Pigya is in my top 3 favorite Korean BBQ restaurants (not ayce) right now in LA! The meat quality here is exceptional and I really like how the stone grill cooks the food. It's also a plus that your server cooks for the table. The banchan is fresh and kimchi friend rice with ramen at the end are a great way to finish the meal. Tables are a bit small but the whole vibe of the restaurant is lively and is usually packed for dinner. Highly recommend next time you're craving Korean bbq!

Pigya is going to be my new top kbbq spot in LA! Was in awe of the amount of food that comes in the set at this pricepoint- you can't find this anywhere in OC or LA. For my party of 4, I got the larger set that comes with both pork and beef meant for 4-5 people and the food just kept coming! We were absolutely stuffed by the end. Quality of the meats were amazing and perfectly cooked. My favorites were the wagyu beef belly, which the server torches in front of you, and the short rib. One thing I will say is that the meal felt a little rushed as the servers would constantly be cooking each meat one after another so it was hard to keep up, but I get that it's a very busy restaurant. Banchan that comes with the set is amazing, not a huge variety like some other kbbq spots, but every single one is high quality and essential to the experience, which I honestly prefer! Kimchi cheese fried rice and ramen at the end capped off the experience for me- such a perfect ending. The ramen was also surprisingly spicy! Our server was amazing, very friendly, and even let us know about dessert recommendations nearby. Obviously K-town parking is a hassle, so make sure to prep beforehand and leave some time to spare, especially if you have a reservation. I made a reservation through Yelp which was super helpful as I could see long lines forming here. All in all, couldn't recommend Pigya enough! Will definitely be back.

Came for dinner to celebrate a birthday with a group of 8 and it was super easy to make reservations on Yelp. We ordered 2 of the pork combos, one for each table of 4 and it was more than enough food. Soo delicious and they cook everything for you. The Yukhae was our favorite appetizer. I also loved that they had chimichurri as a sauce, which paired so well with the pork. They grill the kimchi and bean sprouts on the grill, which makes it taste better. The combo also came with my a steamed egg. Love that they end the meal with kimchi fried rice and ramen, although I wish they gave kimchi or soybean stew as options instead. Service was very attentive and checked in on us often to see if we needed any refills on sides/salad. Very reasonably priced combos and we will definitely be back!

A group of friends and I came in and Ansley loved the quality of the meats and all the sides. This place is definitely THE spot and it does get super packed especially on a weekend or Friday night. The perfect place if you're looking for high quality meats and options. Everything was sooo good and we also got drinks which were great. Definitely a great pick in Korea town.

Took around 40 minutes when there was 7 groups ahead. Expect to wait a while despite the yelp time saying otherwise. The service was quick and the meat was great. The pork belly itself was alright. A little bit too chewy. I really liked the salt they provide and it was unique to see chimmichurri as a dip option. We got the pork gyu that comes with beef and I think the beef is better than the pork haha. The hangover ramen is not great. More like watery shin ramen. The half head of kimchi was awesome. So generous with the grilled veggies.

A group of friends and I visited Pigya for the first time on a Friday evening and it was a great experience! We made reservations online and were seated right away when we arrived. The service felt a little rushed which I understand since there were a lot of people waiting outside. There were a lot of big parties celebrating graduations when we were there. We ordered the Pork Gyu which was $109 and worth it for our group. Everything was delicious and full of flavor! If it's your first time trying Korean BBQ or you are looking to try a new spot, I highly recommend Pigya! Also make sure to make a reservation ahead of time!

This has got to be the one of the best KBBQ experiences I've ever had. Even though it isn't AYCE, their combo sets are perfect for a group of 4 to 5 people. My positive experience was defined by how fast and attentive the service is, the amount of food, and how good the quality of the meats are. As an avid AYCE goer, I've always been worried about the potential food insufficiency since we don't do like to eat and get our money's worth. I can tell this restaurant gets their hype from not only having great quality cuts, but also their hefty portions. We ordered the pork gyu set and as a group of 4, we were more than full! I love that they close the meal off with kimchi fried rice and hangover ramen. It was a perfect meal!

In a city full of the best Korean barbeque restaurants, Pigya has to be near the top, especially for a food lover of pork. And the value of food and service is outstanding. My son-in-law's mom raved about her first visit to this establishment, so suggested that I could take her spot when they went back to celebrate her middle son's birthday. Opening in 2023, this location was formerly a 'Honey Pig' (another pork-centric K-BBQ place), also known for their black iron grills. It is open only at night (7 days a week), and one can use Yelp to make reservations and get on their waitlist. They have two tasting menus: pigya ($79 for 2-3 people, $95 for 4-5) and pork gyu ($89; $109), each coming with fresh pork belly, pork cheek, steamed egg, steamed egg, wagyu carpaccio, kimchi fried rice, hangover ramen. The pigya adds pork cheek and pork belly chadol (choice of with or without sauce), while the gyu adds boneless beef short rib and wagyu beef belly. We had to make a choice (we chose the 4-5 person pigya) before we sat down, and the fresh meat came promptly after we were seated. The center piece of the round table is the black iron skillet, whose gas light was turned on once all of us were seated. Along with utensils, each of us had a ramekin of different seasonings, which I didn't really use. It was a tight squeeze for the four of us, since a space had to be reserved for the cook to be able to prepare the food on the grill. Once it got hot, the fresh pork was brought out and the cook used the pork grease to season the iron dome grill. Fresh kimchi, seasoned soybean sprouts, onion, sweet potato slices, and sliced king oyster mushrooms were added to cook on the side, which we could grab at any time. A pre-dressed salad bowl was brought to share. Other sides included radish and rice paper wrappers, seaweed, cucumber kimchi, and japchae. Later white onion, yams were added to cook on the grill as well. All it took was a simple ask to the cook, and he/she would quickly refill any of the sides that we wanted more of. We started with the one beef dish on the pigya, wagyu carpaccio. The beef was sliced super-thin so not much substance, but it tasted delicious with wonderful texture. Next was the steamed egg, which we shared and enjoyed. Then it was the main fresh pork plate (seasoned simply with salt and pepper), with the various pieces being cooked at different times, sliced to the optimum measurement and left on a warming screen for us to grab and wrap as needed. Having good chopstick skills makes it a lot more enjoyable. I enjoy eating unmarinated meat with radish wraps, so ended up using quite a bit of that. Our cook(s) were excellent, helping each other to make sure everything was cooked until done (we did not have to interject to keep from overcooking, which isn't always the case at full-service K-BBQ places). Once the main plate was all cooked (but not completely consumed), the pork belly chadol came out, with a bit of marinade and scallion. It's thinly sliced so cooked quickly, but then was finished by our cook with a blowtorch to quickly crisp up the edges. As one could imagine, it was delicious. Prepared kimchi fried rice (with optional cheese) and prepared hangover ramen in a metal bowl was brought out and reheated on the grill. If the food needs to be cooked, it is done by the restaurant, either in the kitchen or tableside by a cook. The diner is responsible to put their selected portion into their own plate or bowl. I really appreciated the expertise of the chef/server who grilled all the meat for us, allowing us to converse (and drink) without worrying about grilling the meat. And it kinda sets the pace of the meal: not too fast, but keeps everyone moving as well. The four of agreed that we definitely could have eaten more (there were no leftovers) but none of us left hungry. I will admit that if it had been an AYCE, I would have focused on only a few dishes instead of sampling everything they had. I can't think of any of the dishes (meat or banchan) that that I didn't really like. Drinks are in bottles, so soju and bottled beer (along with constantly refilled water pitcher) were the beverages of the night. Ventilation was OK, though you will smell like BBQ afterwards. The eldest at the table (father of the birthday boy) treated, so not sure how payment works (it seemed seamless). He said we were good to go, so all of us left with contented bellies, walking (slowly) towards the nearest Metro train station, which happened to be Normandie.

I was recommended Pigya by a couple of friends and we decided to finally try it last night. The place was absolutely packed for a Sunday night, not surprising at all, but we were seated right away. They offer $4 valet parking which was stress free. Inside, vibe is really lively. The music was so loud that my friend and I were basically shouting at each other, so just know what you're walking into. Almost felt like I was at the club. We ordered the Pork Gyu tasting menu, which was the second option that offers beef. There was plenty of meat for two people and honestly could have fed a third. They cook everything for you, which I loved. The boneless beef short rib was easily my favorite and I wish there was more of it. Just be prepared to tackle the pork belly towards the end if you're in a smaller party. Banchan was limited, but loved that they kept the kimchi and bean sprouts hot on the grill. They were also out of rice paper was that was really disappointing. The chimichurri sauce they offered was so good though, I skipped the sesame oil entirely. Overall, extremely lively place, tasty kbbq spot with great service and plenty of food.

Such a good spot for dinner! Their valet lot is small so keep that in mind. Restaurant is clean and always packed but staff is quick and attentive. Writing this is making me crave it again lol

Went out to grab dinner at Pigya in Koreatown. We got there around 10pm and were seated immediately. Our serve came around and took our order and after a couple minutes our tray of meat came out. We ordered off the tasting menu and got the pork gyu set which came with 4 meats. 2 pork options and 2 beef options. The pork were pork belly and pork cheek (jowl). The beef was beef belly and short rib. The staff here cooks for you so it was nice not having to cook my own meat. They have a tray on top of the grill for when the meat is ready. We started off with the beef followed by the pork. Both of the beef were super tender and flavorful. The pork cheek had a nice texture to it. Kind of like a mix between cartilage and meaty texture but not crunchy. The pork belly was a good potion of lean meat so we liked that it didn't just taste fatty. The set came with beef carpaccio, kimchi fried rice and ramen as well. The beef carpaccio was thin and marinated very well. It literally melts in your mouth once you eat it. It did not taste raw at all. kimchi fried rice and ramen were pretty standard and a nice way to end the meal. If you get cheese on top of the fried rice they will torch the cheese as well. Since we came before closing they didn't have valet parking. We got to park and just go in. Once you enter the restaurant they have a check in tablet in the front to sign in. Make sure to watch your step as the floor was a little slippery.

Came here for my surprise birthday dinner with friends. We had valet parking for $4 but we were able to park at a street no problem. We had a reservation at 5:45pm and we were seated right away. They have set menus or Alacart. We choose the pork gyu menu as it has a variety selection of pork and beef plus kimchi fried rice, steamed egg, and ramen. It was a lot of different items on the menu. The dipping sauce and salt was very good. I liked the green tea salt, wasabi, some type of sweet soy sauce, and herbal asian dipping sauce. Ooh the barbecue was so good. One of the huge plus is you don't have to force yourself to eat everything you can take leftovers home and I liked how the servers helped cook your steak. The atmosphere was cool Korean music to match the Korean BBQ vibe. My favorite meat? Absolutely everything and devoured it all. I will be back. Love from San Diego!

A restaurant literally named pork, yet it's been so hyped up I knew I had to come thru! My party of six shared the Pigya Tasting Menu and Chef's Signature Cut. Each serving of meat was chopstick-lickin' good. The sides? Keep em coming! Service was fairly quick and attentive; our server was amazing! Throughout the night, he manned that grill and kept the meat cookin' and comin'. Most were clean, pure, and unmarinated, and there was a variety of sauces to dip the meat in. My biggest surprise was how much I thoroughly enjoyed the pork. All my friends know I strongly dislike pork. Never in a century would I expect to be chopstick dueling for another piece of pork after an initial tasting... Our server consistently cleaned the char off the grill, and in the end loaded up our fried rice and ramen. We were already stuffed by then, but that last bite really just sealed the stomach. Our server never once skipped the beat with sides, rice paper, salad, etc. Not even water. Top-tier service at Pigya makes me want to return to ASAP!

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

We enjoyed the Large Beef Combo. There were 5 of us, but my grandaughter is a vegetarian. The meat, all the sides, the service, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. As for my grandaughter, she found plenty to eat that allowed her to enjoy the experience as well. I would recommend Ahgassi Gopchang to everyone. At least try it once. You will keep coming back.

The service, however, was outstanding and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. If it's your first time visiting, finding the entrance can be a little confusing. We parked on the street and spent a few minutes trying to figure out where to go. For anyone visiting, it's much easier to enter through the parking lot, where the restaurant entrance is located. The banchan (side dishes) were quite good, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside. The decor was fun and unique, making the dining experience feel more special. Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I'd come back, especially for the service and the overall experience.
