Had a 6:45 reservation tonight, place was packed and very loud. Food was good service was good again just very loud. Growing pains on food arriving at table, main courses showed up the sides we had to ask for as they were not brought with main courses. Place feels like a Miami Beach restaurant in a strange location behind anthonys market on Dixie. hopefully it does well was not cheap. read more

Disappointed. First my friends napkin fell on the ground. Waiter picked it up and handed it back to her k stead if giving her a new one. Second a bug flew into my wine. When I handed it to the wine steward instead of bringing me a fresh glass of wine he brought me an empty glass. The filet had a smoky taste to it like a Smokehouse would have on ribs. The place is really nice decorated in pink, The service could be a little better little slow and sitting in the patio is not recommended. It was unbearable. There was at least a 20° difference from inside from the patio on the outside. They push the alcoholic beverages however water service is slow. and over priced $245.00 for a steak is a little too much. I would go again however I would not sit in the patio. I asked a waiter why couldn't they air conditioned the patio area he said that they're waiting to see how the restaurant does before.they invest another $50,000 which I don't think it would cost that to air-conditioned patio. Management is insulting. We asked if we could step into the bar for a drink. We were invited in. When we sat at the bar (which was a journey from the door), we were told by the management that we would have to leave, wait 10 minutes, and hats were not allowed. Very condescending. After we left the door, he followed us to invite us back in when they were set up 10 minutes. We declined. The environment is fun. Not supporting a poor managed establishment. What can I say except EXCEPTIONAL. We dined at Pink Steak for the first time as we did not plan and called that day to see if there were any cancellations. The person that answered the phone could be nicer and accommodating. Just so happens they just received one and we were able to get in. Pink Steak opened in December and is one of the hottest restaurants in palm beach. Greeted warmly and seated promptly for our reservation. The vibe is very upbeat and pleasing combining South Florida flair with sophistication and taste. My wife in an interior designer and she raved about the detail and quality of the decor. The menu is simple but done very well that would satisfy any diner. We had the Sushi ( Pink Steak special ), Caesar salad which is not your traditional Caesar but spectacular , filets which were tasty and perfectly done along with truffle fries and Sweet Potatoes and goat cheese casserole. Oh my goodness. FANTASTIC......... Well when you have such a fantastic dinner, you finish it off with a sundae that was with homemade vanilla ice cream.... This by far is now our favorite restaurant in Palm Beach and will certainly make plans to go soon. I am torn between 2 and 3 stars. The interior buildout pushes it to 3 - stylish, sexy, NYC chic - incredibly well done. But the quality of the food and service was underwhelming for a restaurant that sets its price points at the top of the market. The receptionists and our waiter were pleasant but clearly inexperienced. The quality of the food was good but not exceptional. The wine list was extensive but poorly balanced and a bit pretentious. ( Memo to owner, the days of unlimited corporate expense accounts are gone ). To be clear, my review is based on a value to price point analysis. If pricing was notched down by 20/25%, I would give it a solid 4 star ( still need to upgrade the training for waitstaff and hire more sophisticated receptionists). I commend the owner for taking the risk to venture into white tablecloth dining. He nailed it with Avocado Grill. But in the world of dining, he is now, pardon the baseball analogy, going to " the show". It is a lot easier to hit .300 in Toledo than it is in Yankee Stadium. read more

I don't know where to start. I was excited to take one of my top clients to Pink Steak after being a fan of Avocado Grill. Made a reservation for 4 and was unable to get a table so went with the high top. We were greeted nicely at the door but things went downhill very quickly from there. The high top was the smallest I've ever seen- not sure it would have accommodated 2 comfortably let alone 4. There was a large birthday party that evening which the server said were friends of the manager. They were supposed to have the outside area but chose to crowd the bar area due to the warm weather. They were in the way of the servers and crowding out the diners sitting on the nearby high tops. It was so hot in there we were literally sweating. The food was ok as were the sides but we had zero room on the table. They were out of the wine we ordered (it happens) and we got another option. We had to ask for water refills multiple times and although there were several managers onsite not one came to our table to ask how we were doing. Here's the good part...the server plopped the check down and after I paid and left the tip (all in over $600) she comes over and says "my manager sent me over and we need your table." My jaw literally dropped. My client was floored and it was the most embarrassing situation ever. I spoke with Manager "Carlo" on the way out who denied he or his managers sent her over and gave me his cell number. One of the numbers was not legible so I called the restaurant and spoke with him. He said a normal timeframe for a "small party" is 2 hours. I suggested they were being aggressive with the bookings and thought that should have been disclosed when I made the reservation. He became defensive but offered a $150 credit which was never received. I will never go back and gave heard similar stories from friends about their experience at this establishment. My husband took me there last night for my birthday! I'd been wanting to try this place since they opened. We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived shortly after 7. We were seated immediately. Right from the start the waitress was really pushy. Before even taking a drink order she rambled off specials I wasn't even paying attention because I was still looking at the drink menu . We ordered a drink from the bar and an appetizer. Both arrived to the table at the same time. We ordered the crab cocktail . As we finished with the appetizer, they took our plate away and right at that second our meal came. no time to sit or relax. after being interrupted probably 15 plus times from our waitress, we finished our dinner. As soon as we finished they grabbed our plates. The waitress immediately threw down the dessert menu Gave us about one minute to order came back again. I had to keep explaining we were not ready yet. we were discussing if we even wanted to stay there anymore but decided we ordered coffee, after dinner drinks and a dessert for my birthday. before the dessert even came to the table she threw the check down on the table. My family is in the high end restaurant business and I am appalled at how they rushed us. Our check came at around 7:45 we were not even there for an hour. I was so upset because I wanted to sit there and dine and enjoy your night out with my husband and he was upset too. Our bill was $300 which is fine. We don't care about the money. It was the fact that $300 for a dinnerand we were treated like we were at Applebee's. The food was spectacular at least what I was able to enjoy. We had a reservation at 9pm (it was the only one available that night) and didn't specify outside seating yet we were seated outside. Tried to change tables but there were no tables inside at all apparently. Not great to sit outside when you get all dressed up for dinner! Food is completely overpriced! We ordered oysters and they were the smallest oysters we had ever seen yet we were still charged the same price. Steak tartar had so much parmesan and breadcrumb things on it that's all you tasted. Ordered steak medium rare and it came out medium + on a hot plate, I will never understand the hot plate!! Over all just overrated for what it is and what you get. Sat at the bar for a meal after a long work trip. The bar tender spent the ENTIRE time in was there flirting with two customers. It was borderline uncomfortable to watch and she never checked on me, never even served me water. At the end of the she poured me some more wine and said it was on her because "i was being quite" ???? I am not sure what exactly she was trying to say by that comment. Being a resident of West Palm Beach's SOSO, I have been looking forward to the opening of Pink Steak. Let me start off by saying that the food and decor are very good & staff are very cordial. What is not good are the prices, what they charge for and staff knowledge of the menu. Pricing is on the high end for both food and cocktails---- on a par or even a little higher than Palm Beach eateries. When inquirng staff about the East/West Coast oyster selections, we were told that the East Coast oysters were from New Zealand and West coast oysters from Baja California! Really!? The most shocking thing of the evening was receiving the bill and seeing a line charge of $4.00 for "rocks" (the ice for a scotch on the rocks)... I have traveled all over the world but have never seen a charge for ice before! We paid the bill as presented but could not help feeling we were abused. This restaurant has a way to go to be successful. Hopefully they can do so before season ends and have to rely on locals to survive. read more
