Great location and a great deck area. The reason for the one-star rating is this: I was in town for business, and this place was only about an 8-minute walk from my hotel. I stopped by at 9:45 p.m. looking to grab a drink. I understand they close at 10:00 p.m., but they had two bars, and both were already closed. It was disappointing, as I felt they should have kept at least one bar open until their advertised closing time. read more

My husband and I went to Pier 22 last night for our wedding anniversary. We have been a few times before and always enjoyed it as a special place to eat. We reserved an outside table. We were redirected three times where to go for our seat. Not one person smiled at ass oror was gracious about the previous misdirection. The waiter was indifferent. Again no smile, no interest or small talk. When we left, no one said goodbye or thanked us for joining them. The girl on the way out was on her phone. The food is very good, part of what we're paying for is the service and that was very disappointing. We won't be back. read more

Built for boomers this menu is right out of flipping 80s! Just dropped $300 and we are all still hungry. I would assume if it says crabcakes, S plural; it would mean more than one. maybe it was cause it was two dollars off for happy hour. You only get one I don't know. Server was wonderful restaurants a joke. Well, I guess then menu does say one crabcake. Pier 22 is a large well-operated restaurant, with a large menu focused on seafood, but with something to offer for all tastes. The view of the wide river is delightful during daylight hours and the outside seating area is quite nice. The Pier 22 Salad was great and the Grouper Oscar with crab meat over corn risotto and topped with asparagus spears was exceptional. On a later visit, we had oysters (just one option -- they were large and meaty, but not the best flavor), Lobster-cargo (lobster in garlic butter -- excellent), fish tacos (delicious and satisfying) and some yellowtail nigiri (decent, but I'll stick with the regular menu items in the future). Prices, including for wine, are very fair for a high-end restaurant. Service was prompt and professional. I'll definitely return when visiting again! read more

This place has a great view but after many tries we have found the food subpar at best and the service was subpar also. On our last visit my wife and I had the 1976 salads. My wife had the smaller salad and I had the larger one. The only difference was the increased price and the portion looked the same for the large only in a bigger bowl. The salads were awful with soggy lettuce, they were watery, and had very little taste. The waitress seemed put out by having to refill our drinks and was not attentive at all. My family and I were visiting from Georgia and chose this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday after it was highly recommended to us. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We started with the shrimp cocktail, but the shrimp had not been properly deveined, which was an unpleasant way to begin the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was dry and had a strong fishy odor. Fresh fish should never smell overly fishy, especially at a restaurant known for seafood. The pea risotto was also very dry and lacked the quality we expected. Even more concerning, three members of our party became ill later that evening after dinner. Our reservation was at 8:45 p.m., and the restaurant closed at 10:00 p.m., which made us wonder whether some of the food had been sitting for an extended period before being served. Our bill exceeded $400, making the poor quality of the food even more disappointing. I did speak with the manager about our experience. While she apologized, our concerns seemed to be dismissed because no other guests had reportedly become ill that evening. Unless every guest was personally contacted after leaving the restaurant, it's difficult to know whether anyone else experienced similar issues. Beyond the apology, there was no attempt to make the situation right--no partial refund, no invitation to return before we left town, and no other gesture of goodwill. The one bright spot of our evening was our server, who was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service despite the disappointing food. Lastly, I would also note that the restrooms had a strong sulfur or rotten egg odor, which only added to our negative impression. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality seafood dining experience. Stephanie was our server this afternoon and was spot on! She was very attentive and since we were here for the fabulous happy hour that made a big difference. We come quite often and have enjoyed each meal. Love the blue cheese mussels, meatballs and the balsamic chips! We will request Stephanie next time for sure!!! read more

The food was great--Grouper piccata. The sunset was beautiful. Sitting outside on the water during sunset was very nice. But the server, E.........was rude, inattentive and incompetent. We've Escargo Calamari w/ white sauce Grouper cake w/ white sauce Chowder Mushroom Arancini w/ red sauce All are delicious, except the two white sauces - just too sweet. I asked for their red instead, which is so much better. I also don't care for their butter which is house made with butter, cream cheese, Boursin - tastes good but I prefer the simple butter. The chowder is good but Smith & Wollensky's having had it just couple of weeks ago, is better, not as thick. If I've to pick one in this area, I prefer this one over Oak n Stone. Parking is relatively easy on this Monday night. A great stop before the ballet in Sarasota. read more

I love this place! The food was decadent. We had the starter of balsamic chips (sorry, no pick) and they were fantastic. Our server was on top of it (bringing me another drink without even asking and before I was even out ). She was a gem! The restaurant location is perfect, right along the Manatee River (which goes out to the gulf), and our table view was lovely! They also have a side room for events. My sister and I both had our bridal showers here in the past and it's perfect for those sorts of events. read more

For our second annual reunion, a restaurant called Pier22, located in Bremerton, was selected as it was the mid-point for all attendees. Situated in a harbor, there were views of the yachts and water at just about any place you sat in the restaurant. We were looking forward to the camaraderie that comes with long-time friendships. We were escorted to our table by hostess Kassi who seemed determined to provide a memorable dining experience for us. A glance at the menu provided us with many culinary delights to choose from. Kassi explained menu selections and specialties in a way that enhanced our choices. Her customer service throughout our meal made us all feel special. From the clam chowder soup that was excellent to the flatbread and other menu selections we knew we were in for a treat. What a great way to start our meal. There were rave reviews from all of us as we feasted on each choice selected. I ordered the grouper sandwich, which was cooked to perfection. Kassi's customer service was a real credit to Pier22. They say great customer service starts at the top and Manager Jennifer's has insured her staff was ready to make a visit to Pier22 a memorable experience This up scale restaurant is sure to have you returning on many occasions. read more

Here's an idea maybe less dishes and fresh. If you are into an 80's vibe and ambience this is the place for you. Parsley sprinkles, wedding singer level music and plates looking like they are directly out a Julia Childs cookbook, tick tick and tick. Food ordered. - Escargot - good - burrata salad nice burrata but loads of sickly balsamic "glaze" - shrimp scampi pasta, bitter sauce which the pasta was swimming in - pork ossi buco. Pork was tender. Sauce revolting, potato grim, asparagus sad Service. Took 30 mins to get a drink. So bad we ended up asking for another server who did a good job. But she didn't bring it for what seemed like 20 minutes. Took awhile to get the check. Took awhile to get the change. Then the food. Shrimp was overcooked. Chicken was overcooked. Had a great dining experience here on Christmas Eve. Made reservations a few days before and was pleased to get in. Beautiful views of the harbor from our porch side seating. Finer dining prices in a finer dining restaurant. Lobster bisque was great as was the filet. Prime rib special for holiday menu was also great according to my wife. My partner took me for a birthday lunch and the experience was incredible. It started with an appetizer that is inspired by the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was truly remarkable and the dipping sauce paired nicely. I then was introduced to red fish, basically because it was on the luncheon specials. What a great meal. We topped it off with a crème brûlée with coffee and I was floored. If only the waiter was as talented as the chef, this might have earned another star. Where do I start?? Ordered a basic hamburger and fries. Asked for mayo on bun. Nope tomato so soggy and thin you could read a news paper through it. Fries tasted like they were 2 days old. Waiter was pleasant, but never refilled our drinks. My wife ordered chicken croissant. Should has been called and onion sandwich. Her tomato was soggy and paper thin. She left most of it. Way to expensive for such meadocre food. Burger King is far better and 1/3 the cost. 2 stars for atmosphere. My friends left most of their food on the plate. Enough said. read more

Came here while visiting family. It's down on the pier and has plenty of parking and free valet. It's a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were seated and our waiter was very good. The menu is different from lunch and dinner so not all items in the reviews are always available. Me and the wife shared the chicken penne pasta and the chicken bruschetta. Both were good but forgot pics. My nephew did try the alligator sandwich and said it was very good. The food is solid I wouldn't say great but solid along with location being on water and ambiance it's a solid 4 stars. read more
