When we saw this place had a 4.7 that was already a good sign. We are new to this area we just happen to stop by before we left for our hometown because it seemed cute around here. We are very lucky to stumble across some of the best coffee ever. It is one man running this place which is so impressive, and it seems he truly takes his time to craft each drink. I got the affogato which allowed me to taste the blend of the coffee really well. The dark chocolate and nutty flavors were incredible. My boyfriend got a caramel latte with oatmilk and that was quite quality tasting as well. The atmosphere of the cafe is quite nice and there is very comfortable seating. I hope I can come back again someday because I won't forget the amazing coffee blend they use here! read more

Pilgrim's is another great coffee shop in the Downtown Fullerton area that is already flowing with great choices The prices here are affordable and cheaper than a couple of the other local shops and the gentleman working the counter is always friendly and makes a quality drink. Pilgrim sits off Wilshire near the outdoor dining area for all the restaurants and offers all of your favorite drink choices and has indoor and outdoor seating options. My first experience here years ago was not a good one, I got the completely wrong drink and left feeling unimpressed and it was a good year or two before I came back to give them another shot and I am glad I did. I have had nothing but good things to say and great experiences since that initial visit long ago. The only thing holding them back for me from a 5 star review is the quality and consistency of my drinks seems to diminish when other workers are behind the counter. Maybe I am just used to how the gentleman makes the drinks but the taste is often far too sweet when he isn't working which is a problem I get a some other places I stopped frequented. I definitely recommend giving them a shot if in the Fullerton area as they do offer a great array of lattes and frappe flavors that other local shops aren't offering. I have been wanting to try Pilgrim for awhile now and am glad I did. Very nice shop with calm ambiance. Tori helped me as I was wanting iced and decaf. She said she could do just about anything! Located in downtown Fullerton just a couple doors down from Mulberry Street Ristorante. Street parking might be sparse but there's a big parking lot in the back that you can usually find a spot. Unless it's a weekend night and then you're pretty much SOL because Downtown Fullerton is a hot spot on the weekend evenings/nights. Anyways... I had some work to do ... needed a caffeine fix and WiFi. This place hit all the right spots. My iced vanilla latte with almond milk was tasty..... not too sweet, not too coffee-ee. Ya know... it hit the right balance. And the WiFi worked great and was easy to log into. AND... get this... they have outlets pretty much all over. So, your device(s) never need drain! Bonus! When I was there it was about 11am on a Friday so it wasn't too busy... and the vibe was all business as the other folks in there were also 'heads down'. I once wanted to introduce it to my boyfriend and we went and we were catching up on a lot of stuff like homework and quizzes. We eventually wanted coffee but it just took us a while to settle in. A few minutes into our seating we got uncomfortable because the barista was just looking our way. A few minutes later he came up to us telling us we had to go if we didn't purchase anything. Chill vibes for sure, seems like a good place to get some studying done. This is my first time drinking there so I can't really judge the drinks too much. I got an iced mocha and it was super smooth, and made well. I liked it. The guy working here was super friendly and put a smile on my face. He suggested great options and made my first time very pleasant. I'll be returning to try more coffees. They also have some dishes, like brunch type, and a few pastries. LOVE this place! The owner is very nice. I brought my 5 year and of course he ordered a hot chocolate and without even asking, he made it kid temperature and gave him a spoon for his whip cream. According to the website: "Staff wears masks." Not true. I asked the man who was working on 5/26/21 at 10:30AM why he was *not* wearing a mask. His reply: "I don't need to, I have been vaccinated." I pointed out that he could easily transmit the virus to customers who have not been yet vaccinated. He shrugged. This is an irresponsible and dangerous business practice. On a separate note, I asked for a decaff coffee. Without telling me, he made a decaff espresso and added hot water. When I pointed out that those are two different drinks, he stated that he doesn't brew decaff because there is insufficient request for it. I should have been informed before the fact. read more

I feel like Night Owl across the street has a lot of busy noise, but Pilgrim is very calm quiet. Which I prefer. There is free wifi, outlets, and plenty of seating. Great for coming to study, work, or catch up on some reading. They do have different drinks besides coffee like kombucha. But my go to drink is the hazelnut latte. Jeff is a kind and artsy fellow who runs this amazing space. The coffee is delicious. He brews great lattes--both hot and iced. Most people don't do butterscotch, and if they do flavorings they tend to drench it in sugar. Not Jeff. We also loved the space. Jeff has artists' work on his walls and hosts small gatherings to showcase local work. The space has so much natural light, is really gorgeous, quiet, and spacious. We rarely find a place like this where you can get a cup of coffee and relax, on comfortable leather seats without having to fight for space or yell to hear each other. Definitely frequent this space, tip well, and use it if you're looking for a GOOD cup of joe, some R&R, or a good workspace. You can help him out by giving his hot cup sleeves back if you don't need them, and bringing your own straw. The staff is always really nice and it's a good environment to either sit and study or talk with friends or read a book or whatever you want. Despite being in downtown Fullerton more often than I'd prefer, I really never even knew Pilgrim's was around until I decided to do a search for nearby coffee shops (and didn't want to do Dripp or Night Owl). I was impressed with the highly recommended reviews, and have made several visits to Pilgrim's since. :) Located on Wilshire, it's essentially across Half Off Books, and across one of the entrances to the covered parking. It's near Tranquil Tea Lounge and Rialto Cafe. It honestly has a bit of an unassuming storefront. There is a large window where you can see people lounging about or studying. When you walk in, you go straight to hit the register. The menu has your typical espresso drinks, though I come here to grab hubby a matcha green tea latte (iced) while ordering for myself either straight nitro, kombucha, or some other iced drink. I've always had consistent orders, and anytime I ask a question, no issues or deviations from what I've had before, so I'm super happy on the consistency! Espresso is good, drinks aren't too sweet, and you can customize them within reason. I haven't had any of the food items, but I know I need to at some point in time. Service has been good! Again, hadn't had any issues, they answer all of my questions, and very accommodating. :) Overall, good place to just get an espresso drink, or just sit in one of the chairs and study, read, or browse the internet. read more
