Came here with 2 friends in the second day of opening for Brunch. This place is counter order and they bring it out to you..think Panera Bread. No alcohol options like you may expect most Brunch places to have. We ordered the Veggie Tostadas, the Creamy MR Chicken in Creamy MR Sauce and the Sunny Benny. The food came out and immediately there was hair in the Tostadas and we sent them back immediately. the MR sauce was in the side of the chicken dish instead of the chicken being marinated in it. The Benny was just right. The Tostada was good after it was recooked. The owner apologized and offered free pastries which I told her it was ok, and I appreciated it. We came here for brunch with friends. The restaurant is so adorable and has many opportunities for pictures. The food was delicious as well. I got the lavender honeycomb pancakes, which were so soft and fluffy. The lavender syrup was very flavorful, and you could taste the lavender coming through strongly. Love this place. It is a woman owned business. It's in Waverly Place near Whole Foods. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Great place to meet a friend, sit, chat and enjoy the excellent coffee and breakfast selection. There cakes are amazing. I highly recommend them for wedding or birthday cakes. I'll definitely try it again but order something different. We were in a bit of a hurry today so I picked the fried chicken biscuit instead of smoked salmon and poached egg. They warned us when we ordered they were backed up and it would be 25+ minutes. The chicken breading had a great flavor, kind of like a dry rub for wings. Pineapple Sol is a small breakfast/ lunch/ brunch restaurant and we were there Sunday at 1:00pm. It was hectic to say the least. There was a wait, but we didn't know who was ahead of us or who was behind us. Were customers taking tables before us that showed up after us? There was know way to tell. We had an elderly woman with us so we were quite conscious of getting her seated and we couldn't figure out the system. The staff couldn't either. Did you order once you got a table or did you order before you got a table? Anyway, I decided to get aggressive and stand in the middle of the entrance way to the seating area making sure that no one after us was getting tables. The moment a couple stood up, I ran over and sat at their dish riddled table and we all examined what they didn't eat. Their left over blueberry pancakes looked delicious so we decided to order some for ourselves as well. I got the avocado toast. The blueberry pancakes were delicious and the avocado toast was nothing to write home about. The cappuccinos were tasty. We had a nice time because it was a reunion with a friend I hadn't seen for a while. Unfortunately, there were two screaming babies on either side of the restaurant making it difficult to converse. We had to huddle into the center of the table and repeat ourselves often. I would go back during a less hectic time and give this restaurant another try. Pineapple Sol is such a find. The location is amazing with a small play area for children not too far off from the restaurant and various other stores and restaurants in the shopping area. My wife had the morning Tostados and the Iced Latte which were delicious. The loaded truffle fries came with an amazing sauce and was enough to share with 5 people. The fish tacos were fried to perfection and went well with the greens, sauce, and lime. The strawberry shortcake shot was also a great addition. We definitely will come back for more. read more

I'd been wanting to check out this place but it's never open during the hours I am in this lovely Waverly Place shopping center 2X a week. I was very disappointed. The funfetti cupcakes have been refrigerated & are the smallest literally 2 bites if that of cake & all frosting that I've ever had & I go to allot of gourmet bakeries. Also, unfortunately I was charged the wrong price & said something about the price being too high & the person said it was tax so I asked for the receipt & could see they charged me for a more expensive cupcake than I'd actually chosen. So I had to get a refund the owner was on the phone & could hear me saying I was disappointed the cupcake had been refrigerated. I did eat it since clearly a refund wasn't forthcoming & it had already taken so long but I was very disenchanted. Friendly and fast staff. The area inside is a little small so sitting can be hard to find in the peak brunch hours, but they have plenty of outdoor sitting and comfy chairs as well. They only have a set number of the flight cups, so wait on these might vary depending when you go grab food, but when we went (peak brunch) they were speedy. They have a great selection of food and I had a hard time picking and ended up changing my order several times (thank you again to the wonderful staff for being so accommodating) ultimately decided on the ricotta pancakes and it was the best decision! The waitresses were fine, but the chef took forever to prepare the food. They were out of most of their menu. One waitress walked over to Whole Foods and purchased milk and other items. We got the Flight of Pancakes & the Breakfast Burrito, both of which were cooked, prepped, and presented very well. The lattes were a perfect temp and the palm tree stencil was a nice touch. Starting with it being halal, so a family member could eat everything on the menu, great prices, so much variety, the setting was adorable, and the food was great. Great food and decor/ambiance! The selection of breakfast and brunch items was varied and there's something for everyone. The drink choices were also very unique and fun. We shared a breakfast burrito and tostadas and indulged in the coffee flight. Both entrees were very flavorful yet not too salty, textures were good, and portions adequate. The coffee flight consisted of a rose latte, lavender chai, horchata latte, and hazelnut truffle. The rose latte was the winner but the other flavors were also very good. This was probably the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee/espresso. Definitely will be back to try out more of their food or drinks--apparently weekdays they have a pancake flight! Service was fine, no issues. This is a cafe and not a restaurant so it's the standard order at the register and grab your own water/cutlery. We got our food in a timely manner even though they were slammed with customers so pretty pleased overall. Location-wise, the cafe is in a beautiful shopping/restaurant area close to a playground. Seems great for both families and groups of friends. Lots of outdoor seating. Very clean inside, and the decor is cute with a lot of tropical/pineapple themes. Will certainly be back.
