They do a nice job on pedicures, but for regular nail polish the ring of nail colors you choose from rarely matches how the color comes out. I wanted a bright purple shade, and the first one I chose came out as a bright pinkish when she painted the first nail. I asked for another color that looked a little more purple but came out almost black from the bottle. We tried one more that was also way more pink than the little sample plastic nail. They did offer to keep trying different polishes but I didn't have time and honestly they should have you choose the bottle rather than the sample nail that looks nothing like what the polish in the bottle is like. Finally I just decided to go with a boring neutral rose color that mom would choose just to be finished with it. The sample nail and the color from the bottle were the same drab shade. read more

First, I would like to say I've been going to the shop for about a year now solely because it's NOT hard to find a nail shop in San Francisco, but it is HARD to find someone that can shape good. But this nail shop has let me down completely. The past couple of times I have went my nails have chipped SEVERELY literally a day after!!' I came in for a fill-in. One of my nails were messed up. That happens, so I thought maybe he would take off the nail. NO INSTEAD WHEN I ASKED HIM IF HE COULD FIX IT, HE RESPONDED WITH " that's how your nail is" after I explained it's not that the nail is crooked. It's just that the nail is shorter than the others and not as square. He proceeded to tell me. "WELL GET a NEW SET THEN" I stated this was the new set he just did less than two weeks ago. I'm only back because my nails were chipped really bad! He huffed and puffed as he took the nail off very aggressively ! I can tell he was frustrated so I kept my headphones on and was silent while getting my nails finished. I was deeply disturbed because I $TIP$ them really well and I NEVER cause problems or speak up about my nails. Being in this field you got what it takes to be able to UPLIFT someone's CONFIDENCE whether it be with Hair , NAILS or makeup but only uplifting this guy did was my nails alright. This looks like exactly what he did. He glues the nail at the tip of my nails which I thought was off when he was doing it I had to make him glue it down a lil more. But by the time I said something he was already on my left pinky. Anyways he did my nails like shit I paid $65 for some nails that looks like they got stuck in between a slammed door. I switched from my previous nail salon to theirs last year because of the high level of service and the time they take to service you. Dennis and Natalie are gems and you can tell that they care about their clients and employees. I recently got a volcano pedicure, an organic 5-step treatment with integrated CBD oil that bubbles and fizzes. It includes cuticle work, file, buff, callus treatment, sugar scrub, collagen masque, and collagen lotion and last but not least a 10 minute massage. The pedicure was excellent, and the chair I sat in was really comfy, complete with settings for massaging your back. I usually get a gel mani on my natural nails and a gel pedi. I once got an acrylic set and it was soooo cute. I definitely recommend stopping by and it may be easy to miss if you're driving by. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend so I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. I already came in knowing exactly what I wanted. I wanted the pearly chrome pigment over light pink polish. I was greeted by a lady who then proceeded to work on my nails. I told her I wanted gel so she showed me all the colors they had. I then asked for chrome so she took back all the colors and gave me their chrome examples. I asked her if I was able to put pink underneath the pearly chrome colors and she didn't seem to understand. She still had work to do before polishing so I decided to tell her after. Most place usually soak older gel nails for 10 minutes but she did it for less than five. When she realized that it wasn't coming off, she filed all of it off. That was a first for me. She also managed to cut me three times while cutting my cuticles and blamed it on my cuticle growth. To be honest, I have gotten my nails done every two weeks for the past year and a half and this has never happened. I understand that my cuticles might have been unruly, but it is your job to take care of it; this is why I came. I'm a very passive person so I just said it's okay. When it was time to polish, I asked her for the pink underneath the chrome again and she said okay. When she started polishing, she used white and then the chrome pigment. By then, it was too late so I settled. I also later found a piece of dust on my middle finger. My experience could have been better. Two stars, because the lady did try and because the parking wasn't too horrible. I was also able to do a walk-in but that doesn't mean much. I'm not too sure if I'll be back again, though. read more

I am a gal who likes acrylic manicures as my manicure of choice. I like the durability of the acrylic nails over gel polish. I also like to do traditional polish on my toes. That being said, I just moved to the area and was looking for a new salon. This place has a sign out front with some pretty low prices.... It was enough to get me in the door. Also, it looks pretty updated inside, unlike many of the other mail salons within a few blocks on the area (believe me, I've popped in just about every salon on mission St within about a 1 mile radius of this place). They have a pretty wide selections of colors available in traditional polishes, gel polish, and acrylic powders. I was pleased with the selection. I was told (initially from the sign out front, then by confirming with the lady at the door) that an acrylic full set was 25$ +up. I ended up doing a black French manicure with one accent nail on each hand, and just a simple polish change on my toes. The total ended up being $55 - not sure where the extra charges came from, as I didn't get any artwork or anything - I guess they charge more for colored powders than just the regular pink and white combo.... But I didn't even get a full pedicure - which would have been $17. I should have asked how much the polish change was before hand. If your on a tight budget, just check with them how much something will cost before you get started. Overall I was pleased with the job. I had a gentleman do both my toes and nails. He did a fine enough job...although I hope I get someone different next time. While he was very nice, and I could tell he was trying hard to accommodate the specifications I was requesting (see below paragraph), he just didn't do as good of a job as I wanted. My nails are pretty uneven and he cut my finger with a file. (ex: I like my nails to be very short because I type on a computer all day at work; I like the "tip" of the nails to be thick so it's still natural looking when they are shortened at a fill 2 weeks later; I prefer that the nail itself is not overly thick as it makes it difficult to pick up objects and makes them look much less natural) read more

This was my first time coming here. I came on Valentine's Day weekend and there were only two other people there! Ladies you know some nail shops line sometimes can be out the door. But surprisingly they were not full. Well I was seated right away. They had music on ,pop for the most part and it was updated music so no need for your headphones if you forget them. I was asked what I wanted before they started. Well I got a man, totally forgot his name, but he is good! He didn't speak English but he knew what he was doing. I wanted me feet done as well so he moved all my stuff to the pedicure station and even came over to finish my nails! Yesss I like when I don't have to sit forever. To get you feet and hands done at the same time is life! I wasn't cut not one time. They are gentle and kind. They also use a hit towel on your hands and feet big plus! THEY DONT HAVE ALL OF THE CHROME COLORS. BIG NO NO! Ive been a huge fan of the chrome lately so to find out that I couldn't fry my brain with the many combinations had me at a lost. My daughter recommended this place and last night we went for a pedicure. "Big Mistake" the lady that did my pedicure scrubbed the side of my feet so hard that it scraped off a piece of my skin and I started to bleed. She was very young and clearly doesn't have enough experience as she was scrubbing my foot like if she was shining shoes. She scrubbed on the soft, sensitive area instead of the rough dry areas of my feet. All she did was apply some burning blue liquid and pressure! She put on a band aid and that was it. I rate my pedicure by the MASSAGE and the finished look of the nail. The massage was less than 60 seconds and it felt more like rubbing lotion on me than a relaxing massage. So thats where they lost a star. The people next to me looked like they got great massages but my lady did not put much effort. The finished nail polish was a little spotty or uneven along the edges. I don't know how the service is here, I just know that they're not reliable. I called them this morning and got an appointment for 6pm, asking several times if they have time for a mani pedi since they close at 7:30pm. The lady told me it's okay and I can definitely go at 6pm. I left work early and got there around 5:30pm, just to see the salon's lights turned off and the door locked.
