Apple cranberry pecan salad
Azsure D.

Such a fun location! Best thing about Pie 314 (besides the solve for pie running around the room #STEM) is the fab cocktail menu. The Mixology is top notch. Not many places offer a Sazarac! Also they mane a GORGEOUS gin hibiscus drink with a hibiscus ice cube that dissolves as you sip, garnished with the most darling flower. They also offer a glam ladies night, and good Happy Hour pricing. The food is good. No true vegan options so I eat vegetarian here. Tonight I had this apple cranberry pecan salad, as did my gf (who added salmon). We both thought it was good but drowning in dressing. I will opt on the side next time. The pizza are good, as are the pasta. Also, this location hosts events by the Chamber of Commerce plugging itself into the community and branding itself as local.

Short ribs and blue cheese pie

The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and cozy. The seating is pretty spacious. My mom and I came in for lunch and it was not very busy. We got the short rib pizza and cajun pasta. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The short rib pizza was definitely the star of the two dishes. We enjoyed the combination of the ingredients on the pizza. The unique combination of pizza ingredients options were what drew us to try Pie 314 in the first place. There was a nice balance of sweet and savory from the short ribs. I would definitely order this pizza again. The cajun pasta was alright compared to the pizza. We wanted to try an option that was not pizza, and honestly we should have stuck to the pizza. While the pasta was not bad, it was just not outstanding either. I can't wait to go back and try a different pizza next time.

We sat outside and our Server (Thomas) was also the bartender- he was great and super friendly with my kids. We tried the spinach and artichoke dip (2/5- it lacked flavor), the biscuits and brisket (5/5- amazing), a pasta dish I can't remember the name of (2/5- it also lacked flavor), & kids spaghetti & meatball (5/5- great red sauce). To drink we had mimosas to start and then switched over to the como la flor & an old fashion- all of the drinks were good. We would def come back for brunch and request to be in Thomas section again.

First time here but won't be the last! The employees (jake and Kyle) were very friendly explaining the fresh menu and specials. We enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, pizza and refreshing sangrias, everything tasted wonderful.

$2 for ice!

It was a busy night so the server took a while to take our order, however that was forgiven-able it's the burnt dry salmon and charging $2 for ice cubes in your drink for me!

Picked up a Togo pizza last night. It was yummy! You can't beat their $5 old fashioneds during happy hour. Also, they have such a great environment. Love coming here! Wednesday nights they have live music!

Mimosas - orange juice and pineapple juice

Stopped by for brunch and had a great experience. Everything is made fresh in house. $1 mimosa refills (with fresh squeezed juice). The food was delicious (we got Biscuits & Brisket and Sausage & Hash Skillet). The restaurant was clean and inviting. Everyone was very nice and our service was great. We will definitely be returning.

THE BRUNCH MENU IS A MUST!!!!! Went for the FIRST TIME today were pleasantly surprised. The food absolutely made this review higher, but the service was good also! We walked in and there wasn't a hostess to seat us (someone from the bar told us we can sit wherever we wanted). The place was not busy at all so we found a menu and checked the items first before the manager on duty (I assumed) came and told us everything is made in house/scratch. We decided to stay and sit in the covered patio at the front. The atmosphere was very relaxed, our table was clean and so were the silverware/ plates etc. Our server was really sweet and attentive and our orders came as we placed them (big plus in my book!) the only negative comment I'll write is that our first round of coffee wasn't hot (lukewarm at best) but when some of it spilled, the manager came and brought us FRESH, hot coffee. We got the "chicken & waffles" as well as the "biscuits & brisket" and I absolutely asked for a side of their bacon jam (WORTH IT!!!). Both dishes were absolutely delicious and huge portions (if your into sharing entrees, you totally can but for your first time got for different things and sample). Chicken was hot and crispy and the brisket was really good too (almost made like a chili?). The pictures were a little misleading about the amount the house made sausage gravy - they added WAY MORE than it shows on the menu. It was DIVINE, but too much of a good thing.. for us, it kind of drowned the taste of the waffle (so fluffy and light) and the biscuits (HOT and flaky). Next time we go, we plan on asking for the sauce on the side, or put halve of what they would normally put on the plate. I really wanted to try the bacon jam with the biscuit but the gravy made it super soggy (delicious, but all you taste is gravy. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE BACON JAM!!! I'm drooling just remembering it as I post this! All in all - we were very happy with the food, service and overall experience. We will be going back for brunch and again to try their pizzas! This will be a staple date night place for us!

Great ambiance, service and food. Nice outdoor seating with fans. We had wings and short ribs and blue cheese pizza, both were delicious.

"Good morning," I yell from the couch of a Dallas Airbnb. My stomach growls, begging to be pleased…read more I went to meet my brother and sister-in-law for breakfast, and they recommended Sunview Cafe. Located in a never-ending strip mall in Allen, we walked in and got our name on the list. It was 11:30 am, so the early church crowd was coming in alongside us. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up only being about 10. Inside, Sunview is loaded with Texas décor all over the walls. It feels pretty small, but they definitely take advantage of every corner of the space for seating with their booths and tables. The prices are pretty fair for a brunch spot. One thing that definitely caught me off guard was how many things were on their double-sided menu. It felt like a legal document with how extensive it was. It is definitely overwhelming, but I locked in and ordered a Meat Lover's Omelet. It's filled with bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese. For my sides, I got hash browns and two pancakes, which is a steal for a $14 omelet. It wasn't long before the food came out, and I crushed the omelet. It needed some salt and pepper personally, but it was pretty good and hearty, especially with the pancakes as a side. The impression from my brother and sister-in-law was that they wanted to come back here often, and I'll probably find myself returning next time I'm in Dallas. I ended up getting the quesadilla off the kid's menu. Waitress said it was made with one tortilla. I should have asked how big a tortilla. lol It was very small. Too small, imo, for even a kid's menu. More like a toddler menu. Tasted okay. Came with fruit and hashbrowns. The fruit was very good and all of it was fresh. Loved the pineapple. Hashbrowns had a bad flavor-from the grease they squirt on the griddle to cook the hashbrowns and get them crisp. It tasted old. I love hashbrowns and order them a lot when ordering breakfast. I could only take a few bites. The hubs ordered a panini. It came with potato soup. I tried the soup and it was good, but needed more flavor. Probably just needed a tad more salt. Waitress was attentive and patiently waited for us to decide what we wanted. Would probably try this place again if we are back in the area and need a bite to eat.

Since then, we've had brunch there 3 or 4 times, and every time has been a delight. We've spoke to the owner, a very friendly Armenian gentlemen whose cousin is also involved with the restaurant, as is the owner's daughter and others. Plus, he's been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, and a number of the employees have been with him for many years. Bottom line, the guy knows how to run a business. Be warned, though, as others have mentioned, there will be a line, and there's no phoning ahead, going online etc. You'll speak to the man with the clipboard, that's the owner. He'll put your name down and find you when it's your turn. The system works, and it's great. But what of the food? We've brought friends and family and between us all, have sampled easily a dozen dishes or more. My latest brunch was the chicken fried steak, and I ordered it kind of half breakfast, half lunch style. I wanted hashbrowns (extra crispy, and boy, were they delivered that way!) but also wanted fried okra, our server accepted the order with a smile. The steak was tender, well coated with golden brown and delicious crust, and the gravy was thick and well seasoned. Eggs were light and fluffy, and one can see from my picture, those hashbrowns were surely extra crispy. We've also sampled a number of the shop made desserts, and they have all been phenomenal. Bottom line, this is a great locally owned and operated business, where the owner is literally involved and working the floor every day, and they're really doing everything right.

We had elk tacos, gulf coast ceviche, babyback ribs, chicken fried steak, double cheeseburgers, Texas redfish, caesar salad, ice cream, whiskey bread pudding, & carrot cake. Plenty of drinks, including a wine bottle, 2 haywire's, & a jack daniels. Soft drinks too. The appetizers were fantasic. My double cheeseburger emphasized the meat, well seasoned, right amount of pickles & greens, not overwhelmed with sauce. The tallow fries were as good as it ever gets: crispy, soft inside, must be 2x fried. Outside square had great World Cup fan area. We watched Colombia vs Uzbekistan. My team Croatia lost to England previously, but Haywire soothed my disappointment with an excellent dining experience. BTW: $638.04 with a 20% tip. Great value. This would cost so much more in my home state of California.
