Honestly, my husband and I can't stop thinking about their pierogi. Best Polish food we've ever had. We ordered the Date Night package which was plenty for the 2 of us. The pierogi, faworki, and the toppings were all very fresh and tasty. We ordered all 5 flavors that were offered: mushrooms & sauerkraut, meat, potato & cheese, strawberry, and blueberry. The packaging indicated the ingredients clearly. No preservatives or ingredients I couldn't pronounce. Several minutes after I placed an order online, Halszka, one of the owners reached out to arrange the delivery. Very friendly, prompt, and communicative. Please support this husband-and-wife owned business!

Delicious pierogi! I surprised my Polish friend by bringing these to a Valentine's party. My friend is elderly and has not been back to Poland in 30 years. I ordered all of the savory and fruit-filled pierogi on the menu. He loved them so much, he teared up and said the pierogi reminded him of his mother. The delivery was on time and packaged with ice packs. Email communication with Halszka was timely. I will definitely order from this company again.

Wow the only place I have tried pierogis before has been Costco, and although I do love Costco, let's face it, it's not the same - this place blows them out of the water and is definitely my new spot for an authentic pierogi fix. We ordered the potato and cheese pierogi, and the meat pierogi. These are really great, there is minimal dough that's wraps the filling super thinly and I think that's the best part. I should have ordered more as I could have finished a dozen of these in one sitting. Oh and the really cool thing is they let you order directly and they come with ICE Packs! Who does that?

Ask the Community - Pierogi Rulez

Do you make potato and onion pierogi?

We make potato with sautéed onion and farmers cheese. But if requested we are happy to make it without cheese :). Also we make pierogi custom flavor for OEB restaurant in Newport Beach, CA which has potato, sautéed onion and dill. I hope that helps!

Are you collecting donations towards assistance needed in Poland as the country receives Ukrainian refugees?

We do accommodate special requests. Please contact us via email for further information pierogirulez@pierogirulez.com

Have you ever made them with butternut squash or peaches when in season?

Unfortunately not, but we are constantly adding new flavors so perhaps in the future :)!

Any gluten free Pierogi options coming?

From their website: "We tried and it's not the same. BUT if you eat gluten-free just from personal preferences and don't have celiac disease, we recommend ordering the traditional type anyway. Our pierogi dough is extremely thin, delicate and…

Disappointingly quiet, we entered the cozy restaurant adorned by newspaper clips, polish coats of arms, and were greeted by our friendly waiter. I had the meat patties ($24) which were delectable. Rich ground beef and pork spiced perfectly and fried with an accompanying gravy. Rich, but not greasy. My wife had the chicken schnitzel ($30) which was good but not groundbreaking, and the kids a number of perogis ($25) I found excellent. Accompanying the two adult meals was soup (a delectable tomato and a surprisingly sour savory pickle) and salad. We concluded with a delicious strawberry jam crepe ($15, see photo). The soup and meat paddies were the strongest entries on the menu that evening. The service was warm and genuine, taking our order, giving recommendations, communicating in polish as per our preference, and the restaurant was cozy and clean. Prices, as listed above, were reasonable considering the accompanying soup and salad. Overall, Polka is a solid restaurant with excellent food and service at a good price. Delicious, hearty, and with a cozy atmosphere it is perfect for a date or small family looking for a genuine taste of Eastern Europe. Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5

It may just also be my favorite deli in LA for anything vegetable/side dish. As other reviews note, the selection of prepared foods for such a small shop is staggering. I've been coming for three years now, and while I'm guilty of ordering my favorites often, I think I'd have a tough time making my way through all of the foods on offer even if I switched it up on each visit. 4 different types of meatballs (the chicken breast one is to die for), lox, cabbage rolls, at least a half dozen cooked seafood options (shout out fish in tomato sauce), stroganoff, 3-4 different types of couscous and plov....and that's only half of the non veggie section. The cakes are great (Black Forest and walnut go hard). The Russian/Ukranian chip flavors rule. There are specialty candies and jarred foods and good looking fruits and veggies. There's an off menu soup with dill and little chicken meatballs that I'd recommend to anyone ailing in a heartbeat. And then, finally, we arrive at the salads and cold veggies. Nonstop bangers. The beet salad with prunes and garlic may sound wild for non Eastern European tastes, but it's unique and addictive and works. The potato salad Olivier? Best potato salad I've ever had. My wife has recently discovered the zucchini, which looks like a bunch of unassuming diced veggies but tastes savory and complex and herby. You'd be the hero of every picnic or backyard bbq ever grabbing side dishes from here. Seriously. The kind folks who work here will let you sample too, which is helpful when there are so many options. Some places wear their culture on their sleeve, fill your stomach with the love of a home cooked meal, and remind you that diverse communities are the heartbeat of this city. Admire the always-on-point "People Love Us On Yelp" sign as you arrive. The free parking lot offers nice and ample parking spaces for disabled customers as well as tables upon arrival which can comfortably accommodate wheelchairs. Sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, low sugar and no sugar added cookies, pastries and cakes, caviar, dried fish, pickled Herring, perfectly ripe berries, smoked fish, halva, cheese spread, jams, and artisan teas, all five stars. But wait. Is it a Russian-American market where I find the most Ukrainian imported groceries and ways to support Ukrainian farming?! Yep! +Heart hands emoji+ This market does a great job of offering a nice seat and friendly conversation to the average dine-in customer. Stop by to sip on an imported pear juice. Try a bite of fresh cream cheese cake with berries. Ask for advice! Go for the Beef Plav which is an employee favorite. The Beef Plav here contains a generous amount of tender, lean beef with carrots, savory buttery rice and whole softly roasted garlic cloves. Yum! (Five stars!) About six years ago, I had been exposed to high levels of radiation according to a good old fashioned Geiger counter. My health began to drastically decline and I became very weak. Our commitment to the people and values which help us survive the impossible compels us to rise to the occasion of coming back stronger and better than we ever could have accomplished before or alone. So I'm drinking bone broth, eating extra protein, taking vitamins. And lifting weights with steadfast determination to recover my strength and then some. (Go Navy!) No market has helped me more in this health effort than this hidden gem. (Many thanks!) I am the customer who buys ALL the boxes of pastilla. (SORRY OTHER CUSTOMERS!) Pastilla is a layered pastry made of baked apples and eggs white, no sugar and nothing else! It's a miracle of a snack! Tastes like apple cake, made of egg whites. The brown bread is good, though a bit hard which is fine. That's an 8/10. The sourdough bread is a 4/10 - it's flavorless. It comes with a tiny bit of eggplant spread which is a 6.5/10 and I'm glad I didn't order that. Herring salad: 6.5/10. Would have been a 5/10 had we not ordered bread to go with it. It gets salty. The price is also terrible - $13.75 for a tiny portion, which factored into the rating. Chicken Blintz: 5/10. Had higher hopes but was disappointed. It's mostly just a lot of cream and not enough actual flavor. Was saved by adding some herring salad to it to give it some more flavor, salt, and acidity. We got the bread because the spreads do NOT come with bread, which is crazy considering the price of the spread. Decor is cute. The server was nice. My friend does like this place and this was her second time here, but I can't justify the price and the flavor of what we ordered. Parking is free but in a tiny strip mall so limited parking.
