We only ordered a few antipastos and a salad. The brussels sprouts salad was really good, but the seasonal bruschetta was another story. There are some photos on Yelp of actual orders that other customers posted of seasonal bruschetta that looked amazing. It's even on the cover of the Yelp restaurant page. That photo was the reason we decided to give this place a try. The photo on the menu looked pretty decent too. When I ordered the bruschetta, they did tell me that it won't look exactly like the photo on the menu, and I was ok with that thinking it was a seasonal item and probably would have different toppings on it. This place is very cute. Nice bar that is well stocked. We started with cocktails. The hibiscus drink was refreshing and had a great flavor. I love that the put cucumber's in the water and the water taste like its filtered. Goat cheese fondue was delicious, it wasn't skimpy and had lots of olives and sun dried tomatoes. The spinach and artichoke dip was decent, I would order it again but with different bread. Antipasto was fresh. Blue cheese wedge salad was good, could have used more bacon. Short rib pasta was delicious! Bartender was our server. He took our drink and appetizer order and never came back. Managers were constantly checking on us and I love how they go to every table to make sure customers are happy. Definitely going to be one of our hangouts. This place is a favorite for our family. They have decent prices, consistently delicious food, and strong drinks. All the makings of a perfect restaurant for us. Our family's favorites are: whole roasted cauliflower ($11), brussels sprouts salad ($14), shrooms pizza ($14), sausage and pepper pie ($15), bacon and egg pie ($13), wilburs revenge pizza ($14), short rib pappardelle ($15), seared salmon ($16), and pan seared chicken ($16). As you can see, we come here a lot. My son's favorite is the kids spaghetti and meatball. He says it is his favorite spaghetti and meatball of all time :) so there you have it, from the esteemed palette of a 4 year old. The service has been great every time we've gone, which is basically every time my in-laws are in town. The servers are always knowledgeable and friendly towards the two rugrats we're totting. The ambiance is also very nice. They usually have seasonal decor (at least they had a Christmas tree when we went in December), the lights are low, and it has both a homey vibe and a romantic vibe for a date night. We've never had to wait for a table at dinner, which is also a plus. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for an Italian restaurant with a wide variety of foods and stiff drinks. read more

Such a fun location! Best thing about Pie 314 (besides the solve for pie running around the room #STEM) is the fab cocktail menu. The Mixology is top notch. Not many places offer a Sazarac! Also they mane a GORGEOUS gin hibiscus drink with a hibiscus ice cube that dissolves as you sip, garnished with the most darling flower. They also offer a glam ladies night, and good Happy Hour pricing. The food is good. No true vegan options so I eat vegetarian here. Tonight I had this apple cranberry pecan salad, as did my gf (who added salmon). We both thought it was good but drowning in dressing. I will opt on the side next time. The pizza are good, as are the pasta. Also, this location hosts events by the Chamber of Commerce plugging itself into the community and branding itself as local. read more

The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and cozy. The seating is pretty spacious. My mom and I came in for lunch and it was not very busy. We got the short rib pizza and cajun pasta. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The short rib pizza was definitely the star of the two dishes. We enjoyed the combination of the ingredients on the pizza. The unique combination of pizza ingredients options were what drew us to try Pie 314 in the first place. There was a nice balance of sweet and savory from the short ribs. I would definitely order this pizza again. The cajun pasta was alright compared to the pizza. We wanted to try an option that was not pizza, and honestly we should have stuck to the pizza. Whenever a really great restaurant starts expanding with new locations, the new locations are never as great as the original. This is the case with Pie 314. The original location in Castle Hills is one of my favorite spots in DFW but this one was just good. The layout is such that if they have live music on one end of the restaurant, you can't hear your conversation on the other end of the restaurant. The staff were all super attentive and friendly. Our food was good but dry. Overall, it was fine but I'll probably drive out to the original location next time I'm craving a pizza from Pie 314. read more

We tried the spinach and artichoke dip (2/5- it lacked flavor), the biscuits and brisket (5/5- amazing), a pasta dish I can't remember the name of (2/5- it also lacked flavor), & kids spaghetti & meatball (5/5- great red sauce). THE BRUNCH MENU IS A MUST!!!!! Went for the FIRST TIME today were pleasantly surprised. The food absolutely made this review higher, but the service was good also! We walked in and there wasn't a hostess to seat us (someone from the bar told us we can sit wherever we wanted). The place was not busy at all so we found a menu and checked the items first before the manager on duty (I assumed) came and told us everything is made in house/scratch. We decided to stay and sit in the covered patio at the front. The atmosphere was very relaxed, our table was clean and so were the silverware/ plates etc. Our server was really sweet and attentive and our orders came as we placed them (big plus in my book!) the only negative comment I'll write is that our first round of coffee wasn't hot (lukewarm at best) but when some of it spilled, the manager came and brought us FRESH, hot coffee. We got the "chicken & waffles" as well as the "biscuits & brisket" and I absolutely asked for a side of their bacon jam (WORTH IT!!!). Both dishes were absolutely delicious and huge portions (if your into sharing entrees, you totally can but for your first time got for different things and sample). Chicken was hot and crispy and the brisket was really good too (almost made like a chili?). The pictures were a little misleading about the amount the house made sausage gravy - they added WAY MORE than it shows on the menu. It was DIVINE, but too much of a good thing.. for us, it kind of drowned the taste of the waffle (so fluffy and light) and the biscuits (HOT and flaky). Next time we go, we plan on asking for the sauce on the side, or put halve of what they would normally put on the plate. I really wanted to try the bacon jam with the biscuit but the gravy made it super soggy (delicious, but all you taste is gravy. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE BACON JAM!!! I'm drooling just remembering it as I post this! All in all - we were very happy with the food, service and overall experience. We will be going back for brunch and again to try their pizzas! This is hidden gem in Fairview. We came here for lunch on a weekday and sadly this location is not very well visited during weekday lunchtime. As we were the only guests for a long time. But nevertheless the service was amazing. As soon as we entered we were greeted and seated. Our server gave us his recommendation on the menu and we opted to try their pizza, pasta and salad! And I have to say everything was presented beautifully and it tasted great! I ordered also the salmon with mushroom risotto and I absolutely enjoyed it. The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly (very simple and nothing fancy) but sometimes you enjoy your food even more when it is cooked well and simple! My risotto was maybe a little bit underseasoned but combined with my salmon it was great! Great place to come and hangout with friends and family! read more

I'm rating this on combined 2 visits. First visit we just got appetizers. Twisted breadstick, crab stuffed mushrooms and chicken wings. The stone ground mustard was good with the breadstick, but queso wasn't great. The sauce in the mushrooms were way too seafood flavored...making it very one note. The mushrooms couldn't shine. The wings were large, but the basil in it was overpowered. The service was excellent! Second time we had pizza and Italian beef sandwich. Both were excellent. Next time, skip the appetizers and go straight to the entree. Looking forward to adding a 5 star review on the next visit. Oh..they do make bomb $5 margaritas. read more

Came for brunch and it was tasty! Ordered their cinnamon rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, brussel sprouts with balsamic vinegar, chicken and waffles smothered in sausage gravy, and chopped salad. All the food was super tasty! My only complaint was that it took almost 40 minutes for our food to come out. It was a packed house, a cowboy game was on and santa was there with his reindeer. I was just surprised the salad and brussel sprouts could t come out earlier since they seemed quick to make. Unique place offering a hipster spin on Italian food. I'm not a fan of the pizza here that I have tried, but have enjoyed several other options on the menu. We come here maybe once a month since it is quite close to us but I don't think we'd return if it was any further away. With a name like pie 314, I assumed their pizzas would be the star of the show. Frankly I've been unimpressed and never order pizza when I am here. The one I tried was the herbavino and it felt like it was missing salt? It was very strange in flavor. I did a totally custom pizza the next time and it was just okay. Maybe next time I'll ask the server for a rec because surely they can't be named after a food they can't do well... I do really enjoy the artichoke dip but I recommend swapping out the crispy cracker things it is served with for their bread. The bread that comes with other dishes is great and makes a great complement to the dip...the crackers are not great. I've had the wings and they're HUGE and flavorful. The blue cheese that comes with is amazing. I do wish they offered other flavors. We were there during a football game and they had a $1 per wing (minimum 6) deal going on which is what prompted me to try them and I have ordered them a couple times since then. The kids pepperoni rolls are really good...my picky toddler won't eat them...we have tried, but we take them home and someone always finishes them off! I really wish they'd knock it off with the QR code menu. That era of Covid is over and it's time to bring back normal menus...everyone else has. It's just harder to browse the options on a phone. We are always pleased with the service and the atmosphere is nice...I just wish they really nailed something and we'd be more frequent visitors. This is a brunch review: Our server "Sunshine" was great, so no issues there. The food was just a bit unremarkable. It's not bad, but it could have been much better. Salmon Avocado Toast - This was fine. The portion was pretty great. Beach bod breakfast - Ugh, I know. Probably the wrong thing to order, but I was feeling guilty about the food I previous ate that weekend. You're served a paltry amount of egg whites (probably 2 egg whites). The chicken apple sausage was good, however. "Fresh squeezed OJ" - I dunno, tasted a bit sour, and there was a slight pineapple taste to it. Also, they filled the glass over the top with ice, so you're not actually getting that much juice. Who puts ice in their "fresh squeezed OJ"? Cinnamon Rolls - HARD PASS. Seems like they simply took some pizza dough, rolled it up with a small amount of cinnamon and sugar, and baked them. Good idea to re-use items you already have, but execution was a bust and they were tough and bland. Pulling them up from the cast iron dish they're served in, you'd expect to see a nice caramelized bottom, but it was just sitting in a pool of melted butter. read more

It took awhile to get a waiter to our table. Once he got there he was actually pretty nice and good. We ordered some appetizers. And it didn't seem fresh at all and did not taste good. We tried twice to order an appetizer and he didn't seem to hear and we never got it. Perhaps because the music was so loud. Mostly grunge rock. when a 9 year old complains how loud the music is you know it's loud! The booths were great and it has a great outdoor area. The bar looked like it has a col vibe. Had a date night with the husband last night; and we decided to try something new. Crazy because I never noticed this place before. So my rating is solely on food alone. This place is super cute; great vibe; great staff. Our waitress was amazing; super honest and explained everything great. Gave honest recommendations. We kinda ordered a little of everything to feel the place out. So we made reservations for 5:00pm (didn't need them on a weekday); there was maybe two tables and a few people at the bar. The food came out rather quickly. We started with the brussels salad, their charcuterie board and the roasted cauliflower. Presentation and portion size of this place is great! Price is comparable to most restaurants in this area. Now for the taste; the cauliflower was cooked perfectly... but honestly cooked perfectly in a steamed sense not roasted. I was very disappointed with this dish; it had me with lemon aioli; and we'll it was just a steamed cauliflower with no taste. No salt and the lemon aioli was like drizzled on one part of the cauliflower. They served it with a sauce that was not tasty. The brussels salad was ginormous; sadly they were a tad over cooked and we got a lot of burnt pieces and the balsamic reduction was barely there as well. The charcuterie board! Now that was my favorite; so yummy; they give you a great portion of cheese and meat. The purple cheese was amazing (don't know what it was) and the orange jam and mustard was a great compliment to the meat and cheese. We ordered the shrooms pizza and was guided to added a meat. I wish I would've picked a saltier meat (we chose chicken) this pizza looked amazing but was soooooo bland. I boxed that up and doctored it up at home. The short rib pappardelle; now I really enjoyed that; super rich taste needed a tad more salt; but executed pretty well. All in all our experience was good; just the majority of the food we ordered wasn't very flavorful. Their Signature Pie combinations are not your average. Their use of high-quality ingredients elevates each and every pie. The pie I'm most impressed by is their Signature Shrooms Pie. It's got truffle oil on it, need I say more? It's a mouthful of umami bursting right out at you upon first bite. To my pleasant surprise the shrooms are seasoned beautifully and the pie tastes and feels well-balanced in terms of toppings to pie ratio. I get a little bit of everything with each and every bite. I requested my pie come with the classic red sauce and on a gluten-free crust and I have to say they more than delivered. This was our first visit and wanted to try their pizza. The pizza was well cooked and they put enough toppings to please you. Pizza deserves 5 stars but... They serve water with a pitcher and the pitcher does not have a cover. The waitress leaves the pitcher in the kitchen area and serves water again. So, you need cover for that pitcher guys. Also, they have cloth napkins and we asked for regular napkins. They do not have any salt, spice, napkins, ketchup, or olive oil on the table. Why? Just put them there, customers do not need to request them from the waitress. Also, my husband was hungry and we asked for a quick appetizer while waiting for our pizza. The waitress suggested "cheesy garlic bread". The bread was dry and had a little bit of cheese on it. Also, they used a microwave to warm it. Please do not serve microwaved bread to your customers. Serving regular bread is better than stone-dry bread. Overall it looks like a good place but they need some improvements. We would like to try this place again because we like their pizzas. read more

First time visiting this location however are regular patrons at a location close to home. We happened to be shopping in the area and were excited to see there was one where we were so stopped for lunch but we're terribly disappointed. There was barely two other tables in the restaurant while we were there and one additional that arrived as we were concluding our visit. It became quickly evident that one of the tables was possibly the owner or someone of importance as the servers working were all extremely attentive to this family. We were given our food and drinks with refill drinks which allowed for them not to come back to check on us. The refill drinks became warm because we didn't get to them as quickly as hoped but it was all we had. The pizza we ordered was awfully undercooked but again we were never checked on. By the time a server had the time to come with our service bill we were very ready to go and simply pleased they recognized we were still there to give us or bill. I render two stars because we did express the pizza was undercooked which was able to be shown, and the associate, without asking, made an accommodation to the bill. Otherwise it would have been a one star. At the least the table of importance received good service, but I can NOT recommend this location at all unfortunately. read more

Had dinner with my sister and enjoyed the Herbavino and Carnivino, they were both delicious! These are definitely some fine artisanal pizzas or fancy pizza as I like to call it. Each pizza is big enough for 2 people unless you have a big appetite. If I hadn't eaten all day I could probably polish off a whole one. Also enjoyed a lovely Moscow Mule as the waiter was kind enough to tell us we had arrived during happy hour. I almost never grade a restaurant on their service, but our waiter and the staff were all very friendly and personable, which is always a bonus. My first impression of this place was "what a cute addition to Fairview!" This is the perfect place to hang out, have a few drinks, eat good food and relax. There is plenty of outdoor seating available so it's safe for social distancing. I tried the shrooms pizza which was very good! The bruschetta was also good however if you're not a goat cheese fan you may be disappointed. I also had the Como la flor cocktail which was slightly spicy but overall great. The best restaurant cheesecake in the DFW area, period and end of story. We also shared the apple pecan salad to go along with the pizza we ordered. I really enjoyed the vinaigrette dressing. The dressing was very good. The greens/apple/etc mix was done very nicely. Now for the pizza: As those who have filled me a bit know that I am an old Jersey boy where great pizza is royalty. Their pizza was quite good !! For Texas made pizza, this pizza is top shelf, no doubt about it. There are extremely few pizzas in Texas I would buy more than once. My wife and I started going here for lunch shortly after they opened. We love the chopped salad and meat lovers pizza. It is a lot to eat so we usually bring some home. We love how they make such a simple, good to eat pizza. We got talking to Sean, the owner, about doing a party at our house. No problem, he figured out what we needed and put it together. We have a big pizza oven at home and I love to experiment with it. However, it is a lot of work when we have several guests. These guys made it so easy to sit back and enjoy our friends and excellent pizza from our own oven. My son brought over his kids and said it was the best pizza he can remember.
