Cilantro Lime Chicken and Sangrita

Love this place! The updated lime chicken was phenomenal! Still the best Sangrita I've ever had (and I've had a ton of different ones). The churro bread pudding was incredible! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Lubbock! Service was great! Just an all around cool vibe!

Heard about their new menu options, and had to stop in to try it! for this month they have an amazing jalapeno cheese fry bread! absolutely delicious and pairs well with their white queso! per usual the service was excellent & we cant wait to return for more

Visited Picoso's for the second time with a small work group. The hostess accommodated our staggered arrival times and the waitress checked in regularly to get drinks for late comers. The food was delicious and our orders were almost perfect. Everybody that didn't clean their plate took the rest with them. The background noise wasn't too much, we were able to have a good discussion without any trouble. Picoso's is a nice place to get Mexican food.

We were hesitant to try Picoso's, due to some of the poor reviews. However, we are really glad we did and recommend you give them a shot. Our experience was well above their 3 star rating. Everything was excellent. The staff was great, the drinks were good, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was nice. The cocktail list has some very appealing options. I ended up with the house margarita, just to see what we were working with. It was very good, and I look forward to going back to try the others soon. We got the Crispy Rellenos, fajitas, and the chocolate cake for dessert. All were delicious.

Plastic fork and plastic knife's

How do I give a zero star review? After a 6 hour drive to Lubbock we decided to visit this restaurant. We waited for 45 minutes for no drinks, no silverware, and cold food. They ran out of silverware and gave us plastic fork and plastic knife's!!! Is there no one in the back to help clean the forks and knife's? Oh and a special touch is that there was a giant clump of hair in the queso.

The fork is bigger than the cheese

So me and the family have gone to Picoso's at least once a month for several months. Every time I order 3 cheese enchiladas and NEVER have they ever made them with any more than just a small sprinkles of shredded cheese. Then they roll the tortilla over 4 times to make look full of cheese. They need to hire a better chef or teach them how to make A REAL CHEESE ENCHILADA VERY SAD

Food is good but overall it's too pricey for what you get. There's better in town to consider.

This new…read moreplace not only boasts a shuffleboard, they have pool tables, a few arcade games, a gigantic stage (think Karaoke, Comedy and Music), LOTS of seating, good lighting, big screen wall-mounted TVs and we have not event talked about food or drinks yet. Listen up, this place is new (opened late Nov 2024) so they are still working out the kinks. I say this because there are two reviews on this place that mention negative things. IMHO I think thus far they are excelling and will only get better and better. We need to give them grace as they learn and grow. ***So please READ MY REVIEW and ignore the 1 stars.*** The food we ordered was tasty, affordable and came out quickly. Drinks for the entire table were on point. Shout out to Chet who will gladly curate a drink for you if you are not sure what you want. Oh and did I mention 237 is located inside? 237 is Speakeasy located inside of Soggy Dog (at this time 237 is open Thur-Sat nights). 237 has it's own vibe and drink menu. PRO TIP: Enter Soggy Dog through either of the double set of metal doors. Yes you are at the right place. I will take pictures of the entrance on my next visit.

The chips and queso were an appetizer but came out with the rest of the food. Queso was extremely burned so I asked for it to be removed from the ticket; instead, they replaced it with spicy broccoli cheese soup. Okra and fries were not cooked all the way through; seems hard to mess up food service frozen food, but here we are. The hot chicken sandwich was made with chicken so tough I couldn't cut it. The hot sauce was nice, the salsa was decent. My giant mug of beer was flat but at least it was cold. Overall: poor food, slow service. Was hoping for better.

While sitting in the Walmart parking lot researching places near where I'm staying for work in Lubbock, I came across The Funky Door Bistro Wine Room. I'm so glad I did. When I pulled up, I appreciated the ample parking and immediately noticed the unique wine‑glass door handles--such a fun touch. Inside, the décor is warm and inviting with wood accents, dim lighting, and a beautiful display of wines. The upstairs seating overlooking the main floor adds to the charm. The service was excellent from start to finish. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa and an egg‑white omelet with avocado, feta, spinach, and breakfast potatoes with caramelized onions and peppers. I was charged extra for egg whites, but it was absolutely worth it. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. From the hostess to the server, the service and timing were spot‑on. I truly enjoyed my brunch at The Funky Door. Thank you for a great experience.

Menu prices incorrect on wine, and about $100 more than cost. Kids meals came with a drink according to the kids menu, but we were charged $3 per drink. Extra bread for fondu was $5. I will give major props to the server, Mollie, and her manager for doing a phenomenal job resolving a minor issue with the order quickly, politely, and effectively. The atmosphere was fair with good music and humorous decor in the bathroom. The lights weren't for me, but others may like the statement. Where The Reserve was lacking was the food. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, but again there are better options around town. It did taste like it had been prepared in a genuine brick oven. The tortellini was bland. The queso was good enough, but nothing to get excited about. The salsa was downright terrible. The chips were actually phenomenal. The margarita made no attempt to cover up the strong taste of tequila. The Chilton tasted like club soda and not much else. Lastly, some of the surprise fees made me feel like I was booking air travel or paying a wireless bill rather than getting a nice meal. The final charge was a few dollars more than what was shown on the ticket. I assumed this was probably due to a service charge for paying with a card, although I didn't see it with a quick glance at the receipt. In all fairness, I'm sure this was disclosed somewhere and I overlooked it. I have come to accept this as the way of the world now. Also, when we ordered the chips and queso, we were asked if we wanted salsa with it. We accepted the salsa with the assumption that it was complimentary. Granted, since we were asked, I should have assumed that there was a charge for it. The charge was reasonable, although wasted because the salsa was so terrible. I did receive approximately a 5% discount for the order mix-up, and I actually ended up with a free pizza as well. The service and attentiveness were truly exemplary. I would give this place a second chance if I were in the area, but I certainly will not go out of my way for it.
