My husband loves these burgers. Always wants to go there. Also the one in Fife. 2 glaring problems They work very hard and are extremely successful in making the worst fries anywhere. Soggy, limp, greasy and terrible flavor. He doesn't ever order the fries. As they are the only gluten free item other than ice cream, I have tried them twice. Horrible!! I just sit and watch while he eats his burger. The other bad thing is that the cooks and servers think that wearing gloves is to protect their hands. They keep them on while, making change, touching all surfaces, then go right back to food prep without changing them. They need to retake the health department for workers class. read more

Had to try this place because I was told it was a close one to In and Out. Well....., while it ws not bad I cannot say it was as good as In and Out. It looks like a similar type of operation and I do appreciate how green they operate but when it come to the tast of the burger it is okay, but not great. The whole eco-friendly concept was super cool for me. I appreciated the recycled chairs, local produce and all that jazz. I really wish I liked this place more... The buns seemed a little stale to me - not toasty delicious, more like it had been sitting out all day...the actual burger meat was good (too much onion but I just took it off). Fries were soggy, they were squishy and saturated in oil. Service was slow, it took about 15 minutes for our food to finish. The drive in looked pretty busy, the inside was not what I would call super busy, just steady. When we arrived they were calling number 6, we were 15...it seemed like there were a lot of workers just standing around too, I'm sure they were busy but IDK. Apparently they have great milkshakes, I didn't get one but maybe that is their saving grace. Anyway, I really wanted to like this place, I really really did! I got a deluxe cheeseburger, fries, and large seasonal fresh strawberry shake. I was drawn here because the drive thru line was pretty long. I learned that it was just waiting for the food. So freshness wise? Good to go. The burger was nothing special, but good. Fries were great, and I'd get them again for sure, but the star was the shake. Definitely fresh. Needless to say? I'd give the food an "A", I'd also give an an "A to cleanliness and service, but the value was a straight "F". These guys have lost their mind. $10 for a bacon cheeseburger and fries and no drink. This is fast food, not the Red Robin, so pricing should be accordingly. I would never return or recommend this spot. Get a better meal at a better price next door at Chicago Willy's. Very disappointed. Service and cleanliness is a must, not a luxury, you don't charge for it, you expect it. If you get a Deluxe double cheeseburger (deluxe has thousand island type sauce instead of ketchup and mustard) and add grilled onions, you got yourself as close to an animal style double double as your gonna get without heading to Cali! Night and day in comparison to both locations, I can deal with the Fife location because they run like a machine, but this one is just the polar opposite. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me Twice, shame on you! Fool me three times...... well you know the rest. Whether you go to the drive thru or inside the restaurant itself, it always manages to take about 10 minutes time to get an order through and another 15 minutes to wait for food. Sometimes it even feels like they're not paying attention. Food is freshly cooked and fried, I totally understand that, but I think that having to wait at a drive thru for 20 minutes is unreasonable. I've given this place enough chances to know not to come back again I give 2 stars because their food is great, I just find it an inconvenience to have to wait so long for something that is called PICK-"QUICK" and also considered fast-food. read more

Washington's own In-N-Out! After living SoCal for a few years then moving to Seattle, I was a bit bummed on missing my favorite burger chain In-N-Out. Now after having lived here over a year, I've stumbled upon Pick-Quick, the closest thing to In-n-out I've ever tasted! The burgers are well priced, the meat is delicious and local. Make sure to add patties as they are quite thin. Easily the best part: Fries. The fries are pretty much carbon copies of the way In-n-out's taste. Thin, soft and sometimes soggy, but in a good way. Pick Quick also does them chili style which I highly recommend. Burger lovers, give this place at least one shot, the service was fast, the people were nice, and the facilities were cleaner than any other burger joint I've visited. I had received a couple coupons for having to wait so long in the drive thru. I decided to try this place again. Well, it took 17 minutes to get to the window with 3 cars ahead of me. We ate here once back in June right after moving to Auburn. At that time the food wasn't anything special during the first visit, but it wasn't bad either. The wait time in the drive-thru was under 10 minutes for that visit. JUST TODAY, we placed an order through the drive-thru at 6:46 pm. We pulled up and the cashier took our payment. We ended up sitting there waiting until 7:00 pm with no one checking in on us, and no one telling us why things were taking longer than normal. By this time my child was SCREAMING in the back of my car. While my fiance and son stayed in the car I got out of the passenger side and walked through the drive through to get inside to the front door. I asked for the manager, and a young woman with no name tag came up to "help me" -- if that's what you really want to call it. She later identified herself as "Cindy". From the front counter where I was standing I could still see my fiance waiting at the drive through for two milkshakes (they had already given him our food that looked as if it was thrown in the bag with virtually no wrapping). I tried to remain calm, explaining how long we had been waiting. I was under the assumption that she was not aware that we had even been waiting there at all. I expected to receive a valid explanation as to why they had literally forgotten about us, but instead I received the single most HOLLOW apology, and a made up explanation that she later changed. At first she said that it was because they now offer Uber Eats service that we had been kept waiting so long IN THE DRIVE THRU. I told her that if McDonald's, and the small Independent Mexican restaurant that I used to live by can figure out how to make Uber Eats work without making their PHYSICAL CUSTOMERS suffer, that they could too and that the owner's need to figure out a new system to implement. I asked for the owner's information but she refused to give it to me. Instead she told me to call for the General Manager in the morning. However, the GM can't fix the system that has been implemented...nope. Only their boss does. At this point I became livid. After hearing that BS excuse, I asked to see our order ticket to see the time stamp. It was in fact 6:46 pm when they placed our order. I then asked her for the current time, she told me it was 7:10 pm. About 2 minutes prior they had FINALLY given my fiance his two milkshakes. In total, our order took TWENTY-TWO MINUTES to complete. I then went to get my fiance out of the car because I was so angry I was shaking. The woman in front of me absolutely would not do anything to make the situation better, and I personally felt that she did not take me seriously because I was a woman. After my MALE fiance came in and asked for a full refund, she complied. She also went on to say that really they were so slow because she only has two experienced employees, and two newbies. Of course that contradicted her original Uber Eats excuse, and challenged her integrity. I then told her that, "I'm not sure how much management experience you have, but the very first thing you should have done was to offer a refund. Your job in situations like this is to deescalate, and giving excuses as you did only makes people more angry". Lying also makes me angry, but I didn't bother mentioning that to her. I guess after my long rant here, the moral of the story is just don't eat here unless you want to be forgotten about and then treated very poorly. read more

This place is the closest to In N Out Washington has. Burgers are made to order so be patient, they're worth the wait. The shakes are delicious and I know some people have complained about the fries being too soggy. It's true, they can be sometimes but luckily for me, I love soggy fries (yes I'm a weirdo)! Everyone one I have brought to this place, liked it and wanted to return. I also like the old 50's feel with the oldies music playing in the background and the retro diner look. The employees aren't always super friendly but never rude. Only left one star out because the patties are very thin. Order a double patty and it'll be like a single elsewhere. This place is a great place to get a greasy tasty burger. Do not compare this food to Chicago Willy's or KiDD Valley, not in the same class at all. This place is like Dicks Drive in or In and Out Burger chain. There is a certain greasy burger joint flavor to these and they are delicious! Basic menu much like you'd find at Dicks or In and Out Burger joint. If you want to step back in time, give this place a try. I still prefer Fife though over Auburn. read more

Well, the service was decent. It's not enough though when the burger was totally disappointing. Synopsis of the burger: Bun, tons of lettuce, tons of pickles, massively thick onion, very light sauce and an Itty bitty tiny tiny extra thin burger patty buried in there so that you have to fight to get a piece of it with each bite. They have a sign up on the window that talks about where they get their beef, Painted Hills, the sign explains the high quality of the beef and how is has fed, etc etc but I couldn't even taste it, the patty is so thin and small that you can't even tell that its on the burger. I was looking forward to seeing how it tested too, so disappointing. I worked in the food industry long enough to know that these owners are shooting themselves in the foot. It's a great place. Better by far than McD or the other cookie cutter fast food places. I'd put them at just slightly below Dicks and In n Out. Little pricey, simple menu but definitely worth it. Shake was great, can't beat the burgers. Parking lot of all things is laid out really funky but I'll give the city the blame for that one. I'd pick this place any day over the mainstream joints. The food writer for the Tacoma paper just raves about the PQ in Fife, so about 5 years ago I tried it. Unimpressed, I haven't been back since. Hearing that one had opened in Auburn piqued my interest. The retro '50's vibe seemed pretty cool. Maybe with time and a new location there would be some improvement. NOT. Same small, thin, flavorless patty that lacked seasoning. They put 1000 Island in a cup, call it PQ sauce and charge you an extra 30 cents. So I have been looking forever to find a south end burger place that can compare to my love that's only in Seattle and Bellevue, Burger Master. I was REALLY hoping this was it. Eh.... I have to say my favorite thing about the place is how environmentally conscious the building and company are. I hope they inspire more companies to do the same. I was recommended to try this place out by my coworker and I'm glad he did. Overall the food quality was good, but the standout was the Deluxe Double Cheeseburger and by god one of the better burgers I had in awhile. I would compare this place to an In-N-Out and Five Guys. Wait time was longer than expected, but the quality of the burger was amazing. The fries were natural cut fries, but after coming out of the fryer a little too greasy and it shrivels up to small. The chocolate shake was okay, not the greatest, but good enough to taste like a chocolate shake. The price was very fair for the food. Will try this place again for sure. read more

The burgers and fries are super fresh and all their sauces are amazing. This is my first time trying this place out and I'm glad I did. The burgers are super flavorful. The burger patties are thin but still very moist. The fresh cut fries are delicious. There is a little bit of a wait time at the drive-through but what do you expect if they are making your food fresh to order. Grass fed beef and locally sourced potatoes can't find that in a fast food joint. The price is fair considering the high-quality product they utilize. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is...they forgot one of my sandwich! I realized this when I got home. It seems like this is a common occurrence after reading the reviews. Burgers have the smallest of meat, you would be better off getting a children's happy meal at McDonald's, and you probably get more beef. They take forever as well. Like a lot of pepple, I enjoy a good drive-in. I spotted pick-quick when I was in Auburn and was drawn in by it nice appearance. Unfortunately, the building is the best part of this place as it turns out quick-pick of Auburn is definitely style over substance. First off, be prepared to wait a long time for your food. I can handle that if its worth the wait and price, but this isn't. I paid $9.20 for fries, a cheeseburger, and a medium chocolate shake. The cheeseburger has a patty comparable to the size of a dick's cheesebuger for $1.40. Not as good tasting, either. Fries, same thing. You get a small amount for the price, and they aren't anything special. Usually you can count on a milkshake being good almost no matter where you go. At Pick-Quick it isn't a bad milkshake, but it certainly is sub-par. I would rate all of the local drive ins (Dick's, XXX, Pepperdock's, Red Mill, etc) as better, and I would also rate all of the global fast food chains (McDonalds, burger king, wendys, DQ etc) as having better shakes. Basically, Pick-quick's milkshake is okay but it is isn't better than anywhere else. It is thick and hard to drink, their medium would be a small anywhere else, and it just doesn't taste that good. So, the food here takes a long time to receive after ordering, it is significantly overpriced, doesn't taste that good and isn't very filling. This is one of the worst "old fashioned style" drive-in burger places I have ever been to. read more
