Decided to take the kids out for phở. Parking: More than enough. Going Inside: After passing through their airlock like vestibule, you come into a quaint little restaurant. It was reasonably busy, but we were seated rather quickly. My Order: I ordered a medium phở tái for myself, and kiddie-sized one for the children. No cilantro for any of us, since we all taste/smell soap in it. I got the bean sprouts steamed, and my meat on the side, so I could cook it to my chosen doneness in the soup. Added the lime and the basil. They give jalapeño slices to put in the soup, but I don't. It's phở, not Bún bò Huế. Some sa tế for dipping and nước mắm for the soup rounded out the condiments. There was hoisin already at the table for dipping the meat. My daughter likes to dip her bean spouts in sriracha, so that's her thing, and she liked the food. I also got cà phê sữa đá. They use Café du Monde instead of Trung Nguyên, but it was decent. The Food: Everything arrived, and we all tore into it. There were only four small pieces of beef on my side plate, and two in each of the kids' soups. The soup was pretty good, and the noodles were terrific. Everything was pretty good; however, the cà phê sữa đá needed some/more condensed milk. There was a decided chicory taste to the whole drink thing that was...well...odd, but acceptable. That's the coffee brand, though. The Pros: Wonderful wait staff! Truly made the experience almost worth it. Almost? The Cons: The dearth of meat for the price. Excellent food, but I paid twice what I pay at other establishments for nearly half the food. Their medium is the size of a small at most places. The value is why it gets a four rather than a five. It ranks #3 on my places for phở, though. Musings: I would like to go back and try the gỏi cuốn. It looked really fresh! Would I go here again? Yes, but probably alone, and on a day I don't mind splurging, since the price point is a bit high. Recommendation: Give it a try, since it's about the food. read more

Service declined. They have two young girls working, who barely speaks English which makes it a very challenging and unpleasant experience. Last time we dined in, one of the girls got a few things incorrect on our order and brought the wrong food, got the wrong coffee (iced instead of hot Vietnamese coffee as I ordered), also had to wait for a long time for service and food. Tonight Feb 14 we ordered by phone to pick up, the guy on the phone told me 20-30 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later and they told me 20 more minutes until the order is ready. I waited another 30 minutes!!! That's almost 1 hour total. Unacceptable. Will not come back again until they hire more professional and accountable staff. read more

I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm not a huge fan of this place because of their pricing per bowl. Especially when I KNOW that Pho 501 sells their bowls for so much cheaper (like $9 at most). But to be honest, their bowls of pho are only average - there's nothing wrong with it but there also isn't any ka-pow. Would you want to pay $12 (or I think $10 for a medium) and then extra for more meat? I wouldn't... Parking is decent to accommodate for their small space. read more

My fiancé and I stopped at this little pho spot on a road trip to and from New England. We were craving pho and found this restaurant on google maps right off the interstate. Being from a town with a lot of high quality pho spots, we have high expectations for any pho we try, but the soup here was much better than expected for an empty shopping mall off the highway. I always get chicken pho, which some people see as untraditional and not as good, but I found the chicken to be very tender and juicy, especially for being white meat chicken. The meat to noodle to soup ratios were on point and the broth was very traditionally seasoned and flavorful. Stopped by PhoLy during our trip back from NYC to New Hampshire. I would honestly give 5 stars for the service and the cleanliness of this restaurant. The server that helped us that day was very friendly and informative. We ordered Pho Special ($13 with brisket, meatballs, tripe & beef tendon) and Pho with Rare Steak ($12.50). What I like was the texture of the noodle and that they gave generous portion of the veggies. The taste of the broth was not really rich and for this price I think they should add more slices of the beef. Updated review: this used to be my favorite vietnamese restaurant when they opened. Its still clean and the service is great but they lose few stars because i've been noticing the quality of the food and the amount of food they serve you is starting to decrease. Their pho is on the expensive side to begin with and when you get a bowl of pho, the bowl comes with soup little over half way full. If you get their veggie pho, they used to use small mushrooms but now they just use white mushroom chopped up. These are just some things ive been noticing thats been slowly changing. So glad to have found this little hidden gem in a rather dead shopping complex. It is right down the street from Homegoods so if you're craving some food in the area, this is the place to be! Inside is very clean and modern and everything is nicely spaced out. Too many Vietnamese restaurants now are dark and dingy inside. We ordered the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich to share as an appetizer and it was SOO GOOD! I kind of wished they had a bigger version of it so i can eat it in place of dinner. This was exactly the way I had remembered it growing up in Brooklyn. And it's very hard to find now even in Brooklyn let alone CT. We both ended up ordering the Special Pho because how can you not. It's a classic. This special pho came LOADED ! First of all, in CT it is super hard to find authentic pho that comes with beef tripe and beef tendons but this place has it ! I had been hearing good things about this pho place and was excited to get takeout on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They have a pretty good sized menu and some appetizers that I don't see often at pho places. We got the chicken with egg noodles and then a beef pho. We also got the summer roll and a leaf wrapped beef and pork roll. We placed the order over the phone and it was ready in 15 minutes. Everything was really well made and had fresh ingredients. Thoroughly enjoy the rare beef pho from this establishment. We have tried a few different appetizers and found the beef rolls to be our favorite and a mist bave every time we come. I have not tried any dish besides the rare beef pho mainly because it is so good, but all the other dishes i have seen come from the kitchen also looked amazing. The pho mever disappoints though! From the broth to the noodlew, beef and various other add-ins, I am always happy and full when I leave. PhoLy is an absolute delight! A coworker and I visited during our lunch break the other day, and it was excellent beyond all expectations. The interior has been beautifully renovated, so it's welcoming as soon as you walk in. Doubly welcoming, in fact, because everyone who works here is so friendly and attentive. The menu covers all the bases that you'd expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. Since it was my first visit, I ordered a bowl of the standard beef pho and a cup of hot Thai milk tea. The tea is so savory-sweet and delicious. It was the perfect meal-opener on a grey, chilly day. And the pho! Insanely flavorful broth, a plentiful helping of rare steak, and noodles of the perfect texture. Soooo good. It was only at the end of our meal that I noticed a sign behind the front counter with a list of special teas, different from the main menu. I think that's how I'll start my order the next time I'm here... As an added bonus, PhoLy was offering a 10% off deal for all dine-in lunches (11am-3pm, Tue-Fri). I'm not sure how long that offer is running. (The blackboard said it was an October special, but it's already mid-November.) Instead of being ready, my wife did not realize she was given all ingredients ( no recipe) to make pho soup. It was fresh, but the time to prepare, without instructions was unacceptable. I just tried these guys out for the first time today, after lamenting that I didn't think there were any Vietnamese restaurants local to me. A quick Google search came up with this place, and awesomely enough they are right down the street from me, and the reviews seemed great. I was so excited to try them out! I can definitely say that I was not let down. The inside is quaint and cozy, has a good amount of tables, everything is neat and clean and the staff very friendly! A good start for sure. We tried a spring roll and a happy roll, respectively filled with shrimp and beef and fresh veggies and herbs. Both were flavorful and incredibly fresh. My husband had a banh mi sandwich with Vietnamese cold cuts. I tried a bite and wished I got my own! Everything about it was delicious. We also got a bowl brisket pho and rare steak pho. The broth is delicate, comforting and sooo good. The meat and noodles were plentiful and after a regular sized bowl of it I felt satisfied and my belly was happy. Took my family out to dine here. We ordered three large phos. The waitress brought the third bowl and spilled part of it on my teenage daughter on her arm and her leg. Thankfully my daughter only had a little redness on her arm, a first degree burn. Waitress apologized but that ruined our experience for the night. The flavor of the broth was deep and definitely had spice to it but what was nice was you could choose how much spice you added in, control your own destiny you could say. It was a decent size , much bigger than other ones I had in the area. The pork was well prepared cooked with a little crisp to it.
