Came here for their happy hour. Everything was delicious minus the fried chicken. We tasted the garlic Parmesan and the spicy honey, both were over fried so unpleasant to enjoy. I had to request the Caesar salad be switched since they only game me the butts of the romaine vs the front green half. The fries were delish, especially the sauce! The shrimp was a bit too lemony and the muscles were great if you enjoy a tomato based sauce. However everything else was still enjoyable (minus the chicken). And the waitress was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The ambiance is nice there are TV's to watch games and etc. and enjoy the decor and music playing in the background. Overall I do recommend. And great photo opps right outside.

Girls night out happy hour: pam took amazing care of us; to include 8 of us deciding on drinks and food from the Piatti menu, happy hour menu and restaurant week menu choices. She checked on often and made sure every beverage and plate were perfect. Manager also stopped by a couple times and even grabbed empty plates. Drinks were perfectly crafted and creative. Try the piatti spritz for a fun and refreshing burst of flavor. The food was amazing! From great crusty bread with dipping oil to short ribs, to shrimp scampi, to pizza, to cesar salad (complete with anchovies), to zucchini noodles and more. Absolute perfection in each dish. French press coffee was beautifully presented. The bar was lovely, lots of natural light and very pleasant for lively conversation. Valet available, plenty of parking.

We had the most amazing lunch/dinner with incredible drinks, burgers, and fries. The food was superb, and what made the experience next level was our incredible server, John. He was so attentive, kind and made the best recommendations! I cannot more highly recommend an establishment!

We've been to this location once couple years ago, also to the Quarry location as well. We celebrated my brothers 13th birthday dinner & everything was great It was a Saturday around 4pm so not crowded, I was able to get a reservation days before for a table of 10. Love the happy hour on the weekends! Food: 8.5/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10

The setting is nice in the LaCantera area. The food was just okay. I wasn't that impressed and felt I'd get the same taste at Olive Garden. The service was great and the waiters and waitresses were superb. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer which was on a huge piece of bread, mussels and ciopinno for dinner. We've had it better at other places and I have made better mussels and ciopinno. We've ended with the tiramisu which was a huge fail in my opinion. For the price of the food and the taste I won't be back. It was great to give it a try though. I've been all over Europe and have had actual Italian food and this isn't it. Take a tip from me: if it has any kind of Alfredo on the menu either pass or have 0 expectations as it's not real Italian.

Decided during vacation that I was in the mood for some Italian food this past Sunday night, not just any Italian food but authentic, homemade Italian. So I looked up the best pappardelle pasta in the area, and this place popped up. So, I made an online order. I ended up getting 2 items, Short Rib sugo and Spicy Pepperoni Flatbread. Everything tasted and looked homemade. The first bite I took of that Short Rib sugo, it melted in my mouth almost instantly. The pappardelle was a perfect al dente. Some of the pasta was stuck together because it was in a togo container, which is understandable. If I was able to eat there in person, the pasta would be that much better. The spicy Pepperoni Flatbread had that perfect amount of spice. It's not in the Pepperoni but in their marinara sauce. Both items were so good. The service was amazing all around, from the host to the manager, and it wasn't even busy. Next time I'm in San Antonio, I'll come eat there in person. I will definitely be back.

Came here for a drink and a snack one night. I liked the pepperoni flatbread more than the margarita and the espresso martini was okay.

It was our fault for not interpreting the menu correctly. Absolutely nothing on the restaurant. We thought we were getting fish that had sauce on it - our bad. Thankfully the manager has it removed due to his mistake. When it came to getting sat, at 45 min I went to ask for an update and they had the nerve to tell me it was going to be another 45 min!! I was like heck no! I'm pregnant and there wasn't as many people when we first arrived. There were way more people waiting now. The hostess apologized said they had a large reservation but will make sure we get sat in 10-15 min. Good thing I checked. Then when we got sat (family of 6), we were sat right under the AC and it was freezing cold. Thankfully they turned it down some for us. I was also disappointed that most of their dishes do not come with veggies, you need to order it separately. And they don't allow you to sub broccoli for the green beans with the kids. Also extremely disappointed in their to go boxes being styrofoam! As much as you pay to eat here they can't offer better quality to go boxes. Styrofoam is banned in most other countries bc of the toxicity ‍ and I asked for some parchment paper and look what they gave me! Overall though the food was good minutes the mistakes and cold temperatures.

We could talk comfortably at a normal volume, which already put this place ahead of a lot of spots on a weekend night. Service set the tone immediately. Our server, Mario, was excellent. Kind, professional, attentive without hovering, and his recommendations were spot on. On top of that, the entire staff signed an anniversary card for us, which was a genuinely thoughtful touch. The manager, whose name I unfortunately did not catch, stopped by our table, congratulated us, and treated us to a dessert and two glasses of champagne on the house. That kind of hospitality is rare and it mattered. We started with the deviled eggs. They were overfilled in the best way and topped with maple bacon that complemented them perfectly. We also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. It was not overly creamy, had small chunks of clam, and was well seasoned. All it needed was a little black pepper, which is an easy fix. For entrées, my wife ordered the redfish and I had the Maui steak. The redfish was fresh and cooked perfectly, not dry at all, finished with a light lemony butter sauce. The couscous was properly cooked and well seasoned, not bland, and the asparagus had a subtle grilled, almost barbecue-like flavor that worked really well. My Maui steak was a 16-ounce boneless ribeye in a tangy marinade with hints of garlic and pineapple. The balance was excellent. Tender, juicy, and cooked a true medium rare. It came with smashed potatoes that were creamy and smooth without being thick or dry. Exactly how they should be. Dessert sealed it. The carrot cake was outstanding. Warm, soft, moist, not overly sweet, with fine shreds of carrot and nuts throughout. Honestly, it is arguably the best carrot cake I have ever had. Overall, this was a great experience. Service was top-notch. The manager makes regular rounds to check on tables, which shows real leadership. There are cards at the front listing the manager, assistant manager, and chefs by name, which signals pride and accountability. The only downside is the interior lighting. It is slightly dim and takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. That said, the staff more than makes up for it with warmth and professionalism. Big thanks to the entire team, and congrats to Mario on his engagement. We will absolutely be back.

I made a reservation well in advance for a party of 15, hoping to enjoy a special evening with family and friends. Unfortunately, from the moment we were seated, everything went downhill. Service was incredibly slow. It took nearly 20 minutes just to receive our first round of drinks, and over an hour for our food to arrive. Throughout the evening, our server was dismissive and repeatedly responded with comments like, "Well, you got to wait," often accompanied by unpleasant facial expressions. When the food finally arrived, the hot dishes were cold, the flavors were disappointing, and the seafood tasted far from fresh--it seemed like it had been thawed and served immediately. Every single person in our group commented on how underwhelming the food was. We continued ordering drinks throughout the night, but each round took another 20-30 minutes to arrive. On several occasions, our orders were forgotten entirely, and we had to ask the manager to get them. To make matters worse, the bill was inaccurate. We were charged for drinks that no one ordered, including some that never even made it to our table. The check also included both an automatic gratuity and an additional tip, which had to be corrected. The final disappointment involved my birthday cake. I brought my own cake, and the staff stored it in their refrigerator when we arrived. When it was time to bring it out, I had to ask three separate times, and it still took about 20 minutes. By then, several of my guests had already left, so they never got to celebrate or enjoy the cake. It completely took away from what should have been a memorable birthday moment. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had. Between the extremely slow service, poor attitude, inaccurate bill, and disappointing food, this restaurant is simply not worth the time or money. I cannot recommend it.

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.
