I haven't been to any Piccadilly Cafeteria, since I lived in Miami, Florida ( hometown) and was a child. So, I saw this cafe and decided to dine in. The restaurant is clean, employees are attentive and polite. There are many selections that you will find that you like. There were many people of different age groups, that were dining in and take out. As I selected my food, I was all teary eyed. This really brought back childhood memories, of my parents and my siblings, after church dinner. I am not a big eater, but I selected so much food. LOL! I didn't waste any, so I packed up what I didn't eat. I ordered Mac and cheese, baked fish, broccoli and potato salad. My husband had baked chicken, salad, string beans, corn bread and home made dressing. The food was seasoned, but not too overpowering. Their baked chicken isn't bad?It's pretty good. It's some of the younger ladies attitude, the rudeness. Rude and disrespectful. Screaming at customers to hurry up with the order. It was an older couple. The older lady was so nervous.She started shaking and said that's okay.That's okay.I don't want it. SMH! The staff here are very attentive and friendly. They explained the ordering process well and were patient with us since it was our first time. The restaurant was clean but needs some remodeling. The food was what you'd expect from a local diner serving southern food. I liked the fish and carrot soufflé the most. read more

I can't add a picture of my food due to the fact that I started eating it. I was torn between ordering a veggie plate or having chicken plus side items...ultimately I went with baked chicken and three sides....it's just my norm at Piccadilly...two sides just isn't enough for me but that's my personal preference. This was my first time at this location but won't be my last! In the past I have went to other locations and the cornbread would be dry but the bread here was just right! Highly satisfied and if I could afford to feed my family here every night I would but unfortunately I have to stop by occasionally but I've definitely found a new Piccadilly home. read more

The manager at his location has a very rude and nasty attitude. We went in tonight not knowing their hours, and someone in line said they just closed. So I asked one oft the servers would it be possible to do a takeout sense it was only 3 mins after their closing time, and sense others were in line and eating in the dining room. The server just looked at me like I had three heads on my shoulders, Then the silly manager came running out from the back waving her hands like she had Tourette's syndrome all rude and nasty saying we are closed all loud and unprofessional. I visited this location for the first time today. It was the saltiest meal I've had in my life. I heard others complaining about the salt. I will never ever visit this location again. All the employees were pretty nice, but whovever is in the kitchen must be trying to sabotage the business. I also purchased a to go plate for my mother which she couldn't eat. This location and the South DeKalb location are my favorite but the Fayetteville location have the best customer service of any Piccadilly I've visited. I have been a patron of this establishment for 11 years and they never disappoint. They have a variety of food, it is pretty consistant in taste, extremely clean and the staff and customers are friendly. Today the exceeded my already high expectations of them when the server (Ms. Britney or Brinley) informed me they didn't have a dish that i wanted and proceeded to ask the manager Dee if there was anything that could be done. Mr. Dee went to the kitchen and prepared the dish for me. Not only was the customer service excellent but the food was great. Our server Rose was great as well. She continued to smile even though it was busy. I usually don't purchase southern food since I'm a pretty decent cook and cook this often but there are several dishes that they perfect and just saves me the hassle. This was my favorite Piccadilly on the South Side. My fav in Atlanta is at SOUTH DeKALB MALL....The food here is more picture perfect here than the one that has recently closed on Hwy 85 in Riverdale/Jonesboro. Now the one in Riverdale had more of a Soul Food taste to it. You never really needed to add salt, maybe pepper to your meal. But the food there was some times dry, burned or just seemed old. Old as in Not Fresh. So I would usually visit this location which was about 10 minutes from my house. the staff was always nice and friendly. Always asking how your meal was and if they can get anything else for you. The food could be a little bland, but nothing that Salt, Pepper and some times some Hot or Pepper Sauce could not fix. I have had to wait on a few occasions for Fried Chicken and Carrot Souffle. They must be their top sellers here. Well I don't think you can really go wrong here. It's much less crowded and just seems to have a slower pace than the other location on Hwy 85 did. So if your body is telling you it's time for a home cooked meal. I know I am back in the south when I start seeing more cafeteria style establishments. We are temporarily staying with a relative until we move into our place in the city of Atlanta so I was tickled to see a Piccadilly Cafeteria! My parents and I used to frequent Piccadilly in my hometown back in South Carolina. I wanted some straight vegetables so we stopped in. Piccadilly was the same as I remembered before with the choices of southern style salads, meats, veggies, desserts, and bread. I chose the veggie plate which included a choice of four veggies. I got the black eyed peas, green beans, broccoli, and sweet peas. Everyone was hospitable and I enjoyed this visit to Piccadilly. read more

I'm visiting family in Georgia this week. My brother has been talking about this restaurant for months now . So today I decide to try it ! We visited the establishment in Fayetteville , GA. That he usually visits . I love the cafeteria serving style. So I decide to try the rotisserie & herb crusted half chicken , Macaroni w/ Cheese and the collard greens.... The staff was ok . One woman seemed pretty uninterested completely! I literally threw over $30 worth of food away . This place is simply a business and Quantity over Quality is the just the new way of doing things ... PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO PALLET !!!! The food was DISGUSTING, Chicken - pale , unseasoned & hard as a damn rock and raw ( I'm so confused on how) The Mac I couldn't get my dog to eat . My Yelp reviews are often of trendy brunch spots, boutiques, etc. but I'm off Saturday or Sunday mornings, if you can find me and my husband Mike sitting at Piccadilly in Fayetteville,Georgia eating breakfast. We come here not only because the food is good, but the service and community is wonderful! Both of us moved to Georgia from other states, and in our opinion , this is a little piece of town that lets us know who we actually live around now. If you are expecting a nightclub atmosphere or a bar scene, this certainly isn't the place. Yes, there are older folks here. I'm sure that's because they serve old-fashioned meals. WARNING!!! The quality of this restaurant has really deteriorated in recent years. For the second time in recent years we spotted a roach in the dining area. The bathrooms stink and floors are filthy. The restaruant is in dire need of a total renovation and debugging. What a horrible restaurant! Average customer age inside is like 67years old -- which explains why the food has no flavor. Clearly cooked without benefit of salt or other herbs. Also it ends up being more expensive than almost anywhere else in Fayetteville due to the a la cart pricing. The coffee was light and possibly generic -- didn't seem to have any body to it at all. Absolutely the worst food I have every eaten ever; and that's saying something considering I'm active duty military. We arrived and quickly found a seat. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive and that is the extent of the credible service. We had the fried chicken which wouldn't even take second place to KFC, mashed potatoes that tasted like used lumpy toothpaste, the mac&cheese had an indescribable taste, the rolls tasted stale and topped with spoiled butter. My wife and I only had a taste of each items before we stopped in fear of severe stomach issues. If I could give this negative stars I would. Stopped in for breakfast expecting it to be good but this was the most horrible disgusting food I've ever tasted! I hate myself for even trying it after seeing everything swimming in grease. Couldn't even finished and now I'm just nauseated. This place should be shut down immediately! We had not been to this Piccadilly in a long time because the food would be cold by the time you got to your table. I like my food HOT when I eat. We were in the mood for some vegetables and ( much to my regret) we decided to try Piccadilly in Fayetteville again. Very few people eating at 2:10 in the afternoon so service through the line was good. Got our food and paid $18.96 ( much more than just getting a burger ). The food had no taste and AGAIN all the food was cold! I ask that it be heated and when they finally returned with my food it was so hot you couldn't touch the plate! This restaurant has been open for years and still serve great food. It's just like summer camp style. You come in, grab a tray, and start rolling your tray while they ask you what meat and veggies you want. Then you get your drink and ticket and find a place to sit down. You pay at the end.
