It was painful getting my gel off, getting my cuticles pulled, and the scrub on my legs was too much. Then a corner was taken off one of my toenails, half of them are uneven, parts of the nails don't have enough glitter flakes, and my large toenail didn't get filed or taken off properly and looks like I have stuff under it. I paid for a deluxe but there was absolutely nothing done that was in addition to a regular pedicure....no paraffin wax, callous removal, etc. When we were finishing up, I asked Lisa if I could use the restroom. She said yes but when I asked the Bosslady where it was she said they didn't have a working bathroom. Interesting. I will not be returning.

He always makes sure I'm 100% happy with my nails before I leave. Holly is my absolute go-to for pedicures. Between her and Ken, I always leave feeling relaxed, taken care of, and refreshed. The salon itself is always clean, the music and atmosphere are such a vibe, and I love that they always offer a drink (I never say no--their white wine always sets the mood for me). When I pointed out that the flowers were supposed to be pink and purple, she appeared frustrated about having to redo them. I apologized for the misunderstanding and explained that I thought the white was just the base color that would be painted over. After that, I felt uncomfortable with how my service was handled. While doing my cuticle work, the technician nicked my skin twice, and toward the end of the service seemed to be digging the cuticle cutter into my fingers more aggressively. I brought the cuts to management's attention before leaving. I also had concerns about the pricing. My total was $122, and I was told I was receiving a $7 discount, bringing the total to $115. However, the salon advertises a cash discount, and when I offered to pay cash, I was told I could not receive the cash discount because I was already receiving the $7 discount from fingers being cut. This was confusing and did not feel transparent. To be fair, I do like how my nails turned out, and I tipped both technicians because I appreciated the work that was done. However, customer service and professionalism are just as important as the final result. I have experienced similar issues here before, and after this visit I don't feel comfortable returning. I've included photos of the cuts on my fingers as well as the finished nails so others can make their own judgment. I also included a photo from a previous time my cuticle was cut that I brought to their attention which hurt very bad and received a $5 discount.

Getting to the salon wasn't too difficult, some street parking wasn't too difficult. The salon had a cute and modern vibe to it! I was instantly seated by Tammy and she got to work. They had an iPad at each station, which really made my experience here relaxing. I had a hard gel set on, and Tammy did mention how they'd have to start clean and remove this set. I was charged for removal, which I wasn't the greatest fan of. I asked Tammy for a classic nude, white ombré with a bit of glitter on top, and she delivered! This is probably the best set of ombré nails I've ever had done!!! I've had many nail techs say how ombré nails look better on longer nails, but Tammy made things work with the nail length I was comfortable with! I was a bit skeptical of the longevity since it wasn't the hard gel I'm used to, but this set legit lasted me over FOUR WEEKS (with the exception of one nail that had gel-ex on because of some previous nail damage)! If I were in the area more often, I'd go back to Buttercup in a heartbeat!!!! They are on the pricier side, but you'll be paying for quality IMO.

She's quick, so talented and most importantly, a really sweet soul! :) I'm sure some of you can relate but I sometimes struggle to find beauty techs that are both good at what they do and attentive. Tee makes you feel comfortable every step of the way which I really appreciate. I'm moving near Santa Monica soon and i'll be making the drive to see her regularly because she's just THAT good. Her work is elite!! Also, the owner Kim is so kind and gets you scheduled in super quickly. I never have a hard time getting myself in for a set and it's always such a friendly environment once i'm there! Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot in the back which makes things that much easier too. Book with them I promise you won't be disappointed!!

As soon as I arrived, I was offered a beverage, which was a nice touch. Abby was my nail technician, and she did an amazing job! I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted, and she was able to replicate them perfectly. They came out exactly how I envisioned them. It was also my first time trying Gel-X nails, and I absolutely love them--I will definitely be getting Gel-X again! Crystal did my gel pedicure, and it also came out perfect. Both technicians were professional, friendly, and paid great attention to detail. I also loved their use of technology. The technicians, especially Jenny and Annie, are incredibly talented and are the only reason I continued returning. They consistently provided great service and treated me with kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, the ownership is the complete opposite. On more than one occasion, appointments were rescheduled without informing me that the specific technician I requested would not even be working that day. Instead of notifying me beforehand, I wasn't told until I arrived for my appointment. I was offered a credit as an apology, but when it came time to pay, the husband conveniently disappeared, leaving his wife to deal with the situation. What bothered me even more was witnessing how the owners treated their employees. During appointments, they would interrupt technicians in the middle of providing services, speaking to them in a way that was distracting and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I expect my appointment to be relaxing--not repeatedly interrupted because management chooses to address employees while they are actively working on clients. It unnecessarily extends the appointment and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. As a business owner myself, I respectfully expressed that I felt this was unprofessional and disruptive. Rather than accepting constructive feedback, Christina, the owner, became defensive, called me "trash," and told me not to come back. That response alone speaks volumes about how customer concerns are handled. I have no problem taking my business elsewhere. I support businesses that value both their customers and their employees, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. If you're looking for a salon with professional, respectful ownership, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The technicians deserve recognition for their excellent work, but in my opinion, the owners' behavior overshadows the quality of the services they provide.
