Ambiance: it's a traditional Italian bar restaurant located on Beverly drive, valet or street parking, it's packed and crowded inside, and a covered patio along the street outside Service: overall fine, a bit rushed when placing the order, and no introduction to their menu at all, refilled water adequately Food: classic Italian dishes, house-made bread and pasta Bread - *** it's a bit dry, still tasty with olive oil and vinegar, not complementary, $1.50 surcharge per person TAGLIOLINI VERDI CON CARCIOFI - **** Green tagliolini, baby artichoke, garlic and parmesan cheese, simple and tasty flavor, recommend RISOTTO ALLA VENEZIANA - *** Carnaroli rice, squid ink, calamari, shrimp and clams, very light taste, seafood was cooked well, clams were gritty Price: moderate portions and slightly overpriced for the quality but understandable for the location, expect $40~$50 per person

Definitely refer this beautiful inviting Italian restaurant ! The pasta is the best in my opinion in Beverly Hills ! A variety of sauces ( gravies to a jersey gal )... and pasta all service from Martina was excellent -- truly Italiana -- and wonderful every which way you can think of ! It's popular outdoor or indoors ! I had chicken paillard and we shared two different pastas as appetizers --capellini tossed with oil and garlic ( fresh ) and penne arrabiata - and let me say it's the best ! My husband had the New York strip with arugula and it was perfection . A tad pricey but all worth it . The ambiance and decor is perfect . I'll be returning here soon ! We were five of us and we all thought it was wonderful ! Go see for yourself !

Service was incredible, food was amazing. I was so pleased with dinner I 100% would go back. All the food tasted incredible, and our service was great! Our waiter was perfect, let us enjoy our meal and had amazing service. The vibe inside was great, I must go back.

All dishes ordered were excellent! Enjoyed asparagus soup, fried calamari, carbonara and tagliata steak. Were seated promptly on a Tuesday evening although we didn't have reservations. Perfect ambiance. Nice Italian music playing but not too loud where you can't have a conversation. Servers were consistently on top of everything.

I had a client meeting in the area and was starving, so I stopped by Piccolo Paradiso for a quick lunch - and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the pear salad and it was absolutely amazing: fresh and flavorful! I'm currently dieting and keeping things light, otherwise I would have definitely tried their pasta and pastries - they looked incredible. What truly stood out to me was the attentive service and genuine, old-fashioned hospitality. That level of care is hard to find in restaurants these days, and it made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for such a lovely lunch!

Our family favorite! We always come here to have our family dinners! Table size is always 12 plus and Service is always the best and food is so good! And they are kid friendly which is hard to find! My favorite is the calamari fritti for appetizer, Linguini Alle Vongole for my entree and for dessert the panna cotta and Crostata Di Banane E Nutella Caramelized so so good!! Love this place!

No one is going to get a bad meal here. The Pasta Marinara was outstanding with homemade Penne and homemade Marinara. ($25) You won't get better anywhere else. The Salmon was very good, not the best I have had--but very good. ($35) The White Fish was excellent and so were the veggies that came with it. ($35) The Apple Tort was very good. ($14) Service was Okay. They are efficient and attentive but you don't get the feeling that you are a valued customer here. The woman at the Valet stand ($14) was nicest person at the restaurant and she probably does not work for the restaurant. Table bread could be improved. (Bread Cost: $1.50 pp) If you can't tell by the menu--this is an expensive fine dining restaurant. Expect around $65 to 75 per person with T & T with Appetizer, 2 Mains, 2 Drinks. I do like the atmosphere here, but from a value perspective it's 4 of 5. From just a food perspective 4.5 of 5. From a service perspective 3 of 5. Go if you budget can handle it--there is no reason not to. Get the pasta.

We came across this spot bc the wait for honor bar was crazy long. There was no wait and we were seated right away. It is a bit pricey. My friend and I split two things: calamari and the fettuccine Bolognese (forgot to take a picture) and it was the right amount for the two of us. I didn't feel bloated/heavy after the meal. Decent service.

From the moment we stepped onto the patio, we were captivated by its charm, despite the occasional traffic interruptions. The impeccable service we received throughout the evening truly enhanced our dining adventure. Now, onto the star of the show--the food. The tasting menu surpassed all expectations. Every dish, from the heavenly homemade ravioli to the divine tiramisu and cannoli, was a culinary masterpiece. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted and executed with precision. Grazie Mille !

The restaurant is very low-lit, intimate, and romantic, making it a great choice for a date night. I could also see it being a nice spot to visit with friends for cocktails or mocktails. They also have a wide variety of wines, which I really appreciated, especially when pairing wine with pasta. For our appetizer, we ordered the burrata, and it was definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cheese was incredibly creamy and lightly salted, which I personally loved. It was served with roasted tomatoes and fresh bread, and the combination was simple but really well executed. We also ordered two pasta dishes, and both were delicious. The pasta was cooked really well--not overly al dente--and the sauces were rich, flavorful, and thick enough to coat the pasta beautifully. You could really taste the depth of flavor in each dish. We also tried the mussels, which was my first time having them. Personally, they weren't my favorite, mainly because of the texture. However, I think that's completely subjective, and someone with a different palate may really enjoy them. I wouldn't consider this a flaw in the restaurant so much as a personal preference. The service was another highlight. Everyone was very kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. My only real criticism would be the seating and tables. The tables were somewhat wobbly and had a few visible scratches, which felt slightly out of place compared with the otherwise beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere. The seating was also quite tight, especially with an appetizer and two pasta dishes on the table. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Oster. The romantic ambiance, delicious pasta, creamy burrata, extensive wine selection, and excellent service made it a memorable dinner. The mussels weren't personally for me, but that's simply a matter of taste. Aside from the tight seating and slightly worn tables, I thought the restaurant was a wonderful spot for a romantic Italian dinner in LA.

Honestly, it worked out perfectly because they had AC and it was HOT in Beverly Hills that day lol. The inside of the restaurant was actually really beautiful too! Everyone in our group enjoyed everything we ordered, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. HIGHLIGHT of our lunch: my husband and I surprised my mother-in-law with a bouquet of pink roses, so we asked the hostess if they could keep it in their cooler room until the end of lunch. After dessert, they brought the flowers out for us and my mother-in-law was so surprised and happy It honestly made the whole celebration feel extra special. If it's not during Dine LA, I would likely not come back. Little did we know there was a very obvious explanation for not being full for a Sunday dinner despite the gorgeous patio being perfect for romantic dates. Overall 4 stars: 5 stars for ambiance 4 stars for service 3 stars for food Got the: 1. Toscana (7/10): - This salad was wilted by the time it got to us and not crispy anymore, so we suspect it's been sitting out for a while. - Would've been a 9/10 If it was served fresh 2. Pappardelle Al Tartufo Bianco (+$20 to add lobster pieces) 7/10: - the pasta (9/10) was good, and the doneness was perfect for fresh pasta. - Unfortunately the lobster (4/10) left a lot to be desired. The lobster meat was severely overcooked to the point of being almost rubbery and there were several small shells in the pasta dish. - The waiter must've noticed the pile of shells I made because he whisked away the plate the second I finished so I wasn't able to take a picture. 3. Filet di Manzo (5/10): - the filet was over cooked, which is starting to seem like an overarching theme. We ordered medium RARE and received medium WELL. - This would ordinarily be sent back to the kitchen in any reputable steakhouse, but we gave them a break for not being a steakhouse - the sauce was on the bitter side and this dish was paired with broccoli rabe instead of the advertised spinach so the dish was not balanced at all, just overwhelmingly bitter. Unfortunately this was the worst dish of the night. 4. Il Branzino (7.5/10): - the Branzino fish was not dry but also not moist. I'd say it's pretty typical for Italian cooking, just not flavorful either. It needs a tasty sauce to really add some depth - instead of the advertised zucchini, it came with spinach - It was soft enough for the palate of my grandparents 5. Panna Cotta (9.5/10): - wow, I can't believe the best dishes of the night were the desserts! - Panna cotta was very well balanced with the fruits. Without the fruits and fruit syrup topping, the vanilla bean panna cotta would've be too rich - did not come with the advertised candied rose petals, but this dessert was so well executed that it didn't matter 6. Tiramisu (9/10): - light and fluffy, it was executed well with chocolate shavings on top - a little bitter from the coffee (they advertise that the lady fingers were "lightly dipped in espresso" which my taste buds find hard to believe) but they did have a berry compote on the side to balance it out. - Personally I wish it was not served with berry compote as I believe the advertised mascarpone may been a better pairing Parking: valet only but there's street parking down the street and all around if you're willing to walk up to a block

There are other locations but this I think was the first one and since it was the one I frequented it's the one I will miss. I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I came here as a little girl with my family because it was casual enough for a well mannered child but fancy enough to please the adults. One time I decided to get into shape. Every time someone asked me out for lunch or dinner I said I wanted to go to Il Fornaio. I would order a bowl of the vegetable soup or vegetarian soup of the day and the Regina Salad. The salad did wild arugula, couscous, avocado, red onions, capers, raisins, and lemon oil dressing. It was a fabulous and filling meal that also kept me skinny. I could honestly eat it every day and never get bored. During Covid I came here and we ate outside on the sidewalk. We enjoyed watching the pedestrian scene and "staying safe" while being able to eat out again. I really missed going out and I felt comfortable here which was important during Covid time. Every Halloween Il Fornaio would have 1/2 price pizza. My family made a tradition to order it. I LOVED this tradition and I'm going to miss it this Halloween. Their pizza was delicious. One time I came here with a boyfriend because they had a cooking class in the back. They had a huge entertainment room in the back of the restaurant. I wish I had a chance to have a special event here to rent it out. We had so much fun as we watched the chef talk about how to prepare each dish and what was even better is that we got to taste it in the end. We ate seabass with golden raisins, baked pasta with eggplant, and a cannoli for dessert. They even had a party souvenir which was an Il Fornaio plate to hang on the wall. Last time I came here was on the Fourth of July last year. It was also dine-la and they had the best deal of any of the dine-la restaurants. Not all the dine-la deals are good but this one truly was one of the best in terms of value for money. It was a three course meal with the most delicious fish entree. Who doesn't love a good deal? We had a fabulous time! Lastly, in recent years they added a happy hour menu to the restaurant and it was fabulous. I did another review on that so I'll keep it short here but the food and drinks were just wonderful. I will miss the friendly waiters who have been there forever. They don't make them like that anymore. Arrivederci to a true "classic"!

Unfortunately, my experience landed more in the "it was fine" category than memorable fine dining. The evening started promisingly with cocktails and beautifully presented small bites. Presentation throughout dinner was polished, and there's no question that a lot of thought goes into how everything arrives at the table. The bread service was elaborate and visually impressive, and several of the smaller bites were interesting. But as the meal progressed, I kept waiting for that one dish that would make me understand the hype. The truffle pizza certainly looked luxurious--and they weren't shy with the truffles--but even that didn't deliver the knockout flavor I expected. It was good. Just...good. At this level, I was expecting something I'd still be talking about the next day. That's really how I felt about the overall meal. Nothing was necessarily bad. The ingredients seemed high quality, the plating was sophisticated, and the experience had all the elements of upscale dining. It simply didn't translate into food that excited me. And when you're dining at a restaurant with Spago's reputation, "just okay" feels more disappointing than it would somewhere else. Service and atmosphere were polished, but ultimately I'm reviewing the entire experience relative to the expectations and price point. I'm glad I finally experienced Spago for myself, but would I rush back? Probably not. There are too many exceptional restaurants where I've left genuinely excited about what I just ate.

I highly recommend starting with the bread, it was incredibly light, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. The pasta was just as impressive. I was so impressed that I actually asked what type of flour they use, as I learned they import it from Italy. The braised dish was absolutely to die for, beautifully seasoned, tender and paired with incredibly ripe and flavorful tomatoes. And the cheesecake was the perfect way to finish the meal. It was light, creamy, and delicious without being overly sweet. The service was also wonderful and added to the overall experience. I will definitely be coming back. My only criticism is the valet situation. The valet is located in an alley and is a considerable walking distance from the restaurant rather than directly in front of it. This was particularly difficult for my uncle, who uses a cane. I had to drop him off at the restaurant and then walk back to pick him up after dinner because the distance was simply too much for him. I would strongly encourage the restaurant to consider a more accessible drop-off and valet arrangement for elderly guests and anyone with mobility challenges. Aside from the valet accessibility issue, this was a fantastic dining experience. The food, service, and quality were outstanding, and I'm already looking forward to returning.

Can't wait to go back already!!! Such a nice, modern…read morecontemporary atmosphere. The fun surprise for us was that the restaurant has 3 levels and the top floor is a rooftop bar. Park in the parking garage next door to avoid having to look for street parking and absolutely make a reservation! We went during that week and they were still busy. Our waiter was amazing, no nice and helpful. He explained the entire menu to us in detail. Everything sounded so good so it was hard to choose. To start we got the arancini. Portion comes with 3 and it was amazing. It's fried, but it wasn't too greasy. It was cheesy and yummy. One of my favorites was the fig pizza with prosciutto. They dough was thin and it was sourdough. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and I finished every last bite. Literally everything was so good!
