We asked more than once. Each time we were passed over while other things took priority. We eventually left without eating. Even tho the food looked great. I'm not writing this because the wait was long. A wait is fine. Being told "it'll be about 20 minutes" is fine. What wasn't fine was being treated as though we weren't there at all, repeatedly, by the owner. It's a small thing to make eye contact and say "we'll be with you shortly," and it's the difference between a customer who waits patiently and one who walks out feeling disrespected. I can't speak to the food, we never got to try it. I can only speak to how we were treated, and it was disappointing enough that we won't be returning.

When you dine in they bring metal cups with an icy cold carafe of cold water to your table. Customer service is efficient. The person behind the counter is very soft spoken and gives you a slight smile but gets your order correct every time. Hands down so don't argue with me they have the absolute BEST orange chicken. It has a slight crunch on the outside while tender and juicy in the inside. The orange sauce is perfection. It has a great balance of salty and sweet without being overly sweet like an orange candy. It's not tart and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. They put the right amount of sauce so it is not drenched. Pair it with the garlic rice and the salad that crops and fresh no dressing is even needed. Order this and you will be happy. The regular white rice is good too! The Zapp chicken is crunchy, juicy and spicy. I normally cannot eat spicy but this one is perfect. Since my 24 year old son told me about this restaurant I've been here four times in the past month. Simply delicious!!!

I couldn't stop even though my order was a pretty large portion! Honestly this could be easily shared by 2 people. The chicken isn't "heavy" so it's quite easy to just eat a lot. I'm only docking a star because the boba left a lot to be desired. The tea itself was fine but the boba formed clumps and it was difficulty to drink through the straw. It's located in a tiny strip mall but there's a good amount of parking. Service was fast. We ordered on a tablet and sat at a table. There were a couple of dirty tables but as we ate, we saw them clean up. Will I be back? Absolutely! Can't wait to try other menu items.

The ambience is laid‑back, cafeteria‑casual, and absolutely unbothered, like it knows the tonkatsu is good enough to speak for itself. Let's get down to business. We went in on the Chicken Katsu and the Katsu Don, and honestly, both dishes came out swinging. The chicken katsu was crispy in that crunch way, while still staying juicy inside. The katsu don had that comforting, saucy, slightly sweet vibe that makes you feel like life is going to be okay. Because it is! And let's talk about the curry sauce, "Wow" it's thick, savory, and the kind of delicious that makes you consider pouring it on things it probably shouldn't go on. It's the type of curry that makes you nod to yourself mid‑bite like you just solved a personal problem. Ordering at the counter is quick and painless. You place your order, and wait for your incoming deliciousness. The staff keeps things moving smoothly, even when Tokyo Central gets busy. It's efficient, friendly, and very "get in, get fed, get happy." There is nothing fancy, and that's exactly the charm. Casual seating, relaxed energy, and the kind of environment where you can enjoy your meal without feeling judged for how aggressively you're eating your katsu. It's simple, clean, and perfect for a no‑frills comfort meal. This is one of those reliable G-Town spots that delivers crispy katsu, comforting bowls, tasty curry, and fast counter service, all wrapped in a chill, Tokyo‑Central‑style setting. A solid spot when you want good food without the fuss. Miguel C.

Going there at lunchtime can be a long wait. I've seen lines of over 30 people waiting to pay and select their orders. So I go there either when they open or after 1 pm. My concern is not only whether the fee is adjusted later, but that I am being presented with and asked to approve a surcharge at the time of checkout when I am using a debit card. This has now happened more than once, and staff have refused to remove the fee before completing the transaction. As a customer, I am not comfortable authorizing a transaction that includes what appears to be an inaccurate surcharge and then relying on a later adjustment on the back end. That process is not transparent and does not make me feel confident as a patron. The California Attorney General's guidance states that merchants may not mislead customers or hide differences between credit, debit, and cash pricing, and debit card surcharges are generally not permitted even when run as credit. I hope this can be corrected at the point of sale so that debit card customers are not presented with this fee moving forward.
