I have gone to Pie + Vine on multiple occasions and I have never been disappointed. I have tried a variety of their dishes, and while not all of them have been up my alley, I can tell they are made with quality and precision. A few notes: the boar bolognese has a strong gamey aftertaste so be sure that is something you want before getting it. The Bruschetta is the best I've ever head, with a thick balsamic reduction and very fresh burrata and tomatoes. The environment here has always been courteous and some of the best service I've had in Ashland. The ambience is nice meets dinner with friends. The prices are on the higher end but In my experience you can taste the difference

A Delicious Restaurant In The Heart Of Ashland, OR SITREP Never leaving to chance my food stops in Oregon (or ANYWHERE), if I have a friend who can proffer their expert opinion, I am all too happy for them to take the lead. In this instance, my dear friend Alexis - a resident of Ashland - suggested that this needed to be our go-to dinner stop while I was in Ashland for my brief time. THE SETUP There is something here for everyone, and true to point: *whereas Alexis went for one of their great dinner steak salads, I *I was all too happy to dive into their delicious pasta dishes - on this occasion I got the Chicken Parmigiana on a bed of linguini I'm such a terrible Yelper. I was so engrossed in our conversation I didn't even think to take any pictures before we dived into our dinners. But since I got such a large pasta dish, I DID take a picture of my dinner leftovers! (Ha) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pie-vine-ashland?reviewid=S1wp9zjGEVTbgfoUeaRsMw&select=v6hq9i-SpDzrICCndulnzw THE LOWDOWN Make sure to include time to have dinner here at Pie + Vine when going through Ashland, looking for that dinner stop!

We sat at the bar, and we loved our experience. The server was very nice and recommended a great wine. We had the focaccia and chocolate cake! It was very yummy!

We came in for a quick bite. We ordered Bruschetta and Pasta which was delicious. Our server Nicole was amazing. Staff were very friendly.

Stone Fruit mocktail....so amazing. Apricot with a little cinnamon.

Amazing! Fast, friendly, fun! What a great little gem in Ashland. I love it when restaurants have alcohol free options and this place has 6 fun drinks. I tried the stone fruit. Apricot, cinnamon, and a splash of apple cider vinegar you couldn't taste really. Brilliant. Mind blown. Delicious!! Entree was great. Boar braised ravioli with ricotta and basil. Oh my this was hearty. A bit like a beef stew but with raviolis. Shredded Parmesan to top it off. It came very quickly and I proceeded to eat it all. Large portion. It was so good I couldn't stop myself. Dimly lit restaurant. Very cosy. Great for a date night as well as family friendly. Large wine list of which I could not speak for but it is an option. They also have wood-fired pizza I will try next time I am in town and the desserts look good too!

Okay, five stars from me is very rare. All of the food from a party of six was delicious. I had the Calabrese pizza my partner had the risotto, she said two thumbs up. Will be back! The chicken Parm, meatballs, artichokes....it was all very good!! Multi benne

We were walking downtown Ashland and looking at the menu outside when a man from the restaurant said come in you gotta try it. We had reservations for later at another place but decided to get a glass of wine and appetizer, did not disappoint! Service was friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a glass of the house red and Irvine and Roberts Chardonnay. Both delish! Then the best thing I ate our whole trip the bruschetta!!! Get this, it's so damn good. The tomatoes are sweet almost like a jam, fresh basil, crispy bread and burrata. So good we came back the next day in the afternoon to get it all again before going home!

Sorry, just trying to describe the maze of hallways, stairs, chandeliers, oil paintings, and overly proper decor that you have to navigate to get there. I'm not sure what all that real estate is used for because only a small part of it was the active restaurant. Just keep following the signs. Once arrived, there's a beautiful view of the vineyard, nice cover from the sun, live music, and a pretty extensive dinner menu. This isn't some flimsy "light refreshments" affair. We opened a bottle of one of their blended wines. I don't know much about wine tasting beyond copying how my neighbor swirls the glass, mumbling about "tannins," and sensing a definite tone of "old books and leather." Long story short, the wine was pretty good! For dinner, we got an assortment of foods. Everything was serviceable but not terribly memorable. The steak was the highlight dish and melded beautifully with the sauce and sides. The service was more hands off, but attentive to our needs. This is a solid 4 star spot that I'll definitely revisit as a local. Great meeting spot to bring friends and family to enjoy outdoor dining and delicious wines.

A happy hour menu was posted in the window-from 4-5pm every day of the week. We got in during happy hour and were able to score one of the few outdoor creekside tables. Also had the happy hour fried chicken and hh burger, as well as the scallops off of the main menu. The burger was thick and juicy. My kids and husband said the fries were some of the best they've had-crispy exterior and soft interior. Fried chicken had a light crispy coating on the outside and the honey Aleppo mixture was great, though son said it could've used a little more salt. My scallops were some of the best scallops I've ever had before--so well cooked and perfectly seasoned and with these thinly sliced snap peas that were just barely blanched that added texture and freshness to the dish. The ambiance alone is great for spending time with your bookstore purchases. The service was friendly and quick. It was just the one guy when we were there, making coffees and running into the kitchen to make food. But it didn't take long to get our order. The kids had a steamer and a hot cocoa. They were a little warm for immediate drinking so maybe specify if you want your beverage less than normal hot for kids. The cocoa also had a bit of a cinnamon flavor to it. I thought it was delicious, but if you have a purist cocoa drinker in your party, again, ask! The adults drank drip coffee. It was tasty too! They had regular glutinous things like burritos and quiche that looked tasty but the gluten free!!!! They partner with a bakery in town (sisters sans gluten) to have a variety of offerings. I had a poppyseed muffin, but they had other breads and muffins that all looked good. The offerings change, but I was so excited to see gf options at all. Highly recommend this spot! Also!!! Our table was in their patio space, which I actually like better than the indoor part of the restaurant. The patio space feels very open and has a lot of live plants in the planters that make space between tables. It was a little warm on the patio since it was 98 degrees outside, but they keep it relatively cool on this mostly enclosed patio. Our server was great. She was so friendly and fun to talk to. She helped us figure out what we wanted to order and checked in on us just the right amount. You can tell the food here is very fresh and homemade. We started with the Deviled Eggs, which are really special. I love how they serve them over a bed of crushed up potato chips as they give this dish some salty crunch. Next we had the Beet salad, which is marinated beets over a whipped cheese. The beets do have a strong vinegar flavor, but it's balanced out beautifully by the cheese. My wife ordered the Mushroom Bolognese, which was probably the best dish of the evening. This is an incredible, vegetarian dish that is so meaty without any meat. The finely diced mushroom sauce is so good along with the handmade noodles. Also, adding burrata to it gives it a perfect creaminess. I ordered the pork chop, which was also excellent and enormous. It did take me a lot longer to eat since it was a little hard to cut, the compote on top added a great sweetness, but I feel like it could've used more. Also, the polenta and grilled asparagus was awesome. Lastly, we got the Rice Pudding for dessert. It comes with a hazelnut crumble and a dolce de leche sauce. Normally, I feel like rice pudding has a kind of thin, milky consistency, but not this. It is think and has a wonderful texture. It is probably the best rice pudding I've ever had. The nuts give a satisfying crunch and the dolce de leche sauce is light and sweet. Disclaimer: we did order one dish we really didn't like. It was a special salad with endives and lentils.
