Have been seeing this place for a few years now and, instead of us going to our normal choice of Urban, we decided to finally give this place a try. We went on a Tuesday night and it was overcrowded but wasn't empty either - there were a good number of people there for dinner. We initially sat outside since it was a nice night, but moved in since it started drizzling and we didn't want to get caught in any more rain if it came down. We expected inside to be bigger than it was, but it did have a good number of tables and bar seating. The lighting and decor were nice - have like modern, chic nautical feels. For you meal we shared the Mozzarella Sticks as an app, he got the Fish and Chips while I went with the Chicken Sandwich with the Pier sauce. The waitress said the sauce was like Chick-fil-A sauce and I thought she was making a loose comparison but, honestly, it really did taste like Chick-fil-A sauce but slightly more rich in flavor. And as someone who doesn't prefer fries, these were delicious! My boyfriend said he really enjoyed his meal as well. Truly enjoyed the drinks and appreciate the nice pours of tequila shots. Glad we finally have this place a try. Recommend checking em out and, because it's close to us, sure we will come here again.

I wish I could've done more research while in the area, to find other restaurants or cafes nearby. I made it to Pier Bar and it was cool. The spot is nice for happy hour and smaller groups, but don't expect that you will be seated immediately. They have their regulars that they prioritize. With that being said, the staff was friendly but not super inviting and kind of standoffish. They have a great menu, so I tried oysters and their lobster tail. Both were exceptional and seasoned extremely well. The food tasted really fresh and I would come back just for that. The food is their saving grace, but their employees could be a little more friendly and helpful. They also weren't super knowledgably on how to split a bill, and I ended up wasting another 15-20 minutes waiting for them to void a transaction and split a bill.

Absolutely loved our experience! We sat at the bar and had amazing service. The food was delicious--highly recommend the mussels and tacos ! They were fresh and flavorful. Also loved the cocktails and the lively atmosphere with fun music and plenty of TVs, making it a great spot to catch a game while still enjoying great food and drinks. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Sometimes I don't want to stay in my neighborhood but I don't have it in me to go to center city, either. That's how we ended up here. This is a laid back neighborhood place and we were able to drive from West Philly and park close to this bar and find two great bar seats. The decor is very cool as it's all nautical-themed. It reminded me of something that would pop up in a beach town but all it took to get here was a drive to Fairmount. We ordered cocktails off of the happy hour menu but eventually switched to vodka- sodas. The fried clams were delicious and hit the spot with an order of fries. (All from the happy hour menu). I really liked this spot. It's a great option for happy hour or any hour.

This was the perfect spot to eat, drink, and catch up with family. We sat outside and were able to enjoy the Fairmount neighborhood. The food was delicious and I plan on trying the mussels next time. The service was great and we didn't feel like we were being pushed out the door. Drinks were amazing and, fair warning, the biteback margarita is pretty spicy. Overall, we will be coming here again for more girls' nights.

Great vibe for hapoy hour. Nice, spacious outside area for lunch, dinner or happy hour. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and came out hot. The drinks for the happy hour menu were tasty. My favorite was the Captain's Choice with vodka, passion fruit, lime and club soda. Great neighborhood spot.

Solid spot! Was visiting Philly and a friend lives down the street - we decided to stop in on a Sunday and it was much busier by the time we left around 6pm. Staff was so nice and food was good! We ordered ricotta toast, poke, and mussels to start. We also tried chicken sandwich with fries- very good. I also had a gin cocktail that was lovely. Overall really liked the ambiance and cozy beach vibes inside. Thanks for a good experience!

Went for happy hour. Got a burger (very yummy and thick patty) and fries. Burger was $9 I think, fries I forget. A can of some ipa was 5.50. Great food, coolest atmosphere!

This is a great place to go for happy hour especially when it's warm out. It's right on Fairmount Ave (which I always love since everyone's out and about and the vibes are here great!) I enjoyed both my drinks and the food, and our waiter even gave us a free ricotta and bread since apparently they made extra! Overall i would definitely come back here to try more items on the menu.

Already came back for dinner and I can confirm that the food, service and vibes are consistent. Prices are very reasonable as well! This time we ordered the white mussels, shrimp tacos and soft shell crab sandwich. We preferred the red over white mussels, but this was still super flavorful and fresh. Shrimp tacos were outstanding and the soft shell crab sandwich was filling and had a nice kick to it. Fries that were paired with it was so addicting. This restaurant is lively at night with a great selection of music. Highly recommend this place!

The food and drinks were great! It is a bit small inside and no reservations. Very happy with our meal and the service!

Situated on the finest corner Fairmount has to offer, Pier Bar clearly makes the neighborhood more lively and elegant with its outdoor strung lights, abundant seating, and classy facade. Inside, the space is intimate, with dim lighting, and a modern touch. The service and the food are both pretty good. It isn't exactly a "value" restaurant where you get a ton of delicious food for a low price (always the ideal), but it is a nice space for a date night or just a random outing with friends. I would certainly take family here, particularly given the nice outside experience. Brussel Sprouts - Tender brussel sprouts with a sauce similar to balsamic vinaigrette and fried onions -- very tasty. Would recommend these, but we were really going for the shishito peppers which were unfortunately out of stock -- not a bad substitution. Cheese Burger - A pretty good burger with amazing fries. The burger was well put together, though I wish it had more cheese. It was tasty, but a little dry for a "medium" cook. I would give it another try. The fries were so crunchy and well-seasoned; they were delicious. Value: 3/5 Quality: 4/5 Quantity: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

I didn't expect to enjoy this arcade as much as I did. I went this past Memorial Day and…read morethankfully, it was not packed AT ALL, it was basically empty. I do think if I went on a day where it was packed, I would not have enjoyed it as much. The racing simulators are pretty cool! The chair shakes while you are racing in order to give it as much real effects as possible. As your driving/racing you have to pay attention to the guides on the floor in colors red, green & yellow signifying you to slow down on certain curves and turns on the different tracks. When you pay for a race, five rounds of racing is included. You can pick your level of difficulty for each round. I went with "rookie" for all of my five rounds and each track was different. It was neat not knowing what to expect each time you began and it was cool to know you could enjoy it even at the most basic level, which is rookie. The food was not bad, but I could've done without it. The fried chicken sand-which was kinda salty, but I was a fan of the truffle fries. The prosecco was good, light and extra bubbly (not pictured). I think the interior was very nice! Being that there was barely anyone, I got to capture some pics which was nice! I see this as being an arcade you enjoy, when it's not many people, as couples and with some friends. Not a place to frequent often, I think.

Very disappointing experience at F1 Arcade Philadelphia during NBA Finals Game 3…read more Our group of eight professionals chose F1 Arcade to watch the game, order food and drinks, and support a local business. With approximately five minutes remaining in the game, the TVs were suddenly turned off without warning. We initially thought there was a technical issue, only to be told that everyone had to leave because it was after 11:00 PM. The issue wasn't that the venue was closing--it was how the situation was handled. No one informed us beforehand that the game would be cut off before it ended, and when a member of our group respectfully expressed his disappointment as a repeat customer, the security manager on duty, Dante, responded aggressively, used profanity, and stated that he "didn't care" because he makes more money than any of us anyway. Customer service and professionalism matter. Unfortunately, the manager's behavior turned what had been an enjoyable evening into a negative experience that left our entire group questioning whether we would return. We hope ownership takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the customer service issues and management conduct at this location.

Dear reader, Little…read moreGay Pub was quite easily one of our favourite spots in Philly. We went with a group two nights in a row, and everyone had such a great time both nights, which I think says rather a lot. It is not every place that earns an immediate return visit, let alone the very next evening. The music was good, the drinks were great, and the staff was super nice and friendly the entire time, which made the whole experience even better. The place was also really clean, and it never felt too crowded, which was especially appreciated with a group. There was room to actually enjoy ourselves without feeling packed in or shouted over. The rooftop was absolutely the crowd favourite and was so nice with the great weather. It really gave the whole place an extra bit of charm and made it very easy to settle in and stay a while. The location is also excellent, which made it a very convenient spot to come back to. Overall, this place delivered a thoroughly fun time, good drinks, and a very easy atmosphere to enjoy. We would absolutely go back and would happily recommend it.

The name sounded so cute, we had to pop in!…read more EXPERIENCE: ID's are checked at the door. There's a staircase that leads to an upstairs and a possible rooftop deck but it was never open when we went (Monday & Tuesday nights). A small seating area with quirky decor, high tops, a long communal bench and booth greets you, followed by a few bar and countertop seats thereafter. Monday night featured a "DJ" taking requests and playing musical show & movie tune videos which was fun but they oddly closed at 12:15 am when the place was fairly busy. Tuesday night was boring with nothing going on. LIBATION: Male bartender made a pretty good espresso martini. SERVICE: No friendliness here. Bouncers were like robots with no personalities. No waitstaff is available so head to the counter for everything. Bartenders were alright. OVERALL: Okay place to have a drink and talk. Head elsewhere for dancing and liveliness.
