietnamese comfort food in Elk Grove. Would recommend!

3 stars: some hits and misses! - Pho filet minon: wowow the broth taste is deliciously ***bold*** in star anise flavor (checks out with the star anise aroma I smelled even from the parking lot ahaha). No watered-down pho broth nonsense here!! More fat could've been skimmed from the broth though (kinda greasy). Decently tender filet minon. - Bun bo hue: pretty disappointing (was really looking forward to trying the one here as I'm a bun bo hue fan). Zero tanginess from the broth and honestly the broth tastes like straightforward beef broth with some added spiciness. On the bright side, melt-in-your-mouth beef shank! - Umami bomb tofu: super tasty with the different layers of sweetness and saltiness, but the rubbery-skin style of tofu cubes are used here (not my fave), and with them being deep-fried, the corners are hard and sharp making the cubes kinda fussy to eat. Small cozy interior. Overall very neat that a Vietnamese food spot is in this part of EG, but wouldn't say that it's a must-try if you have easy access to Little Saigon in South Sac.

I listened to the hype and decided to finally give this place a try and this place is REALLY ALL ABOUT THE HYPE! I've had the privilege of not only trying this place not just once, but multiple times throughout the entire month as it was that addicting to eat here! You can find this spot at the very end of Elk Grove on the Grant Line road section, hidden far area from the busy city. The small restaurants seats decent, but what they make up for in space, they sure do not skimp out on flavor! The staff is super friendly and are always willing to share their passion on what goes into their food. The pho broth is absolutely flavorful. Clean, aromatic, and full of umami. I typically would converge all the sauces onto the bowl, but this was a broth that needed no additional preparation. I do recommend for spice lovers to try their homemade fresh chili oil as it packs a punch, but they also have dried chili oil in the back that you can request too. A major highlight is their eggrolls! I do not know what wrap or noodle they use to make these delicious pieces, but I've ordered an embarrassing amount that I'd gladly order all over again. Don't let the simplicity of this appetizer fool you, its full of flavor and textures. The fish sauce dip on the side to dip is just a chefs kiss to top it all off.

The service was horrible, brought out my dad's food immediately then it took them 20 minutes to bring out a Banh Mi sandwich (which they said they were gonna check on twice), our initial female server never showed her face after "checking on" my sandwich but helped the other tables, our waters were never refilled, the male server had a terrible, lazy attitude the entire time. He stood and talked to some customers he knew for quite a while before casually taking other tables orders who had been waiting. I think they probably forgot to put my banh mi sandwich in and instead of admitting it, just hid from our table and forced us to flag them down, then made it incorrectly from what I ordered. Just all around a big disappointment as I was rooting for this restaurant. Maybe their initial popularity has gone to their heads and they feel as though they can give whatever service they want. I understand being friendly is important to customer service but if you are completely neglecting tables to hang out and chat with one, maybe this isn't the job for you. I'd be willing to come back if they get their service to a better standard for their guests because the food was good. read more

This place has good pho. I like mine with no hoisin sauce or Sriracha, and their broth is good. Love their eggs rolls as well. The wrap was light and crispy. I gave them 3 stars because their prices are way too high. At almost 20 bucks for a bowl of pho, I won't be back. There are other places that are just as good with much better prices. read more

Beautiful spring Sunday, and with an early Kings game at 12:30PM, the energy was already high. As the crowd was chanting "Light The Beam!!" I was chanting something else in my head-"Time for Pho, Time for Pho!!" Kings win! Time to celebrate with my favorite comfort food. I had a new spot in mind -- Pholicious in Wilton/Elk Grove. Like that Ellie Goulding song, "Why I got you on my mind, but my heart don't understand...", I couldn't stop thinking about it. After a 30-minute drive, we rolled in around 3 PM. The place is completely transformed from the last business. Beautiful entryway, bright and welcoming. We were greeted by a friendly waitress with a beautiful smile. I believe her name was Haley. She got us seated quickly, brought out water, and took our order. Shoutout to her: another customer asked about low-carb options, and she knew the menu well enough to recommend substituting salad for carbs. He was stoked, and I was impressed. We ordered the BBH,Egg Roll Lettuce Wraps, and a kid's Pho. First sip of that pho broth, OMG it was so good. Deep, rich, flavorful. The BBH had that perfect kick and layers of flavor that really danced on the taste buds. The egg rolls-crispy, flavorful, and fresh. Great food, fantastic service, and a spot l'll definitely be coming back to. Pholicious is the real deal! read more

Came back again, this time on a double date. The restaurant is always clean. We had the same server and Tahari absolutely did an amazing job serving us. She is so personable and so easy to talk to. She took care of all of our refills and checked in on us throughout the meal. The food was amazing, broth was good, and meat was still tender. I didn't make my pho too spicy this time, and it was perfect! Love this local spot so much, I am SO glad Wilton has this precious gem of a restaurant in town. Service is better than any other Vietnamese restaurant I've been to, ever. Egg rolls were amazing (5 stars), love the "wrapper" they used, super light and crispy. Will come back for these if nothing else. Grilled pork with rice was just ok, prob 3 stars. It was fatty and portion was small compared to other places. Pho broth was tasty, after trying the filet mignon I actually prefer the round for both taste and texture. They only have option for the filet now so that's disappointing. Also super pricey for very small portion ($19 and I finished my bowl which never happens at other places). The restaurant itself is small so it was pretty crowded but we weren't too bothered by that. Decor is basic but nice. I'll give it another try but if portions continue to remain small with the high price tag, I'll prob get my pho elsewhere. read more

Came in on busy Saturday afternoon and the business was packed. Excited to try a new place, but came out pretty dissapointed. Service was okay, it was busy so the wait staff seem to be running on automation, not overly courteous, but not rude. Understandable. Food was underwhelming for such a busy new spot though, not sure if it was because it was busy or if it's their normal, but the pho broth tasted pretty light and bland. What I meant by being busy is if the pho broth was watered down since it was so busy as to keep up with demand. May warrant another try some other time when they aren't busy, but as of now Elk Grove has plenty of pho restaurants that are plenty good and easier to get to. read more

I love supporting local businesses and I love pho!! I have never found one as good as the places in San Diego. I got a number 1 pho and vermicelli. DUDE! The broth is amazing! It is so thick and full of flavors. It tastes like it's been boiling for days and weeks! This is by far the best pho broth I have tasted in Sacramento! Highly recommend! Also, the vermicelli was amazing. The pork was flavorful and the shrimps were large! I ordered it to go so I wish I asked for an extra fish sauce. There portions are so big that I needed more fish sauce but it was still amazing read more

Went here on 4/3/2025 for lunch. This was our first visit. What struck me first was the renovation. When it was Happy Garden, it was a run down shack and they were surprised if you wanted to actually done in. Now it is clean and modern inside and out. The dining room feels spacious now. It was fairly busy when we went and it took about 5 minutes to get seated. I had the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork, egg roll, and shrimp. It was very good. Good amount of grilled pork. It has good flavor but not the best I've had. The shrimp was flavorful and clearly had been well marinated. It came with one egg roll that had a unique wrapper. The filling was meaty with a hint of crab. Most other egg rolls taste like there's a lot of filler but not this one. This one is legit. It was a good portion. My wife had the pho with rare steak. The broth was tasty and up there with the best phos I've had. We make our own pho sometimes and this is almost as The rare steak was extraordinarily tender. They obviously use a very high quality steak. There was so much steak my wife couldn't eat it all. The prices are a bit higher than other pho restaurants but the quality seems there. I would definitely go back and try other dishes. The vegetarian pho looked amazing. I can confidently recommend this place for your Vietnamese food fix. read more

Stoped by Pholicious today and was pleasantly surprised with an amazing experience! The wait staff were incredibly helpful and friendly through the whole visit, thank you Kate! I had the pho filet mignon and the broth was so flavorful! The filet was clearly high quality and was extremely tender. I also had the egg rolls which were very crispy and delicious. The raw beef they sold me with the pho soup was absolutely, undoubtedly, and most definitely THE BEST raw beef I've ever had in a phở bò soup. The beef was soft, moist, and didn't have anything nasty like veins or other unpleasantries. The price is higher than any pho I've ever had, but you honestly can't get this quality of meat for anything cheaper. That being said, you totally get what you pay for, and I mean that in a good way. read more

Apparently this restaurant just opened and there is a photo of the menu posted from 4 days ago that has a tofu bahn mi listed for $8. We went today and there was no tofu bahn mi on the menu to which they said they just changed the menu but would "make an exception" because I am a vegetarian. Come to find out, after reviewing the receipt, they charged me for a $10 shrimp bahn mi (the most expensive bahn mi) plus a $4 add tofu charge, so $14 instead of $8. Plus the tofu had no seasoning, and when I say no seasoning I mean ZERO seasoning. We tipped 20% without really reviewing the receipt but definitely wouldn't have if we noticed. Would not recommend coming here, especially if you are vegetarian. read more

I no longer have to go to Elk Grove for pho!!! The broth is authentic to its taste and so Pholicious!!! Definitely one of the best pho I've had in awhile. I am definitely going to go back for all my pho cravings!! You will not be disappointed! Service was fast and prompt, waited no less than 5 minutes for our food. Came here with a couple friends and it was honestly such a good choice. The food was bomb, everything came out fresh and you could tell they actually care about what they're serving. Not just basic stuff thrown on a plate. Our server Katherine was super sweet too, we had a good convo and she just made the whole experience way better. Service was friendly, and portion size is bigger than most Elk Grove Vietnamese restaurants, and priced competitively. I like this place because the food was fresh when I ordered it, meats came out hot, noodles were fresh and not clumpy, and vegetables had a nice crunch. It's difficult to find Vietnamese restaurants that are clean, not in the middle of the ghettos, good portion size, while maintaining a competitive price. This restaurant meets all of those criterias, so it's why I think it's a 5 star Vietnamese restaurant.

They have the eggroll wrapper fried up and put inside so it gives it a nice crunch. Customer service was good. Pleasant experience dining here overall.

My favorite is the curry puffs, like a baked pastry filled with potato and carrot yellow curry with a sweet dipping sauce, but i prefer to use their peanut sauce for the best flavor. My family loves the drunken noodle, pad thai, and green curry. Spice can be adjusted. Parking can get busy in the lunch hour, but plentiful during the midweek evening. Even for walk-up/short notice takeout, the food comes quickly.

The flavor was very good and really loved that they included so many toppings, like chopped celery, chives, crispy pork skin and more. I had left over meat slices after eating. I would come back for this but the other dishes people got didn't seem as good. The Che Ba Mau, Avocado Smoothie and Bun Mam, I heard was all just meh.

I usually order the chicken pho and everyone else here orders beef pho. Their spring roll appetizers are delicious too. Better than most places I've tried. One time my mom ordered their Bun Bo Hue and it was shockingly good. This isn't an item I typically order at a Vietnamese restaurant because there's no way you can compare it to mom's cooking. I'd say for the majority of the times we've picked up or order or had it delivered, it was a fantastic experience. This week, I had it delivered and the chicken was received cold. Not even warm but cold and pink in some areas. I didn't think much of it because I've never gotten sick here before but I got so sick from it this time. I always raved about this spot for anyone visiting the area that it was the best pho spot in NorCal. We've lived in the Bay and SoCal and this place is still better than anything I've had so far. I have never received cold chicken from a pho order before so not sure if it just got contaminated but no one seemed to care about the customer food poisoning after I informed them. I'm sure it rarely happens but you probably shouldn't have drivers deliver refrigerated chicken for a pho order. It also had a stronger smell to it. Please do better Pho City, you were doing so good for a while!

While I make it a point to grab some banh mis to go whenever I'm around, I've never eaten in the restaurant until this weekend. HL is a sleeper because their menu options are big, portions are BIG, AND the food is still decently priced with most entrees being $14. This is getting harder and harder to find, due to cost of living and inflation. Bun Bo Hue (BBH) - Really good! Nice big bowl of noodles with all the usual suspects. Can get this with or without blood cubes. They serve this with a lot of veggies and herbs which is nice because some places are so skimpy. The flavor of the broth is delicious but not spicy. You'll need to add more of the chili oil and other table condiments. Banh cuon - It only said it was served with cha lua (vietnamese meat loaf) but I was surprised to see it came with a shrimp and potato fritter, as well as a good serving of bean sprouts, cucumbers and pickled daikon/carrot on the side. They give you a small side of sambal as well fish sauce to dip or pour over your banh cuon. The portion is huge for $14 and I really loved the taste of the cha lua, which I'm pretty sure is house made. The rice rolls could be a little thinner but they were filled well! The shrimp fritter was okay... two shrimps with shells on btw. It added a nice crunch to the meal but it was pretty greasy with a thicker batter. My fav shrimp fritter comes from Tay Ho but can't complain! Nem Nuong Spring Roll - I was expecting a couple small spring rolls for $5 but these thangs were long and thicccc (thats what she said). The nem nuong inside isn't overly sweet, but its a long thin slice that spans the whole roll so every bite is the perfect bite :) The eggroll wrapper was nice and crunchy, and the the roll not overly filled with noodles. Very shareable, but ask them to cut it in half or thirds! Was a hot day so we got Soursop smoothie, no pearl and a fresh OJ. Vietnamese OJ hits different. It tastes exactly the way you imagine an orange should taste, but so much better. I'm pretty sure they add some kind of syrup and sugar to it to enhance it because no way is it just fresh squeezed oranges only. Slightly pulpy but not too bad. Soursop is usually my fav but idk if they messed up and gave me the wrong one or what. It tasted very limey lol Only took a couple sips before trashing it. I've never had their shakes before but I found it was very icey, and less creamy than other places. Service is so so. If you want to eat in, just sit at a table and somebody will bring you a menu. The food comes out quick but they won't check on you again after that. If you need anything extra like water, napkins, the check, you'll need to wave someone down. They take CC though, so that's a plus! Parking lot is big, shared with SF market and all the other stores in the plaza so it can get pretty hectic. HL side has a small side lot, so try your luck there otherwise it'll be a walk as they're the corner store.

The thing to note is that service at this most recent time was a bit lacking. It was a Saturday afternoon (after lunch) when we went here. We were one of two parties in line, and the first of the two. The lady "helping" us asked what she could get for me, but then asked me to hold on, and she went to do something else such as packing another order that seemed to have come in from somewhere else. Then she came back to ask what she could get for us, then told us to hold on again, as she packed another large order. She came back to finally help us. It was pretty frustrating to say the least. Outside of that, she was ok. Seeing as how she paused a couple us during our small order...by the time we paid, the line had grew to at least 5 other people in line. We ordered the steamed rice cake, Portuguese egg tarts, and green tea sesame balls. All were good, and not too sweet. The steamed rice cake was a generous amount for $5. The Portugese egg tarts were creamy. The green tea sesame balls had a black sesame filling and were perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time. Parking lot is small, but I can imagine people are in and out pretty quickly. Overall, it's a solid (and only) place for to-go dim sum in this immediate area.
