Piadina is so amazing, fresh and a must-try!! We have stopped in for dinner a few times when we are in the Tustin marketplace area. It's in a big parking area so super easy to park. It's back in the corner of the marketplace area. It is a mix of a panini and a wrap (ish) but so good. The ingredients are all super fresh and they have lots of vegetarian options with eggplant. I usually try something new to taste something different. Everything I have had has been amazing and makes me want to get one to go. If you need a quick lunch, this would be a great place to go!! I love sandwiches! This places is so good. The crispy flaky Italian bread they use makes the sandwich. It's not overwhelming of carbs. I've only tried the California one and I love it. I'll have to try few other options but this is usually my go to. They have chips that crispy and flavorful and not filled with half air like some other places. Give it a go you won't be sorry. read more

I go to Piadina about 2-3 times a month. I really enjoy their quality of food specifically their salads and sandwiches, however I keep having a reoccurring problem. Each time I order something to-go, there is always something missing from my order. I recently placed an order over the phone for two salads with avocado, kidney beans and olives. When I got home and looked at the salads, I realized that there was no avocado. When I ordered the food, I made sure that the man on the phone repeated my order to me to ensure it was correct. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal about something missing from my order, but this has been the forth time that it has happened. If you place a to-go order, I would make sure to check your bag before you leave. read more

I ordered for the first time today and was a bit disappointed. I chose the Genova sandwich. There is very minimal food for the high price. 2 slices of meat, a little bit of cheese and barely any veggies. For an $11 sandwich (no sides included!) I was expecting a lot more. What I got did taste good, but i don't think I would order again given you don't get much for the high price. read more

I have tried both the salads and sandwiches. Both are fairly good! All the ingredients taste fresh, the bread is thin and crunchy, and service is quick even during the lunch rush hour. You can watch them make your food right in front of you - from the bread cooking on the stove to putting all the toppings into your sandwich. They are generous with the meat/veggie portions they put inside as well! I tried to only eat half of my California sandwich today, but ended up eating the whole thing because it was so good. read more

Occasionally: between my poor decisions, drinking and gorging; I like to try to eat a little healthier. Enter: Piadina. I'll be the first to admit that I eat horribly. I also drink way too much. And I don't really take care of my body. So once in a while, when my body is on the verge of collapsing under my poor judgement, I'll come to Piadina to grab a delicious sandwich and feel rejuvenated. Embarrassingly, I forgot the name of the sandwich I get regularly, but its on their specials and its their sandwich that features a bunch of Mortadella. I usually add a generous heaping of Spicy Capicola. This sandwich allows me to eat a tasty meal containing layers and layers of meat without getting sweaty or greasy after. A rare win win combination that makes me feel good about myself and keeps my wife happy! I did knock one star because sadly, I do think the food is a tad expensive. This could be due to my regular diet of processed foods and garbage. I wish Piadina were a bit less expensive though... then I would likely eat here more often. read more

Oh Piadina, why couldn't I find you sooner? Oh geez, I didn't know what to order, so the register guy was so nice telling me the Roma is a good first timer sandwich. It had chicken, avocado, tomatoes, mozarella and spring mix lettuce inside it. I waited about 8 minutes for my order (just one person ahead of me), when I walked up to get it, I was suprised to see a half moon sandwich, it looked and smelled delicious! I also grabbed a Pellegrino Limonata and some sweet potato chips. Sat outside and devoured half my sandwich. I did have to pick out almost all my avocado because it was black - ick - maybe that's to standard for some establishments, but I do not like black avocado in my dishes. I was pretty satisfied with the half of the half moon but it just tasted so good, I completely polished it off. I cannot wait to return and try other ones on their menu. read more

I just don't understand the high ratings for this place. The sandwiches are mediocre at best! They are way overpriced! 15.84 for a skimpy sandwich, a bag of chips, and a small soda is too much. I won't be back. read more

I like the bread. It is cooked to order and grilled and light. Service is pretty fast. I enjoyed the California sandwich. A little too much pesto but it was good. The portion is pretty large. I would try something different. read more

I have been wanting to go to piadina for a while now, but was never truly in the mood for a sandwich when I'd pass by it. Today I went and I am overjoyed that I decided to go. I originally ordered the California sandwich but then realized I forgot to ask the cashier to change the meat from their chicken to the prosciutto. I asked the guy who was about to make the sandwich if he could switch it, and he politely accepted my request. Extremely flavorful too and the bread was amazing. The sandwiches are pretty filling especially depending on the one you get I assume. My sandwich had a lot of pesto, avocado, and prosciutto so I was pretty full from just eating half. I now believe that I will start craving Piadina due to how great the food and service was. Their charcuterie plates also look very good so maybe next time I'll try that. read more

This is a small Italian sandwich joint in the Irvine place at i5 and Jamboree . Great place. The food : sandwiches are amazing. There is: Subway two levels up: Jersey Mike and this one is 3 levels up above Jersey Mike. Very tasty, presentation is great too, prices : 1-2$ more than Subway and you get way better food. I'll rank this in the same box with G-Burger in terms of taste except those guys sell burgers. read more

I'm ADDICTED!!!! I'm slowly conquering eateries I haven't tried yet in the area. I first noticed Piadina when I had lunch at Mizu. I looked them up to see what they offered. This place is straight forward, no fuss no muss. I'm not a fan of the accessibility of both Market places so I came on a lazy Sunday around 4 both times LOL. I stay clear of these centers around lunch, unless I truly have to come through. So I come in and I'm greeted immediately. I look over the menu and I had two Piadina's picked out BUT! I'm a fan of asking employees what they enjoy best. She mentioned two and one of the two I chose was the Reggio. It had a weird sauce combo but my curiosity got the best of me. By the sounds of it, I wasn't sure to go with it but hey I'm a risk taker at times :p When you order, take a seat because it's not assembled in record speeds. So make yourself comfy for a few minutes and if you're in a rush, call it in! So food was ready and I noticed how big the box was. I don't live far so the food was still warm and fresh when I got home. I opened the box and I was like wow this thing is bigger than I expected, BOOOOONUS! I took a bite and I fell in love immediately. I love the bread! Not to doughy and not your typical tasting flatbread. It had a little crisp outer shell almost like a croissant. So the Reggio is stuffed with prosciutto, arugula , fresh mushrooms , mozzarella, tabasco and tarter sauce. Yes that's right tarter sauce LOL. See what I mean about being unsure about that combo. It sounds like a recipe for a tummy ache haha. Not true! Every thing works and pairs well. If I liked sharing food, I'd say you could just eat one half and set aside and offer the other half to someone else. But I'm greedy and I love leftovers so I'm not sharing :p The other half reheated quite well in the toaster oven. Sooooo good. I came back weeks later and couldn't resist and ordered the Reggio again :D It was actually better than the first and filled much more SCOOOOOOOORE!To the woman who made it this time around, thanks for the love :) Now I want a Piadina right now! I need to come with someone so I can order a different type, otherwise I'm going to keep ordering the Reggio LOL. Or order 2 and eat off the leftovers for a few days :p I'm glad I came across this place. Something I've never had before and I can't wait to have more :) read more

I was always a huge fan of the salads here! Well actually one salad in particular since it's the only thing I've ever tried...the Tonno Salad. But during my last visit, I noticed that in the short 2.5 weeks since my last visit, that the recipe changed slightly and they increased their price by $1.55. I know that price increases are inevitable due to inflation but such a huge increase in such a short amount of time is not cool!!! **Original recipe - Arugula, Romaine, Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Avocado, Tuna in Olive Oil, Dressing of Choice = $7.95 **New recipe - Arugula, Romaine, Grape Tomatoes, Red Onion, Mozzarella, Avocado, Imported Tuna in Olive Oil, Italian Dressing and a squeeze of fresh Lemon = $9.50 I'm not sure if it's because of the slight recipe change or the fact that the price increased by almost 20%, but my salad just didn't taste as good as the many times I had it before. I doubt I'll be coming back anytime soon. The other salads don't interest me much and the sandwiches were never really something I wanted to try. Their claim to fame is the "piadina" which is an Italian flatbread and what they use for their sandwiches. All the salads come with a few pieces of piadina and I was never a fan. In my opinion, they're tasteless and on the dry side. Piadina WAS my go-to place for a healthy meal but now sadly it's towards the bottom of my list. What would have been a 5-star Woohoo rating, has now been downgraded to a 3-star A-OK. read more

The food is great but the cashier/ lady who helped me has been very rude in three different occasions. I come to this place because I love the food. However, I wish this woman's behavior would meet the high standards of this restaurant. **Another sandwich shop?! Psshhhaaa Forewarning folks, I am NOT a fan of going out and BUYING sandwiches because why get something you can readily make yourself at home? What is so hard about getting good bread and slapping on some sauces and protein? I hate going to sandwhich shops unless it's to get Banh Mi. After trying this place though wow, they definitely changed my mind. Then why did we even step foot in this place to begin with you ask? The only reason that propels us into any place, COUPONS. They pulled us in with coupons and their ploy definitely worked. Their sandwiches are unlike any I've ever tried. Not only is it different, but they've managed to pulled it off with aplomb. Brava! You've made a Piadina lover out of me. Your bread is no regular bread but a flat yeastless dough pressed and grilled to a crisp. Then the delicious toppings are added. I love the Torino with truffle sauce the best. The only other one I've tried is the Francese, but it tasted too much like a normal sandwich but with a different bread. At least the torino had a different taste. The sandwich was $8 each, slightly pricey, but worth it considering I don't know of any other stores selling these. Plus, the ingredients taste amazing! We also got the pistachio gelato but I don't really recommend that. It did not taste like pistachio at all, more like Peanut butter?? PARKING: It's located near Mizu, the Melt etc. Turn onto El Camino and you'll see the row of restaurants. ATMOSPHERE: It's actually pretty small inside so I could imagine it will be crowded and hard to find seats on days a lot of people go. It's bright and modern inside, multi colored wooden chairs and tables as well. You order first then they call your name when your food is ready. FOOD: I got the California Sandwich, which has arugula, basil pesto, avocado and shaved sliced chicken (not chicken chunks) with cheese. The bread is almost like a thicker tortilla that is crispy on the outside but slightly chewy on the inside. I was hoping it would be more like naan (flaky, chewy, thicker) but it's more like a crispy tortilla. The inside was tasty, not overflowing so that it's hard to eat but perfectly spaced. The flavors were pretty good. It is enough for one person as they give you 2 fairly large halves. Overall though it didn't blow my mind, I think if the bread was to my liking I would have enjoyed it more. read more

Piadina is an Italian flatbread stuffed with cheese and other ingredients of your choice. I love bread and their bread is freshly made in front of you. It has the consistency of an Asian scallion pancake without the oil. It's soft but also crunchy. I tried: *Parma: Prosciutto, mozarella, mushrooms, arugula, tomatoes. Good but I would have liked a bit more cheese or a sauce *Roma: thinly sliced chicken, mozzarella, avocado, arugula, toasted almonds. This one was a bit bland for me. The almonds gave it a crunch but lacked flavor. They also have a craft soda fountain with local sodas made with pure cane sugar. I tried the berry one and Shirley temple and they were both good. $7.95 for each piadina is not bad. Or you can also create your own. Store is nicely decorated and the owner was there welcoming us and explaining their menu. Since the bread is freshly made, you may have to wait 10 mins for your food but it's worth it. Established in 2015.

From our roots in Perugia (in Central Italy) to our home in Southern California, Piadina embodies the best of Italian eating with a uniquely California state of mind. Our piadina journey began on a visit back home. After sampling and savoring many decadent local specialties, the true test for our enjoyment of a meal not only included how much we loved the flavor, but if we also felt good a few hours later. So when a good friend mentioned that a particular local piadina café had reinvented the classic with lighter ingredients while maintaining the rich flavor, we had to investigate. And after the first sandwich, we fell in love with it. Together with the owner of that shop, we began working to bring this "new traditional" Italian favorite to the US, complete with the secret recipes and proprietary equipment. It ended up being a good day at lunch and a great afternoon. The restaurant is located in an older strip mall, near the corner of Warner and Springdale. The mall had a lot of surface, uncovered spots, so parking wasn't a problem around lunch time. One orders and pays at the counter, and the sandwiches are brought out to you when dining in. The menu consists of both cold and hot sandwiches. There is a self serve ice water jug, along with a self-serve pickles (sliced kosher dills) and peppers (both pepperoncini and cascabella). It's a really nice touch and we took advantage. One thing that made me do a double take was the offer of $3 anytime pints of the house lager on tap. It was confirmed by the owner that it was correct, and each of us got a glass. Clover is the payment system used here, and was able to get a text with the bill. It took a bit of time for the sandwiches to come out. Our friend and I split two hot sandwiches. First being a Mock Ruben ($12.50) consisting of Corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut, and mustard on rye. I thought it was good, with a nice meld of flavors and well grilled/toasted bread (not a strong rye). Friend thought it was dry. We both agreed my sandwich was much better, Cousin Eddie ($14.25) consisting of pastrami, swiss, deli mustard, 1000 island, and pickled red cabbage. It came on a soft hoagie roll, and the flavors really melded together well. My wife got a Messi ($14.25), a roast beef with pepperjack with chimichurri and onions on ciabatta. Since my wife is not a fan of neither chimichurri and onions, I asked for it on the side, which was recorded that way on the bill. For some reason, a custom item charge of $0.75 was put on the bill (thinking it was for the side of chimichurri), and unfortunately there was chimichurri on the sandwich which my wife gamely tried to pick off. None of the sandwiches were large, nor were any of them stacked with that much meat. In fact I was able to eat half of each of the sandwiches, but for the price, I thought it was very reasonable. The pickle and pepper bar is a great idea, letting anybody add some zing to any sandwich. The service was friendly, as the owner genuinely seemed to care what we thought (though my wife didn't feel like complaining about the chimichurri). And the pints of the house blonde on tap was a bargain. They seem to have a pizza night on Thursday, and the beer would absolutely hit the spot then.

First off, I'd like to say I downloaded the Yelp application just so I could comment on how much I loved Piadina. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the cashier. She was as patient and had a pleasant expression when talking to me. I then watched a manager I assume, place a Piadina (italian flatbread) on the stove in order to melt the mozzarella. Within a few minutes it was placed on the area where the ingredients are. Not to mention there are glass windows so you see yojr sandwhich being made right before you. Despite being busy, the employee made conversation with me and asked me how my day was. I admired her ability to multi-task as she made my sandwich! I asked for extra tomatoes even though I forgot to tell the cashier, and she politely accepted my request and even made sure to ask if there were enough tomatoes. As she put my sandwich in a slip cover, then on my tray, I asked her for her name, to which she replied with "My name is Andrea!", with a polite smile. Kudos to you, Andrea, for making my delicious sandwich in a timely manner. I'd also like to comment on the teamwork I saw during my visit. I didn't fail to notice how quickly, yet effectively everyone was working, even though they had a dining are full of people and a long line. Although this was my first visit to Piadina, it'll be the first of many! Summary: Superior customer service, timely yet effective sandwich process, and delicious/fresh ingredients! This place was okay, I came in around 1 pm and i was standing at the register waiting to be helped. There was only one person visible and she kept cleaning trays but never looked up to see if someone was at the register. I had to say "hello?" to get her attention. She said "oh!" and laughed nervously so I could tell she was new. She was really slow at being Cashier which I understand since she is new but still. I ordered a California with no tomatoes and she never asked me if it was for here or to go. I believe her name is Natalie if I remember correctly, so yeah. I don't mean to call her out but I feel it is necessary. Anyway, when the other girl was making my sandwich, she had put it on a tray indicating that it was for here. I told her it was to go and she apologized and put it in a box for me and explained to me that the ticket marked the order for here. I assume it was because the cashier didn't ask me whether it was for there or to go. I just wish the cashier were more attentive to small but important details like those, which would make the experience much better. I've used this service twice now. Once for a large group of crazy women wine tasting and most recently for a more relaxed three person driver service for wine tasting. I book limo services frequently and Matty's limo service has proven to be organized, on-time and with no hidden charges. What is quoted is what is charged and they are very clear that you tip the driver separate. None of this "minimum driver tip" included in your fee and you feel obligated to pay a cash tip on top of what was added to your bill. In both my occasions it was a casual, hot day in temecula, so drivers were very casually dressed (was okay by me), however, if you want a certain dress code for your driver, I'd suggest you tell them upfront. Hate for you to expect a driver in a suit and tie who shows up in shorts. I am sure they are a good option for any occasion. I found out they are stationed in OC, so that's better for me, because I thought they were stationed in temecula and primarily did wine tasting. read more

I had the #10 Franchese sandwich - I think that's how you spell it - with basil pesto as suggested by the handsome tall gentleman named Karim at the cashier he was OUTSTANDING, charismatic, extremely helpful and very articulate he definitely knew what he's talking about and made me feel like I was at home. At first I wasn't up for a soda because hubby and I had some Jamba Juice but the gentleman explained how the drinks were unique and we ended up getting one, WOW they were to die for he was right!!! Piadina is beyond spectacular! After ordering, I watched my piadina being placed on the stove by Santiago, and watched as the cheese melted away. I was running late to a meeting as I am a CEO, but Andrea made my sandwich pretty quickly! She she was super helpful because I had originally asked for no arugala but she let me know that there was spinach, romaine, and kale, which I didn't know about. So I was glad to find out that I could switch arugala for spinach! -- As a slight recommendation, I suggest the person that takes the orders ask the customer if we would like to substitute any ingredient for another, that would be super helpful! My girl and I just discovered this hidden gem, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! The staff is ridiculously polite (like, we-feel-guilty-for-not-tipping-enough polite), and the food? Hidden in the back of a liquor store is this unassuming empanada shop. I ordered the spicy beef,…read morenortena (filled with potatoes), and spinach ricotta. They were $3 each, which was a great price. Each empanada was stuffed with delicious fillings. My favorite was definitely the spicy beef since it had so much flavor. I also enjoyed the spicy chimmichuri sauce they came with. Overall, a hidden gem!
