    Clam scampi

Wow, the clam special was amazing tonight! Their homemade pasta made the dish. We had another great meal here. My husband had the salmon and it was very good. As always our waiter Johnny was terrific.

Pine point grill is a small cozy place not far from Pine point beach. It has a small bar, outdoor seating and a dining room. It's the holidays and they had several seasonal cocktails on the menu. I have a pomegranate margarita and my husband the expresso martini both tasty. We shared the Caesar which had a Parmesan crisp on top, delicious. My husband enjoyed the pizza and I enjoyed the gf bolognese. The waitress, Annie took special care in double checking my food allergies, much appreciated

Bolognese, a little flat. I would not order this again.

A true locals spot that feels so comfortable when you walk in and dine. The service was outstanding, very accommodating, and the food came out quickly. The food was really good, but not great, and it was very affordable. It is a very quaint/ feel-good restaurant.

I've been to the Pine point Grill five times in the last year and a half. Service has always been top shelf, food very delicious, and the place is always filled with people enjoying their meals. Tonight I had the Caesar salad, which was fresh and crisp with Parmesan shavings on top, and of course I had the anchovies on top. Emma was my server, and she was amazing

Cute restaurant in Scarborough with fresh seafood dishes and great pizza. I got the shrimp and scallop scampi and it was very good. My friend got the catch of the day which was the halibut and that was also tasty. The service was great and friendly. It is a smaller restaurant with a small bar and some covered outside seating. Make sure to make a reservation cause it gets busy. They also have a large wine list and a cocktail menu. On the fancier side and a little pricey but worth it!

Stopped in last night on a recommendation from a local, so glad we did...and really glad we made reservations too, don't think we would have been seated without them, but with them we walked right in. We were looking for oysters, and these were amazing, sooooo good. We also tried the seafood chowder, which is chock full of scallops, shrimp, and haddock and, in my view, is comfort food at its best. To round out dinner, my friend and I split the shrimp & pesto pizza. This is really good! The crust on this pizza is thin and crunchy, and exactly as I like it. For dessert, we ate the banana creme Brule. I am normally not a big fan of banana desserts, but the banana flavor was so light, it almost wasn't there and the crust had been torched to perfection; it was very good as well, a lovely way to top off dinner.

I thought there should be a salad with the entrée. The portions seemed skimpy for the price, and there should more choice on the menu.

I ordered extra cream sauce. There was a decent amount of seafood too. Chef Dakota makes me want to hop in the car and take that two hour drive JUST for that pasta. It was THAT good! And listen, even the Caesar Salad was top tier. They did not come to play. My Hubby had the Fish & Chips and absolutely loved his meal too. The food was excellent, but the experience was just as good. Service was amazing, the bathrooms were clean, and the inside was CHIC, intimate and romantic. It was the perfect atmosphere for our restaurant date night. Joseph's has that elevated coastal feel without feeling stuffy, and you can tell they take the whole dining experience seriously. They've been serving Old Orchard Beach for decades and have a strong focus on fresh, locally sourced seafood. DO NOT have the disappointment of showing up without a table. MAKE A RESERVATION! Would I drive two hours again for that pasta? ABSOLUTELY.

How lucky that we've been in Portland at the same time these years! The sous chef who headed the kitchen that Sunday night was a delight to watch. They seemed to manage everything so well -- the kitchen ran smoothly and all relationships appeared amicable. The food, though, is why we've returned yet again! I've never had so much fun eating. Though we choose from the menu, each item is still a surprise because of the care and creativity of the preparation. The food is a feast for the eyes and my palate -- it's all so beautiful and also delicious. I've described Twelve to people as the most accessible of the nicer restaurants at which I've had the pleasure of dining. I can read the menu and know (basically) what I'm ordering! And yet, as I mentioned earlier, all the food still feels new to me. I've eaten broccolini with potatoes before, for example, but it's never been plated or tasted like this to me! The service is fantastic as well! My spouse and I don't drink much alcohol, but the individual who was describing wines to me (I was having trouble deciding on a glass) gave the most vivid descriptions I've ever received. Oh, and the explanations given as each dish was served were also helpful and interesting. My only suggestion for Twelve is to add hooks below the chef's counter (and maybe the bar is also lacking them?). At present, where is one supposed to put their bag while they're dining? My leather handbag was on the floor below me, which is definitely unexpected at most restaurants these days.

We were fine with that as it was the birthday of a member of our group. The problem with that was we really felt rushed from the moment we walked in the door. I'm sure staff was ready to go home for the night but if reservations are that late, they should be prepared to allow people to eat without feeling rushed. As annoying as that can be, my BIG problem follows: we were thrilled to be able to bring our little dog and to see they had a dog menu. We ordered the chicken from the dog menu for her. I was hand feeding her pieces (thankfully didn't just let her eat it on her own, as she probably would have eaten all of it!). When she had eaten almost half of it, I tasted a little piece and was super surprised to taste the spices added. I would have thought that it would be pretty bland. We asked the waitress what was added and she accommodated us by bringing the can of spices the cooks had used. It included salt, onion and garlic... all things that can be toxic to dogs. I spent the next few days worried about whether our little girl would have a reaction which really put a damper on our vacation. The waitress tried to make things right but shame on the cooks!! If you're going to have a dog menu, you should know what's safe to feed them.
