I came here on a Friday morning late for some breakfast and decided to try the omelet with breakfast potatoes , which also came with toast. I also tried the refresher flight which came with 4 different drinks and a metal spoon to stir. I thought the presentation of that was really cute and the drinks did taste good. The omelet was just dry and lacked flavor for the most part. The staff was friendly and the decor was cute inside. I'll probably come back again to visit . read more

I followed this business before they opened this Brick and Mortar location. I was also interested in the picnics and charcuterie boards. They have beautifully prepared food that I've followed since moving to this area. Upon entering the doorway the crowds make one assume this was the best brunch in town! They have beautiful desserts upfront in refrigerator displays that look extremely delicious and I'm sure that they are. If you are not concerned with service and your typical beautiful Sunday brunch experience this is your place. The service is poor, very poor! The cashier and order runners lack enthusiasm. Maybe this was an off day. I'm not sure. The seating area is a challenge. It's ordering your food and finding your seat. There aren't servers serving you, besides bringing food to the table. That is it! I was concerned with the individuals bringing food out and cleaning tables not following sanitation guidelines. For example: bringing table 1 food out to them. Then cleaning a table where folks just left. Touching dirty plates and trash. Going inside putting those down. You're then right back outside taking a new table their food order. This bothered me! Why not have someone busing tables only. Why cross-train order runners as table cleaners too? Too much was going on there. We had a hard time finding a clean table. Our coffee flight arrived before we could get our table cleaned. We ordered our coffee flight with almond milk. I love that the coffee comes unsweetened. The coffee was pretty good. The pancakes were also delicious and the granola and berries made for crunchy nutritious topping to eat with my pancakes, which were different and good. I added a side of turkey bacon. I could only finish off half of the pancakes which are very thick and fluffy. The food I ordered could easily be a 4 but the overall experience alongside the poor service falls in at only a 3 star. I'm open to seeing the evolution of the restaurant. I know Pineapple Sol is new. With local support hopefully there will be some improvements in the experience. I loved this cute and quaint restaurant in Cary. I diner with a friend for brunch and we couldn't stop talking about how cute it was. There was outdoor seating but we dined inside. We had the steak omelette, pancake flight, lavender lemonades, and a cake pop. Prices were decent and the food was amazing. I was stuffed too soon because my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I only rated 4 stars because the service was super slow, and my friend received her food about 20 minutes before me, so by the time I received my food, she was almost done eating because I didn't want her food to get cold. But I understand restaurants have their off days so I will definitely return to try a lunch wrap and the coffee flight. read more

I'd say this place is overpriced. I had the croissant sandwich and orange juice my boyfriend had egg breakfast bowl with steak. My croissant was pretty good but over priced, my orange juice was not great and was a concentrate which I'm not a fan of. My boyfriend's steak was ground beef so if you get steak just know it comes as ground beef. His saffron latte was not that great, was not coffee house grade. Would not come back, not that it was horrible, but very overpriced and I like good coffee and fresh juices. read more

Wow ! What a pleasant surprise. Down visiting my sister and we decided to treat them to lunch. She said she hadn't been here yet , but wanted to try it ! We all ordered something different. The nice thing is that breakfast is available as long as they are open. Two of us had breakfast and two had lunch. It's great that they offer that option. We were all pleasantly surprised when our orders arrived. The presentation was a 10. The food was a 12 ! We were checked on periodically but the staff to make sure things were as expected. At the end of our meal a woman came out to check on us. We inquired if she was the owner and she affirmed that. That is always a great touch when the owner comes to the table. They have pride and feel confident the product they are serving will be well received. We chatted and discovered this was her first time in the restaurant business and had no experience other than home cooking. For the short time she has been in business , she is doing an amazing job transitioning from her home kitchen to a full fledged restaurant. She ended our day by bringing a coffee flight out as a token of appreciation and to tell us she enjoyed our conversation. Everyone said it was a home run. What great touch on top of tbeing delicious. We aren't novices , we own our own restaurant and we are wowed by her ability to build her business from the front door to the back of the kitchen. From the decor to the menu and how everything is prepared. Do yourself a favor and visit and see for yourself the wonderful job they have done and are doing there. I really wanted to buy into the hype of this place but I have to agree with the majority of the reviews. This place spent quality money on advertisement and I have to commend them on that because this place was super overrated. I went here with a friend to catch up over some "boujie basic Instagram-worthy coffee" cause we've seen this advertised a couple times through offline-durham-and-raleigh, but overall, this place was alright; nothing crazy or anything to rave about. The food was decent and the drinks were average. It wasn't the best, but it also wasn't the worst. I felt that the omelet was oddly greasy and oily so beware of that. Also the coffee flight only came as cold/ iced coffee. I have a feeling that their flavors would have been wayyy better hot than cold. As for the atmosphere, it didn't really feel that cozy. I will say it was very clean and the bathroom was tidy when I went. It's not that big of a space but they had a couple tables outside as well as booths and some tables inside. They also had a greenery wall where you're able to take pictures as well which I found cute. The service was average. I didn't have any problems with it as some claimed in other reviews. However, the girl that gave me my americano was a little shaky and if you look at my picture you can see it spilled around the edges. Overall, it was kind of a one and done for me. I wanted to see what it was all about but I feel like there are other better coffee shops around. Came here around 1:30 on a Monday. The inside is rather small, maybe sits about 25 people total with seating for about 16 outside. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food. We were immediately told our food would take 30 mins to come out because the kitchen behind and low on supplies.They actually ended up closing the kitchen after we ordered at 1:30 when they were scheduled to close at 4. Unfortunately their waffle machine down but I was able to sub for pancakes. The menu says chicken tenders but we got grilled chicken breast. The chicken was ok, but not what I was expecting and probably would not have ordered it had I known it was grilled breast. The blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes tasted like they forgot to put the lemon in the ricotta. The cinnamon pancakes were better. The Turkey club came without the Turkey bacon. The coffee flight was really good, I was very pleased! The lavender and rose drinks were light and flavorful but you can taste flowers w/o them being overwhelming. One of our chicken and pancake orders came without the chicken and we had to ask for it multiple times before going up to the counter to get it. Overall, it didn't meet my expectations. read more

Looking for a late lunch, I stopped by in the mid-afternoon and was greeted with excellent service and a good meal. For starters, the cashier was more than helpful with vegetarian recommendations. We settled on the Newport Burrito and an Iced Latte. I was given a number and picked a seat of the many open spaces. The decor is cute with a happy/chill vibe to it. My food arrived quickly, which I did appreciate due to my stomach growling at me. The food was good and filling. We visited this adorable, Instagram-worthy cafe with the hopes of trying the coffee flight. Every option was quite sweet, the coffee was well-made - our favorite was the maple chai, a great blend of sweetness and spice. I also ordered the pancake flight, which allowed me to sample different flavor options. All of them were quite dense and sweet (LOVED the apple one) and it was very filling. Our favorite dish was the truffle fries, they had a relatively light truffle flavor but were perfectly crispy. The employee at the counter greeted me upon arrival and was very patient as I looked through all their mouthwatering desserts. Eventually I decided on a brownie and napoleon. The brownie has a nice little fudge surprise in the middle! I do wish they labeled the desserts with names and prices, however my total was only $8 so they are not too pricy. Plus the employee named and described all the desserts for me. I recommend the earl grey tea and napoleon. The Earl Grey tea is flavorful and seems to have a hint of vanilla. The napoleon is perfectly sized and prepared. I also loved how quick service was. Only thing I found difficult was finding the place. My directions took me to Chicken Salad Chick/Shake Shack area. The food was cooked alright and served hot, but there was nothing special about it. The pancakes were probably my favorite. And the speciality coffee was probably my least favorite. Only get the coffee if you are all about that super sweet, non coffee-tasting coffee. My brother got the Philly cheesesteak with fries, which looked subpar, and the fries were super greasy. I came in for lunch with my wife and ordered the coconut curry. Unfortunately they were out of stock so I went with the empanadas and ordered one of each (beef, chicken, and spinach) because I like variety and want to try a little of everything. We also ordered two coffee flights, one being a curated selection and one chosen from a list of options. All eight coffees were delicious, but my personal favorites were the Chai and Lavender. When my empanadas arrived, I was a little disappointed to see that I was given 3 beef instead of the variety. I always feel awkward sending food back, but I simply told them what had happened and they apologized and quickly made me another order, while letting me keep the original three beef I had been given. When the new order came out, I was surprised they had not only made me the chicken and spinach, but yet another beef empanada. A simple mistake turned into three extra empanadas! And they still asked a couple more times if everything was okay. Now that is amazing customer service!! This cafe is situated in the beautifully landscaped courtyard of the Colonades in Waverly Place next to the Whole Foods! Brought my husband here for his birthday brunch. We really enjoyed the diverse menu and great coffee selections! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We chose the Coffee Flight with the seasonal flavors (Rose Latte, Lavender Chai, Horchata Latte and Hazelnut Truffle)! Soooooo good! For brunch we had the Pancake Flight (3 buttermilk pancakes - sooooo fluffy) and the Early Bird Sandwich (which had shredded steak, egg and cheese on a biscuit) with breakfast potatoes! I've heard so much buzz about Pineapple Sol that I was so glad to see it selected as a Yelp Elite event. Have been meaning to try it but haven't made my way over yet. Ambiance is pretty good as it's in a great location in Waverly Place. The store interior & set up wasn't changed too much from when it was Fresca Cafe & Gelato. There were lots of inside and outside seating. We placed our to-go orders at the counter, given a number and waited for our food. Service is definitely something that needed to be worked on. While waiting, I observed many people who were waiting quite a while for their dine-in orders. The food also came out inconsistently. At one of the two tops, one person had almost finished her food while her friend was still waiting. Another customer didn't get her side that was supposed to come with her sandwich and had to request for it. There also seems to be some confusion as to where to deliver the orders. They also didn't pick up the order numbers after busing the food out. Food wise, we enjoyed our sandwiches. My iced peppermint mocha was pretty good although I would've liked it a bit stronger with more espresso. Food was very fresh and obviously made to order since it took about 20 minutes to get our order. The Chicken Caesar Wrap was a generous size although it needed a bit more flavor or dressing. Fries were very good. The Grilled Chicken sandwich roll was very generous and full of well seasoned chicken with roasted peppers & mozzarella. For that sized sandwich, it should've been cut in half & maybe held together with club picks. It was a bit cumbersome trying to pick it up. I love salad and appreciated the option as a side but I didn't care for the dressing. It was a sweet strawberry vinaigrette. To me, it didn't go with the sandwich. Need to go again & try the other menu items since there's some great selections. With this busy location, they need to iron out the kinks in service. While I understand that everyone is short staffed, someone needs to expedite the food to make it more efficient. read more
