They were fresh, crispy and delicious. Entrée: I ordered: Beef and Broccoli; beef chucks, soy sauce, with carrots & broccoli, included; Chow Mein noodles, onions, cabbage, celery, carrots, and bean sprouts. A good combination of flavors. I drank a large Diet Coke to balance my meal. I just wanted to share my experience at your Lake Forest, CA location today. I have a food allergy to garlic, which prevents me from enjoying some of your tasty dishes. I placed my order with Caroline, who works at this location. I usually pick up my order from here 1-2 times a month. I ordered Mongolian Chicken, and luckily Caroline remembered that I have a garlic allergy. She held off on preparing the dish until I arrived and informed me of the garlic in the sauce which could not be removed from the dish. She kindly asked if they could substitute another item for my order that was garlic-free. I was amazed that someone would take such good care of their customers and go that extra mile! Caroline and the chef at this location went above and beyond to ensure that I avoided a long night of discomfort. They can sometimes mess up on the order but they are quick to fixing and accommodating you for the mistake. My favorite thing here is the House chicken! It's super delicious. The portions in my opinion are very large so at lunch I usually order the lunch combo and it's enough food for me. It's priced pretty decent about $11 a person on average. I ordered their lunch (house special chicken) for like $8, it comes with rice, the house special chicken, 2 cream cheese wontons (or add $1 to upgrade to the chicken eggrolls). Hmm, nothing special. My order was pretty much a whole lot of brown rice with pieces of almost ground chicken in their house special sauce. They just plopped the cream cheese wontons on top of the wet chicken... must be too much effort to bag those separately so they stay crispy, ya know? LOL. So I ate them soggy. That's all. Just had an amazing experience at this location. It started off a bit rocky. I was the only one in line and the cashier was taking a phone order. I could tell she was having trouble hearing the caller so it was taking a long time. Howerve, someone who I originally thought was a nicely dressed guest approached me and offered to start cooking my order due to my wait. He must have been a manager, after washing his hand, he immediately got cooking my order himself. Amazing customer service!!!! I went to fill up my drink cup and bam! my order was ready! It was brought over to my with a smile (behind the mask) and I was told to have a great day and see you next time. Here's the deal, I hate eggs, I don't eat many vegetables, but the Vegetable Egg Rolls here are so awesome!! A bit expensive, but I really like the food here. My favorite is the House Special Chicken. The cashiers are friendly and the food is always served nice and hot! I love how the food is made when you order it, and not just sitting there for who knows how long, like those other Chinese takeout restaurants. My food is always ready when promised when I call in orders as well. Plus, I never had problems with parking in this area. They have been advertising that they now have daily delivery service after 5pm with a minimum purchase of $20. LOCATION and AMBIANCE (Rating 4) All Pickup Stix have a vary similar ambiance. Good job guys on the branding! This location seems a bit larger and the strip mall surroundings never seem busy during the evenings. So getting in and out is pretty quick. SERVICE (Rating 3) While the server had a smile she seemed a bit pre-occupied. I was the only one in there, so maybe she had her mind on going home in 20 minutes wondering if I'd eat fast? HOUSE SPECIAL CHICKEN (Rating 3) The taste of their house special chicken is vibrant and clearly not a healthy choice. But it's tasty! The sauce is always well caramelized with a sweet but clearly Asian flavor. The chicken is all dark meat and not of the "best" quality in my opinion. I love the food here it is consistently good (hence why I came back after waiting for a while. It looks like they are associated with door dash and other food delivery services so if you come in right when they open, you may have a wait, so again I suggest ordering online. The dining room is very clean and it always seems like they have a few booths open which is very convenient. They have bar seating, booths, tables, and even a large booth for a big party. Asked again.....same answer. "Menu has changed a lot".so we ordered the Orange Chicken. When we sat down my husband looked online at the menu and saw "House Chicken"! So we showed the guy who said "oh! Yes. House Chicken". Good grief. So re had our order redone. Chicken was good, though a little fatty. Fried rice was not great. Everything is freshly cooked. The orange chicken was perfectly crunchy and they even add fried wontons with your meal. The Kung Pau chicken was too salty for me though.
