Came here for their happy hour. Everything was delicious minus the fried chicken. We tasted the garlic Parmesan and the spicy honey, both were over fried so unpleasant to enjoy. I had to request the Caesar salad be switched since they only game me the butts of the romaine vs the front green half. The fries were delish, especially the sauce! The shrimp was a bit too lemony and the muscles were great if you enjoy a tomato based sauce. However everything else was still enjoyable (minus the chicken). And the waitress was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The ambiance is nice there are TV's to watch games and etc. and enjoy the decor and music playing in the background. Overall I do recommend. And great photo opps right outside.

Girls night out happy hour: pam took amazing care of us; to include 8 of us deciding on drinks and food from the Piatti menu, happy hour menu and restaurant week menu choices. She checked on often and made sure every beverage and plate were perfect. Manager also stopped by a couple times and even grabbed empty plates. Drinks were perfectly crafted and creative. Try the piatti spritz for a fun and refreshing burst of flavor. The food was amazing! From great crusty bread with dipping oil to short ribs, to shrimp scampi, to pizza, to cesar salad (complete with anchovies), to zucchini noodles and more. Absolute perfection in each dish. French press coffee was beautifully presented. The bar was lovely, lots of natural light and very pleasant for lively conversation. Valet available, plenty of parking.

We've been to this location once couple years ago, also to the Quarry location as well. We celebrated my brothers 13th birthday dinner & everything was great It was a Saturday around 4pm so not crowded, I was able to get a reservation days before for a table of 10. Love the happy hour on the weekends! Food: 8.5/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10

The setting is nice in the LaCantera area. The food was just okay. I wasn't that impressed and felt I'd get the same taste at Olive Garden. The service was great and the waiters and waitresses were superb. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer which was on a huge piece of bread, mussels and ciopinno for dinner. We've had it better at other places and I have made better mussels and ciopinno. We've ended with the tiramisu which was a huge fail in my opinion. For the price of the food and the taste I won't be back. It was great to give it a try though. I've been all over Europe and have had actual Italian food and this isn't it. Take a tip from me: if it has any kind of Alfredo on the menu either pass or have 0 expectations as it's not real Italian.

Decided during vacation that I was in the mood for some Italian food this past Sunday night, not just any Italian food but authentic, homemade Italian. So I looked up the best pappardelle pasta in the area, and this place popped up. So, I made an online order. I ended up getting 2 items, Short Rib sugo and Spicy Pepperoni Flatbread. Everything tasted and looked homemade. The first bite I took of that Short Rib sugo, it melted in my mouth almost instantly. The pappardelle was a perfect al dente. Some of the pasta was stuck together because it was in a togo container, which is understandable. If I was able to eat there in person, the pasta would be that much better. The spicy Pepperoni Flatbread had that perfect amount of spice. It's not in the Pepperoni but in their marinara sauce. Both items were so good. The service was amazing all around, from the host to the manager, and it wasn't even busy. Next time I'm in San Antonio, I'll come eat there in person. I will definitely be back.

Came here for a drink and a snack one night. I liked the pepperoni flatbread more than the margarita and the espresso martini was okay.

Looking for a delicious Italian restaurant that would shock my boyfriend for my birthday, and when we walked in the large clean elegant space was surprising. The servers all greeted us kindly and talked about menu options and were very attentive and friendly. When we ordered, I wanted to support the culinari restaurant week so I decided on a 3 course meal which included rigotoni pork saltimbucca andbyhe tiramisu. Un pictured my boyfriend got lasagna which only had one noodle layin on the bottom which was pretty depressing as well as a light layer on ricotta only. But the bread and olive oil was delicious. It's an appetizer for $4 and I HIGHLY recommend the dipping oil was my favorite part of the meal by far!

GOOD! Service was good. Food was good, but on the expensive side. We started with meatballs and they were very dense, but the sauce was very good. Caesar salad was very good. We asked for no whole anchovies on the top. Lasagna was very flavorful and seasoned well. Eggplant parmigiana was crispy, but a little tough. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was pretty good. Good wine.

Took my son here for his birthday dinner and was highly disappointed. The food was ok, not the best. The service is what really upset me. It was Sunday afternoon, we had reservations and the restaurant was not busy. Our waitress was MIA for most of our time. All the waitstaff was congregated over by the bar. We had to wave down another waiter to help get refills. My bill was pricey for 5 of us which would of been ok but not for what we received. Ever since the remodel this place seems to have gone down hill. I must say I had been here before the remodel and it used to be one of my favorite Italian spots. This is why I recommended it to my son who had never been. Never again.

We came here on a Friday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had reservations, but still had to wait a little longer than I would expect. It was very busy, so nothing to be upset about. We valeted at the main hotel valet which was not complimentary. There was complimentary valet right next to the restaurant which we did not know existed prior to arriving. There is also a small parking garage that I is free during the week, but not sure on the weekend. Our reservations said that it was my wife's birthday and they had a menu that said "Happy Birthday!" On it, but I think it was the normal menu. We started with the beef carpaccio which was a very generous portion for two people. My wife got the chicken puttanesca and I got the short rib. Both were great and more than enough to take home left overs. We ended with tiramisu which was also delicious. Our server was great and very attentive. She wished my wife a happy birthday multiple times. The restaurant is kind of small with a small outdoor area. The noise level was a little loud, but not too bad that we couldn't have a conversation.

Thankfully the manager has it removed due to his mistake. When it came to getting sat, at 45 min I went to ask for an update and they had the nerve to tell me it was going to be another 45 min!! I was like heck no! I'm pregnant and there wasn't as many people when we first arrived. There were way more people waiting now. The hostess apologized said they had a large reservation but will make sure we get sat in 10-15 min. Good thing I checked. Then when we got sat (family of 6), we were sat right under the AC and it was freezing cold. Thankfully they turned it down some for us. I was also disappointed that most of their dishes do not come with veggies, you need to order it separately. And they don't allow you to sub broccoli for the green beans with the kids. Also extremely disappointed in their to go boxes being styrofoam! As much as you pay to eat here they can't offer better quality to go boxes. Styrofoam is banned in most other countries bc of the toxicity ‍ and I asked for some parchment paper and look what they gave me! Overall though the food was good minutes the mistakes and cold temperatures.

We could talk comfortably at a normal volume, which already put this place ahead of a lot of spots on a weekend night. Service set the tone immediately. Our server, Mario, was excellent. Kind, professional, attentive without hovering, and his recommendations were spot on. On top of that, the entire staff signed an anniversary card for us, which was a genuinely thoughtful touch. The manager, whose name I unfortunately did not catch, stopped by our table, congratulated us, and treated us to a dessert and two glasses of champagne on the house. That kind of hospitality is rare and it mattered. We started with the deviled eggs. They were overfilled in the best way and topped with maple bacon that complemented them perfectly. We also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. It was not overly creamy, had small chunks of clam, and was well seasoned. All it needed was a little black pepper, which is an easy fix. For entrées, my wife ordered the redfish and I had the Maui steak. The redfish was fresh and cooked perfectly, not dry at all, finished with a light lemony butter sauce. The couscous was properly cooked and well seasoned, not bland, and the asparagus had a subtle grilled, almost barbecue-like flavor that worked really well. My Maui steak was a 16-ounce boneless ribeye in a tangy marinade with hints of garlic and pineapple. The balance was excellent. Tender, juicy, and cooked a true medium rare. It came with smashed potatoes that were creamy and smooth without being thick or dry. Exactly how they should be. Dessert sealed it. The carrot cake was outstanding. Warm, soft, moist, not overly sweet, with fine shreds of carrot and nuts throughout. Honestly, it is arguably the best carrot cake I have ever had. Overall, this was a great experience. Service was top-notch. The manager makes regular rounds to check on tables, which shows real leadership. There are cards at the front listing the manager, assistant manager, and chefs by name, which signals pride and accountability. The only downside is the interior lighting. It is slightly dim and takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. That said, the staff more than makes up for it with warmth and professionalism. Big thanks to the entire team, and congrats to Mario on his engagement. We will absolutely be back.

I tried something of the specials menu...steak fillet, crab cake and mashed potatoes. In my experience, Restaurant Week dishes were normally smaller portions, but not at Southerleigh! We ordered 3 Dinners and had enough for another two meals, and every bite was incredible. Chicken Cracklins: How these were not in a pool of grease and were perfectly crispy and seasoned was impressive but not a surprise, because Southerleigh knows how to fry chicken! Deviled Eggs: They're the devil because I could eat 12 of them and have no regrets. Creamy, nice bit of bacon on top, and absolutely delicious. Fried Pickles (GF): Y'all. I've never had fried pickles like these before. Perfectly crispy and not even a little greasy. Ranch was delicious, special sauce excellent. I could eat those fried pickles every day - my doctor would love it. Half Chicken (GF): Outstanding. I'm forever amazed but how good this GF chicken is. Unreal. 10/10. Chicken Wings: Fried Catfish: If you have a friend whose faces squishes up in disgust when you suggest fried catfish, take them here and get them this fish. Remoulade was perfect. But the crust on that fry and how light it was + how non-greasy or heavy that fried catfish was...there are no words. I could have eaten that catfish all day. What a treat! Top it off with great, friendly service amidst being sat with multiple tables at once, a wonderfully clean restaurant, and just another top notch experience, and I have decided that I'll need to bar myself from Southerleigh for a minute because I can only buy so many new pairs of bigger pants. The listening bar concept paired with their state-of-the-art custom sound system makes the atmosphere feel immersive from the second you walk in. The music, lighting, and outstanding service all work together perfectly when you're trying to unwind and decompress after a long week. The lychee martini was smooth, refreshing, and extremely lychee forward. I really enjoyed how they garnished the drink with two whole lychees. I was in heaven and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite cocktails I've had in the city (Thanks for the recommendation Annabelle). Food-wise, everything felt elevated and pieced together beautifully on each plate. The truffle creamy miso soup was warm & comforting with just the right amount of depth and the Asian pear cucumber salad was perfect to cleanse the palate after the soup. The Hawaiian ono was another standout that absolutely delivered. That cilantro oil and the yuzu dance together well with the soft & silky ono. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo, it also has cilantro oil but this time with ponzu foam. This combination was so good that I absolutely had no shame sipping the married liquid components on the plate between each bite of scallop. Lastly, the wagyu mochi gnocchi is unreal--rich, melt in your mouth mochi gnocchi, savory shrimp and tender wagyu, and this velvety sauce that's semi addicting. This surf-and-turf style dish with seafood and wagyu is where Yozora really flexes; every bite felt balanced, indulgent, and beautifully plated. (This particular evening the sauce on the mochi gnocchi was a touch spicier for me than the first time I visited but I enjoyed every last bite nonetheless). I went a little ham and didn't have room for dessert this time unfortunately. Next time Huge shoutout to my server Annabelle, who made the entire night seamless. My water never even got close to empty, her recommendations were spot on, and she somehow balanced taking care of the bar while still making her tables feel attended to. The rest of the staff even tag teamed service throughout the dining room which I always enjoy seeing. It says a lot about how well the staff and overall concept works together there. Symphony for the soul. Thank you again Annabelle and team for making the whole evening easy to enjoy and adding so much to the experience. Yozora absolutely lives up to the hype. Add it to your list of spots to keep coming back for.
