Had a 12 inch apple caramel pie today which was supposed to be 2.00 off which they did not take off. Bill was 12.18, 12 for the pie and .18 for tax. I would not have minded because the pies are USUALLY really good. Today was not a good experience. The pie crust was too thick it was between 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick. It was very dry and had very little filling. I might give them a second chance because usually the pies are good. It will definitely take a while for this to happen. read more

This place is hard to find gem of pies. They have a great assortment of different pies. Some times they have specials that are good too. The pies are very delicious. The staff is friendly. It is very clean but not a place to seat and eat. This place would be worth your time. Be aware you have a lot of choices. Nice to have a couple pie shops within two miles of my house. I've had the Key lime pie a couple times now and everyone loved it. Apple was another great treat. Very nice clean shop and helpful service pointing out which pies were where . I did have the Banana cream pie on this last visit and will say while the crust was a little sloppy to serve so I don't know if I'd repeat this one. Pies galore here. I was really craving a Hawaiian huapia (coconut pudding) pie. I came here to get their coconut cream pie and it delivered a decent taste but of course nothing could match up to Hawaiian's own pie. I did try the German chocolate pie and loved that one. And I bought a friend a banana cream pie and they loved it! I have yet to try more. A slice of pie is under $6 while a whole pie costs $26. I did buy their savory frozen green Chile pork pie that I have yet to try. It's nice that they have both sweet pies and savory pot pies. This is a small shop. They do take Apple Pay. Stopped in on a whim when I was driving by. I really really wanted to love this place because I would like a go-to pie spot. But I couldn't even bring myself to like it. Paid the discounted price of $4 for a slice of the Triple Berry. It was small and average tasting, there was a weird salty taste in the crust that seemed to overwhelm the rest of the pie. There's a new pie bakery in my side of town and I love pies! This family run business opened yesterday on the N/W corner of Dobson and Chandler Blvd. While looking and drooling over the pie and cheesecake selection in their display cases, Erin the general manager gave me some insight on this is local business. After opening a location in Mesa then Scottsdale, Chandler is PIEfection's third location. While waiting for the renovations to be completed in the suite next door, the pop up store is offering whole cakes and pieces by the slice. The fruit in their pies never comes from a can and many goods are made following family recipes. I left happily with a slice of blueberry pie in hand. ($5.50) The blueberries were fresh and sweet. The crust light and flaky. Piesnob in downtown Chandler now has competition. read more

The crust. Good God. The crust. Don't get me wrong, the filling was phenomenal as well. But that crust is perfection. Savory, mealy and flaky with buttery goodness. I am 120 lbs and I just killed half that pie in a sitting. I don't know how. I may have blacked out from the sugar rush from heaven. When I came to, half the pie was gone. I went into a nearby business complex to buy a salad at another restaurant. Upon exiting with salad in the passenger seat ... I saw the sign that just said , "Pies" with an arrow on it. I thought, " well, I can't just drive by a sign that says, Pies and do nothing about it". Salad be damned. Pie took it's spot for lunch today and although I've probably just given myself a mild case of diabetes having consumed half of a chocolate mousse pie in one sitting, I regret nothing.Nothing. The pie! Oh my! The pie was delicious. We grabbed four slices and all four were gone by the end of the night. The location is tucked away in a strip mall, which looks like a ghost town. While the ambiance of the parking lot was not great, the pink and black decor inside felt like we were walking into a present. The Peach/Blackberry pie was my favorite. The peaches still had a touch of their firmness so they didn't feel slithery on the tongue when biting in, which made the texture complement the grittiness of the blackberries. The crush was crunchy, perfectly seasoned, and buttery. The banana cream was silky, sweet, and comforting. It ate like banana pudding on a pie crust. The cherry cheesecake was very creamy, it held well, but when biting in, the cream cheese filling melted and the cherry added a bit of sweet and sour to cut through the richness. I highly recommend this spot and prefer it to Pie Snob. read more

There were so many different flavors to choose from - both savory and sweet - and the staff was incredible friendly, especially as this first-time visitor asked for recommendations. Piefection has the best pies ever! I got a coconut cream pie for thanksgiving and it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted in my entire 65 years of life. Now we have to make a decision on which one to do for a birthday dinner coming up, with so many pie choices and flavor combinations it's going to be hard to pick just one! Mixed reviews. Pumpkin Pie lacked flavor but was okay. The texture was nice, but just bland. The chocolate cream was terrible. It was unable to be sliced, it just spread across the whole plate. I think they just had premade piecrust and filled it with some chocolate pudding. However, the savory pies that I purchased for the night before Thanksgiving were delicious. My husband's all-time favorite pie is blueberry. After seeing that Village Inn no longer had any type of blueberry pie, he had made a list of his 2nd and 3rd choice for his birthday. I had contemplated driving to Rock Springs or having a pie shipped from there, then remembered PIEfection was nearby, and was sooo happy to see Wild Blueberry pie on their menu! I called to see if it needed to be reserved and while I was told it did not, the person on the phone went ahead and made note of my order and time for pick up. On the appointed day and time, Christine had it sitting on a shelf with my name on it. I waited while she bantered with the people ahead of me, apparently also new to PIEfection. A deaf gentleman was there with a friend. Christine was engaged in a conversation with the gentleman and his friend with the friend acting as interpreter. In the end, he emphatically indicated that working there would not be good for his health and we all laughed. It wouldn't be for me, either! A large cooler with slices ready to go were temptation enough... Okay, so now for the pie. It was a double-crust wild blueberry pie with a heart in the center and looked perfect! The top and sides of the crust were flaky but the bottom was more on the wet side. Other than that, the crust was just what one would hope for - thick enough to transport and hold the pie filling without being so thick as to take over the star of the pie - the blueberries! And it was delicious! So full of berries, it was delicious! We now have a new place to get hubby's favorite pie! Next in mind is the Southern Pecan Pie, my favorite.... read more

My aunt with ALS came in here to get a coconut cream pie because it is one of the few soft foods she can swallow. My aunt recently has been having a hard time annunciating words due to her condition. The lady working yelled at my aunt because she couldn't understand what she said. After she finally understood that my aunt said coconut, she rudely said it's right behind you. Someone with a disability should never be treated this way. Employees like this make people with disabilities feel uncomfortable in society. I understand not being able to hear what my aunt said but to treat her so coarsly was uncalled for. I can't believe this is the kind of treatment my aunt received here. The manager of this establishment needs to do some more employee training to ensure this mistake does not happen again. 1 star because the pie is decent. read more
