They have a good sized menu with plenty of other things besides pizza. Hawaiian (3/5): I got 1 slice of the hawaiian pizza which had turkey ham and pineapples. They heat up the pizza for you so it was nice and hot. It made the cheese melty. The crust itself was a bit doughy but not bad. It was a pretty basic pizza I would say. y'all could never ever make me hate this place. this is the best pizza i've ever had in my life and this is what you need to do. it's a tiny little pizza spot with like 2 tables in the tenderloin, so you're going to want to drive or take transit and grab it for takeout. they're open super late so it's nice to come here for post-concert food or a late night craving. the guys are always super nice, very fast, and they take apple pay! when you get there, park somewhere (doesn't matter if it's a "spot" you can probably just put your hazards on and leave it there for a couple of minutes). just pick somewhere close to the store. then go inside and order one of the slices in the display for like $5-6 - they're gigantic and the best thing that they sell. their fried appetizers are also pretty decent and well-priced, and they do make pizzas to order but those aren't really a better value. they'll heat it up fresh for you! you can eat the pizza in your car, it's a very structurally strong pizza that won't make a mess, or you can eat it in the store because you WILL inhale it within 10 minutes! you can even eat it just walking down the street and you'll be done by the time you're at the bus stop i swear. now onto why i say this is the BEST pizza i've ever had. it's not a super thick and goopy slice but it feels hefty in your hand. it's gigantic, surface area-wise, so it's a really good value and a satisfying meal. the crust has a good chew to it but is slightly crisp on the bottom (it feels like eating forbidden cardboard in the best way). the sauce is a beautiful contrast to the melty cheese and flavorful toppings, which always pair perfectly and are not greasy at ALL. if you are a bbq pizza fan, come earlier in the day because you NEED to try their chicken bbq! it's genuinely the best thing they sell and will make you ascend to the gates of heaven. if you like something with veggie, try the roma or the combo/veggie pizzas. everything is good here. i've had their onion rings and mozz sticks before and those are good too, but i'd say try the pizza above everything else. it's just so consistently fire and amazing value!! the first time i had this pizza in 2020 it changed my life and it's just as good when i came back recently last week. come here ASAP there's no time to waste!! read more

I've been a customer of Piccolo Italia since 2006, and honestly, everything is good. But now I don't know what's going on. When I order pizza and other things, they always bring me something different, or they don't bring me what I ordered at all. They've let me down several times. They've done the same thing to me before. I know we're cooks, but we have to be responsible. I like the food, but I think we're paying for what we order, and I agree with that, but I don't like receiving what I've respectfully ordered. I'd like to continue going there, but just like they deliver orders, I think we all have rights, especially since we're paying for it. I'm from the 2128 Vannes area. The location is great. It's not too far from City Hall, the Asian Museum, and the Great American Hall of Music. Transit options are plentiful. There is MUNI, scooters, bikes, and walking. However, some of the streets have a ton of homeless so it might be sketchy at night. They are open late night which is awesome if your concert ended around 11PM like I did. The line was long when I went (around 11PM). It took like 15 minutes to get our slices, which makes sense because they reheat the slices in this pizza oven conveyor belt that is slow. They have fresh pizza every so often in the hour. The prices are kinda steep (~$5 a slice after taxes). Granted, they are pretty big slices. You can definitely get full off of two slices, even if you are super hungry. You should be able to walk out of here under $20 for two people. The flavor was okay. I think the fact that I was starved from standing at the concert for hours made this pizza hit differently. But on any other occasion, this pizza was basically a B on the flavor scale. Nothing crazy. It's edible but not a flavor you go out of your way to get. Bottom Line/TLDR: convenient location near the music hall but pricey slices. read more

This place is literally right around the corner from my mom's and since it is so easily accessible it just makes it all the more convenient that it is probably my husband's favorite place to grab a slice or an entire pie if it's been awhile. Like any self respecting fast paced City with a lively night life you have to have a few pizza joints that stay open well past the bedtime of the norm and that coincides with the last call for alcohol to most places and this place closes at 3AM. My husband's favorite is wittingly named the "Larkin". It is combination of meats, lightly sauced, generously cheesed on a yummy non over-powering crust. The sauce is just the right tangy to compliment the ooey gooey of that cheese and the greasy of the meats. Perfect pie to soak up all the alcohol consumed beforehand or just as a late night treat. I can't guarantee, but I believe this large pie is $20/$25 but the slices are so big and the cheese and meat plentiful that it takes only 1 to 2 slices to satisfy your craving and roaring beast of hunger.
