I had a craving for a sandwich and Pickle Time has been on my list of places to try, so I ended up there on a quiet Saturday afternoon. This is an old school deli/cafeteria, and I'm sure it gets tons of traffic from the workers out this way. You won't find fancy Mammoth-esque flavor combinations here. Our sandwiches were standard fare. Is there such a thing as bread that's too soft? That was almost the case here. Because it was Saturday, the cold case had limited items. We tried a pasta salad that seemed a little past it's prime. They make a good, solid, 3-star sandwich. Service and ambience is a little rough around the edges but it's all good enough for a quick, reliable bite. Parking is easy. I suggest calling ahead if you know what you want.

My Brother went in and ordered takeout, when he got it home it was so bad and undercooked he could not eat it and threw it out. Later he went in and showed them an image of the food that he could not eat. They huddled around his phone with the image and then emerged and stated: NO, FOOD NOT MADE HERE! My brother does not do SM and he told me the story, so I am posting this for him. NOPE will never go back to this place. He is not a scammer and does not need the food or money. They called him a liar and told him to leave

    24/7 breakfast

24/7 breakfast made fresh on the spot, smoothie is very good. Nice people and a very clean kitchen! Would recommend over the neighboring Subways for sure.

Great wraps and breakfast sandwiches, it's a great value for what you get. I recommend the Thai chicken wrap.

After making a trek to another Eastern European market down in Tacoma the day before, now it was time to visit European Grocery in Everett on 3/2/25. Pro tip: Don't be intimidated by the stoic, standoffish staff at the deli counter or the register. Enjoy the culinary experience wandering their grocery aisles and remember your shopping bag(s) to package up your purchases. Because I had also stocked up at the other market in Tacoma, I noticed similarities in the product availability. However, I was able to find other things of interest especially in the smoked meats, condiments, chocolates, and biscuits areas. I enjoyed looking closely at their wine and spirits section...unique labels I would not find at my usual Ravenna wine shop in Seattle. Thanks to Heather, fellow Yelp Elite, for putting European Grocery on my radar screen!

My family and I have not experienced anything close to that at this store. Both the men and women were very helpful, let me admire their produce and culture (even let me take pictures and videos) & eagerly answered the few questions I did have. We had such an enjoyable experience that we came back the next day to buy more food & sweet treats. In regard to the ambiance, this grocery store isn't the biggest by any means. It's about the size of a NY bodega/convenience store, so don't expect to be able to find any and everything you usually can at other places. However their produce is fresh & all the meat, cheese and dessert products we have tried were all very good (certainly much healthier than the preservative and filler packed foods you'll find at your local WalMart, QFC, etc). I thoroughly enjoyed my first European market experience & can't wait to come back, as well as visit other stores.

The signage was very helpful and pointed me to exactly where I wanted to go. I was not sure if this was place to check out by donation or for a cost, but was excited to see that it was free of charge. It's a quick stop off and you can totally check it out spur of the moment like me if you are on your way to or from something else. This is located in an alley near Hoyt and Hewitt, kind of close to Cafe Wylde. Its not incredibly large, but there is a lot to check out in a small space. I am a lover of unusual food products and this was right up my alley, haha. There were many cool things to check out, I could certainly have spent more time but was on my way elsewhere. The person behind it all was very nice and shared how this place came to be. I even got some tips on how to find my own unique foods in the future. Best of all he had a few unique products for sale and I came away with some fun treats to try later, including a hot tamale bath product. He reported that he plans to continue to stock a few unique products to sell, so I will definitely be back to check this out in the future. Stop by if you are in the area.

I guess they recently remodeled, we tried a few times before we managed to catch them open and ready for business. Plenty of easy parking out front. Not too hot inside on a warm day. There were some samosas for sale on the counter. It has a separate seating area and some things for grocery type things and household items for sale around the edges. On the day we visited we were the only diners, but lots of people came in to use the store part. We both ordered the vegetarian combo. It was large and filling. It came with a beet section, which is something I have not experienced at other Ethiopian restaurants. My favorite part was a dark brownish item, but unfortunately I do not know what it is called. I also really enjoyed the salad section. I am not aware of other Ethiopian places in the area and the person behind the counter let me know that many people come from northern cities to dine here. It's nice to have this in the area. I know many people that are curious about Ethiopian food and it is nice to have a place closer to take them to experience it. Glad to have found this hidden gem.
