I was in town on buiness with my wife and had no idea where to eat when we stumbled upon this place. Being from Chicago we have had some of the best pizza but I think we found better here in Lansing. The tradional crust was amazing with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The sausage and pepperoni was the best I ever had. They made us feel like locals right from the start. I've added this place to my list of must-haves when I'm visiting my folks. I've been making it my first stop after I get in since its only a short drive from the airport. This is classic middle America food--there's nothing authentic about the Mexican or Italian menu items, but you can bet everything is legit traditional American cuisine. The burgers, sandwiches, and pasta dishes are rock solid, the portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable. I'll definitely be back to try even more. read more

Our waitress was really great and good to our son. The food we ordered (stuffed pizza) was dry and not very good. Our breadsticks were also burnt and dry. I have had better. Probably a good place for drinks, hence the bar atmosphere. read more

Piazzano's is where good friends meet. Great food and drink in a casual atmosphere. The food is only surpassed by the friendly service.

Awesome local's bar - amazing taco special on Thursdays, and great drinks! Usually went after meetings at the airport nearby, but they have great vegetarian options, underrated pizza, and a nice sports bar/friendly atmosphere. If you're familiar with East Lansing, I'd call this place the Crunchy's of north Lansing. read more

I've been coming here at lunch for many years. Much like a family diner, they have daily specials and a great selection from the menu. I recently came in for breakfast and was just as satisfied with the quality and the food is always delicious. The waitstaff is personable and friendly. Excellent food in a dark restaurant. We stopped in spite of the nondescript outside. Numerous specials were posted, along with an extensive menu. I had a corned beef and cabbage special - a full, tasty plate. My husband had a Reuben, also good. The Michigan bean soup was excellent-- as good as my dad used to make. Prompt service. Decided on Piazzano's with my roommates and a friend from out of town. We had just missed breakfast, so we decided to try there regular menu. The menu is a bit all over the place with Italian, Mexican, then American favorites. I decided to go with the Five Cheese Mac & Cheese and the others had the Sicilian Pasta and Creamy Pesto. The waitress was great and food was brought out in a timely fashion. That's probably the only thing good about the experience. I love the breakfast here, but I probably wouldn't come for the rest of the menu again. The Mac & Cheese lacked even salt for flavoring. Mix this in with watered down alfredo/white sauce and topped with other cheeses, there was no flavor. Since the noodles weren't drained completely it left this pool of white sauce and unflavored pasta shells.The Sicilian Pasta looked ok, but again the flavor was lackluster. Even leaning the plate over, we managed to use 5 napkins and soak up watered down sauce. And you would think of getting actual sausage with the dish instead of pizza topping sausage. The Creamy Pesto was a hit with my one roommate, but aside from that we weren't impressed. I'll still come here for breakfast, but I'll think twice about anything else. read more

This place is awesome!!! The building is terribly unattractive on the outside, so much so, that you would drive right past this place with no desire to try it out. A person took me here for lunch, and I was very impressed. The inside is very nice, and set up for watching sports with a nice bar and full menu. This used to be a 5 star stop for my group. But on our last visit they had changed their food. I'm not sure if they changed their supplier or just felt like a change was needed. But the overall flavor and quality of their food certainly seemed to have suffered. read more

This place is just north of Old Town Lansing. Food is high quality home-style cooking, service is quick and good. I eat here often, because it is far easier to eat healthy than at most restaurants. You can get a full complement of vegetables along with the standard fries/potatoes. Take out is quick and convenient. This place has a kind of hole in the wall feel but can accommodate large groups. Each day that have 2-4 specials which are not on the menu, i.e. turkey dinner, corned beef dinner, different sandwiches. Usually the specials are the best. Food prices are cheap, i.e. 7-10 dollars for a meal, but they are not afraid on occasion with the specials to go to $14-$17 bucks for the best quality. If you are looking to spend your money on ambiance this may not be your "first date" place, but overall this is probably the best restaurant in Lansing for the food. A++++ read more
