Bread service great with oil and balsamic

So right off the bat, we got a nice outdoor seat, and the place was pretty cute, but not as high class as I was expecting it to be but idk. The waiter was really nice and we got our drinks out to us Really fast. The charcuterie board was absolutely amazing. It looks as good as it tastes like wowwwww it was amazing absolutely amazing. However our actual pastas did take a long time to come out honestly and they were good I won't say it was bad. The Justin Bieber pasta was really good, but I felt like the sauce was kind of missing something maybe like a spice or something like that and the thickness of the dough kind of overpowered the actual taste. I got the Bolognese and it was pretty good. Just a standard Bolognese, but I think the pasta was really fresh tasting, and the waiter did not skim out on the parm haha overall nice I would come back for a lunch!!

I feel like I have seen this place so hyped up and it's apparently like Justin Bieber fav restaurant or something. The Caesar salad was incredibly average and the pasta was good but nothing special. The service was pretty so slow and did not live up to expectations.

Amazing first experience this past Sunday! 11/10 on the service and quality of food. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Our cocktails were also super yum - highly recommend a gin gimlet. My raviolis were to die for along with the appetizers we had. We had a party of 10 and they made it so special for my friend's birthday! Thank you to the great staff, ambiance and chefs!

A hot spot in Beverly Hills for Italian food. Grab a seat outside and enjoy some people watching while you enjoy fresh pasta. Delish drinks , nice service and yummy pasta. Thank you for being great with Hubs allergies. Glad I stopped in for dinner on my two day trip.

My biggest compliment is to the staff. They were amazing, nice, and so attentive. Pasta was very good and they had such a wide selection. Bread was also yummy.

We've been here a couple of times for different events. Food and service never disappoint. Perfect spot for an event or large family gathering. One of the best Italian restaurant in the area. A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it!

Went here with my sisters for dinner and the food was amazing! Apps and main dishes were cooked to perfection. I would definitely go back!

Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, Il Pastaio is a terrific Italian restaurant that is always packed with guests. You definitely need a reservation here if you come on the weekend for dinner. You'll see all the people on the sidewalk waiting for their table. I love the pastas and the service is stellar. This is the kind of place where everyone in our party orders something different and we all get to try each other's dish. We've always sat outside which is great because you can people watch. If it's cold, they have heaters available. The celebs love this place, too, but you may never see them as they get a special room inside, away from the prying eyes of the public. Their vodka pasta is named after one guy who really loves it, someone named Beiber. Mangia!

Came here for a friends birthday. In terms of ambience, it's very charming and fancy. A great place for pictures on a dinner night. The service... wasn't really there. It took an hour for our waiter to take our order and even then trying to get someone's attention took a lot of effort. After we ordered it took a long time to get our food. We were sat right in the middle of the inside restaurant so it's not like we were in a hidden area. We were there till closing because of how long we had to wait. It's really disappointing because I was looking forward to this place. However the food is tasty. I wouldn't say amazing, but it's well prepared pasta. A bunch of us got the "Justin Bieber Pasta" basically the one he orders when he comes here so they named it after him. It's okay, more on the salty and bitter side. I don't think we would order it again. Their truffle pasta is great though. It was done very well, and the pasta itself felt like such high quality. The pricing is on the higher side for the truffle pastas, but it is rich in terms truffle. I'd say it's worth a try.

    Truffle Pasta in Cheese Wheel
    Abby S.

Truly in the top 5 pastas I've ever consumed! The cheese wheel pasta is such a treat but never has it been this good anywhere else! The sheer amount of truffles they shaved on top was amazing and every single bite was finished. My husband ordered the Justin Bieber pasta and he loved it. Neither of our dishes needed any additional seasoning and that's a tough feat typically for me with pastas being chronically under seasoned. The service was 4/5 but they were pretty busy. The warm bread basket was a nice addition. It's so clear that all the pastas are handmade in house. Highly recommend when in Beverly Hills!

Yummy food! Very busy restaurant, it was kind of hard to flag down a server when you wanted something but when you did get one, they were very polite and understanding. The area was louder because we were in Beverly Hills, but it was ok. Was kinda upset that it wasn't complimentary bread for the price of the entrees, but that is also LA for you. Would recommend to those who like pasta!

I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!

The staff is well-dressed, well-trained, and genuinely friendly; the host on duty, Bella, tended to us during our short wait, keeping us engaged and getting us seated just as soon as she could. The decor blends spartan industrial chic with dark wood accents that tempter what might be a cold environment, making it inviting and comfortable. Our server, Diego, got right to us, answered menu questions with good humor, and convinced the chef to make my wife a dinner-time dish when he discovered her first selection had run out. Bread service (on request) was artisan sourdough, hot from the oven, served with rich butter and a tiny mound of salt. Simple and very tasty. My wife's Cacio e Pepe was, by her estimation, the very best she's ever had. The al dente pasta was coated in a sharp Parmesan that was keenly offset by the sweetness of a Tomato Jam served on the side. A very well-balanced and satisfying bite. For my own part, the Quiche Lorraine was buttery and rich, and brimming with bacon and cheese. The lightly dressed salad alongside was a perfect foil, cutting the sharpness nicely. But they did offer a few lunchtime items. The restaurant could be very quiet but on this occasion an obnoxiously loud group was so oblivious to the pleasure of others that some patrons chose to move outside patio dining. We also moved our table but the loud group was still very disturbing and so loud I could not hear the waitress. Most in our group ordered the le a.o.c burger with gruyère, dijon, caramelized shallots & crispy. I added avocado for extra flavor. It was presented very well on a plank and it was delicious. We found a spot four blocks from the restaurant. Of course they do offer valet parking. One of our guests used the valet for $13. One minor issue is the restaurant charges an additional 6% for employees health care benefits. A small amount but a sign of the times.
