The food is SOO good. A bit pricey but worth it every once in a while. Usually get the Bistec a lo pobre and it's always a big serving enough for dinner and lunch the next day which helps out that it's so pricey. The yucca is always a nice side to add as well. Great little hidden gem! read more

Picchu is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. This place really has it all. Great decor, fantastic customer service, and amazing food/drinks. Love the murals and the decorations around the restaurant. It's a really great spot to bring friends. The only thing is that it can get packed since there's limited seating, but making a reservation has been really reliable. I've had Peruvian food before, but this place just does everything better. First of all, the portions are huge AND everything is decently priced. My favorites are the Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado and Chaufa. I've also tried the Bistec a Lo Pobre and Pechuga de Pollo a la Plancha. Everything is delicious and you have enough for leftovers. This new restaurant is truly something special. The decor is adorable, and every employee was so nice and personable. The food was incredible! Delicious house made chicha morada to drink (big serving too!) and corn to snack on while we waited. We ordered a rotisserie chicken and a bunch of sides (yuca fries, tostones, maduros, side salad). Well let me start by saying that this was a fantastic dining experience. The portions are huge and I mean huge. The atmosphere was young and vibrant. From the music to the decor, it was excellent. The staff was awesome. Greeting everyone like they were old friends. We never felt rushed or forgotten. My husband who doesn't like new foods fell in love with their skirt steak, chorizo and plantains. We saw this place as we were getting ice cream next door one night and it looked like a nice restaurant. After looking at the reviews and menu, we were there the next day. Food and service were impeccable. We ordered the mixed ceviche and chicken empanadas which we awesome. I had the lomo alo pobre, cooked perfectly and delicious. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now and finally got the chance. We will definitely be back soon because the food was delicious. We each had a Diet Coke and my husband a beer (cusquena beer). My husband enjoyed the beer so much he asked as to where he could purchase it locally. Lucky for him there's a market in Farmingville. We ordered the Chicaron de Pescado, Tallarin Saltado with chicken, 1/2 Pollo with fries and salad, Arroz con Mariscos and we all shared Peruvian chicken fried rice. My pasta dish had chunks of chicken and delicious vegetables all tossed in this light but very flavorful sauce. The fried fish dish was light and flaky and the red onion salad gave it a fresh and flavorful addition with its lime vinaigrette. The rotisserie chicken is absolutely stunning. Moist inside covered by a delectable roasted skin. My husband really enjoyed his seafood paella. Everything was cooked perfectly and it had a nice amount of seafood. The chicken fried rice didn't stand a chance with this crowd. Again, the dish was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. We ended with the flan. This is the only dessert available. This place is amazing! We had take out from Picchu on a few occasions and it was amazing! So we figured why not try it in person so we we went to the restaurant and we sat at the bar and were greated promptly. We looked over the menu and ordered sangria which was excellent we ordered the calamari and it was fresh and flavorful (a must get) next I ordered the rotisserie chicken (had it a few times) and it was moist and super flavorful my wife ordered I believe The sea & land entrée and it was super amazing full of flavor with shrimp & steak both perfectly cooked & seasoned. We were to full for dessert, we did meet the owners of this fine establishment Harry & Chrissy and are super cool with a passion for amazing food & service we also found out that he owns Elegance Lighting in Centereach! Another fine business that I've been too (I knew he looked familiar). If you never had Peruvian food I recommend you try this place it's small so I recommend reservations! I came with a group of 11 people, and I am glad we had a big group so that we can try different dishes. For appetizers we started with the papa a la huancaina, tiradito de pescado, and the jalea. For entrees we shared tallarinea verde, carne chaufa, and the logo salta do. Everything was delicious! I loved the green sauce that they had, the standouts of the meal for me was the jalea ( I love fried seafood) and the tallarines verde was nice and saucy and tasted so refreshing with all the herbs.
