Tiger Belly Noodle Bar is a nice casual spot to stop in for some sushi, ramen, bao, and more. The prices are very fair, and the BYOB policy helps keep costs down, making it an even better value. Plus, there's a convenient spot just about 100 yards away where you can pick up wine, beer, or other drinks to bring along. The ramen was good and definitely worth the price, although we felt the broth could have had a bit more depth of flavor compared to some of our other favorite spots for similar dishes. The East Windsor specialty sushi roll was a standout, and we're excited to try one of their poke dishes next time. The pork belly bao were a definite winner and a highlight of the meal. Stop by if you haven't. If it's your style of food and reasonably local to you, I'd be surprised if it doesn't work its way into the rotation.

Read great reviews and saw delicious pictures online of this place. I bookmarked it and have been trying to get here for a while. The front entrance was locked with a sign saying to use the side door. The interior was very minimalistic. I was greeted right away and I asked if they had a high chair, which they did. We were seated and brought waters right away. They didn't have a children's menu so I ordered my toddler ramen and broth which they happily obliged; this was $10 for anyone wondering. My husband and I shared two sushi rolls which was a lunch special; Philadelphia Roll and eel/avocado roll, both were fresh and tasty. My main course, "the Darkness Ramen", in tonkotsu broth, pork belly, fried garlic, ajitama cured egg, bean sprouts, green onions, bamboo shoots, kikurage earwood mushroom with black garlic oil. The pork was very tender and melted in my mouth and the egg had a unique flavor; every flavor intermingled perfectly. I'm more of a fan of tangy and spicy flavors but I'm glad I got to try this out. I'm looking forward to going back to try out their wings, other entrees, and sushi.

The food is amazing we had it twice in 1 month, although it is a drive for us. It is definitely worth going to. How can you not say no to what I think is one of the best Ramen in CT. At least this is currently on top of my list. The service is excellent as well. Am ok with the blank space. I am there for the food and how clean it is and how the service regardless if it is full or not it is the same. Definitely a must.

Delicious ramen. The meat is so tender. This place has expanded since I have last came so lots of seating. Very quick service - no real long wait as they turn the tables quickly. Quality of ramen is amazing- one of the best ramen places in the area - recommend

Darkness Ramen still as good as before. The ox tail add on option is gone but the eel sashimi is almost as good. It lost a star because the service now is a bit lacking, especially the waitresses sits with her back to the customers so she can't see the needs & pretty much ignored customers after sitting them down. The server that came out of the kitchen is much harder working & much more pleasant.

This is a little place in a shopping mall that goes beyond your normal sushi and pho. It is ascetically modern without a lot of frills. I think that it is done on purpose so you focus on the food We started with the dumplings that were quite plumb and fried lightly with an amazing dribbled sauce over them. Very tasty. The pork banh bao buns were soft and fluffy for the buns and juicy and tender for the pork. Wow. Excellent. The sushi was fresh and imaginative. They had so many unique offerings to try. I had the blacken pho which was so satisfying. The broth was cooked for over 15 hours and resulting in a truly satisfying dish. Definitely will come back. It's BYOB so bring your favorite beverage. Our server was very attentive and happy to see you satisfied.

This place was recommended and was also highly spoken about. Now I see why ! Love that the menu has things labeled GF, place is small, clean and just cozy . I thought they were going to have more options of pho but they had a variety of dishes that covers everyone's needs , sushi, poke bowls, apps, GF, vegetarian and more. I had the Pho and Brisket and it was just perfect. Soo tender! It's just that time of year to have it! Flavorful and more than enough. There was many great variety of sushi to choose from. That actually was our app and shared some rolls. Would definitely come again if I'm In the area and would recommend this place!

After seeing the menu, I decided to try their chicken katsu instead while my fiancé tried the beef ramen. We also got two medium bubble teas. Both drinks came out first. For mediums, they were pretty small (especially with a $7 price tag). I will say though, my creme brûlée oreo tea was incredible. I absolutely loved the flavor and the oreo in it. Still pricey but at least it was good. My fiancé ramen came out shortly after and we weren't too impressed. The beef broth was a muted color which looked more like miso. He said the noodles were sticky and pretty soft. I waited about 15 minutes until my chicken katsu came out (we were the only ones in there so it wasn't busy) and it looked promising... Good crunch but seems like chicken thighs were used as there was a good amount of fat in it. It quickly became kinda inedible because of how much sauce was covering the whole dish. I'm a sauce girly and love my condiments, but this was just so excessive. I asked for a box to go and maybe my fiancé will finish it later lol. The girl was so sweet and even offered MORE sauce to go, but i quickly declined. Overall, may be back for the teas if it's payday. Would not try the food again.

Nearly everything that's been ordered from myself or someone else I've gone with has been yummy. My eight year old absolutely loved the beef hibachi and if it were up to her, she'd eat it every night. If recalling correctly, the only food item I've ever not been thrilled about was their tteokbokki. Normally they have a little kick to them and Kansai's was very sweet. Still enjoyed the dish but I do wish it wasn't as sweet. Usually when we walk in they have us choose whatever table we would like to sit at which is also a plus. Especially when my daughter is in tow because sometimes her childhood whimsy gets a little loud. When I come back to town to visit family, this place is usually our go-to and I'm not upset about it! The one thing I would knock a star for is that I do think its a little overpriced compared to other restaurants such as these. **Please correct me if I am wrong but I also believe the owner of Kansai owns Kisara in Easthampton which is also very yummy!**

It has a decent sized dining area with a large bar for drinks and several TVs scattered throughout. My wife and I met her sister and son for dinner tonight. Let's start with the good. Huge menu with multiple choices of Asian inspired food to choose from. From ramen to hibachi to sushi they have a fantastic selection to choose from. The food itself is also very good. We tried the beef bulgogi appetizer, eel special roll, golden spicy lobster roll, Alaska roll, mt tom roll and chicken hibachi. All had fantastic flavor and the rolls were presented on a huge plate lined up next to each other. Now we describe the bad (or unfortunate). We were greeted by a nice young gentleman who seated us and gave us menus and water. As we sat looking at the giant menu trying to narrow our choices I realized that this guy who seated us was also our waiter. We put in our order and got comfortable. I noticed that this guy wasn't just the host, he was the only waiter in the whole place! Not only that he was also the bartender and the person doing take out. He had 7-8 tables of people plus dealing with take out etc. Our sushi rolls came after a good 20 minute wait. After about 10 more minutes our appetizer tacos came (isn't the appetizer first??) then after another 5-10 minutes we finally got the hibachi. Slow slow and slow. This poor guy working couldn't have done anything about this. I worked in food service for 40 plus years and realized what was happening. Some would just blame the waiter and his tip would suffer. That's wrong! The owners should not only should be aware of this lack of service but should have stepped in to help in times like these. Shame on them! I don't mind waiting for good food but being called a "bistro" you should be a step above the others. Especially with these prices in today's market. Be aware that you might be waiting a bit for your food.

Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams. Like it's not comfortable for me to eat and hear someone yell with a tone that sounds like a fight is about to start.
