Good food and service, broth isn't the best I've had but definitely hit the spot on a cold winter day

Tiger Belly Noodle Bar is a nice casual spot to stop in for some sushi, ramen, bao, and more. The prices are very fair, and the BYOB policy helps keep costs down, making it an even better value. Plus, there's a convenient spot just about 100 yards away where you can pick up wine, beer, or other drinks to bring along. The ramen was good and definitely worth the price, although we felt the broth could have had a bit more depth of flavor compared to some of our other favorite spots for similar dishes. The East Windsor specialty sushi roll was a standout, and we're excited to try one of their poke dishes next time. The pork belly bao were a definite winner and a highlight of the meal. Stop by if you haven't. If it's your style of food and reasonably local to you, I'd be surprised if it doesn't work its way into the rotation.

Read great reviews and saw delicious pictures online of this place. I bookmarked it and have been trying to get here for a while. The front entrance was locked with a sign saying to use the side door. The interior was very minimalistic. I was greeted right away and I asked if they had a high chair, which they did. We were seated and brought waters right away. They didn't have a children's menu so I ordered my toddler ramen and broth which they happily obliged; this was $10 for anyone wondering. My husband and I shared two sushi rolls which was a lunch special; Philadelphia Roll and eel/avocado roll, both were fresh and tasty. My main course, "the Darkness Ramen", in tonkotsu broth, pork belly, fried garlic, ajitama cured egg, bean sprouts, green onions, bamboo shoots, kikurage earwood mushroom with black garlic oil. The pork was very tender and melted in my mouth and the egg had a unique flavor; every flavor intermingled perfectly. I'm more of a fan of tangy and spicy flavors but I'm glad I got to try this out. I'm looking forward to going back to try out their wings, other entrees, and sushi.

Delicious ramen. The meat is so tender. This place has expanded since I have last came so lots of seating. Very quick service - no real long wait as they turn the tables quickly. Quality of ramen is amazing- one of the best ramen places in the area - recommend

Darkness Ramen still as good as before. The ox tail add on option is gone but the eel sashimi is almost as good. It lost a star because the service now is a bit lacking, especially the waitresses sits with her back to the customers so she can't see the needs & pretty much ignored customers after sitting them down. The server that came out of the kitchen is much harder working & much more pleasant.

The food is amazing we had it twice in 1 month, although it is a drive for us. It is definitely worth going to. How can you not say no to what I think is one of the best Ramen in CT. At least this is currently on top of my list. The service is excellent as well. Am ok with the blank space. I am there for the food and how clean it is and how the service regardless if it is full or not it is the same. Definitely a must.

This is a little place in a shopping mall that goes beyond your normal sushi and pho. It is ascetically modern without a lot of frills. I think that it is done on purpose so you focus on the food We started with the dumplings that were quite plumb and fried lightly with an amazing dribbled sauce over them. Very tasty. The pork banh bao buns were soft and fluffy for the buns and juicy and tender for the pork. Wow. Excellent. The sushi was fresh and imaginative. They had so many unique offerings to try. I had the blacken pho which was so satisfying. The broth was cooked for over 15 hours and resulting in a truly satisfying dish. Definitely will come back. It's BYOB so bring your favorite beverage. Our server was very attentive and happy to see you satisfied.

This place was recommended and was also highly spoken about. Now I see why ! Love that the menu has things labeled GF, place is small, clean and just cozy . I thought they were going to have more options of pho but they had a variety of dishes that covers everyone's needs , sushi, poke bowls, apps, GF, vegetarian and more. I had the Pho and Brisket and it was just perfect. Soo tender! It's just that time of year to have it! Flavorful and more than enough. There was many great variety of sushi to choose from. That actually was our app and shared some rolls. Would definitely come again if I'm In the area and would recommend this place!

All was as good as possible. The ramen, sushi and ap's were the best...far exceeding my expectations. I wish it were closer to where I live.

I normally like the tonkatsu but here I'd go with the soy based ramen which has a nice rich flavor. Generous portion of noodles. After seeing the menu, I decided to try their chicken katsu instead while my fiancé tried the beef ramen. We also got two medium bubble teas. Both drinks came out first. For mediums, they were pretty small (especially with a $7 price tag). I will say though, my creme brûlée oreo tea was incredible. I absolutely loved the flavor and the oreo in it. Still pricey but at least it was good. My fiancé ramen came out shortly after and we weren't too impressed. The beef broth was a muted color which looked more like miso. He said the noodles were sticky and pretty soft. I waited about 15 minutes until my chicken katsu came out (we were the only ones in there so it wasn't busy) and it looked promising... Good crunch but seems like chicken thighs were used as there was a good amount of fat in it. It quickly became kinda inedible because of how much sauce was covering the whole dish. I'm a sauce girly and love my condiments, but this was just so excessive. I asked for a box to go and maybe my fiancé will finish it later lol. The girl was so sweet and even offered MORE sauce to go, but i quickly declined. Overall, may be back for the teas if it's payday. Would not try the food again.

I simply cannot imagine ordering anything other than their Curry Ramen bowl from this point forward. Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams. Perfectly executed, temperature hot, unforgettably umami, and the exact drinkable curry broth viscosity that is no accident. This bowl is a champion, folks!

While I really was there for dessert, I could not pass up the hot oil fish carpaccio appetizer: delicately seared salmon with yuzu soy, ginger, garlic & micro cilantro. Delicate & delicious. The food was mediocre, the service was subpar, and the overall experience did not live up to what we expected from a fancy dining establishment. We came in during an off-peak hour on a weekday, so we were seated right away. However, the service was very slow. Our waitress took about 15 minutes to bring us the menu or even start attending to our table, even though he was only serving one other table at the time. We ordered chicken karaage and popcorn shrimp as appetizers, and both were very tasty. For the main course, we ordered ramen, All-Star Ramen, an eel roll, a soft-shell crab roll, and spicy Dan Dan noodles. Overall, the food was just okay. The noodles and sushi tasted fine, but nothing was particularly special or memorable. Unfortunately, we also had an unpleasant experience with our order. The waitress messed up our spicy Dan Dan noodle order and served us spicy tonkotsu ramen instead. After another 15 minutes, they were able to bring out the spicy Dan Dan noodles. However, the noodles were extremely tough and practically inedible. When we asked the waitress about the issue with the noodles, she became defensive and seemed to imply that the problem was on our end. He explained that the noodles were tough because they were not served with soup. Huh? Anyone familiar with cooking knows that noodles being excessively hard is usually a sign that they are undercooked, not because they aren't served with soup. Overall, we really wanted to like this place, but the mediocre food and disappointing service made the experience difficult to recommend. Given its reputation and the expectations that come with a famed Iron Chef restaurant, we expected much more.
