Excellent in every way. My husband and I go out to eat at least 4-6 times a week. This is by far our favorite restaurant! One thing that you have to understand is that everything is consistently great every single time. You can count on it. The food is fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The servers are friendly, helpful, fun and attentive. The prices are fair and reasonable. 2 for 1 drinks all day. We love the outdoor seating as well as inside. The restaurant is always clean and spotless. We have ordered crabs, fish, key lime pie and shrimp to go. Everything is always fresh and beautifully packaged. Ouch....just no. Will not come back. Oysters, I have had much better in the area. They did not taste good. Sides were mediocre at best: rice was overcooked and carrots were undercooked and very bland. Service was just awful tonight, no checking up on us after we were served, we had to cancel our 2nd round of beverages because it was too late by the time someone else brought them over. I enjoyed a fabulous meal here with my Mother and Sister on a quiet weekday evening. The restaurant is tucked away in the back and a little tricky to find via GPS. Plenty of parking to be had though once you find it. Service was great the entire evening. Our server gave us good pointers on the menu but I don't think you can go wrong here with anything. I chose the lobster tacos with broccoli and an IPA. My Mother picked the snocrab legs with fries and my Sister got a salad with grilled shrimp. Everything came out hot and tasting extremely fresh. My tacos were fantastic and the broccoli was cooked to perfection being not too hard or overcooked. My Mom enjoyed her crab legs and made quite a mess snapping those things open to dig out the good stuff. My Sister got two full skewers of grilled shrimp for a total of 20 with her salad which seemed insane. I helped her out though and ate a few. I came away very impressed with Pinchers and the quality and freshness of their dishes. Too bad I don't live in Florida so I could become a regular here. read more

The good, was the service. The bad? The food. I ordered a $25 Snapper that was drenched in blackened seasoning. The seasoning wasn't even cooked on all the way. Clearly they don't know how to use butter in a pan to baste a nice fillet. It was an absolute dreaded piece of fish. I will not be going back. I get inflation, but now it's just all about max profit for very fishy small portion food. Btw never get the crab grouper cakes, it was pure salt to the point I couldn't even eat it. Good place in the center of Main street in Lakewood ranch. Came in for a quick late lunch and enjoyed it. I went with the grouper sandwich, fries and cole slaw and my wife went with some crab claws and a salad. We were happy with all. The grouper was nicely done, although the bun was a bit soggy. The fries were done to perfection; just the right crispness and seasoning. Service was great. Pricing seemed a bit higher than average which could keep us from coming back often. read more

We usually love the service and food at Pinchers, and normally frequent the Venice location, but tonight we tried the Lakewood Ranch one. Night and day. The waiter was rushing us, the appetizer came out after the meal, and he kept interrupting us. I ordered the mussels marinara and there were several that were unopenable (undercooked). The Venice and Fort Myers Beach locations are much much better all around. We won't return to Lakewood Ranch. read more
