The bartender was our server. We asked for our table to be cleaned and she seemed confused as to why the waitress hadn't cleaned it. She said she'd send someone over. After ten minutes we got tired of accidentally sticking our elbows in marinara sauce, I asked the hostess(?) for a rag to clean the table and she asked oh the waitress didn't clean it? The hostess came out and hosed the table with windex and I had to tell the server to move my food out of the way from getting sprayed. Pizza came out super oily and the salads were wet and sloppy. The food is pretty good. The plain pie is excellent. Salad pretty fresh. However, the price are quite high. That being said, this review is what happens when an item you paid for (e.g., soda) winds up not being delivered. It IS NOT such a big deal if they would make it right or have it delivered. However, this is not what happens. What winds up happening is you have to call several times & are given the run around and treated extremely RUDELY. You may be promised a refund that never happens. Then you wind up having to go in person the next day, because they have already closed for the evening & it is still not resolved. At this time you may be treated with skeptism by the person at the counter AS IF someone would actually go in there and make up a story to get a free soda. I guess they think their customers have all the time in the world to correct the mistakes made by their counter and delivery people. A simple ordering in of dinner turns into an ordeal that takes hours in the evening and lasts in to the next day when you have to come in person!! So, you wind up paying for delivery, food you ordered, and a tip, but you are treated awful when you inquire with them about making it right. This has happened twice to me already. There aren't so many take out places around here, but I will make an effort to travel a little further to be treated better. My husband and I came here on our first night of our vacation. The manager was super friendly and the place had a nice warm feel to us. They gave me a nice size pour of wine which was actually good tasting wine! My husband got a Mango flavored Ale which he liked so much he ordered a 2nd one! We shared a delicious house salad and I got a Panini which was very good while my husband got meatball sliders with curly fries which he enjoyed a lot! We had such a good meal that we came back a few days later! Shared a salad again and this time I got a Calzone which was delicious and big enough to share. On the last night of our trip we came back one last time and had the best meal of all! We shared a salad again and got the Baked Ziti. It was yummy!! We got more wine of course! This is the perfect "go to" spot if you want a nice hot meal and a beer or some wine. Wish they had a place like this near us in California. This is a new place that opened not too long ago that serves a pizza type very common in SI: thin, cracker crust pizza. Its got a great location not far from the ferry, its decor are classic, and the people working here are nice and hard working like most of the good pizza places in Staten Island. Furthermore, this place was opened by a former employee of Joe & Pat's, which is another older pizza place of the same type. While this is definitely solid pizza, I have to give the nod to the original. Like Joe & Pat's, the crust is cracker thin with no rise to it, with a bright, flavorful tomato sauce and good cheese. The main difference here is that Joe & Pat's is more balanced. They used too much mozzarella here, and even though it was good quality, I much would've preferred more of the delicious tomato sauce. Also the crust here was not as firm as the original, but this was minor even though it was the result of there being less char. These are two very similiar pies, but you have to know how to make your individual ingredients shine as well as the whole; I think Joe & Pat's did a better job in this regard. However, I'm sure some will disagree as my issues were somewhat subjective, and besides that this is still solid pizza thats unique and well worth a short walk from the ferry. read more

The perfect bite after a long day in the city post ferry ride. A simple pizzeria on one side and a bar with tables on the other with a full menu of a variety of Italian dishes and pizza. we ordered a calzone with ham and a buffalo chicken roll thinking they'd be quick (we were starving) and probably premade but they took a while because they were absolutely fresh! The dough was incredible and the roll was stuffed with chicken and cheese, calzone with ham and cheese as well. definitely need to go back and try the pizza as the table next to us made it look amazing! On a beautiful Tuesday evening my boyfriend and I hopped on the Staten Island ferry to enjoy the weather and have a couple of beers while watching the Mets/Yankees game. I yelped some places to go beforehand, and decided on Pier 76. Jackpot! Although the bar was full when we arrived, the owner's girlfriend, Kelly, quickly jumped in and pulled up some seats and made space for us at the end of the bar. She was so sweet and accommodating! On top of that, they played baseball for us on one tv even after it became clear that Rangers game 7 was their top priority. The atmosphere in there was electrifying. Everyone was super nice, open and just having a good time. Jeremy, the owner, joined us at some point and sent some pizza over to try- DELICIOUS. We had the fried calamari slice (whaaat??), Sicilian, buffalo chicken, thin crust and regular slice. This was some seriously great pizza. Pier 76 was so more than we expected, especially for 2 manhattanites. Great casual date night. This place is a gem! Well, the hubs and kid said the food is good but the AC is out, not that bad because there's a breeze but the bartender doesn't take a breath talking CONSTANTLY I can't even relax and enjoy this beer. Service, to me, is better earlier when it's less busy. Favorites - Arugula - arugula, red onions, grape tomatoes, reggiano cheese and balsamic reduction. Pepperoni - self explanatory Margherita - as is, but delicious with fresh basil, prosciutto or anchovies. Pesto - pesto, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. Other items worth ordering - Spinach roll - simple and straight forward. Not out of this world. Try it with marinara. Veggie roll - packed with mushrooms, onions, peppers, spinach and mozzarella. Fried calamari appetizer. Fried calamari salad - fried calamari, baby spinach, red onion, grape tomatoes and balsamic reduction. Decent beer selection. On some weekends the place turns in to a club after 10 or 11pm. Tables are moved out and DJ equipment is moved in. Not my scene, but many under 21s seem to love it. read more

Absolutely terrible! I order from this place all the time and it was always spot on. The past three times have been absolutely terrible. This evening I ordered a large pizza with mozzarella sticks. Pretty simple order. I ordered at 5:20pm, I didn't receive my food until 7:20pm, two hours later. I called them twice about my order. Once at 6:20 and again at 6:45, both times they told me my food would arrive in 10 minutes. When my food finally did arrive it was stone cold and absolutely gross. I ended up taking a few bites and I threw the rest out because it was so gross. The two times before this I had a very similar experience but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because things are hard now and I understand there are staffing issues. We enjoyed dinner before the movie at the St. George Theater. I had a very tasty eggplant parm entree. It was perfect; tasty and just the right amount. We enjoyed local beers on tap. It's very casual. We ate at booths set up at the bar. It took away from the bar, which was very attractive despite the booths where stools should have been. Hopefully it's temporary. I'm so upset. I have always ordered to go and tonight at 9:06 pm I went there with my 24 year old son and his cousin to dine in. We entered and immediately we were looked up and down and were told that they were closing soon it took me a minute to understand what was happening. My son was being profiled young Hispanic man going into a restaurant/bar. When we enter a row of white men looking and starring at us at 1st I of course didn't notice it because I'm not use to that behavior. A man stands up and says we are closing soon and I looked at my watch it was only 9:06pm and I said really I looked it up the closing time was 10pm. We weren't going to be long I only wanted a clam pie or Any kind of pie or salad. The Yelp indicates the pier 76 closes at 10pm. I tried it once before and from what I remember it tasted okay. But unfortunately the past two times I tried to Order and taste the food it was mission unaccomplished. The first time the delivery driver handed me a pizza that had cheese on one side, and sauce on the other. Maybe he took a hard turn. I've eaten in and got delivery from Pier many times since we moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago. I've always enjoyed the food and they really do make a mean pizza. Try the prosciutto and arugula - yum! Since my diet changed I've had trouble finding healthy options on the menu. The gluten free pizza is disgusting, it's soggy and tasteless. So sad and a waste of money. I ended up throwing most of it away. I love love love the Escarole & Bean soup, we order that by the quart. I'm not sure about allergens on that one, I'm assuming it's got dairy in it but I could be wrong. I also really enjoy the arugula or avocado salads. The atmosphere when dining in is pub like. It's pretty dark at the back of the restaurant which is a shame. If there's a sports game on the bar is pretty packed so it can be fun if you're looking for a sports bar crowd. read more
