Amazing service when we went! Just absolutely phenomenal in this day and age and makes you love more than anything just how committed they are to the work they do. I got a small breakfast plate and my host had a coffee and there isn't anything I would change. The orange juice was delicious and I think it's hand squeezed or put through a juice pressure by hand. The ambiance is a quiet western/ cozy theme that helps you relax and feel sleepy especially on long day when you just want to nap just please come here and rest your weary head I loved everything about this place and I wouldn't be who I am today without their help. I owe them a lot for their service and dedication to excellency. The food is great but my to-go order is incorrect 95% of the time. Check your orders.

My last two visits have been really disappointing. First of all, the new system of standing in line to order is a terrible idea. People can't see the menus because other customers stand in front of them. No one is ready with a decision when it's their turn. Agreeing with other reviewers the employees are horrible. They act miserable t assist you and the others are grouped up By the coffee are lighting and giggling. Their shirts are an ugly color and you can't tell who is an employee snd whose a customer. Our soup was cold again. 3rd time this has happened. Isn't the soup sitting in a pot or a warming container in the back? How does that teeny cup get cold so fast. I had ordered a a quiche which was topped with a mango salsa which was to die for and a small side salad. Me and my boyfriend shared The Down South Biscuit and Gravy entree as our appetizer-this down right is the best biscuit and gravy I've had in the area-full of flavor and absolutely delicious. Another entree we ordered was the pulled pork sandwich-this was the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever tried (I don't even like pulled pork..at all) with German fries. Of course we could leave without trying their pies but there was so many to choose from-lucky for us they offer a pie sampler which gives you 4 small pie options-I tried the strawberry rhubarb, apple strudel, pecan, and I believe the last one was called buckle berry (I may be wrong with the same). From the entrees to the pies-there wasn't a single thing I didn't like. Not a single thing. It was well worth $60. Trust and believe you'll leave full and get your money's worth. You can tell everything was made in house and everything was fresh. Another thing I loved-they offer keto options. This is probably my new favorite brunch spot in Conroe. There is lunch and breakfast options too, but we stuck with pie and did the sampler, yes 5 mini slices of different ones, because, well you have to try all of them! Trying to find the words for this review is challenging, I really love the flavor of the food here but it is now time for me to find my favorites elsewhere. You know when you're hankering for something to eat to satisfy your pallet, I remember one time I visited it was late in the afternoon a couple hours away from closing and I was turned away because the kitchen was closed, 'oh, but you can purchase baked items if you like...totally bummed I left. Then yesterday I was heading out of town on a road trip and I decided to buy my lunch and 2 sandwiches. My lunch was a 1/2 sandwich (chicken salad sandwich ) with 1 side (Waldorf salad) the amount of meat on the bread was a little patch! I ended up folding it on one of the 1/2 slices and threw the other 1/2 slice away. I dismissed this thinking it was a standard for this menu item then later in the trip I pulled one of the sandwiches to eat only to find out the meat was very little again! How disappointing a $10+ item with very little substance. One leaf of lettuce, one small piece of Swiss cheese and a little meat that's it. The Waldorf salad is filled with yummy deliciousness so I wasn't disappointed that it was in a small container unfortunately that was not the case for my chicken/tuna salad sandwiches. 07/11/18 Wednesday 8:20 pm. The service was amazing the pie not so much. We ordered a chocolate silk pie which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was not chocolate silk it was not smooth and rich. It was chocolate pudding pie. I had the coconut cream pie which had a funny lemony taste as if they use the same filing for lemon pie. The filling had lots of coconut flakes but not much flavor and a bit dense instead of being custard as it should be, the whipped cream tasted like cool whip. Yuck!! The crusts of each pie were good but the fillings not. We won't bother to go out of our way next time. I recommend if you are looking for good pie you keep driving as well. You know... I like this place alot. A little pricey and maybe a little too off the regular menu selections that others are more comfortable with, but for a gourmet type restaurant, with great pie selections, this is right up my alley. I brought my daughter, SiL, and 4 kids here, that was a mistake, not their cup of tea. $11.00 for a burger without fries is not what they were looking for. mea culpa. We have been here several times for lunch and the food has been good. Today we tried it for breakfast. What a disappointment!! The coffee took forever and was ready when we were almost done with the meal. I asked for cinnamon sprinkle but didn't get it. When i asked for a spoon the. waitress looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about. The food- my husband got the Dads breakfast. waited for about 5-7minutes to get my drink order , then waited about 30-40minutes for my food to be out, someone that arrived about 20minutes after I did got their food before me. Ridiculous already, when my food came out 42minutes later everything was cold. Asked server that I wasn't trying to be picky but to please reheat my food , went to "reheat" my food and still came out cold. Another server came and said they will "discount the food after I had been sitting there for an hour and 10minutes waste of time. In my last review of Pie in the Sky Pie Co. I gave them a four star rating because I was disappointed in their strawberry rhubarb pie. Since then we have eaten there on several more occasions and have decided that this location truly deserves a five star rating. Today we visited Pie in the Sky Pie Co. for lunch and ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the French dip sandwich. Both entrees came with one side and for those we chose the garbanzo bean salad and the coleslaw. The pulled pork sandwich was absolutely delicious. The pork was moist, the BBQ sauce was sweet and savory and the bread was fresh and perfectly paired to the meat. The French dip sandwich was made using quality ingredients but the real winner was the au jus. Unlike the au jus you get with most French dips this one was not salty, had an amazing herbal smell and the flavor was quite sophisticated. The garbanzo bean salad was the hands down favorite of the sides. It had a high quality cheese, fresh vegetables, was seasoned perfectly and had a ceviche quality to it. The coleslaw was made with quality ingredients and had bits of green apple added to it which added character to what is usually an unimaginative side dish. If you are still hungry after eating the ample portions Pie in the Sky Pie Co. serves then I highly recommend trying their chocolate cream pie. This pie has become a favorite treat for my wife and myself. The chocolate cream pie has a very rich chocolate flavor without being over-sweetened. It's an adult flavor that suggests high quality European chocolate not some sugared treat for kids. I'm still not going to be buying their strawberry rhubarb pie but everything else we've tried from Pie in the Sky Pie Co. has been exceptional and reasonably priced. They serve a delicious breakfast, lunch and dessert. If you like quality food, friendly staff, abundant portions and reasonable prices you should try out Pie in the Sky Pie Co. read more

Good value, good flavor, customer service on spot. Saturday, just after noon, we meandered in. It was busy but had a few open tables and you seat yourself. We chose the patio and it was perfect. There were 3 in our party and we chose: 1. the BLTA and it was tasty. The bacon was crispy and the bread was toasted. It's a normal size sandwich, not bulky. 2. the PITS hamburger with bacon and cheddar. It was a monster and tast-eeee! The right amount of juice without being too messy. It's served on a beautiful fresh baked bun with a side of chips. 3. the Cran-Apple Pecan wrap, with grilled chicken. The salad base was fresh and crisp and the grilled chicken was plump and flavorful. The wrap is a plain old run of the mill green tortilla wrap, and it's BIg, but cut in half. Standard. I found it a little dry so you might ask for a side of dressing for dipping. And then... the PIE! Fresh Lemon Pie beautiful and light. Not too sweet and with a big dollop or fresh whipped cream. First time here. The food is fresh and really good. I ordered the burger with a side of mashed potatoes. The service was really friendly and good. We had a party of 12 and were able to put tables together where we wanted. There is table service and samples of the pie. They don't have Coca-Cola and they have papers straws (yuck), and no fries, so I can't give out a five. But everyone was satisfied and the portions were large. If you're over 60 or under 12 you can eat off the kid's menu. They have a daily special. Saturday is King Ranch and it was really good also. read more

Okay, so for starters, parking Is sparse when it's busy. Seating might also feel a little bit weird. A large part of the dining room is taken up by long tables which encourage small groups and individuals to sit together when it's crowded. You may love this or hate it, but it's noteworthy. Neither the kitchen nor the dining room service are particularly snappy, but this is part of the vibe. The room is loud and energetic, but not for anyone in a hurry. This is a place to come sit and talk with friends or ponder your coffee. We got off to a rocky start. I had the biscuits and gravy,, which comes topped with eggs. The gravy was reasonably good, if not outstanding, but the biscuit was dense and forgettable. And, the eggs were entirely overdone. The "hash brown casserole" was unusual, over-processed with a consistency more like cheesy mashed potatoes than any kind of hash brown. I was prepared to be upset about this but frankly as I ate it it grew on me. Which brings us to the pie, which was quite good. I went with the "pie split", which allows you to sample two pies with a small amount of ice cream. Unless you're fanatical about a specific kind of pie, I think this is the way to go. This is a near-four stars, the kitchen needs work, and that makes the current price point feel a little high. But, there is promise here. For now I can really only recommend as a place to hang out with your friends and drink coffee and eat pie. (And, if that's what you want, this is infinitely better than a Starbucks.) read more
