Finally able to make it over and try this place out.... I really like the atmosphere. You don't feel like you're even in San Antonio. The staff was very friendly. Greeted you with a smile. We sat outside. It was a gorgeous afternoon/evening.... The meatball appetizer was amazing. I could've had an entire plate of those. :-) My friend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. I had a small bite and loved it. She ordered a small. It was the perfect size. My hubby ordered the Alla Mattone . It was amazing. The flavor and seasoning was on point. I ordered the Cannelloni. Dang, I love love love this place. It is on the more expensive side, but it is delicious. All the noodles are made from scratch and you can definitely tell! The chicken is huge! The fish was lemony, and the bolognese was amazing! I also got the cheese platter and that was pretty unique. I really enjoyed the free bread and oil. The oil was so good. I would go back for just that. My friends and I finished two baskets of bread. If you order the bottle of wine, they continuously serve you the bottle from your table. It's quite nice. read more

Hubby and I enjoyed the spinach ravioli, half roasted chicken with deliciously fresh Seasonal veggies of peels, asparagus and snap peas.. The spinach ravioli was fluffy, light and full of stuffing and the sauce was amazing. I enjoyed the red blend and the margarita was made perfectly. It was my birthday so Martha brought out a lighter with my cake to go so I could have sweet memories before I left. The chocolate ganache cake is rich, moist, full of flavor, rich but not too dense and I'm sure I'll enjoy the leftovers at home. The half chicken is well worth it for price, quantity and flavor. We dined at the restaurant and the food was great and so was the service. The big surprise came at the end of the meal when we were presented our bill. What was this "3% surcharge"? Our waiter explained the company was out of California and offered the menu with an explanation. Who gets the surcharge? The company does for having to pay for extra wages and benefits. What?! Had the worst experience ever trying to celebrate my 2 years anniversary. The staff was very inappropriate and the manager tried to make things better by comping some of the food on the ticket. The waitress then came by and said not to expect this treatment in the future because the manager is new and doesn't know better. We wanted pizza on a Thursday night and called down to Piatti's! We put our to-go order in and went down after about 20 minutes when they said it's be ready. They said oh just wait a little longer...20 minutes go by and nothing. Finally we came to find out the hostess never put our order in. We were pissed...and canceled our order. The manager and hostess didn't seem to care too much. We thought maybe we'd try them out again Friday night and were much more pleased with the service. Our waitress was very nice! We had a bottle of wine, the mussels in the red sauce for an appetizer was delicious! We got the ciabatta bread and dipped it in the leftover sauce! We had rigatoni and pesto pasta for dinner and both were tasty. Capped off with tiramisu for dessert. Overall had a better experience dining in. read more

Although I've never actually been to Piatti, due to COVID this has turned into one of our new go-to delivery restaurants. They use high quality ingredients and it makes all of the difference. We've probably ordered from here 4 times now and nothing has ever been bad. Everything gets delivered and it is so fresh. The leftovers reheat really well so we never end up having any thing go to waste. Each time we have gotten the bruschetta, alfredo and bread. Bruschetta is sooo good. SO fresh. The toasted bread comes with pesto, a lot of the tomato/garlic/basil combo and extra basil. The chicken alfredo is on the small size, so make sure to order the full. It's well worth the extra $5 to get twice the amount. The fresh bread is well worth ordering, its delicious! Most recently we ordered their meat pizza (no olives) and it was a hit. Lots of meat with good mozzarella. We will definitely be ordering it again. Pricing is high but with the quality of ingredients and consistently delicious food I have no problems ordering from here over and over. read more

We have been going to this place for 15 years, usually sitting at the bar for pizza after a Regal theater movie. This year, we decided to try their Christmas Eve specials. This review will focus on two aspects of our visit. The salmon was excellent, the seafood entree was OK, but the veal ravioli was a complete disaster. You got about six 1 1/2 inch pieces of ravioli with an extremely salty thin brown gravy with some kind of fancy name that it sure didn't deserve. The small ravioli pieces were filled with some kind of ground mushy meat filling that had absolutely no flavor. To add insult to injury, the price for this dish was $18. This is an easy fix for the chef, otherwise they will keep getting complaints, I have no doubt about that. My next complaint is one that takes a little bit more work. it is the booth seating. The distance between the top of the seat to the top of the table is 15-16 inches resulting in your chin almost resting on the table, unless you play for the NBA. The proper distance should not be over 11-12 inches at the most. This is a common complaint of many restaurants with the same booth problem. Fix it and you will have many happy booth diners. The next time we go back there, and we will many more times in the future, we will sit at the bar and order their great pizza. read more

Upon walking in, it was nicely decorated and empty for a weekday, but there was a fish smell all around the restaurant. That was fine, we were immediately sat & greeted by our awesome server. I ordered a dish that had shrimp, spaghetti and broccolini. It's probably the worst dish I've ever had in a restaurant. There was still skins all over the shrimp & the pasta tasted like I was eating noodles cooked in spicy water. It was truly disgusting. But I was so hungry I just ate it, I didn't want to be that customer that asked for an entirely new plate. The stars were for my server & my husbands meal was decent. read more

After realizing they screwed up royally by redoing their entire menu earlier this year, they have finally adjusted it to bring back some of the old favorites that everyone was complaining about. Like just about every business, they've jacked up the price of everything. The Chicken Alfredo dish was brought back and while it's still pretty good, it's not what it used to be. It's also now $24 for a smaller portion with possibly 1/2 a chicken breast in it at best. The complementary bread is now $4 and after my last visit, I happened to take a closer look at my bill and I was charged $5 for a plain old iced tea. I'm sorry but this is absolutely ABSURD and pure gouging your customers. For all I know, they are probably charging you for the water now too. After finding it's way back into my weekly rotation, it might have just removed itself once again. read more

The hostess and manager went out of their way to make it a memorable experience! Not only did they accommodate a last minute reservation and reservation revision (we got caught up taking pictures), they also made a special homecoming menu just for them that included off the menu selections. This is the perfect spot to spend a special evening. Service was subpar but we celebrated my mom's birthday by starting off with an order of the bruschetta and the grilled portobello mushrooms. I can confidently say that these 2 appetizers were the stars of the entire dining experience, especially the juicy, cheesy, flavor-packed portobello mushrooms! For our entrees we got a margarita pizza with veggies added on top. It was good but definitely not an amazing pizza. The farfalle chicken Alfredo was rich and creamy with a nice tang from the sun-dried tomatoes. The ravioli filling and texture was delicious, but the lemon cream sauce was extremely sour. One of our favorite places to go to in the area for food. Love the location, food, ambiance and service.

To start, I'd like to say the food was exceptional. The alla mattone was cooked nicely, and the seasonally hash it was paired with was just as good. I also had the cioccolata which was served warm and was absolutely amazing! My friends tried a bit, however, and found it to be a little to bitter. Either way, I enjoy both parts of my meal. The part I did not enjoy as much was the service. Not sure if it was because my group was relatively younger or our waiter was having a bad day, but the server was a little cold towards our table. Regardless of that, I'd still recommend this place. The food and overall atmosphere are Update: I've been meaning to update my review for a long time now, but just never got around to it. I went back several days after the original post and received amazing service! I also ran Into the waiter who served us in the original post and he was super sweet and friendly! I was very impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant it was a great spot for many different occasions. I was greeted by a lovely host and shown to my table immediately even though I was a few minutes late. We started the night off with a lemon drop and a martini. After a few beverages, we moved to the appetizers which included calamari and bruschetta. I finished the night off with a shrimp pasta.
