I'm telling everyone to stop,stop right now while you're searching for that perfect pizza place in the Poconos area of Pennsylvania. I have found it. Piero's pizza and hoagies eatery has put the love back into the infamous "Meat Lovers" pizza. Yes you have to ask for them to add chicken and yes you have to ask for vegetables like peppers or onions and mushrooms but past that when you add them you have what we like two call in the food lovers world an epicenter no wait a phenomenal cornucopia of flavors that will blow your mind. The staff is more than willing to help serve your pizza desires, and ensure that you have every flavor you're looking for. It's a small restaurant, but the ambience is well worth the wait. Sit down and enjoy some mozzarella sticks. Have a Coke zero and talk to the guest. You'll be amazed at the people that will talk to you. I'm a New Yorker who comes to Lake Ariel frequently. Service is excellent with friendly staff. Pizza is the best in Lake Ariel area hands down. My 10 year old daughter says it's the best pizza ever, but I'll stick with best in Poconos. I highly recommend this pizzeria. read more

In NEPA, you get one of two things with pizza: thick oily crust Sicilian with loose marinara & cheese that sticks to the roof of your mouth, or classic New York style round with thin crispy crust. Piero's is the latter. Love this pizza! My go-to for takeout. Deliciously perfect crust, semi-sweet sauce and plenty of melty cheese. If you're doing hoagies, rolls are always super fresh. So, we love the plain pie for all the reasons you would expect. Really, really good plain pie. We tried the sausage & onion once an it just didn't do it for us. It was mediocre. Hate to pull the Jersey card but we are used to really good pizza and Pieros has a darn good plain pie. I'd put it up against anyones. Honestly, we haven't explored the menu because it's far from our home in Hawley to order from and there are closer options. We usually hit a slice when we're on our way to Dickson City or just in Hamlin picking something up. The time we got the sausage & onion, we were on our way back into town and got the pie to take home. Of course we couldn't wait and had a slice on the ride home. I have frequented this place for probably 10 years on my visits back east. It's never been a disappointment in all those years. The most glorious thing about Piero's is CONSISTANCY. There are several other local places to get pizza, but this is my preference in town. This to me is how it should be. Grease on top.. flour on the bottom. They are quick, consistent and always friendly on my visits. The price is very reasonable as well for non-chain pizza. Ingredients cost money, especially quality ones. A large pizza for 10 and change plus tax is reasonable in my book and should be by any standard. Stop in and say hello, order a pie or a slice. You can get it to stay or to go. I've also had the wings and they are pretty darn good from what I can remember. read more

I was a bit wary about trying this place but another customer at a store I was in suggested it. I walk in and see horror... no masks. A girl in the back had a mask on but other than that nobody had a mask. This is why I gave them three stars. They have signs everywhere about masks but don't wear them. I suggest trying to go there (and seeing for yourself) because we might have caught them at the wrong time, maybe they wear them and it was lunch break??? I'm not sure. :( The pizza was good, we ordered a large plain and a small half sausage half meatball. It was a little oily but still very tasty. I think I would go there again, the staff is friendly and the pizza was yummy. Good for a quick bite. read more

Our go to pizza place when we are at our PA house. Being from North NJ it is a bit of a challenge finding decent pizza when out of the area. Piero's puts out a good pizza whether it's plain or with toppings. The wife and older daughter are big fans of the eggplant parm pizza. The only thing I'm not a fan of here is the white pizza because they put onions on it but I'm told that's a Pennsylvania thing. read more

A regular, okay slice of pizza. Nothing truly remarkable, but it's ok being average. The ceiling is pretty cool, there are tons of hand-painted panels up there which gives the place a bit of fun and character. Staff here is friendly enough, too. Very disappointed. It used to be that Piero's pizza was the only decent pizzeria for many miles around........Regardless of how many businesses go under and are all empty around it......But yesterday we went to buy 2 pepperoni pizzas, one sicilian pepperoni and a dozen mild wings.....It was so disheartening to get home to at least one day old pizzas, ice cold, when supposedly it was just cooked, why did we have to wait over 20 min. for iced cold pizza??? The wings were hard as rocks, no amount of zesty sauce could save those babies, and to top it off, the white sauce that came with the wings was petrified into a hard rock that was all yellow and green when I broke it open, I almost purged when I saw. So very disappointed, and sad that the few patrons it could hold onto in that empty location....are not appreciated ,but insulted to never return. The worst $55 we ever spent, so sad. read more

It's your usually pizza place, a few tables, and not much else, but I've found it to be the best pizza in the area. Very similar to NY style. Really good flavor. I've had the pizza twice, will try a whole pie soon, as well as their chicken parm. All in all very good stuff, and friendly staff. read more
