TLDR: A decent local pizza spot. When I came in, there was no one at the counter, and two other folks waiting. By the time I got to the counter, just a couple minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready, it needed more time. Was delayed about 10 minutes (and this is on a Wednesday). The seating area is nice enough but the place was soooo hot. Not sure if they hadn't turned the AC on yet for the season because it's April but I was sweating while waiting. Another thing to note is that, while they don't have garlic knots, they have a lot of other non-pizza options like pasta, bowls, chicken, and even burgers. Their pricing is on the higher side (1 XL with topping is about $24) but sometimes we get random coupons in the mail (like get 1 XL topping, get a free small cheese). The extra large is also not what I would consider extra large-- I would say it's more like a large. Similarly, the small is like a personal pizza. read more

Where to start, I only do "take out" here. The plus: Great pizza! But, the cost has gone up so much, I can't afford this pizza unless I get two meals out of it. So, I started ordering my pizza with extra cheese. I would eat half and make the second half a second meal to justify the cost. This by far, was the best reheated pizza ever! But now it seems like they are skimping on the extra cheese. Way less extra cheese than in the past. I can feel the difference when I am carrying my pizza out. Reheating comes out dry and cardboardy. The negative, they close at 8:00pm during the week, and fairly early on the weekend, and most times when I go to order on-line, even at 7:00am, it says store closed, but I don't get that notification until after I enter my order and payment info on-line. I would probably order 3 times a week if they were open later. Papa Gino's, which I grew up with in MA, has gotten this missed business, and they take orders until 10:00pm during the week. read more

We are partial to the exlarge pizzas. We usually get these for get togethers because the pie is delicious and for the money( coupon to order online) the price is very affordable! The staff seems always friendly and the counter area always clean. read more

I don't typically review chain restaurants, even quick service, but I am making an exception for Piezoni's. I really like the Cuban pizza and the steak mushroom bowl with brown rice which I order with extra mushroom, light onion, and add plantains. So good. read more

Used to be a great bang for your buck, but with these recent price increases, your money can be spent elsewhere. I would drive a good distance just to come to THIS Piezonis because their quality is amazing. But, I don't see myself coming back anywhere near as often as I do with the new prices. Ordered lunch today. Paid 90 dollars and it all went into the trash. Chicken tenders, gross, rice bowls... they half melted cheese slices over the dry mix... wraps.. no choice for guac or sour cream and no sauce of any kind so the whole thing was dry and disgusting. Possibly the worst pizza I've had in the east bay. Ordered the ultimate pizza and the mixed green pizza. The crust is absolutely terrible like cardboard with zero taste. The crust is so thin it doesn't support the mixed green salad. Had to literally eat it out of the box with a fork Any attempt to take a slice out just fell apart. Should have just ordered the salad without the pizza cuz that's what I basically ate. The chicken was also very salty which I found odd. The ultimate wasn't as bad, the toppings were ok but the crust ruined it. Overall there are much better pizza places in the east bay than this, I'll take a pass. read more

Very disappointed. Let me start off by saying I have been going to Piezonis before Piezonis ever existed. Stay with me... Throughout high school, I would go to Pepperoni's in Barrington several times a week to devour their amazing BBQ chicken pizza while my friends would eat the Buffalo Chicken. The owners of Pepperonis franchised and rebranded as Piezonis. We ordered from here today and 2 additional times within the past 4-6 weeks and each time was dissatisfied with our meals. We didn't say anything as we don't typically complain or bring issues up as we chalked it up to "someone new" in the kitchen. Maybe we should've brought it up earlier maybe not... either way... As previously mentioned its clear the store has clearly taken a turn for the worse, let me explain. Our order typically consists of a variation of the Smokey Joe and/or bbq chicken pizza and probably a salad or 2. When we order the smokey joe I get it with crispy chicken and pizza cheese versus grilled chicken and Swiss. I have been getting this for YEARS this same exact way from numerous stores and its always served the same way. The chicken is always cut/chopped and tossed with bbq sauce and topped with plenty of cheese and there was always the several strips of bacon on either side of the meat. The last two times I ordered the Smokey Joe there are 3 or 4 chicken fingers laying in the sandwich on top of a light sprinkle of pizza cheese along with 2 slices of bacon and the bbq sauce BARELY drizzled on top. There is quite a noticeable difference from the countless times I have ordered this sandwich to the way I have received it recently. Starting with the cheese, it was barely noticeable. I didn't think there was cheese (both times) until I pulled up quarter chicken that was laying on top of a slight sprinkling of cheese. There were two very thin bacon strips laying on the side of the bread and on top were 2 - 3 huge chicken fingers fully intact. They certainly didn't skimp on the meat portion size! But again, they were whole which makes it terribly difficult to eat. This last time, one of the fingers was over cooked so it was tough to chew which made it even worse. Finally the BBQ was barely there. It reminded me of a strip of ketchup that you would put on a hotdog. Instead of coating the chicken with the sauce like it has been done billions of times before, they wanted to save time and maybe costs and skimp on one of the key ingredients that make it a SMOKEY Joe. The second thing is we ordered a LG BBQ chicken pizza half black olives (see attached image). What I USED to get is a pizza with a hearty portion of SLIGHTLY burnt crispy chicken, that was tossed in BBQ sauce with a light drizzle of BBQ on top to finish it up. Has been like that for YEARS! Same thing, each and every time. The drizzle of BBQ may range from zig zags to spirals depending on the cooks mood but it was always perfect! Now, the amount of chicken that is on the pie ranges from 1-2 pieces a slice down from having so much chicken it was basically falling off each piece. Today's pie they didn't even coat the chicken in BBQ sauce, if they did it was VERY little as I couldn't taste any BBQ on it at all and neither could my family. And there was no extra swirl of BBQ on top of the pie to finish it off! Our previous BBQ chicken pizza that we had a month ago or so the chicken was tossed in BBQ but there was no added finish of BBQ and again they skimped on the chicken. I'm not sure if management changed, kitchen staff changed or if the store/franchise is just cutting corners due to increased expenses but I won't be back, and that sucks. I get that we are in a weird time right now and on top of everything inflation is definitely a thing but I would rather pay more for that PERFECT sandwich or PERFECT pizza then pay the same and get a subpar product. A little sign on your counter or a pop up on your website notifying customers that your costs have increased X% and therefore the store prices will reflect that increase to keep the same quality that's always been there goes a long way. Please bring back the OLD Piezonis before you started cutting corners. The way Joe and Danny ran it in Barrington before they decided to franchise. read more

We are fairly frequent customers of this Piezoni's. The staff is always very pleasant and our carry out orders ready in time. The app for my phone is easy to use and makes ordering simple. Our standard order seems to be a pepperoni pizza and and a Greek salad and both are very good. This evening I ordered for the first time a cheese and pepperoni calzone. It is not a typical calzone as the outside is cheese and is cut looks like a half of pizza cut into two pieces. So the look may not be traditional but it was great and looks like it will replace pizza as my go to dish. read more

Recently moved to the area so I thought I'd give this a try. Got the BBQ chicken pizza. It was thin crust, which I like, but I ended up eating two little slices and threw away the rest. I didn't see or taste any cheese on it. When you opened up the box you saw blackened crust and so much barbecue sauce on the pizza that you couldn't see anything underneath it. I went to PieZoni's today with an appetite and wasn't disappointed. Wings were crispy and juicy and it was truly a bite of delight. Me and my family ordered two extra large pizzas which were Hawaiian and Buffalo chicken. PieZoni's has the best sauce I ever had at any pizza restaurant. Not to mention the best Buffalo chicken pizza at a chain. The only reason why I gave your establishment a 4 and not a 5 star rating is that the ham on the Hawaiian pizza had very little flavor, the bacon and pineapple made that pizza. read more

This is the newest addition to RI's own little pizza franchise, and it was certainly welcomed into the lunch rotation at my former workplace. Many a time would I go busting into my co-workers' office with the words "Smoky Joe!" on my lips. What is Smokey Joe? It's a barbecue chicken pizza. With bacon. BACON! A-MAZ-ING! I also really like their salads. The salmon over salad is great, and served with feta and a pita that is yummy to stuff with the salad contents. The buffalo chicken salad is also really yummy. Another favorite, the Big Bird - Turkey, cheese, bacon, and cranberry... ooooh yeah. Seriously, the combination of price and good food meant that once in a while we would take a lunch break together and walk to get Piezoni's, even in the middle of winter. Seriously. I work in the area and have used this restaurant multiple times for one reason ... constantly GREAT food. I've had their BLT (which is insanely awesome), their pizza, their chicken parm sandwich, etc etc. Never had a bad experience. The delivery is generally quick, and everyone is very friendly that works there. I'm hoping they open a location closer to my home someday. Highly recommend! read more

I've been a loyal customer for quite a while, but I had an absolutely terrible experience this evening. I placed an online order for 6pm delivery. The delivery was on time, but I was given someone else's order. I called the store as soon as I realized I had the wrong order (maybe 3 or so minutes after the driver left), and they said the driver was going to come back to correct the mistake. It took the driver a FULL 30 MINUTES to get back to my house. He arrived with no food at that time. He picked up the order that he incorrectly gave me in order to bring it to the other house, which was only a couple of streets away. It took him a FULL 15 MINUTES to come back with my food, which was now cold. I called the store to request a refund, and was met with resistance, despite my years of patronage. I was offered a measly $20 credit toward a future purchase. That simply wasn't good enough. The manager was incredibly inflexible and said that the owner has not authorized him to solve problems like this one. I'm incredibly dissatisfied that I paid $47 for a COLD meal that arrived a FULL 45 MINUTES LATE. read more

Food is okay, normally over dressed Italian grinder, but delivery either gets their when they get there or they forget some part of your order behind. If it's a soda, a condiment, half your order, etc. Then after contacting them back, you'd think they may prioritize their mistake and get to you sooner than later. But that's not the case, they allow the driver to do the entirety of his next set of deliveries and leave you for last, as your order becomes soggy, cold, and wretched to the point you'd like a new order now that your lunch/dinner has been ruined. However my cousin told me of a poor customer service experience where her sandwich was not to her liking and they were rude, blamed her for taking garnishing off herself and even the manager was very rude. Super yummy meatmall pizza! Their pizza is small and thinner crust (not thin crust, but not traditional) and the cheese bakes into the edge and gets all crisp - YUM! They're super fast and friends and a great spot to pick up a lunch or dinner when in a rush. I recently got a salad there that I wasn't a fan of, it was super fresh, but lack of excitement would be the way to put it...lots of fresh iceberg with a less than ripe (but not old) sliced tomato. Stick with the pizza and you won't be disapointed! I think they do gluten free too! read more
