The owner was also so kind and attentive. She kept checking in on us and made sure we had enough side dishes throughout the meal, which made us feel very welcomed. At first, $68 seemed a little expensive, but the portion size was HUGE. There were only two of us and we barely finished half. What we ordered: Original Jokbal + Fried Jokbal Set ($68) The portion is huge -- easily enough for 3-4 people. Original Jokbal The pig skin is cleaned really well. The texture is tender and gelatinous but not mushy, and the meat is still firm. Wrap the thicker pieces with lettuce and kimchi -- it cuts the richness perfectly. Fried Jokbal (my favorite!) The outside is super crispy, and it flakes apart when you pick it up. Inside it's still soft and juicy -- that crispy-outside, tender-inside contrast is amazing. Not greasy at all, and it gets more flavorful the more you eat. They also cut it into small bite-size pieces, which makes it really easy to eat. The extra dishes were all solid too Mussel Soup Light and slightly spicy -- really refreshing and appetizing. The mussels were very clean with no fishy taste. Potato Pancake Crispy outside and soft inside. The kids loved it -- basically gone in minutes. Boneless Chicken Feet with Cheese We ordered mild spicy, but it was actually pretty spicy Very flavorful and soft in texture. The banchan spread was impressive They bring out a whole row of side dishes: kimchi, glass noodles, pickled radish, bean sprout soup... After playing it safe it would have been better to get the fried version or spicy version. But it was still really good. And all that food for $60! It's such a deal. You can order the classic 족발 (pig feet), but they also have a deep-fried version which I tried for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious (doesn't smell and isn't like your chewing on rubber like most other places. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but what happened here is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I ordered the Jokbal Bento ($19.99), which is normally a to-go-only menu. Upon my request, they kindly made an exception and served it in the hall. I appreciated that and even noted they gave me more portions than usual -- so yes, I felt the $25 I left (tax + ~15% tip included) was fair. However, I later checked my credit card statement and found I was charged $26.94 instead of the $25 I authorized. This was done without my consent. Whether it was due to being unhappy with the tip amount or an internal mistake, it's still unauthorized charging, which is illegal under basic consumer protection laws. This is especially disappointing because I had planned on becoming a regular customer. But trust is the foundation of any customer-business relationship, and charging more than what a customer authorized completely breaks that trust. I am publicly requesting a refund of the unauthorized $1.94 difference to make this right. If this is resolved promptly, I will be happy to update this review accordingly. Until then, I cannot recommend this place, because no matter how good the food is, unauthorized charges are never acceptable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I want to update my review to 5 stars because the team at Pink Pig Jokbal went above and beyond to resolve the issue I experienced.
