Our waiter was Michael and he did wonderful with our group, great suggestions from our drinks, to menu items and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was assigned to work with KIMBERLY WEBB, their so-called event coordinator. Let me be clear -- KIMBERLY WEBB IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT and has NO BUSINESS coordinating anything, let alone events for paying customers. For OVER A MONTH, we went back and forth planning this event. She barely responded to emails or texts, made everything unnecessarily difficult, and somehow dragged out what should've been a simple dinner reservation into a mess of confusion. She sent me a PRIVATE DINING MENU -- clearly labeled "FONTANA ROOM" -- and I selected a full custom menu that was DOUBLE THE PRICE of their normal menu. DOUBLE. Why? Because it was supposed to be a PRIVATE EVENT. A few days before the dinner, I texted KIMBERLY WEBB to confirm everything and she had the AUDACITY to respond, "WHO IS THIS?" Are you joking? After weeks of planning, she acted like we had never spoken. Day of the event -- I arrive, tell the hostess we have a private dinner booked. She looks at me confused. Turns out WE WERE NEVER BOOKED FOR THE PRIVATE ROOM. There was ANOTHER party already seated there. The manager tries calling KIMBERLY WEBB -- SHOCKER -- she doesn't answer. She was UNREACHABLE on the day of the event. And guess what? The A/C WASN'T WORKING either, even though KIMBERLY WEBB told me directly that it was. It was miserable and hot inside. Instead of a private room, we were sat in the MAIN DINING AREA -- just like any walk-in customer. No privacy. No special setup. NOTHING. So what did I plan and pay DOUBLE for? Why did I spend hours customizing a menu if we were going to be seated like regular guests? Let's talk about the $250 extra hour charge she quoted me -- WERE WE GOING TO BE CHARGED THAT FOR SITTING IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM TOO? This entire process was MISLEADING, UNPROFESSIONAL, and FLAT-OUT DECEPTIVE. KIMBERLY WEBB CLEARLY DOUBLE-BOOKED THE ROOM and instead of owning her mistake, she GHOSTED us. Her lack of communication, accountability, and basic competence RUINED what was supposed to be a special occasion. PIATTIS AND KIMBERLY WEBB SCAMMED US. We were lied to. We were overcharged. Went on a Friday night and recommend to make reservations! Great selection on food, we had the bread with garlic olive oil and that was filled with garlic so delicious! We also ordered the meatballs and the sauce and cheese on it was melting in my mouth. We shared a dish which was the salmon over a bead of beans, unique and had good flavor. read more

A/C does not work! I don't think it's just the restaurant but the side of the Elian. Fans had air circulating but was not enough. Good service and food was great but waitress seemed a little annoyed that I kept asking for fans as we had a pregnant woman in our party that was super uncomfortable. Went here for graduation celebration with the family. The service was fast and outstanding! The menu was customized with "Congratulations Elizabeth! We are so proud of you!" Printed for special occasions at no extra cost & we got to keep the menu. Appetizer was delicious, we ordered meatballs and fritto Misto (fried calamari). Meatball tasted very homemade and traditional. Entrees we ordered were all delicious but I only had the chance to get 3 photos. The chicken Alfredo lumache didn't taste too heavy and had a refreshing taste with the lemon flavoring the chef added. Husband has the prawn spaghetti, a popular pick from the menu. He loved it. Shrimp cooked perfectly, pasta was al dente with a good sauce, not too salty. Lasagna came in a piping hot skillet. Perfectly cooked pasta, good amount of meat and creamy cheese! The Cioppino (fish/seafood stew) with the bread was delicious as well, dad's only complaint was it was a bit too sour and tomato flavor is strong. Others ordered the Chicken mattone, Salmon piccata, & Short rib sugo. Portion sizes are decent, a little small. But if you eat a lot of pasta, you know it can be very filling! My family was terribly disappointed with our whole experience at Piatti at Eilan this evening. We arrived just 10 minutes before our reservation. The restaurant was not crowded for a Saturday night. We waited for out table approximately 10 minutes after our reservation time. Finally seated, we ordered an appetizer and drinks. The waitress was sweet and very helpful but we were very dissatisfied with everything else about the restaurant. We waited just under one hour after ordering for our meals to arrive. We received an apology from the waitress for the lateness and she let us know that she did let the manager know The manager never graced our table to welcome us or to apologize. This was a special occasion, celebrating our daughter's promotion as noted on our online reservation but nothing was said and instead, was treated very poorly. Before leaving the restaurant, I stopped in the restroom and found no soap in the dispenser and the sink stopped up. In the past, we very much enjoyed Piatti and was looking forward to taking our two daughters to celebrate. We will not return to this restaurant again. read more

Been here now 5 times and we just love it. Good vibe/ decor. I usually make a high top reservation for 2 so we don't have to wait but the area is cute, so hanging out by the fountain is nice too. This place is probably the fanciest romantic,dark, and candle lit Italian restaurant in town. It would make a perfect date night spot. The bruschetta was refreshing and yet light enough for an appetizer. I got the penne pasta with pesto which was a flavorful bance of tangy and hearty. I had enough for leftovers. I also tried my friend's spaghetti, which had a distinct taste to the sauce that I can't quite put a name to but it was nevertheless tasty. We love this place SO much. We had our wedding reception dinner in their private room over a year ago, then they underwent renovation's for a few months. When they returned the restaurant didn't look super different but their menu did!!! They upgraded everything, but kept a few originals and l am here for it! We love Piatti's even more now. We finally returned to the La Cantera/Rim area Piatti after being away over a year to see the results of their remodel and new menu. We made reservations through OpenTable and got seated fairly promptly. The place is warm and cozy if a little dark (but not in a bad way). The staff seemed friendly and eager to do their best from hostess, to waiter, to servers. We started with a white bean soup and hearts of romaine salad. Both were excellent but my wife wished she knew the soup was a decidedly tomato broth, nevertheless it was very good. The salad was top notch and included finely sliced green apple. We decided not to risk new entrees based on some reviews and stuck with two items they kept from before - the sweet potato encrusted trout and the pollo mattone with brocollini. Both dishes were perfectly prepared, but there was a little bit of a wait. We think perhaps our waiter didn't get the order in timely manner but it allowed my wife to request a gluten free pasta at the last minute which they delivered on. We both thought the food was very good and our table service was just right. All in all a great experience and Piatti is back in our rotation list. read more

Let's get straight to the point here. The cioppino was completely overcooked. All of the seafood in it from the clams, mussels, shrimp and fish were thoroughly overdone. Also, when I order cioppino I don't expect to get a $2 slab of overcooked rubbery tilapia (trash fish) when I fork over $32 for the dish. The margin on this dish for effort, quality and ingredients is robbery. I've had beautifully done cioppino at the Quarry location and was looking forward to this dish and it fell completely flat. The only reason this doesn't get 1 star is because the service was decent and the appetizers were reasonably good. But whoever is calling whatever that is cioppino should not be sleeping well at night. read more

Was excited to hear that they reopened. The very modern updates and mostly newer menu items were a pleasant surprise. We all enjoyed our dishes and the service was excellent. The tables seems a little close together, as it appeared the staff was struggling getting around each other while walking to and by tables at the same time, seems a little snug but otherwise the updates fit in nicely with the location. We migrated to this hidden gem on a Sunday evening, post music-assault up the stairs at George's Keep. We dined outside at a lovely table in the early evening sunset, enjoying drinks (Italian mojitos!) and sharing two entrees: the pesto chicken and the lemon cream ravioli (spinach and ricotta stuffed). The ravioli was stunningly delicious, absolutely hands down the best pasta dish I have had in San Antonino (and I do love pasta and eat it as often as I can). This dish will inhabit my dreams, and I will crave it in the future ... truly a knockout entree if ravioli, lemon, and cream are your thing. Our service was also outstanding. We ordered a lovely meal from here tonight. My husband got the meat pizza (no olives of course) and I got the rigatoni which was fabulous with Italian sausage, roasted tomatoes and goat cheese. We also got the chocolate ganache cake and tiramisu for dessert. We even heated up the chocolate ganache cake slightly and broke out a bottle of Malbec to pair with it--it was heaven!! Upon moving tables, we had another server and he was very professional, but not as quirky. Either way, it was fine. We order the Chardonnay Piatti and plain ol' Ultra. Both were good. The Ultra comes in a can but they will happily put it in a cold glass with a lime on the side if need be. Yes please! We had Bruschetta and the spinach ravioli... both were perfection... !!!!
